Threat

Is it there or not?
A credibility slips away...
Yet fear continues to be marketed,
Without a hint
It will decline or stop.

A drama created to scare with baited hate...
Shows backstage antics,
Of those players who manipulate!
And the curiousity of the audience...
Has removed them from the edge of their seats.
As the director huddles with the cast and crew,
To introduce 'THREAT' as serious...
With less sweetness and a tension that creeps.

But those behind this performance are finding...
Themselves in heated sweat.
Receiving eyebrows raised from a backlash,
Unexpectedly they sense
Will soon come and upon them be dispensed.

And a lockdown begins!
Forcing those attending...
To sit and prepare for an updated end.
As armed guards from the stage seal exits...
To enclose all viewing this retitled, 'UNDOING'.

'The popcorn machine has been removed!
Those grooving and finger popping...
Prepare yourself for shocks unstopping!
And your delusions for scenes,
Of a serenity that beams...
Can now be dropped for a taste that mocks,
A perception that comes close to confinement! '

When The Set Has Changed

Both of us are too 'stage' ready.
We are those, 'Light, camera and action' folks.
Easily provoked...
When in meditation.
Or whatever that is called,
After someone is seen nodding to a sleep...
From boredom.

Both of us are too 'stage' ready.
Drama bent...
And prepared to chew up the scenery.
At a moment's notice.

However...
What is there to prove...
When the set has changed.
And so has the crew!
And the seats of the audience have been removed...
Without a single question asked.

To leave the ones rehashing the past...
Astonished they no longer mesmerize!

reality

There is no backstage...
Nor a prop table.
Stage manager? No.
There is no lighting
Sound
Assistant director,
Or make up artist!
This is raw and upfront!
If what is said makes you vomit...
Do so at your own risk!
Once 'REALITY' starts,
All exits will be closed!
This performance promises
To nail you to your seat!

We Are Not Removed

The oceans roars its fear to us,
But we are not removed.

The wind beats its fear to us,
But we are not removed.

The earth shakes its fear to us,
But we are not removed.

The people scream their fear to us,
But we are not removed.

Ocean, wind, earth, and people
May try to strike us down
But evermore shall we endure-
For we are not removed!

A War Song to Englishmen

Prepare, prepare the iron helm of war,
Bring forth the lots, cast in the spacious orb;
Th' Angel of Fate turns them with mighty hands,
And casts them out upon the darken'd earth!
Prepare, prepare!

Prepare your hearts for Death's cold hand! prepare
Your souls for flight, your bodies for the earth;
Prepare your arms for glorious victory;
Prepare your eyes to meet a holy God!
Prepare, prepare!

Whose fatal scroll is that? Methinks 'tis mine!
Why sinks my heart, why faltereth my tongue?
Had I three lives, I'd die in such a cause,
And rise, with ghosts, over the well-fought field.
Prepare, prepare!

The arrows of Almighty God are drawn!
Angels of Death stand in the louring heavens!
Thousands of souls must seek the realms of light,
And walk together on the clouds of heaven!
Prepare, prepare!

Soldiers, prepare! Our cause is Heaven's cause;
Soldiers, prepare! Be worthy of our cause:
Prepare to meet our fathers in the sky:
Prepare, O troops, that are to fall to-day!
Prepare, prepare!

Alfred shall smile, and make his harp rejoice;
The Norman William, and the learnèd Clerk,
And Lion Heart, and black-brow'd Edward, with
His loyal queen, shall rise, and welcome us!
Prepare, prepare!

Smasher - Devourer

Fear me not but fear my hell
Man made me so I could kill
Praise me in the name of war
I destroy both rich and poor
I am the way, prepare for salvation
I am the way, prepare for salvation
Strength in time of suffering
Man alone is a weakling
Ascension is what you ask
I will be the fall of man
I am the way, prepare for salvation
I am the way, prepare for salvation
Salvation...
Those of you who dare to stray
I will tear your mind away
Those of you who dare to stray
I will take your life away
Salvation...
I am the way, prepare for salvation
I am the way, prepare for salvation
Salvation...

Archetype

You must never forget the essence of your spark
All of that which defines you is the essence of your blood
The infection has been removed
The soul of this machine has improved
Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real ?
This is real !
What you wish to be.
You must never forget, to modernize performance
Malignancies on the system will handicap, slow up and rust
The infection has been removed
The soul of this machine has improved
Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real ?
This is real !
What you wish to be.
Can you see ?
Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real
This is real
What you wish to be.
Open your eyes ...

Theatrics

A captivated audience is easier to trick,
With surprising theatrics.
Than those who have rehearsed,
The implementing of fear to test periodically...
For the effectiveness of reactions expected.

'We did it!
Finally we got a standing ovation.
Everyone sat on the edge of their seats.
We must keep this momentum at its peak,
Every performance.'

Must See

To keep a people pre-occupied with fear...
Is to have their routines and traditions suspected,
Of being threatened.
Create visions that will keep them awake,
By entertaining their consciouness...
With something that brings them,
To the edge of their seats!
Like those scary movies that allows no sleep.
Hype and tease their peacefulness,
With something that leaves them with no rest at all.
And label what is created as a 'Must See'...
To be witnessed and believed!
With an advertising of it kept marketed,
Done nonstop to keep them reminded!

Unkind

No longer can their antics be called asinine.
This mindlessness has been going on for quite some time.
And refusing to deny this,
Created a spiraling decline.
Leaving those behind in a process they find,
Unkind!

No longer can their tragic deeds be of benefit.
Not when they've shot themselves in the foot...
And unaware of it!
They chose to follow a path they thought would profit them.
Only to dig deeper in regretted debt,
They now smother in.

As they swirl together in a whirpool of sins,
That shows no mercy and strangles them.
With an intention gaining the momentum and is...
Unkind!

No longer can their antics be called,
Asinine.
This mindlessness has been going on,
For quite some time.
And refusing to deny this,
Has created a spiraling decline.
Leaving those behind in a process,
They find...
Bitter without sweeteners, angry and unkind!

Devotion 1678 Initial Version

Devotion now, as then, persists,
as wellspring which may not be broken,
lament turns triumph and insists
upon a heartfelt love's sighed token.

Thus memory may troubles soothe,
prepare for future brow unfurrowed,
as hope and trust henceforth removed
all thorns, all storms, all dark caves burrowed.

Time slips away, yet one eternal
poetess all praise deserves,
who, light-in-darkness, all infernal
blocks spiting tocsin - never swerves

Dig in

There is no other way.
Once that way has been,
Removed from suspense.
And in one's mind
Begins to deepen,
With a revealing
Pointless to defend!

Dig in,
And get those benefits received.
Forget about that which was taught,
And thought.
Would be so easy.
As if just to wish.
All fantasies one would quickly get.

Dig in,
And get those benefits received.
Forget about that which was taught
By those.
Live to get rich people.
Who wanted to make it look as if,
Not a finger.
Anyone had to lift!

When something is deserved,
It comes to those who do the work.
Very few people
Get from giving hands,
Clean and clear of a sign of dirt.
People deserving are those who work.

People who struggle,
Are not unaccustomed
Of facing their own troubles.
And often are the ones,
Receiving their 'good luck'
Doubled up without much of a fuss.

There is no other way.
Once that way has been,
Removed from suspense.
And in one's mind
Begins to deepen,
With a revealing
Pointless to defend!

Dig in,
And get those benefits received.
Forget about that which was taught,
And thought
Would be so easy.
As if just to wish
All fantasies one would quickly get.

Dig in.
Be the one to make what it wished,
For you begin to happen.
Dig in!
Useless are those complaints.
No one hears,
Or pretends to listen.
Dig in!

The Stage

If the world is just a stage
and we're the actors in it,
why do the same ones get to play
the lead roles every minute?

For once I'd like to see a change
take place upon this stage
where the lead characters are the poor
stepping out of their cage.

Where all the minor roles would be given out
to all the power players
who've controlled this drama from the start
having never said their prayers.

And as the curtain rose each day
we would look and see
the poor and needy in front row seats,
the rulers in standing room only.

If this is just a stage we're on
and life is just a play,
then wouldn't it be ingenious
to see them all portray
us.

In An 'Awesomestruckness

People seem to be dazed,
In an 'awesomestruckness'.
Being peeled away from fantasies...
To witness in disbelief,
An audacity confronting them.
With low credit scores.
And poor returns on money wasted,
They so once adored.

A consuming of delusions,
Has faded their quick to sweeten interludes.
A discourse has taken place!
And the cost of their neglect...
Has soured their protected harmonies.
Along with planned vacations they were to take.

Realities have not left them pleased with this.
Such an 'awesomestruckness' striking...
To endanger their moisturized,
And bitten to lick cracking lips.

An embittered taste begins erasing...
Their addiction for delicious waste.
Even their protests are ignored,
As they scour at the prices...
Of melons they would squeeze,
At local stores...
Beginning to soar.

Scenes with bling and other things,
Are diminishing from their diets.
Nails and wigs with flowing extensions...
Have found many unable to afford,
Even their arched eyebrows to be plucked.
How can this bush above their eyes,
Be ignored?

Panic over antics done...
Has caused some men to go unlifted.
When the use of viagra can not overcome...
Dwindling wallets being emptied,
As they limp stunned.

This awesomestruckness has startled,
Those of romanticizing disguises!
A veil once protecting them,
From reality
Has suddenly been lifted to shock.
No longer can they mock those of the 'have nots'.
Now that they have been dropped...
Like those they had shown no pity!
And many show them none.
As they do a public flip flopping,
In view of everyone.

Convulsions of an old stage actress

Oh! The cracked lips are like a severe drought.
And the sunburn skin as an Ethiopian race.
Her sleepless eyes caught a bygone memory.
She was admired on the stage when the curtain raised.
And the incessant rain of clapping, where were they gone?
The playful audience.
Still she acts in the life-drama but no spectators.
The stage is almost dark and she hears the faraway theme song gradually draws nearer.
She does the rehearsal; 'Stagecoach has come with all the horses,
Before it gets dark I have to pass the woods.
So I leave the script here for my brothers & sisters and the drama is not yet over.'

Lyrically Maneuvered

Lyrically maneuvered.
That's the only way I move.
With content and something meant...
That puts me in a mood.

I'm lyrically maneuvered,
Grooving in a cool behooved.
There has to be a need in me..
To soothe my attitude.

And I don't need a finger popping rock,
To get me started.
And I don't need a cushioned beat...
To pat my feet!

And I don't need a finger popping rock,
To get me started.
And I don't need a cushioned beat...
To pat my feet to a meter.

Lyrically maneuvered.
That's the only way I move.
With content and something meant...
That puts me in a mood.
And...
I,
Don't need a finger popping rock...
To get me started,
No!
And I don't need a cushioned beat...
To pat my feet,
To keep up with a meter.

And...
I,
Don't need a finger popping rock...
To get me started,
No!
And I don't need a cushioned beat,
To pat my feet...
To keep up with a meter,
If the lyric keeps my heat up.

The Art Of Life

If anyone believes,
The one standing alone...
Taking the heat under spotlight,
Runs the show...
Hasn't met the director or the producer,
The manager, assistant manager.
The script writer, agent, publicist...
And a host of others behind the scenes.

If anyone believes,
The one standing alone...
Taking the heat under spotlight,
Runs the show...
Doesn't know theater.
Or who calls the shots,
To enable any light to shine
And be spotted anywhere.

Theater is staged.
No matter whose name is on the marquee,
To sell the tickets.
Theater is staged.
And the best acts are trained to fill the seats.
If one knew theater,
One would know the art of life.

And the importance of having not only a good director...
But one with the bucks,
Who can keep the production afloat long enough to seduce...
Is the key to selling an audience sold on what they see,
Until the curtain drops to signal the end of the performance.

Taken from its natural habitat to be staged,
The art of life...
Is only theater to delude and to captivate believers.

On Hearing Of A Death

We lack all knowledge of this parting. Death
does not deal with us. We have no reason
to show death admiration, love or hate;
his mask of feigned tragic lament gives us

a false impression. The world's stage is still
filled with roles which we play. While we worry
that our performances may not please,
death also performs, although to no applause.

But as you left us, there broke upon this stage
a glimpse of reality, shown through the slight
opening through which you dissapeared: green,
evergreen, bathed in sunlight, actual woods.

We keep on playiing, still anxious, our difficult roles
declaiming, accompanied by matching gestures
as required. But your presence so suddenly
removed from our midst and from our play, at times

overcomes us like a sense of that other
reality: yours, that we are so overwhelmed
and play our actual lives instead of the performance,
forgetting altogehter the applause.
