Slow to wake up!
Too slow,
To awaken to what has been real.
Don't expect me to freeze in place.
Awaiting for you to embrace life,
As it is!
It is to be lived.
Not turned into a quiz...
You just can't get and figure out.
And your pouting is not admired.
It's like a flat tire needing air!
You are just not there!

No one's got time on hold.
To benefit them...
And/or their whims.
When for them time will begin again.
Show or no show folks...
Who poke along,
And make joke of it.
Putting off 'the now'
To live a yesterday today...
Should be left on steps where they sit!
Or wave to them through a window!
Don't stop to visit.
They seek someone to twist into a fit!
Many know such folks,
Who complain about their sorrows.
And they will drain someone's patience.
To stall tomorrow's anticipated taste.
And squeeze the sweet,
To share their bitterness...
With anyone they meet.
It is to be lived.
This life!

Leave People Who Live Life Alone
Some may say I don't 'NEED'
But that I 'WANT'!
But I know what I need...
And it's you that I want.
If I say it's you that is on my mind?
I know what I'm wanting and needing,
From time to time!
Folks don't have enough to do on their own.
Why can't they leave people who live life alone?
Maybe they are the ones many try to avoid?
But that isn't complete because they are everywhere,
To annoy!
And opinions? Do they have them! Some by the case!

Satisfying That Attraction
Needing you.
Needing us,
Here.
Now.
To know we are together.
Not just to tolerate.
For purposes to berate.
With a condemnation...
Instigated to irritate an initiation,
Of a heated debate.
We have our differences known!

I am not those dark days lived.
To perform an existing within shadows.

One who sits comfortably...
Fixed to fears,
Of my own image appearing...
On walls that I visit forelorned.
I can not accept a misery imposed upon me.

To Be Cherished
I'm not needing to be told,
I should have someone in my life...
Who will appreciate me for who I am.
I'm not needing to be told that at all.
I'm just not ready to share my time,
Trying to convince someone...
I am a treasure,
To be cherished for the rest of their life.
And I have not found a single person,
Prepared to believe it!
I even had someone in my life,

I Should Have Been More Responsible...
i should have been responsible for you
suffer for your loss
i could have drawn a map to find you
you are lost
it is this regret
that i keep on leaving
i, too, has a life of my own to live
a mountain to climb
a river to cross
a house to build or destroy
if i really want to
a grave to visit, flowers to throw away
to the winds
it is this disappointment that has kept me alive
i could have been more responsible
to each of you, sick and needing help
or dying and needing even just a prayer
but i too, has the time too short
to accomplish what i haven't
lots of unfinished business too
and so i cannot be yet taken
i've been empty, so empty that i begin to float
i drift like everyone else
still undecided where to land and be myself again
when i was just born
what i lost, i have not yet recovered,
my innocence, what i had was so much, this pride,
what i must achieve, seems but only a dream,
and it is not coming, no signal, no warning,
death for instance... oh,

What am I doing?
Trapped inside.
I know the rules,
from the path I hide.
Wandering back to this viceral space.
No need for love,
I'm lost in this place.
Torn pieces of pain and sin.
What am I thinking?
The bulb is dim.
I have no cards left to play.
The game is dead yet here I stay.
Mistake on mistake,
another string breaks.
Why am I falling in this disgrace.
A fool I am,
