Survival
Sunshine is creeping in
And somewhere in a field a life begins
An egg too proud to rape
The beginning of a shape of things to come
That starts the run
Life has begu
Fly fast the gun
The mother flew too late
And life within the egg was left to fate
Not really knowing how
The world outside would take it when it came
And lifes the same
For things we aim
Are we to blame?

We don’t know what tomorrow may bring

I Don't Sit With Expectations
Nothing that I have given to give,
Do I regard in the giving...
As something I still own.
If I have it to give,
Why should I announce it to be known?
When I give that's it.
I don't sit with expectations,
Believing I'm deserving of a return favor or gift.
I'm not one to sit premeditating what it is I give.
Or a value placed on that which is received to take.
It would be nice if I am respected.
But I admit there is a bit of selfishness connected.
I know that God will bless me more...
If I give just to give and not think what it is for!
I don't need my back patted to have my ego explored.
And My Father doesn't tease when He pleases me.
I receive to do a giving and in that doing is my need!

When we say Thanksgiving
We say we are giving thanks
But whom do we thank for giving
Do we thank the turkey who gave his life
Do we thank the plants that freely give us bounty
Do we thank those people who taught us how to live
Do we thank those people who showed us how to give
Do we thank God for our insatiable greed
For our murderous ways to meet imagined need
For the stolen land on which we stand

Obvious Gift
gifts lead every hearts to go nearer to what
the soul reunited in your emotion, a value that
penny can't buy something that the spirited soul
makes; what the world made it wonderful, diluted
to lay everything, just to risen the ageless motion of
self giving
everything is move and cease to believe, what
makes it to begin as the clouds, since in time of
memorial floats in the sky, where and where it goes,
as the rain drops and wet flowering seeds to grow
and leads fiddler of insect to feed and learn to live,
with no one guide the beginning of survival
obvious gift never ends it always flows, like
stream in the highest mountains that always look a
distance way to settle the fresh hyacinth of cool water,
for a gift of rejoicing takes an everlasting memory
to remember
life as gift, always take a foundation to craft, beautiful
and stronger pillar making it more acceptable to live,
of what every soul ponder, shading the past into the future
of today; as the day comes to an end, remembering is a
heart to believe that all is just nothing but a special gift

I see today
Today is such a beautiful day
Well actually it’s hot and humid
But hey it here right now for me to enjoy or crib
Don’t know what tomorrow will bring or will it be here or not

So all my hopes, aspirations, dreams, fight’s, grudges,

God’s Valentine Gift
God’s Valentine gift of love to us
Was not a bunch of flowers;
It wasn’t candy, or a book
To while away the hours.
His gift was to become a man,

Yesterdays...yesterday, oh how I yearn for
yesterday. Today, is the tomorrow we thought
about yesterday.
Today, hold close to you,
those who you love, for in the cover of darkness,
