The Real Tragedy Today That Exists

The real tragedy today that exists,
Are those unresisting...
With mindsets rapidly diminished.

Fixed and glued unchanging,
On a fast paced landscape.
In a stationary place...
Slowly eroding,
And being erased.

There are those who stay unfazed.
Sitting stubbornly in positions...
And restricting themselves as they age!

Becoming the ones undaunted.
With demands to have things done.
As it had been in those 'olden days'...
When even the ones who once lived back then,
Will never again see the light of Sun!

And turning into dust,
In air that comes to sweep dust up.
To blow it away from those who pray...
For chances to keep yesterdays reminisced.

Blow

I want to take away your pain and blow it away into the wind.

I want to blow off the dust covering you and make you new again.

For we all get dust on ourselves once in a while, just like a floor gets dirty,

But this time I will sweep up your dust.

That way you will be new in your eyes even though in my eyes you have always been.

Yesterdays

Yesterdays
Yesterdays
Days I knew as happy sweet
Sequestered days
Olden days
Golden days
Days of mad romance and love
Then gay youth was mine
And truth was mine
Joyous free and flaming life
Forsooth was mine
Sad am i
Glad am i
For today Im dreaming of
Of yesterdays
Then gay youth was mine
The truth was mine
Sad am i
Glad am i
For today Im dreaming of
Of yesterdays

Bang The Drum Slowly

(Emmylou Harris/Guy Clark)
I meant to ask you how to fix that car
I always meant to ask you about the war
And what you saw across a bridge too far
Did it leave a scar
Or how you navigated wings of fire and steel
Up where heaven had no more secrets to conceal
And still you found the ground beneath your wheels
How did it feel
Bang the drum slowly play the pipe lowly
To dust be returning from dust we begin
Bang the drum slowly I'll speak of things holy
Above and below me world without end
I meant to ask you how when everything seemed lost
And your fate was in a game of dice they tossed
There was still that line that you would never cross
At any cost
I meant to ask you how you lived what you believed
With nothing but your heart up your sleeve
And if you ever really were deceived
By the likes of me
Bang the drum slowly play the pipe lowly
To dust be returning from dust we begin
Bang the drum slowly I'll speak of things holy
Above and below me world without end
Gone now is the day and gone the sun
There is peace tonight all over Arlington
But the songs of my life will still be sung
By the light of the moon you hung
I meant to ask you how to plow that field
I meant to bring you water from the well
And be the one beside you when you fell
Could you tell
Bang the drum slowly play the pipe lowly
To dust be returning from dust we begin
Bang the drum slowly I'll speak of things holy
Above and below me world without end

Sweep From The Mind

I merrily sing along the days and nights,
As my highness demands for all its worth;
Glory has arrived forming beauty for me,
Along the path that I command.
Thoughts swept by the wind also are remembered,
Since the breeze of heaven is witnessed.
My party of followers sings along time,
For time shall sweep the dust from your feet,
Singing is the best of the times,
Singing clarifies the mind so much,
Alacrity of thinking shall be obeyed,
For time shall sweep the dust from your feet.

Today Is The Only Day

Cry not on flowers wilted,
Count not on buds that canker might blight,
But marvel over beauty blossomed!

Extinct are our Yesterdays,
Illusory are our Tomorrows,
Today is all that exists,
What there is and all there is.
Today is our way up hill
The arena for action decreed
The stage set for the show
The tool and trade for life.

Today well lived leaves -
Every Yesterday
A reminiscence - sweet to relish!
Every Tomorrow
A vision glorious to chase!

Drool not, hence, over yester years
Rant not on chances missed
Greet Today, right in front!
Render it your respiration and perspiration
Turning Yesterday - a commemoration
Tomorrow - a stimulation
And life - a celebration!

Blow Away

One of the band told me last night
That music is all that he's got in his life.
So where does it go?
Surely not with his soul.
Will all of his licks and his r'n'b
Blow away?
Blow away
Blow away
Our engineer had a different idea
From people who nearly died but survived,
Feeling no fear of leaving their bodies here,
And went to a room that was soon full of visitors.
Hello minnie, moony, vicious, vicious, buddy holly, sandy denny.
Please don't thump me,
Don't bump me,
Don't dump me back there.
Please don't thump me,
Don't bump me,
I want to stay here.
Put out the light, then, put out the light.
Vibes in the sky invite you to dine.**
Dust to dust,
Blow to blow.
Bolan and moony are heading the show tonight.
Hello minnie, moony, ("bill " [?]), vicious, vicious,
Buddy holly, sandy denny.
Please don't thump me,
Don't bump me,
Don't dump me back there.
Please don't thump me,
Don't bump me,
I want to stay here.

Get Rid Of The Rust

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And changing attitude.

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And pursuing it through.

Get all that dust out of the corners,
With a cleaning of that...
Long overdue.
And you know it's true too.

Then decide to get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And sweep away those yesterdays,
To leave them staying there forever.

You ought to get up in the morning,
With it dawning that a new you is due.
And changing attitude.

Get all that dust out of the corners,
With a cleaning of that...
Long overdue.
And you know it's true too.

Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Then decide...
To get rid of the rust,
With a doing to do.
And,
Sweep away those yesterdays to leave them there forever.
Like the doing of bad weather.

From Dust To Dust

A recycling comes,
To be lived as given to everyone.
From dust to dust.
In God we trust.

A recycling comes,
To be lived as given to everyone.
From dust to dust.
In God we trust.

To leech with a feeding.
And to feed from that which has been leeched.

A recycling comes,
To be lived as given to everyone.
From dust to dust.
In God we trust.
And to feed from that which has been leeched.
Until that leeching fed is done.

By you...
And me!
And...
Everyone.

Leechers!
Creatures!
And thieves under the Sun.
We be sighted to be unseen,
To hush when that moment comes.

Packing Blankets

Today is a lovely day
Start up the car with the sun
Packing blankets and dirty sheets
A roomful of dust and a broom to sweep up
All the troubles you and I have seen
Cross when the drawbridge light is green
Dont look back to that messed-up scene
Packing blankets and dirty sheets
A roomful of dust and a broom to sweep up
All the troubles you and I have seen
And all our troubles will be gone
Blowing out over the bridge
Floating up into the sky
Making the storm clouds cry
Put out that smoke and breath some air
Get a new name and cut your hair

You Are Unto Dust

You are made from the dust of the earth,
And the Wailing-Wall will be there for you;
For you are unto dust and you shall return unto dust,
And this is just the journey of the spirit.

To the realm of the unknown and to the things we do for love,
And until death put us apart on this side of the planet;
For the flesh goes back to where it belongs to!
Yes, back to the earth.

Death is part of us and we need to learn from others,
For we have to be prepared as well;
For he flesh goes back to where it belongs to;
And out of the dust we were made.

The dust became flesh and today we are human beings,
And from the knowledge of the things to come;
But naked we came and naked we shall return.

Shed no tears on this love,
For death comes for all of us on this earth;
And we need to learn from the facts around us as well,
For it is better to be very righteous than to be buried with evil deeds.

Life is a long road full of sand and,
All that is acquired on this earth is vanity!
Yes, vanity upon vanity! !
For you and i are unto dust and,
Unto dust we shall return at the end of of all things.

Yesterdays Child

Roy orbison/bill dees
I see the face of yesterdays child,
Living in a state of in between.
Is there a place for yesterdays child,
Searching for an unforgotten dream?
Looking for rainbows at midnight,
Hoping tomorrow will come.
Will time erase for yesterdays child?
What will the child become?
I hear the voice of yesterdays child
Echoing my name, my name, my name.
Is there a choice for yesterdays child,
Seeking shelter from the falling rain?
Chasing a butterfly lover,
Making a run for the sun.
Who will rejoice for yesterdays child?
What is the game to be won?
Will you draw?
Will you fold?
Will you start playing wild?
What is the future for yesterdays child?
Will you turn to dust,
Or go to the sea, racing with destiny?
Oh,look at me,
Born to be yesterdays child.

Decay to Rust, Dust And Fade

I am not here to compete with dead poets.
Or those with pseudo ambitions,
To foster claims this is what they do.

My depictions are alive,
To represent times lived today.
I wear no mask to imitate,
Those from a past who have passed away.

This is two thousand and twelve!
Not the seventeen hundreds.
Although there are many,
Wishing these times to return.

The landscape today,
Has more censors and critics...
Desiring the past for them will stay.
But even today will decay to rust, dust and fade.

Stubbornly Affixed

An exhausted horse,
Began to show signs of weakness...
Years ago.
And those who rode it,
Ignored the signs.
They chose to ride it hard...
And its maintenance declined.

The horse slowed and faltered.
Keeled over and died.
Some got off and announced its death.
While others demanded...
A desire to continue their ride.

Many chose to debate the fate of the horse.
As others observed a replacement due.
Some refused to open their eyes...
And denied an immediate and effective rescue.
As a few stood by...
And blocked all attempts.

Even after the horse was buried...
Heated arguments still exist.
With some lamenting...
The return of leadership,
Decades long gone.
And many...
Who have passed these scenes viewed today...
Walk away amazed,
As to how some can stay fixed...
In their ignorant ways.

And stand they do...
Praising the dirt covered roads now paved.
With wishes they could live lives...
Back when their ancestors had plantations!
Back in 'the day'
In times when they all seem to thrive.
Surrounded by the dancing and the smiling done,
By happy and entertaining slaves!
With none refusing to obey.

And stubbornly affixed they are in their minds.
Disregarding the fact...
The year is two thousand and nine!
With a One World Order rule descending,
Upon them.
And a dead horse collecting dust...
With no one ever again to climb.
To show how much an attention given...
Will allow any of them again to shine!

Pathetic are these mindsets.

Get Him Back

One man, he'd disappoint me
He'd give me the gouge and he take my glee
Now every other man I see
Remind me of the
One man who disappointed me
Wait 'til I get him back
He won't have a back to scratch
Yeah, keep turning that chin
And you will see my face
As I figure how to kill what I cannot catch
So I say "and on I go"
To another one who disappoint me so, oh oh
The next one up
A contemptible snob
He lived to put things in their place
He did a commendable job
He put himself so low
He can hardly even look me in the face
Wait 'til I get him back
He won't have a back to scratch
Yeah, keep turning that chin
And you will see my face
As I figure how to kill what I cannot catch
Oh, he made my blood just burn
I flipped so far
I thought that I would not return
But the last one I had
Who was getting my hopes up
I might have been a little fast to dismiss
I think he let me down when he didn't disappoint me
He didn't always guess right but he usually got my gist
So wait til I get him back
I'm gonna bring him home
And I'll watch him unpack
He keep turning that chin
And you will see my face
Is fixed on the one
I'm gonna get back
I'm gonna get him back
I am
I'm gonna get him back
I really am

From Another Era

Old and out of touch.
Nothing else needs to be said...
To address their shallowness,
Collecting dust with much distrust!

With a presentation that has not changed.
And attitudes from another era...
Where a greatness sought,
Is needed and claimed.

To say they are deranged would be repetitive.
They have little to show.
And less than that to give.
Their mindsets have been poisoned!
And gone is the light from lives they once lived!

An Evolution That Has Erased The Yesterdays

Too much ugliness exists.
And too much of it is persisted.

Clear choices today are being readily defined.
Making up one's mind as to which road to take,
Is for many not a decision to contemplate.
It may be difficult for some to switch up...
From steps taken to reverse what has been done.
But it can be done...
If a wish for happiness is to come!

Too much ugliness exists.
And too much of it is persisted.

There are those confused,
By the suddenness of change.
But it's not as if it had been hidden.
Not for those who have witnessed,
A quality of life that is not the same.

Closed eyes are different from those that are blind.
Some choose not to see what is.
Others who can not see period...
Have survived with sharpened minds.
And are quick to sense...
The atmosphere has been stimulated,
By the addition of increased decadence.

Too much ugliness exists.
And too much of it is persisted.

A higher consciousness has arrived,
And it struggles with accepted commonness.
But this slide that delights some,
Comes to an end to unravel comforts under the Sun.
To achieve a peace slowly becoming noticed.
And those overdosed with delusions that limit...
Will find themselves anguished,
By an evolution that has erased the yesterdays.
Leaving them revolving in memories dissolving.
And not a sign ahead that shows,
Those times will be revisited.

Too much ugliness exists.
And too much of it is persisted with...
But,
Not for long!
Drastic changes have come to move us on!
With or without the necessity for debate.
Or an appreciative applause in waiting.

Many are already too stunned with disbelief...
That the onslaught of love has come,
To achieve the 'real' version of peace.

Too much ugliness exists.
And too much of it is persisted with...
But,
Not for long!
