Those Fantasy Years
Scratch off your list
Any decisions you may have
About 'your' wishes.
We have begun to distance you,
And those in pursuit...
From the 'wish' business!
Those fantasy years,
Have been erased!
They have been replaced.
And/or severly reduced...
For a quick,
And timed-released usage!
An explicit seriousness,
Has got to be sold!
Anyone objecting,
Will find their popcorn...
Too stale, too salty
Not fit to eat!
And too old to sell...
On these streets of hell,
Today!
Those films stocked with delightful,
Talking animated animals...
Are currently being deleted,
For quick adult escapes.
To make accountability,
No longer some else's responsibility!
Competent thought levels,
Must be reached.
Wipe those tears...
And tie up those 'sneaks'!
Pull up those jeans,
That show your butt cheeks!
A traumaticized reality...
Although not test marketed,
In modern memory...
Is overdue!
And will be enforced!

Society
Talking to someone today,
we reminisced of years gone by.
We reflected on things
when we were young and didn’t have,
and how much fun we had.
We didn’t have TVs, CDs or DVDs,
computers or anything like that.
We had to twiddle a cat’s whisker to hear
the radio we might have built.
What we did have was an imagination,
creating games we could play.
We didn’t destroy everything in our wake,
but looked after everything we got.
Today our society it doesn’t matter,
things are so easily replace,
if you break something today
you can always replace it tomorrow,
and the wastage that goes around,
because nothing means much anymore.
Years ago, we used to treasure
everything that we got.
Today it means nothing,
as they have everything and want for naught.
Everything has lost its value.
Now just look around and make a list,
of what material thing in your life
that can never be replaced.
Then do another list of everything
that can be replaced.
The first list will contain next to nothing,
and the second will go on and on.
This should show you a picture of our society today.

When I started in the business, there was a thing called adult fantasy, but nobody quite knew what it was, and most publishers didn't have an adult fantasy list. They had science fiction lists, which they stuck a little bit of fantasy into.

Required Prerequisite
A call to duty,
Few use refuse.
It once had been an honor to do it.
In those days passed,
When patriotism was a thing to choose.
And everyone felt this,
Without making an excuse.
Today,
Quick escapes...
Is as natural as responsibility betrayed.
And having no accountability comes to surprise...
As many display themselves to be disrespectful.
Without a sign of regret to disgustfully criticize.
As if the act of expressing respect,
Has become a required prerequisite...
Most folks have come to think as weak.
And this, if shown, is today despised.

Quick
Quick to dismiss,
That which is misunderstood.
And quick to do this often.
Because one can and could.
Quick to define something wrong.
Quick to complain about it,
All day long.
Quick to sit to nitpick and pull apart.
As if this quickness was intended from the start.
Quick to resist a comprehension that exist.
Quick to allow a temper tantrum fit.
Quick to whip up excuses...
And split to disappear.
Quick to discover the nearest exit!
That's what troublemakers do...
When they stir up others in raging fits!

An Exchanging Of Footsteps
Could it still be a possibility,
That one's life lived exclusively...
Running away from responsibility,
Can learn after many years spent...
Ignoring the benefits obtained,
In acquiring skills in arithmetic.
Or the process it takes to comprehend,
What has been read to broaden a limitation...
Accepted in one's head instead,
To begin to attach those pieces that fit.
And they eventually could sit patiently,
With a doing of this?
Let us not be quick,
To lift with a raising up of our right eyebrows!
Many dismissing the discipline it takes,
To quietly absorb a practice in listening...
Actually wait until it's too late,
To find someone desiring to teach an adult...
To undo those childish stunts in a mind done.
Even children in their fifties can learn!
Let us not be quick,
To lift with a raising up of our right eyebrows!
A willingness to waste another's time,
Is okay.
Until it has become decided,
Someone's seriousness is ready to be displayed.
And...
Is reason enough to give away,
Those experiences acquired by someone else.
And we all can participate in the joys of life.
Let us not be quick,
To lift with a raising up of our right eyebrows!
There are people all over the place,
Willing to sacrifice their time, minds and efforts...
With their experiences suffered alone to condone,
In an exchanging of footsteps!
All it takes...
Is just for 'one' of us to let this be known.
Let us not be quick,
To lift with a raising up of our right eyebrows!
Let us, you and me...and Mother Love,
Just for a few moments abandon realities!
And...
Use our minds to perceive of this,
Idealistically.
'Yep!
Didn't I tell you?
They were doing much more,
Than the changing of test scores...
In the teacher's lounge.'

Supply and Demand
To package anything,
To attract and sell...
Entertain and seduce.
Takes skill.
Takes knowing the audience.
And marketing to their lazy ambitions.
The kind that is talked about with wishes,
To fulfill!
This takes talent.
From concept until production released,
To package anything...
To attract and sell,
An appealing of it...
Has to be somewhat addicting.
And satisfying enough to keep it defended.
Because it is thought to be so good.
And the thought of not having it,
Craves one into a rage.
Needing a fix.
Some have fits if they don't get it,
Easy and quick!
And supply and demand,
Increases its worth.
Like any drug,
Cropped and harvested.
And supplied here on Earth,
To have it find its value.

Unfinished Business
Took a walk outside, the truth was on my side,
But I didnt even make the corner.
Revolution in my sights, the time seems so right,
But I never even saw it coming.
Cant let it go. oh no, no.
Cant you hear me call, bang my head against the wall,
Cant stay around this place forever.
Cant you see, we gotta be free,
We all gotta come together.
Dont let go, oh no.
Unfinished business,
You thought youd keep me quiet.
You put a bullet in my side, but you cant put out my light.
Unfinished business,
Yes, loves the only way to find peace today.
The futures here today, we gotta find a way,
To put all the pain behind you.
You gotta put down the guns, all religion is one,
Politicians only want to blind you.
Break away, oh theres a way.
Oh, the message is clear, wipe away all the tears,
And build a better world around you.
Got to give out your love to each and every one,
Cant you see its only fear that holds you,
Let it go. oh, let it go.
Unfinished business,
I though that I was right[? ].
What that fool put out that night, [? ] burn so bright.
Unfinished business,
Oh yes, loves the only way to find peace today.
So you thought youd take my life,
Put a bullet in my side, but you cant put out my light.
Unfinished business,
Loves the only way to find peace today.
Unfinished business
Unfinished business
Unfinished business
Theres a long road behind you,
Its a hard life if you make it one
Come on to the other side [? ]
There is no place to hide
Unfinished business
Unfinished business

Children
Playgrounds, playscapes, games and fun.
Escapes and escapades...
Away from a seriousness is done.
A raising of children to become older kids,
Is the intention throughout adulthood.
And this is welcomed by more than some.
With a responsibility that never is achieved.
Since many were bred to be fed,
To stay as children in their heads...
Free of any accountability to feed and spread.

They Remember
What makes you say you are more qualified,
To represent the needs of the people.
With a connected understanding,
That makes them unquestion your experiences...
Free to erase from them any doubt,
About your commitment.
'Well...
All of those you now hear cheering me on,
Behind us?
Every one of them has had opportunity,
To drag me through the coals.
Objecting to my outspoken comments,
Regarding the decline of their quality of life.
And that was a few years ago,
When they were quick to label...
Those opposing,
As crazy mixed up nonconformist maverick.
And today?
Not only have their minds changed...
Reality from them is no longer distant.
Believe themselves too,
To be totally out of their minds.
And they remember,
Who it was unafraid to tell them that!
You can say,
They have found their own way...
And without me,
To see themselves...
More looney than I can possibly be.
And they have faith,
I will not abandon them.

Not Experienced
Deciding to finally be direct...
After years of beating around the bush,
May be a refreshing step for you.
With a mind hesitating,
In an outdated point of view.
But for those who now could care less...
What from them you expect.
Your steps taken,
To see the forest 'and' its trees...
Has left you alone,
In a reality once accepted...
As those observations,
Came then too quick.
To take as they were.
Inspect and leave.
Since for many what you perceive,
Is a reality lived,
And gone as it was believed.
What 'was' no longer exists.
Today changes have become,
Complexed.
And in these times that continue on...
You may find what's next for you too perplexed,
For someone like you...
Who's not experienced in being direct.
You will find that reality you have has gone.

The Watch
I wakened on my hot, hard bed;
Upon the pillow lay my head;
Beneath the pillow I could hear
My little watch was ticking clear.
I thought the throbbing of it went
Like my continual discontent,
I thought it said in every tick:
I am so sick, so sick, so sick;
O death, come quick, come quick, come quick,
Come quick, come quick, come quick, come quick.

Making Decisions
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
How often does a hindsight renew,
A clearer vision wished we had then used.
How often do we then excuse this...
As mistakes we've made,
Too late to shake away.
To turn around unphased,
Just to have things our way!
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
How often does a hindsight renew,
A clearer vision wished we had then used.
While making decisions wearing the same old shoes.

Gratefully Not Available
No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
You call...
After all these years.
To have a confrontation,
Or to leave me in tears?
Which is it?
A call to see how I am doing?
To ask who I am screwing of late?
What audacity you have,
To think I am here waiting?
I'm surprise you're still alive!
I have no intentions to return to your jive.
No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
I am doing well.
And I hope you are too.
I have no animosity in my heart for you.
I have gone on with my life...
Inspired and motivated.
Is that what you do?
You want us to discuss what went wrong?
You want us to reconnect,
To make what you left stronger...
From your point of view?
You must be crazed to believe those days,
With you I wish to relive.
To raise more havoc I rid from myself...
To invite back with you to live?
You're nuts!
No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
And no matter what thoughts you had,
And still have of me...
I appreciate your call.
However...
Erase from your mind,
Any memories you believe I still cherish.
No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
In fact...
Burn it!
And connect this to your mind:
'For you there is not time!
It has gone.
And I am gratefully not available! '

Double Up On Shock
Double up on shock.
And gather as much as possible,
To keep stocked...
When a wishing for it,
Can no longer be resisted.
Profiling those suspected,
Of being nonconformists AND independent thinkers...
Is enough to carry around a signed baseball bat.
Hopefully to be sold before its actual usage.
Stained memorabilia does not produce a high price.
Not to pay at someone else's expense.
'Excuse me?
Is that blood?
OR ketchup?
With the remains of someone's nose,
Dried into the bat? '
~Oh no.
But it certainly appears that way.
If purchased today...
We can discount it for you.~
Double up on shock.
And gather as much as possible,
To keep stocked...
When a wishing for it,
Can no longer be resisted.
Who knew that all that oil gushing in the Gulf,
Was coming up from a mile down?
And the oil companies are constructing a giant finger,
Made from a combination of 'Oops! ' and 'Huh? '
To curtail ('wink') a seepage that may be seen...
Hanging around for a while.
Oh...
And that giant finger sent down to plug up the gush?
Is sure to be a hit with the kids this coming Christmas.
Is there any sense of decency? ANYWHERE?
When squirrels are seen refusing free nuts being offered...
What can be said about the level of respect given to human beings?
It has dipped!
Not fluctuating like the stock market.
But on a dip that seems permanent.
Yes!
Double up on shock.
And gather as much as possible,
To keep stocked...
When a wishing for it,
Can no longer be resisted.
And it is unmistakably right there when needed.
Ridiculous or not...
At least you can say you've got it!

Jeans On
When I wake up in the mornin light
I pull on my jeans and I feel all right
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
Its the weekend, and I know that youre free
So pull on your jeans and come on out with me
Oh cause I need to have you near me,
I need to feel you close to me
I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me
You and me, well go motorbike ridin in the sun
And the wind and the rain
I got money in my pocket, I got a tiger in my tank
And Im king of the road again
Ill meet ya in the usual place
You dont need a thing except your pretty face, alright
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
Aw, here we go mama
You and me, well go motorbike ridin in the sun
And the wind and the rain
I got money in my pocket, I got a tiger in my tank
And Im king of the road again
When I wake up in the mornin light
I pull on my jeans and I feel all right
Hey I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on

Did I Really See That?
A woman on our bed wearing my gown with ma woman
Sleeping on my side of the bed?
Am I replaced?
So quick?
I thought we were going to talk
About it
Try to work it out
I cancelled all my plans
In a manner to surprise you
I didn't like the way things went
The other day
And now I get home
To find this?
A woman on our bed
Wearing my gown with ma woman on ma side of da bed
Am I replaced?
Just like that?
I thought what we had meant
Something to you
I thought we had a connection
I thought fate had brought us
Together
I thought our future
Was written somewhere
In heaven
Most of all I thought the feeling
Was mutual
For 5years I was relaxed
Thinking I'm in the right place
Where my soul belongs
Wasn't looking
Wasn't searching
Was content
And now I find
A woman on our bed wearing my gown with ma woman
On my side of the bed
Am I replaced?
Already!
I had always been loyal
You cheated more than I could remember
And I kept forgiving n forgetting
I kept loving you like you
Never wronged me
I Kept on trusting you
but to you all that was just a blur
I bet you thought I was fool
I bet you thought I'd never leave you
I bet you thought you were ma life
That's why you cheated
That's why you lied
That's why now I find
A woman on our bed wearing my gown with ma woman
On my side of the bed
Am I replaced?
I know you are
I have ran out of tears
I cried for so long*difedile*
I have ran out of Forgiveness
I forgiven you more than the
Bibble Says I should
I have ran out of space for you
The place I used to keep you is shuttered
And I have ran out of love for you
What I thought was mine
Is now ours
What I thought I owned
It turned out
We own
What I thought was true to me
It was all a lie
A woman on our bed
Wearing my gown
With my woman
On my side of the bed
She can stay
I'll leave..

My true story about myself
People stop ordering me around. I am only one person, yet you treat me like I am twelve people. I can only do one thing at a time. I am sorry I am really slow. I am only a child, I'm still trying to be kid while I have a chance. But, you see you people give me the responsibility of an adult. I am tired of ruining my plans, to do adult things. I don't want a perfect childhood but I would like a nice one where I would be able to do teenager things. I want to be a normal child, even if I am not. You people are driving me crazy with all these do this, do that. I'm sorry, but if this a normal childhood, I rather be dead. I feel like that when I try to talk nobody could hear me. I could scream and nody would hear me. I am invisable. Besides who would want to see a girl who has no mother, a father she never sees, who is a nobody, who can't make a difference, who is hideous, who can't do anything right, who is ashamed for everything she is? Sometimes I think about killing myself, actually I do it a lot. It's just I am so tired of being used. I am used one way or the other. I always wonder what would happen if I die. Would anybody care? Would anybody even notice? NO! Yes I know I made mistakes. but isn't the point of life, is make mistakes and learn from them. I know I made a lot, but I would never take any of them back. I don't care anymore about what other people say. I am just so tired of this. I can't live like this much longer. There has to be a change, and quick. To tell you the truth, I even thought about running away. I don't know where I would go. I do know is that I would never return. I'm sick of having responsibility of an adult, and everybody tells me to be a kid. HOW? When I'm constantly cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cooking, school, school, homework, cleaning, cooking? Can I please have a break once in a while. I am begging you. What did I do to deserve this? I think I have a right to know.

Angel
girl it's been so long
since i held you in my arms
so i picked up pen and paper
and decided to write you a song
things just ain't the same
since you took your love away
all i have is dark and lonely days
cause the sun don't shine my way
wish that i could find the words to say
to show you love is real
the words just can't express the way i feel
[chorus]
you're my angel
my sun up in the sky
we've been through hell and back together
why you wanna leave me now
only you can ease the pain i feel
and wipe my tears away
won't you fly back home and make me whole again
baby not a day goes bye
that i don't want to cry
when i think of what we had
how you walked out of my life
all i had was yours to take
till my heart you chose to break
still wish that i could make love to you
just one more time for old times sake
if only i could find the words to say
to show you love is real
the words just can't express the way i feel
[chorus]
you're my angel
my sun up in the sky
we've been through hell and back together
why you wanna leave me now
only you can ease the pain i feel
and wipe my tears away
won't you fly back home and make me feel whole again
come back home
come back home
cause without you here beside me
my house is not a home
only you can ease the pain i feel
and wipe my tears away
won't you fly back home and make me whole again
you're my angel
my sun up in the sky
we've been through hell and back together
why you wanna leave me now
only you can ease the pain i feel
and wipe my tears away
won't you fly back home and make me whole again
you're my angel
my sun up in the sky
we've been through hell and back together
why you wanna leave me now
only you can ease the pain i feel
and wipe my tears away
you've been gone too long so won't you come back home

But in this Congress, accountability is just a catch phrase, usually directed elsewhere. Demands to personal responsibility or corporate accountability abound, but rarely congressional accountability or fiscal responsibility.
