Under The Spell Of Embellished Promises
The accomplishments,
Of that which has been achieved...
Is better served with observation.
Than by a spotlighted podium,
Lit to hear a litany of speeches...
Delivered with enthusiasm,
To entice a show of excitement,
By those impoverished...
Under the spell of embellished promises.

Rapid Hope Loss
You've come to say you wanted out
Well I can't say I blame you now,
Sometimes you got to fold before you're found out.
Thanks for waiting this long to show yourself,
because now that I can see you,
I don't think you're worth a 2nd glance.
So much for all the promises you've made, they served you well
Now you're gone and they're wasted on me.
So much for your endearing sense of charm, it served you well
Now it's gone and you're wasted on me.
You've come to say you wanted out,
but I can't say I blame you now,
Sometimes you got to fold before you're found out.
Well thanks, thanks for waiting this long to show yourself
to show yourself
because now that I can see you,
I don't think you're worth a 2nd glance.
So much for all the promises you've made, they served you well
Now you're gone and they're wasted on me.
So much for your endearing sense of charm, it served you well
Now it's gone and you're wasted on me.
I guess that all you got is all you're gonna get,
so much for, so much more.....
I guess that all you got is all you're gonna get,
so much for, so much more.....
Do what you want if that's what you wish,
I can't be a partner to this
you've got a sense that you were born with
You'll find a way to make things right.
I guess that all you got is all you're gonna get.
so much for, so much more....
I guess that all you got is all you're gonna get.
so much for, so much more-

Emotations of Life
Emoting for affect,
Some get.
And assured of responses,
By those unfamiliar with such nuances.
Embraced by sympathizers,
Stroking a doting empathy...
Some have rehearsed to receive.
Expressing emotations of life...
Complete with assorted tantrums.
And they feel it a duty...
Some God given right,
To tug and drench every available heart.
Claiming with one dried eye,
Those in observation are not satisfied...
Nor convinced!
And are cold and insensitive.
Especially after such performances delivered...
Do not bring them to their feet applauding!
These scenes are extraordinarily black and white.
And the demand today calls for more reality.
Dripping with a more blending mix of colors.
Representing with less conflict...
Those in attendance,
And others who have been attracted to view,
Such an array of embellished emotions.

That Interest Factor
That interest factor I once had,
Has packed.
It's gone.
To no longer wish to entice excitement.
And nothing that it has already experienced,
In an environment of minds clinging onto despair...
And recreating woes,
Can stimulate the generating of pep and vigor again.
It's just too exhausting to keep that kind of hope alive.
And I have struggled with the 'whys' and 'reasons',
People have such a priority...
To complain about their illnesses,
As 'if' picked and selected as custom made gifts.
I have prayed to stay with belief my showed devotion,
Would prove to anyone my loyalty could never be undone.
And the lesson I have learned is to dismiss the saying of 'never'.
That interest factor I once had,
Has packed.
It's gone.
To no longer wish to entice excitement.
However...
And I must say this,
My own happiness has not been affected.
It has been left intact without a need to have it shared.
More than anything I do care about that.
That interest factor I mentioned that I once had,
And has packed to leave to go...
Has been forwarded to a fresh destination.
Where appreciation stimulates,
Everyone's participation.

Learn How To Spell
Learn how to spell.
You will do better.
You will do well.
If you just take more time...
And learn how to spell.
Don't you wish to be understood?
Knowing a comprehension...
Has been received.
In the best way an understanding...
Could be achieved.
Learn how to spell.
You will do better.
You will do well.
If you just take more time...
And learn how to spell.
It's not difficult today,
To deliver your message...
In a correct way.
Consider a dictionary as your friend.
And refer to it often.
Not just on a whim.
With a skipping of a 'now'.
And delaying a 'then'.
If you want what you say,
Leave an impact your way?
Learn how to spell.
Do that today!

Overnight Observation
(j. farrar/t. snow)
Looks like Im the only one here
Even the nurse is gone
But I guess I should wait cause when she left, she said
The doctor wont be long
So make yourself at home
His office is down the hall
Why do I feel uneasy?
I know he must be good
Got credentials all over the wall
I hear a voice behind me say
What seems to be the trouble, my dear?
Wont you be kind enough to step over here
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
Please dont think me ungrateful
But holding me overnight
Seems a little extreme
Do you always serve martinis
And turn the lights down low
Doctor, do your colleagues know?
Although you say its good for me
I really dont feel like dancing now
Somebodys waiting
And Im double-parked anyhow
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
Now, I may look stupid
But Ill tell you what, Ive been around a long time
And I thought I had heard everything
I tell you, they keep coming up with them
I just couldnt believe my ears when he said:
Kick off your shoes, relax my dear
Slip into something comfortable
Two seconds flat, Im out the door and down the hall
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)

Until Suitable Rescue Has Been Achieved
Okay!
So it is 'not' quicksand!
'No.
And this is my interpretation...
It is a de-elevation,
Of a resettling horizon.
And the vertical descending,
Is to keep one's faith...
In the restoration of hope.
And any observation to the contrary...
Is to be ignored until suitable rescue has been achieved.'
Should I make that announcement 'now'?
Or when suitable rescue has been achieved?
'It is still too premature to assess the situation.
Let's get to the bottom of this first,
Before any decision is made that may be cause for alarm.'

Doing One or The Other
Do not 'threaten' with promises,
To move and go away.
Do it!
Your perception will be enhanced.
You will know who misses you and why.
You will know the value of your opinions.
And that influence you believe you have achieved,
Over others?
Sit and wait by your telephone,
To hear how much you are endeared!
Do not 'threaten' with promises,
To move and go away.
Do it!
Your perception will be enhanced.
You will either perceive yourself,
As being an overused convenience.
Or you will quit leaving yourself voicemail...
To test an underused answering service.
Doing one or the other will snap you into reality.
And dramatically your thoughts will change.

Delivered!
To you;
Delivered!
For you;
Delivered!
With you;
Delivered!
By you;
And like the muse of love in the land of peace!
But, you are a slave to somebody;
And, i am Ofosu from Ghana.

My Goal and Mission
When happiness is achieved,
Is it more perceived than is received?
Does it have to be something that comes from outside?
Does it have to be delivered?
Or generated from inside?
I often wonder why some aren't satisfied,
By pursuits attempted or challenges tried!
It can't be all about things that brings a smile!
Or a certain lifestyle lived without denial.
There has to be a comfort in accepting 'who' one is!
Something that allows someone to feel 'lifted' and positive!
When happiness is achieved...
It can be seen in someone's face!
That's my goal and mission in my life...
As I eliminate all bullshit that's erased!

Nothing To Show
Nothing to show beyond the fear I had
Body so warm within his perfumed bed
Sleeping alone, the shadow of a man
He will entice you too, and if he can
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing is handed, power is changing fast
Many the empty hopes his lips caress
Sorry to say his days are spent in vain
Chasing a dream of doom of nights in pain
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Shadowy nights of memories of the grave
Gentle my love and sweetness sometimes sick
Keep up his time while his crimes are known
Only a fool can see he's sold his love
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been
Nothing to show for love has never been

None Will Admit They Knew
It is useless,
With a tinge of foolish ignorance.
To make attempts at snatching back...
Embellished moments from the past.
Those disgruntled would prefer...
Redoing by way of a fast track.
Glimmered with rewritten facts.
Forget that!
The unbearable days facing,
Those recently awakened...
Are traumatically dramatic.
With a hint that scents the air...
There is more of this to spare!
So much truth is out there now.
Remember the days when this was not allowed?
And those who dared to be honest out loud...
Had been declared negative.
And today their efforts should be spotlighted.
These folks should be applauded,
'Before' taking their bows!
It is useless,
With a tinge of foolish ignorance.
To make attempts at snatching back...
Embellished moments from the past.
Those disgruntled would prefer...
Redoing by way of a fast track.
Glimmered with rewritten facts.
And upon asking what they would do,
After going through what is known.
None will admit now,
They knew then what was coming.
Since they spent most of their time,
Ostracizing and shunning...
The ones they chased to noose to trees.
And dangling from a hanging.
While losing their breath...
Trying to get as many who were running,
Away...
To escape those blinded by lunacy.
Only updated today,
To put on display more of their craze!

We must get the American public to look past the glitter, beyond the showmanship, to the reality, the hard substance of things. And we'll do it not so much with speeches that sound good as with speeches that are good and sound; not so much with speeches that will bring people to their feet as with speeches that will bring people to their senses.
