The Real Reason One Can Not Heal
Refusing to take a medicine,
That has been prescribed as advised...
By a doctor one does not like,
Because of the directness of the method used...
Is someone believing a home remedy is better to take.
However...
A listening to those in and out of one's home,
With the latest gossip to spread...
May be the real reason one can not heal.

Of A Lizard
My right-eye is swollen like a wake-up call,
How can i see without some medication?
My mind is activated and, who can take care of this eye?
I need the local medicine prescribed by my mother,
Because i have no money to visit the Doctor.
Sad as a Ghanaian, i am noted with my words;
With the words of my mother like the words of Africa!
No work and no money,
With no doctors to visit on this issue;
But sharp as a knife,
My mind speaks as you read on.
'Take the white from the faeces of a lizard and,
Mix it with water to apply it to your swollen eye';
This was the very local African Medicine for my eye.
Here in Africa,
We have more to do for our survival!
And here at home,
I do have more to learn as well.
Applying this method to my eye solved it all,
So the Doctors should learn from it;
Maybe, they need the chemical make up of these faeces.

BAD MEDICINE
Bon Jovi
Your love is like bad medicine
Bad medicine is what I need
Woah, shake it up just like bad medicine
There aint no doctor that can cure my disease
Bad medicine
I aint got a fever got a permanent disease
And it'll take more than a doctor to prescribe a remedy
And I got lots of money but it isn't what I need
Gonna take more than a shot to get this poison outta me
And I got all the symptoms, count 'em 1 2 3
First you need (Thats what you get for falling in love)
Then you bleed (You get a little and its never enough)
On your knees (Thats what you get for falling in love)
And now this boys addicted cause your kiss is the drug
Your love is like bad medicine
Bad medicine is what I need
Shake it up just like bad medicine
There aint no doctor that can cure my disease
Bad, bad medicine
I don't need no needle to be giving me a thrill
And I don't need no anesthesia or a nurse to bring a pill
I got a dirty down addiction that doesn't leave a track
I got a jolt for your affection like a monkey on my back
There aint no paramedic gonna save this heart attack
When you need (Thats what you get for falling in love)
Then you bleed (You get a little and its never enough)
On your knees (Thats what you get for falling in love)
Now this boys addcited cause your kiss is the drug
Your love is like bad medicine
Bad medicine is what I need
Shake it up just like bad medicine

I'm the doctor, I can mend your broken heart
I'm the healer, I could take you right back to the start
So if you wanna take the chance well you better be sure

I Just Got Some
(maborn)
[b side of columbia db 7892, 1966]
Well, I know yall look as if you need some
But I just got some
I surely got some
The doctor prescribed some
I surely need some
Have to, have to have some, baby
Oh, I just went out and got some
My pockets aint jinglin and Im gettin fat
You know you cant hide it, I know where its at
My pockets are as heavy as a chunk of lead
I just got a taste of her meat and veg
I had to have some
Sure did need some
Doctor prescribed some
Had to, had to, had to have some baby
Yall know I look as if I need some
Oh, I just went out and got some, oh
Yeah
You would not help me when you really could
But right now baby, you cant do me no good
Cause I just got some
Had to, had to, have some
Doctor prescribed some
Had to, had to, had to have some baby
Yall know I look as if I need some
Oh, I just went out and got some, oh
Yeah
You would not help me when you really could
But right now baby, you cant do me no good
Cause I just got some
Had to, had to, have some
Doctor prescribed some
You all know I look as if I need some
I just got some
Had to had to have some, baby, oh
I just got some
Everybody knows that I need some
The doctor even prescribed me some
Oh, yeah

Home even when i am away from home.
You can take me out of home
But you can't take out home in me
Distance? Keep me away from home
And one day home will keep you away from you
Mountain? You might close the space
And the space will never close the home vehemence in me
Liar? you might lie about my home
But you can't lie about meaning of home
Gossip monger? you might gossip about my home
But you can't gossip about home fever in me
Killer? Kill miles between
When you reach my flesh
Don't flash out the meaning of home in me
You can turn diagrams into diamonds
You can turn zeros into heroes
You can turn gold into old
You can turn sorrow into happiness
Still you can't change the meaning of home in me
You can travel all over the world
But no better place than home
You can reconcile irreconcilable
You can replace irreplaceable
You can destruct indestructible
You can fringe infringeable
But still no better place than you home
Regardless of what ever hardship of life
Regardless of what ever happiness
Regardless of state of mind
Regardless of what ever health status
Home is the best
Home is not where I lay my head
Its where my mind
Home is not where I hailed
It's where my spirit is
No better place than home
Home is home

He will save Humanity,
Beauty is not in Money,
He will reveal the Essence of Truth,
The Spirit of Truth in Christ,
My story that will percolate,
God is a remedy,
He surely will heal the World,
God is a Remedy,
Prophecy is all real,
God is a Master than anything,
God is a remedy,
This is the Essence,
That God is real,
God is real to save the Burden,
Work hard Humanity to wash the filth,
This is not Religion,
This is life,
I love the Truth that ca n make the Prophets Purity.

Medicine Man
(coverdale)
You never leave her alone,
I can see you never learn
When youre playing with fire,
You get your fingers burned
There aint no use in crying,
Baby dont delay,
You can call your doctor,
Ill be there right away
Im the medicine man,
Your doctor of love
Medicine man,
Doctor of love
When theres a feeling inside,
That just cant be denied,
I will be your medicine man
Now dont you ever worry,
If you feel the fever rise,
Youll never fool nobody,
When theres fire in your eyes
There aint no use denying,
When you need it deep inside
Youve got your witch doctor
To keep you satisfied
Im the medicine man,
Your doctor of love
Medicine man,
Doctor of love
When theres a feeling inside,
That just cant be denied,
I will be your medicine man.
You never leave her alone,
I can see you never learn
When youre playing with fire,
You get your fingers burned
There aint no use in crying,
Baby dont delay,
You can call your doctor,
Ill be there right away
Im the medicine man,
Your doctor of love
Medicine man,
Doctor of love
When theres a feeling inside,
That just cant be denied,
I will be your medicine man
Your doctor of love
Im medicine man,
Doctor of love...

Treatise
home,
a tribal remedy
beat
stone
whistle
beat
beat
stone
whistle
beat
home,
ancient bodyguard
rampart
against the pain
of repetitive thoughts
home,
a vast accompanying stranger
old friend, sure-footed
home,
atop the occasional rooftop
triumphant, adolescent
wonder
home,
a forest peering into
a glassy lake
somewhere
listening to
quiet star music
home,
a mild foot on
pine needles
cascading
against skin
in millions
of pointed
affirmations
home,
a word
like 'sky'
or 'tranquility'
or 'touch'
home,
ever-expanding
concentric rings
of all that
has now
become
familiar

Lady & The Doctor
The lady keeps the doctor in a place inside her pocket
The circle made her circle like a wheel
The doctor gives a strange love, but the lady she dont knock it
Shes glad to get a piece of anything
Because the lady needs the medicine ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Doctor needs the lady to see
The doctor keeps the lady in a page in a book
On the history of communicable diseases
The ladys been to school, she lets the doctor play it cool.
He writes the script, she follows his lead.
cause the doctor writes love story so fine
The ladys learned to read between the lines
Sometime
The doctor, he takes housecalls where he visits the animals
In their stalls, shoots them full of juice and then goes home.
The lady hits the supermarket where she rides the aisles in a shopping cart
till she feels shes played enough of the part to set by ooh,
The lady feels its enough to just be good.
But the doctor has his need to be understood.
The doctor feels hes so abused and the lady feels shes so unused
And demands the doctor tends her daily parts.
Ooh, but the doctor just cant do it because so long ago the lady
Blew it, theyre too old now to make another start.
The lady feels the doctors made of stone.
The doctor heart, it just aint fond of ? home?

Healing
How do I take my medicine?
I take it a little at a time.
And every little dose I take
is connected to my rhyme.
And what is the medicine I swallow?
Pride, ego and vanity.
I figure if I can heal these things
I can observe the real me.
And who is this person that I am?
A character in a play.
For this world is a stage with actors
that need medicine every day.

Family
Where have you come from?
Where are you going?
Tell me whats brought you here now.
And is your heart singing?
Then share what your bringing;
We all are a part of the show.
cause we are all going home,
cause we are a family,
And we are all going home.
Are you listening?
We are all going home,
So come join the family,
cause we are all going home.
But is your heart quiet?
Is something not right?
Can you tell me whats blocking your way?
Well, just ask the father;
He knows every problem.
Hell carry that burden away.
cause we are all going home,
cause we are a family,
And we are all going home.
Are you listening?
We are all going home,
So come join the family,
cause we are a family,
And we are all going home.
Yes, we are all going home.

Nobody Home
I can tell by the way
There aint no lights in the windows
And by the way your curtains hang
Yeah, I know which way the wind blows
I said no, I said no, I said no, nobody home
Nobody home, nobody home
You went away, what a heavy load
You must have took it with you
Down and out, to no thanks to boat
But no one can get ya
I said no, I said no, I said no, aint nobody home
Nobody home, nobody home
I said nobody, nobody home
From the way that you act
I guess you havent been there
By the look in your eyes
Theres nobody been there
I said no, I said no, I said no, nobody home
Nobody home, nobody home
I said nobody, nobody, nobody home
Nobody home, nobody home
I said no, I said no, I said no no no, nobody home

Nirvana- Silver
Mom and dad went to a show
They dropped me off at Grandpa Joe's
I kicked and screamed, said please don't go
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Had to eat my dinner there
Mashed potatoes and stuff like that
I couldn't chew my meats too good
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
She said, well, don't you start your crying
Go outside and ride your bike
That's what I did, I killed my toe
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
After dinner, I had ice cream
I fell asleep and watched TV
I woke up in my mother's arms
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home
Grandma take me home

Devils Radio
Devils radio
Gossip, gossip
Gossip, gossip
I heard it in the night
Words that thoughtless speak
Like vultures swooping down below
On the devils radio
I hear it through the day
Airwaves gettin filled
With gossip broadcast to and fro
On the devils radio
Oh yeah, gossip
Gossip, oh yeah
Hes in the clubs and bars
And never turns it down
Talking about what he dont know
On the devils radio
Hes in your tv set
Wont give it a rest
That soul betraying so and so
The devils radio
Gossip, gossip
Gossip, gossip
(oh yeah) gossip, (gossip) oh yeah
(gossip) oh yeah, (oh yeah) gossip
Its white and black like industrial waste
Pollution of the highest degree
You wonder why I dont hang out much
I wonder how you cant see
Hes in the films and songs
And on all your magazines
Its everywhere that you may go
The devils radio
Oh yeah, gossip
Gossip, oh yeah
Runs thick and fast, no one really sees
Quite what bad it can do
As it shapes you into something cold
Like an eskimo igloo
Its all across our lives
Like a weed its spread
till nothing else has space to grow
The devils radio
Can creep up in the dark
Make us hide behind shades
And buzzing like a dynamo
The devils radio
(gossip) oh yeah, (gossip) oh yeah
(gossip) gossip, (gossip) gossip
Oh yeah, gossip I heard you on satans wireless
Gossip, oh yeah you know the devils radio, child

Just A Little Bit Of You
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
I told my mama how I feel about your power
Your love can heal, cant no doctors remedy
Ever do what you do for me
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Eeny weeny teeny bit of your love
Baby its all I need, its all I need
Since the day Ive been loving you
I cant catch a cold, I cant catch the flu
The sweet loving youve been giving me
Has become my daily need
Just a little o your love, every day
Its all I need, thats all I need
Just a little bit baby
Thats all I need, thats all I need
So dont send no doctor to my door
cause doctor john been here before
Dont you send him, just come yourself
Bring your loving and nothing else
Ooh just a, just a,
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away

Coming Home
Ive not been home
For so many years
And I did not regret being gone
Please tell me when did we talk
And when did we show
That we do care for something called love
Oh no, dont you despair now
Im as grown up as can be
Cant you forget everything
And this time listen to me
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - why dont you help me
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - why dont you love me
Its time to remember
What weve done together
I guess it is more than we know
And we should be open
And turn back the wheels
As far as we can go
I know I am your son
And everything else dont seem real
I want you back like never before
I cant take another goodbye
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - please, cant you be there
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - please, dont you leave me
Whats dones done - Im your son
Ive been hurt by your lies
I want peace after all
Thats why I want you to let me come home
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - lets fight together
Im coming home - home
Im coming home - Ive so much to tell you
Home - Im coming home
Im coming home - time heals the scars of the past
Im coming home
Im coming home - to be by your side
Im coming home - Im coming home
Im coming home - Ive so much to tell you
Im coming home - Im coming home,............

On The Road Home
You are on the road Home
Because this is not your Real Home
Where you are now is only a shadow of your Real Home
Everthing is perfect in your Real Home
In your Real Home, there is no need to sleep or eat
It is a place where all your pets, family and friends
you will meet
So do your best you can here because you will be there soon
You will be there in not too many a moon
