The Best Gift?

The best gift?
Knowing.
An arrival of acknowledgement comes.
Anxieties are eased.
Awareness of possibilities occur.
There is more communication.
Reality is not combated.
In fact...
It can now sit comfortably,
With comprehension.
But there are those determined,
A fantasized existence will prevail.
Although they fail in their endeavors...
It is remarkable the attempts they make,
To hide their incompetence...
Behind a stated faith created and quite fake!
The best gift?
Knowing.
An arrival of acknowledgement comes.
And a piercing clarity stuns those,
Seen disguising their personas in shadows!

The One Thing About Knowing

The one thing about knowing,
Is its ability not to be undone.
Once something is known,
An acknowledgement of it...
To others become easily shown.

And that knowledge shown,
May come to show others despising it.
Depending on who sees what one has,
As a lasting benefit.
Since those who are not afraid of knowledge,
Feel freer to leave behind their ignorance.

The one thing about knowing,
Whether or not it is documented...
Is its ability not to be undone.
Once something is known,
An acknowledgement of it...
To others become easily shown.
And few are found to run away,
From its presence or existence.

To the child in the coming

We have been waiting
For almost nine months now

You were born, in fact
The day, when we came to know
You have been sown
And you have been established

Trust you are grown
Full in shape
With strong bones and muscles
And a kind heart

I know your mother's blood
Supplies you all that you need
Make good use of the supply
And build yourself

You know the whole world
Is waiting for your arrival
With lot of love and affection
And with an expectation
That you are going to be different
And special and capable of
Achieving greater and nobler things
Than those which we have achieved so far

Are you a boy or girl
We do not want to know it now
And it makes no difference to us
For what will matter are the
Great thoughts that you are
Going to nurse and your actions
Those realise them

Welcome to this world of wonders
Welcome to this world of love
Welcome to this world of passion
Welcome to this world full of
Opportunities for you to explore
Welcome to this world waiting for you

Your arrival is yet another proof
To the fact that God has faith in human kind
Your arrival is yet another proof
To the fact that Natural systems still prevail
Your arrival is yet another proof
To the fact that Love is the essence of survival
Your arrival will add yet another ray
To the glow of innocence
Your arrival will mark the beginning of
A New Era, new thinking, new hopes
And it will pave way for new
Sweet dreams not only for your parents
But to the entire mankind
Your arrival will make new sparkling marks
In our horizons indicating brighter and
Most prosperous days ahead

Come with an open mind
Come with a heart that is kind
Come with a lot of passion
And fashion a new generation

Glitz, Glimmer and Rhinestone

For some reason,
Glitz, glimmer and rhinestone...
Seem to go together.
Like movies and TV.
And some people overheard in conversation.

If someone is in the need of costuming,
To enhance a 'theme'...
Or dress up to play 'make believe',
One would think people generally leave the 'real' stuff
Behind...
With an acknowledgement in their minds,
There is a time and a place that seperates fact...
From fiction.
And making long lasting impressions,
Requires one to be in touch with a bit of honesty.
At least the kind of honesty that is removed from gloss.

Unless...
Everyone has been in costume.
And those accustomed to being fake...
Take for granted,
That everything connected to life...
As they know life to be,
Has always been one they fantasized.
And lieing to oneself is accepted.
Since going through the motions is all one knows.

Isn't fake the new reality,
Today.
Even when the cameras are 'on'.
To catch what it is,
Being what it is!
Whatever 'What-it-is'...
Is!
And folks are being paid to...
Downgrade!
THAT is 'reality' for far too many people!

Arrival of a child

Arrival of a child marks the
Arrival of a new pleasant path
Arrival of a most colourful horizon
Arrival of a new set of dreams
Arrival of a new ray of hope
Arrival of a new melody in musical notes
Arrival of a refreshing new fragrance
Arrival of a new butterfly in our garden

Arrival of a child marks the
Assertion of nature’s supremacy
Assertion of God’s faith in men
Assertion of sustenance of existence
Assertion of human love
Assertion of a new strengthened bond

Arrival of a child marks the
Beginning of a new philosophy
Beginning of a new set of experiences
Beginning of a renewed valour
Beginning of new ways of learning
Beginning of refined perception
Beginning of the glow of innocence
Beginning of a new set of celebrations

Arrival of child marks the
Formation of new cloud of prosperity
Formation of shower of fresh nutrients
Formation of a lake of vibrant future
Formation of a new pool of gainful talents

Let us welcome the child,
The spark of continuation of human race and
Let the human race celebrate the
Arrival of each child just born

WHERE Is The Common Sense?

If there were degrees awarded,
For those earning diplomas in 'Incompetence'...
Few would question its existence.
It would be an established acknowledgement.

And since incompetence does exist,
WHERE is the common sense?
And at whose expense are those with degrees,
Trying to convince they now have achieved it!

With a Choice to Keep the Value

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice?
When it was you,
Who made not listening to me...
Your choice.

Why is my comprehension mentioned,
To be a priority of your concern?
I'm well aware of those lessons I've learned.
And few of them taught I seek to be repeated.
You brought to me then an acknowledgement.
And I did not hesitate,
To connect that to my common sense.

I received it and I heeded.

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice.
To review conversations,
I attempted to make...
That came to rest on deaf ears?

Perhaps there is a clarity,
Not understood before...
But overnight your eyes opened.
And a clarity that could have been yours...
Has now between your ears appeared?

Go ahead and say,
What you believe today is okay.
However,
If I should abruptly walk away...
Think of it as not being disrespectful.
But a sign of the times,
When one finds peace of mind.
With a choice to keep the value of it protected.

Think of my getting away from you,
In that perspective!
A treasured gift one gets...
To never be neglected.

Our Arrival

our arrival is greeted by the wagging of a tail
and the jumping of a dog long denied
of company.

our arrival is the opening of the windows
the winds come
and once again kiss the furniture
and the room shows once more
the luster of an almost forgotten
fullness

our arrival shall keep the blankets
warm again
it shall unlock the bolts and shall
once more open a closed door

our arrival shall give us the sounds
of faucets
the flushing of an old water
inside the bowl long silenced by the
kind of absence that
sometimes want a revival of newer
perspectives

our arrival is a reconstruction of ourselves
for once again
we shall make the questions open
and then, if you only know, the meaning of things

that grow again, like seeds, these, all of these
shall make an arrival interesting....

Without An Offering Of Opinion To Give

If there is something known and experienced,
By some and not yet by others...
A convincing can not be done.
Only a repeated acknowledgement of it,
To be tolerated comes...
From the mouths of those,
Sharing their recent discoveries.

And those already exposed,
Doing their best to keep their ears opened!
Without uttering a word to overextend,
With what years ago had been mentioned.
Hope to express interest,
On their knowing faces.

To show surprise that a gift recently given,
They had not beforehand seen unwrapped.
But,
Of course they did.
And trust me,
It is very difficult to do that...
Without an offering of opinion to give.

The Gift of Faith

It is said, “Faith is a gift from above,
God-given to those who believe”.
In fact, Faith is to all mankind given,
But for some it remains hidden
In the recesses of the mind
Until they seek it and find
That it is, indeed, God-given.

Faith is often discovered
After some anguish and doubt;
But whichever way is followed
That way is lit by its light.
No one has gone astray
Who sought to find a way
To uncover a gift so great.

But how does one make a start,
And seek a gift hidden from sight,
When there are no signs to mark
A way where all around is dark?

Here is a useful suggestion:
Take the highway of persuasion,
Never the by-way of refutation,
Don’t deride the Faith of another,
Nor dismiss Faith altogether,

Never cease from seeking,
Or ever despair of finding
The goal of your search,
The gift within your reach.

Make Me Believe

Throw away my dreams
This fight for my life isnt getting behind me
And Ive been told to scream
Where no one can hear me, it doesnt mean nothing
So make me believe
Just take me away from this hell Ive created
And Im afraid
Im breaking my own vows knowing Ill go down in flames
I know this cant be right
Theres got to be something more that I can live for
And I can only hide
Inside of this sickness for so long again
So make me believe
Just take me away from this hell Ive created
And Im afraid
Im breaking my own vows knowing Ill go down
Make me believe
Just take me away from temptation thats calling me
And Im afraid
Im breaking my own vows knowing Ill go down in flames
Running in circles
Confusion is calling my name
Hiding inside of this poisoning madness again
Im tired, Im broken
Im walking along with the dead
Will I ever feel like I once did?
So make me...
Make me believe
Just take me away from this hell Ive created
And Im afraid
Im breaking my own vows knowing Ill go down
Make me believe
Make me believe
Make me believe
Im breaking my own vows, knowing Ill go down in flames

A Falling Out Of Love Comes

A falling out of love,
Comes.
A falling out of love,
Stuns.
A falling out of love's begun.
And,
Plans are gone for more reruns.

A loveless taste begins to bait...
A contemplated argument,
Too tempting not to initiate.

And those words heard again...
Dig deeper into the skin.
To break an aching heart.
Ensuring that the sizzle,
Fizzles within.

It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love's begun.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love's begun.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.

Why do you get so mad with me.
Knowing I've been here for you faithfully.
If another one has your heart.
I can't make you stay.
Although you've driven us apart!

And it comes...
A falling out of love, stuns
It comes...
A falling out of love's begun.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love's begun.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.
It comes...
A falling out of love's begun.
It comes...
A falling out of love, stuns.

Obsessed To Possess

Pray many do with a faithfulness claimed.
To then be chased away from it,
The moment we should keep faith treasured.
With an acknowledgement that what we have,
Is the gift of life.
To appreciate and share with a caring.
Inspite of our possessions and our obsessions.

But proven on a daily basis,
As the power of nature has its way...
What we claim to be a faith in The Almighty,
Is only as strong as those impressions we make.
Obsessed to possess,
With things and other values faked.
Kept until one day they suddenly leave.

'If only we had power.'

~Power to do what? ~

'To see.'

~You've had that from the beginning.
What has changed? ~

Will give you a meditative poem
an insight into the meaning of shadows

the beholder and the beheld

To Prove With Misguided Determination

Even upon their arrival,
Some will view them as aliens...
Or invaders.

But as leechers placed here to feed,
On a planet that allows this.
We've been blinded to believe we lead...
With limited consciousness,
That separates us from our own commonness.

And an awareness of that,
Has us in struggle and conflict...
To prove with misguided determination,
There is reason to exterminate our own existence.

Even upon their arrival,
Some will view them as aliens...
Or invaders,
To a way of life we choose to fight...
To the bitter end!
For purposes to control creation.

'That makes no sense! '

Really?
Tell me you are kidding?

Gift Of Faith

All this pain surrounding me; hopelessness is all that I see now
Does it have to be this way?
Brought up on hypocrisy
The seeds they sow dont last forever
They just fade away...
Dont be confused by the lies of the fools and deceivers
Hope and believe in the things that we need to survive
We can make it if wed only take the gift of faith
We can change it if wed just accept the gift of faith
Take away my dignity
Take away my hope and my freedom
You got a world full of rage
Dont cover me with apathy
Dont buy and sell what I believe in
Dont lock me in a cage
In a world where no ones alone, trust should come easily
Just reach out your hand, and Ill give you mine.
We can make it if wed only take the gift of faith
We can change it if wed just accept the gift of faith
Dont be confused by the lies of the fools and deceivers
Hope and believe in the things that we need to survive
We can make if if wed only take the gift of faith
We can change it if wed just accept the gift of faith
We can make if if wed only take the gift of faith
Its yours to choose but only fools refuse the gift of faith.

For A Very Special Lady Called Melvina

As we travel along our many different roads,
we meet people, sometimes face to face and sometimes not.
They influence us through their words,
and change us in someway.
This poem is written for one such person,
a very special person whose name
is none other than PH’s Melvina Germain.
I’ve often stated that it was through her poetry
that brought me here to PH.
On my arrival, I was very confused,
even poor Mel couldn't read
the mixed signals that I was giving.
However, as the weeks turned into months
her inspiration brought me to my senses,
and after a long absence, I began to write again,
stronger and wiser than before.
However that wasn’t the only thing she gave to me,
though I don’t think she ever realised.
She gave me a greater gift,
which was my faith in God back.
I had lost and was wandering
like a lost and vacant soul.
With the guidance through her writing,
I was soon put back on track, and derailed no more.
She was to give me one more gift,
which I adore her for.
The greatest gift one person can give another,
the gift of friendship.
There is more I would to tell you about her,
but then, this poetic tribute would end up
as a poem without end.
So I am going to end by saying,
Melvina, there are a lot of things
I would never have without you.
You picked me up when I needed it the most.
For that, I will always be in your debt.
Although this poem is not
all that good as it should be.
Please take it anyway
for all the esteem I hold for thee.
God bless you Mel.

Evil Will Prevail

With loving hands and their arms are stretched so wide they cant
Seem to take a breath knowing evil will prevail, and a million people
Seems
Like a lot, and a million people cant be wrong...
With loving smiles, and their mouths are stretched so wide they cant
Even
Take a breath, knowing evil will prevail, and the magic bullet is the
Glowing mother ship, and the mother zaps you dead...
With loving hands knowing evil will prevail
Knowing evil will prevail
Knowing that evil will prevail
Knowing evil will prevail
Knowing that evil will always win...

Others Who Fake It

Needing less attention.
And confessing human sins.
This aging phase,
Finds many who have made it...
At such a rewarding,
Appreciative stage.

Feeling grateful to have life!
And understanding more,
Of this 'gift' that life is.

Seeing things for what they are...
And not for what they are not.
Finding it so trivial now...
To hold onto pettiness held,
To become glad and light hearted...
Knowing that 'stuff'
Has long been dropped.

I feel where I am now,
Should be the beginning.
And not near the end that comes.
Accepting reality for what it is for me.
And realizing with a maturity,
That's how life should be lived...
By each and everyone!

And that makes a happier life to live.
Knowing I am here,
To leave others who fake it...
Or however it is taken,
For their own sakes...
And making it on their own,
Alone!

Life's A Gift

Life’s a gift for you to send
Life’s a gift for god to end
Life’s a gift now you’re with me
Life’s a gift for all to see
Life’s a gift when love is true
Life’s a gift when times look blue
Life’s a gift with the one you trust
Life’s a gift even if UN just
Life’s a gift a ray of sun
Life’s a gift though your heads held to a gun
Life’s a gift when its handed on a tray
Life’s a gift even though it’s always on display
