Those Who Hold The Reigns of Change

Thoughtless.
Arrogant.
Disrespectful.
And showing a high disregard,
For humanity.
Lies.
And flaunts an elitism.

'Oh...
She is much too outdated to lead,
The masses.
And she declares herself the more experienced?
That's the kind of experience,
We no longer need!
And besides...
There is one already,
Who has been totally ignored!

What do they believe they represent?
What other clues do they need?
He was nearly on his knees begging!
Can't they see...
Those who hold the reigns of change.
Those who could care less,
About such pretentiousness! '

Clues To You

There on those days when the sun barely touches the sky
Your eyes are so heavy with the morning
And there you lie on the horizon of my mind
Streams flow through the consciousness of time
And I follow your every movement for a clue to you
You cover my eyes with your deepness
You wrap my soul in the beauty of it all
You take me away from my incompleteness
Lead me all the way or not at all
And times too precious here
I cant wait for clues to you
I cant wait for clues to you
Dont wake me if Im dreaming, no, no, no, this is my reality
If I touch you tell me will you blow away
Please dont move now until you set me free - set me free
I cant wait for clues to you
Name the time and Ill be your place
Remove my eyes from this deathly haze
Now Ive been living shades of blue and grey
Dont you know Im ready for a brighter phase
And times too precious here
I cant wait for clues to you
I cant wait for clues to you
Wont you catch me if I fall too fast
Dont let me fly too high
Youve released me from my earthly grasp
And now youve got me in your skies - in your skies
I cant wait for clues to you
Now I dont want to wait anymore for clues
Let it rain
Let it wash on down
Cant wait for clues to you
I dont want to wait anymore for clues

Your Hero

The heroes of the masses they live for their renown
And the masses create their heroes and then drag their heroes down
And the masses are unpredictable they change from day to day
And some of their heroes like the Autumn flowers are quick to fade away.

Yet there are millions of unsung heroes and they live on every street
And every day a hero I feel privileged to meet
True heroes male and female yet by the masses unsung
The World is full of heroes of heroes old and young.

Some heroes of the masses are arrogant and proud
And their egos over-swollen from the adulation of the crowd
But give me the unsung heroes who go their own quiet way
Who out of the kindness of their hearts perform one good deed every day.

Many heroes of the masses are not heroes to me
Though every day I walk the street some true hero I do see
Your hero is chauffeur driven and drinks the most expensive wine
And you can have your hero but your hero isn't mine.

Down I my knees

I continue the journey
Hypocrites still worry
Will wrong turns lead to mistakes
She fears it's my soul that I forsake

I'm blind
Though it's you who can't see
the pain within me
I'm deaf
Though it's you who can't hear

The tremble in my voice
the tear falling down
Down on my knees
Begging
God please

Bring her back
Show her I'm sorry
Tell her that I'm sincere
Life without her, that is my fear

It's not insecurity
Immaturity
It's me given completely
I feel the best part of me is gone
Feeling like this
This reality is all wrong

Can't you hear
The tremble in my voice
the tear falling down
Down on my knees
I'm begging
God please

God please
I'm begging
Turn her heart to me

Are You Experienced?

If you can just get your mind together
Uh-then come on across to me
Well hold hands and then well watch the sunrise
From the bottom of the sea
But first, are you experienced?
Uh-have you ever been experienced-uh?
Well, I have
(well) I know, I know, youll probably scream and cry
That your little world wont let you go
But who in your measly little world, (-uh)
Are you tryin to prove to that youre
Made out of gold and-uh, cant be sold
So-uh, are you experienced?
Have you ever been experienced? (-uh)
Well, I have
Uh, let me prove it to you, yeah
Trumpets and violins I can-uh, hear in the distance
I think theyre callin our name
Maybe now you cant hear them,
But you will, ha-ha, if you just
Take hold of my hand
Ohhh, but are you experienced?
Have you ever been experienced?
Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful

Around The Sun

I want the sun to shine on me
I want the truth to set me free
I wish the followers would lead
with a voice so strong it could knock me to my knees
Hold on world 'cause you don't know what's coming
Hold on world 'cause I'm not jumping off
Hold onto this boy a little longer
Take another trip around the sun
If I jumped into the ocean to believe
If I climbed a mountain would I have to reach?
Do I even dare to speak?--to dream?--believe?
Give me a voice so strong
I can question what I have seen
Hold on world 'cause you don't know what's coming
Hold on world 'cause I'm not jumping off
Hold onto this boy a little longer
Take another trip around the sun
Around the sun
Around the sun
Around the sun
Let my dreams set me free.
Believe. believe.
Now now now now now now

Because Of You

well i see the color in your eyes
they set me free, they get me high
no sister flower will be denied, girl
the heat of affection, a fragile mind
because of you(hold) man my dreams came true
because of you
because of you(hold) man my dreams came true
because of you
and i feel the warmth in your touch
my ego trips, i cant get enough
that satisfaction lies in your, girl
i wrote this song, so you'll understand
because of you(hold) man my dreams came true
because of you
because of you(hold) man my dreams came true
because of you
because of you(hold longer) my dreams came true

Be My Escape

I've given up on giving up slowly
I'm blending in so you won't even know me
Apart from this whole world that shares my fate
And this one last bullet you mention
Is my one last shot at redemption
Cause I know to live you must give your life away
And I've been housing all this doubt
And insecurity
And I've been locked inside that house
All the while you hold the key
And I've been dying to get out
And that might be the death of me
And even though there's no way of knowing
Where to go
I promise I'm going
Because
I got to get out of here
I'm stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake
I got to get out of here
And I'm begging you
I'm begging you
I'm begging you to be my escape
I've given up on doing this alone now
Cause I've failed and I'm ready to be shown how
You've told me the way, and I'm trying to get there
And this life sentence that I'm serving
I admit, that I'm every bit deserving
But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair
Because
I've been housing all this doubt
And insecurity
And I've been locked inside that house
All the while you hold the key
And I've been dying to get out
And that might be the death of me
And even though there's no way of knowing
Where I'm going
I promise I'm going because..
I got to get out of here
Cause I'm afraid that this complacency is something I can't shake again
I got to get out of here
And I'm begging you
I'm begging you
I'm begging you to be my escape
I am a hostage to my own humanity
Self detained and forced to live in this mess I've made
And all I'm asking is for you to do what you can with me
But I can't ask you to give what you already gave
Because I've been housing all this doubt
And insecurity
And I've been locked inside that house
All the while you hold the key
And I've been dying to get out
That might be the death of me
And even though there's no way of knowing where to go
I promise I'm going
Because
I got to get out of here
I'm stuck inside this rut I fell into by mistake
I got to get out of here
And I'm begging you
I'm begging you
I'm begging you to be my escape
I fought you
For so long
I should have let you win
Oh, how we regret those things we do
And all I
Was trying
To do was save my own skin
Oh, but so were you
So were you

Tired Of Bleeding, Emotionally

Begging on my knees...
For you,
Not to leave me.

Begging with my heart...
And soul.

Begging on my knees...
For you,
Not to leave me!

Don't let me go.
Do not let me go!

Begging for you...
To believe,
I love you.

I feel incomplete.
And so...
On my own.

I wish my hurting,
You would release!
And feel that I am,
Tired of bleeding...
Emotionally.

Begging on my knees...
For you,
Not to leave me.

Begging with my heart...
And soul.

I wish my hurting,
You would release!
And feel that I am,
Tired of bleeding...
Emotionally.

Don't let me go.
Don't...
Let me go,
Again!

Don't let me go.
Do not,
Let me go...
Again!

Familiarity With Self And Confidence

I never before experienced rejection,
Until it was done.
And...
I never before experienced disrespect,
Until that was done.
And...
I never before witnessed bigotry or hatred,
Until that was done.

And...
Living my life being blessed,
Lead me to experience age 63.
But prior to that...
I had no expectations.
Nor had I ever rehearsed...
Anything I did for the first time.
Not one age did I live to repeat.

Familiarity with self and confidence,
Makes things easier to do,
Once one chooses life as an exploration.
And refuses to be slotted as a classification.

Not Experienced

Deciding to finally be direct...
After years of beating around the bush,
May be a refreshing step for you.
With a mind hesitating,
In an outdated point of view.

But for those who now could care less...
What from them you expect.
Your steps taken,
To see the forest 'and' its trees...
Has left you alone,
In a reality once accepted...
As those observations,
Came then too quick.
To take as they were.
Inspect and leave.

Since for many what you perceive,
Is a reality lived,
And gone as it was believed.
What 'was' no longer exists.

Today changes have become,
Complexed.
And in these times that continue on...
You may find what's next for you too perplexed,
For someone like you...
Who's not experienced in being direct.
You will find that reality you have has gone.

The Best Of Images That Represent

Expensive is the ongoing investment made,
In ignorance.
No longer is it cost effective,
Deciding who sees and who stays blind.
Or the act to praise some with an uplifting done,
While leaving others behind.

Who made the decision,
To choose those to represent high ideals?
Who made the decision,
Selected standards and values...
Would be the best etiquette?
Who decided to mess up everything like this?

And who self righteous,
Will ever admit...
Something has gone terribly wrong,
In their insistence persisted...
Of this permitted existence.

Expensive is the ongoing investment made,
In ignorance.
No longer is it cost effective,
Deciding who sees and who stays blind.
Or the act to praise some with an uplifting done,
While leaving others behind.

Who made the decision,
To choose those to represent high ideals?
Who made the decision,
Selected standards and values...
Would be the best etiquette?
Who decided to mess up everything like this?

And please,
Don't let it be...
The act of illegal aliens.
Or those homeless and hungry,
Pleading on their knees.
Wishing to give the best of images that represent,
The quality of life and those highlights of a great society.

Too High

Above the cloud lies a yellow sun sky,
Where all appears clear, nothing passing by,
Too high for the birds when upon the wing,
Too high for a phone to so harshly ring,
What peace reigns there, gone away all the strains,
Of a life commuting on planes and trains.

Above the cloud there is just endless space,
Nothing to plague you, liberty’s embrace.
Too high for one’s everyday problems there,
Too high, so one wouldn’t have a care
What a freedom we would suddenly find,
By leaving this earthbound land far behind.

Above the cloud is one glorious day,
So how about we go there right away.

I Apologize If There Has Been a Misunderstanding

'Your 'knees' are my main concern.
And the only reason why,
I keep my eye on every detail...
Of your activities.'

~Excuse me!
No offense.
But I do believe you mean my 'needs'.
Correct? ~

'Your NEEDS?
Don't get arrogant and uppity with me.
As long as you remain on your KNEES...
Knowing your place?
We will continue to get along,
Just fine.

You folks always 'think'...
Too much.
And perceiving yourselves,
To have a freedom to be delivered to you...
Of some kind!

I apologize if there has been a misunderstanding.
I did not intend to interrupt your comfort.'

Slow Dance On The Inside

Passed out in our school clothes so we'd wake up in our Sunday's best
I never asked for your opinion, I just got it and I get it
You move slow like daytime drama
And I'm boring like his songs
So while I'm taking you for granted
We'll be humming along
Well cross my heart and hope to
I'm lying just to keep you here
So reckless (so reckless), so,
So thoughtless (so thoughtless)
So careless, I could care less
Cross my heart and hope to
I'm lying just to keep you here
(So reckless) I'll keep you here (So thoughtless)
(and I could care less)
So paint your face up something elegant
And this time maybe a darker shade of red
Cause a long night means a fist fight
Against your pillow and my pearly whites
I want to hear you scream you like me better on my knees
So let us grieve
(we don't believe in second chances)
So let us grieve
Don't you ask me
Don't you fight
Cross my heart and hope to
I'm lying just to keep you here
So reckless (so reckless), so,
So thoughtless (so thoughtless)
So careless, I could care less
Cross my heart and hope to
I'm lying just to keep you here
(So reckless) I'll keep you here (So thoughtless)
(and I could care less)
Well cross my heart and hope to
I'm lying just to keep you here (I'll keep you here, I'll keep you here)
This glass house is burning down
You light the match, I'll stick around
I'll give you everything you want
And wish the worst of what I was
This glass house is burning down
You light the match, I'll stick around
I'll give you everything you want
And wish the worst of what I was
Tonight won't make a difference
Tonight won't make a difference
Tonight won't make a difference
Well tonight won't make a difference

The Poetic Experience

writing for me is like hammering
a nail... you keep pounding till
it's driven. what i have tried
to do, in collusion with others,
is to amass a body of work that
celebrates the human in human
beings... with all its pain,
suffering, turmoil, and all the
trials, the human experience is
still the eternal experience...
the only hope for humanity to
survive lies in turning inward.
until we know ourselves, we can
never have the god experience,
and can never truly interact with
others, can never even see others,
much less know them! we are mere
reflections of each other, mere
reflections of god... the sameness
that lies below our differences
is both deep, and wide!

Not too high

One should not aim high if there is little doubt
It must be based on sound and seemingly concept
To learn from own experience and base the facts before
Wise man gets result on hand there fore

Think of your own ability and go ahead
Only real one is to be thought over and lead
What even if something turns wrong
Nothing comes out easily even for cheap song

Even birds go to the limited height
They know how much to carry as weight
It needs careful planning and formulation
As it has some bearing with relation

You may fall down like stone
If you plan haphazardly and alone
It will not give you any kind of answer
As it is not exactly to the truth or near

“Stretch to your limits” Legend goes on saying
In the long run it may not be worth paying
It may have pain and sufferings at the end
If one remains under illusion and doesn’t change trend

To aim for high is best quality
To work hard in that direction is proof of your ability
But certain things you must leave to fate and almighty
This is called wise step and there lies its own beauty

Aging Excuse Making Children

Difficult and with stress it is,
To be an adult.
And live in an environment surrounded,
By old and aging excuse making children.

Difficult to know it is who is being responsible,
And who to hold accountable...
For the raising of disrespectful kids,
Found totally without initiative or discipline.

It is so hard to maintain one's patience,
And make attempts to explain...
Even to those who appear to have brains,
What the benefit of staying motivated is.

And if one should expose to show concern,
With sincere understanding and comprehension...
One has learned from experience,
This is interpreted as trying to be better than the others.

And eventually...
The one who has grown to be that mature adult leaves,
To keep a nurtured peace of mind...
And those perceptions aging children keep to believe,
Alone for them to condone.
