Your need to feel you must compete with me,
s the core to your failures.
And the basis for your grief.
To deceive does not with benefit receive.
Everything done you do...
And regardless with who,
You want to see yourself portrayed as the winner.
Of what?
And...
Wishing defeat of those who support and feed you,
Will eventually open your eyes.
Since mine have been wide open,
With hopes one day you will see yourself...
For the fool you have been to 'think' there is something,
You will win to have others praise your efforts.
There is not a back left,
You can climb to rise high on it!

Can remain unaffected.

When failures come, oh, do not fret;
For failures, you must not regret;
Through failures, one can turn perfect,
As failure isn’t a great defect!
Each failure gives us chance again;
Through failures, we have much to gain;
So, failures are a boon, not bane;
Yes, failures make a man much sane!
All cannot win in life always;
Set-backs do come to us some days;
With failures, one makes strong a base;
Our failures bestow bolder face!
With failures come, added wisdom;
’Tis hard to hold a large kingdom;
Failures in life are much welcome,
As successes will always come.

Still, some don't see.
Stares unfocused
Fixated, not free.
What is needed
to make them blink?

A rude awakening

that gives them a chance
to become aware

Words of an open book
Its been long enough
over the years my spine has grown tough
pages fading wishing they would go away
wishing i would be closed for just a day
i am tired of being so open with my feelings for all
anyone able to read me...or cause me to fall
its ridiculous can't you see?
being this open is killing me
i no longer want to be seen by every passer-by
i don't want everyone to read my
life after just one glance
can I read nothing more?
why am i so open?
but now everyone knows
everyone should not know everything about me i protest!
but its no use

On The Mountain Slope
On that very high mountain slope grass did cling
to our bare feet, some branches scraped us,
where we overlooked fishermen at sea,
where their boat suddenly rose up and down.
Below big waves washed against the hill,
I did not trust the cliff, the mountain side
and right there you firmly grasped my hand,
when the heaven became bluer than your eyes.
Did our open eyes deceive us right there?
or did somebody walk on the water,
as if the sea is an open grass field,
to the boat that was rocking up and down,
before Him the whole sea was wide open;
