That Mindset Remains With Them
As soon as they realized pay was involved,
For something they deemed easy...
Everybody and their mamas wanted in on the act.
And that mindset remains with them to this very day.
People wish to get paid for expressing interest.
However...
Working towards a goal to pursue experience,
With discipline and devotion is not seen on TV.
Therefore...
Expectations are high,
That someone should handover to them...
Fame, fortune and notoriety.
Or...
A job doing 'nothing' that can be bragged about!

Fame And Fortune
Sittin' in the back of a limousine, feelin' just like a king
All the girls come runnin' to you, you're the latest thing
Sittin' up there at the top of the charts, lookin' like Mr. Cool
You take all the money, steal their hearts, they'll come runnin' to you
Your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
All your fame and your fortune, you better take a look around
With your fame and your fortune, careful who you talk to
Or the fame and your fortune, watch it all tumble down, yeah, oh listen now
Now you're lookin' for inspiration, somethin' to say
When you find that it don't come easy, you find them running away
You had it all in the palm of your hand, and let it slip away
You made it big, ooh so big, and then you threw it all away
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Fame and your fortune, hey you better take another look
At your fame and your fortune, it set you up, then it caught you
Fame and your fortune, surely gonna let you down, hey tell me now
(Solo)
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Take your fame and your fortune, wait and take a look around
For your fame and your fortune, who do you talk to
'Bout your fame and your fortune, as it all comes tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, yes all come tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, all comes tumbling down...

Everything about it worked, and I don't mean just the movie, but in our experience, we realized there's also a component of luck involved in this business. We had absolutely the most competent people in the studio working on the release and ad campaign.

Expectations Are Too High
If what is believed is so easy.
As it is perceived and rumored to be.
Why do so many express less interest?
To denounce those doing it,
Do it without a labored effort.
Or an agonizing heard as an input.
While others suspend the notion of hard work...
To be something that is monitored from 9 to 5.
Leaving a majority to whine and cry,
That expectations are too high.
And those salaries that are paid,
For their avoidance to do any work at all...
Is too low!
And a 'luck' has been bestowed upon those,
Who enjoy what it is done they do.
With few getting paid to complain.

No No They Don't
No one can express concern,
To those who only associate themselves...
With disrespect.
No love can be shared,
With someone who perceives...
A weakness is there.
Expectations are not too high...
When low self esteem,
Is threatened by achieving mediocrity.
'You can 'trip' if you want to!
By showing fools you can do backflips!
To prove that's what you can do.
And expect them to be awed by it!
You can even scoop them fresh ice cream,
To soothe their 'mooding' too!
With lips dripping from an oozing positivity...
You believe will impress.
With an attention that captures,
To arrest an understanding...
You 'then' can address.
But people like these,
Don't give a damn...
About their own mamas.
You can 'trip' if you want to!
By showing fools you can do backflips!
To prove that's what you can do.
And expect them to be awed by it!
But people like these,
Don't give a damn...
About their own mamas.
No no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.
Oh no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.
No no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.'

You Just One Lucky Dude
Hardships.
Pain and sorrow.
Discipline, sacrifice.
Loneliness and isolation.
Holding on to have a dream,
Realized as wished.
With no guarantee of its final appearance,
Is what it takes with commitment to succeed.
'I understand what others may have done.
But what formula did you use,
To make your success achieved...
So easy.'
I sat back and procrastinated.
And did nothing everyday,
But bragged about what I would do...
IF I had the opportunity.
'I knew it.
That's what I've been telling everybody.
You aint better than nobody else.
Except you just one lucky dude.'
And blessed.
'Whatever.'

Since Birth
When one 'is' who they are...
And has been who they are since birth.
Expressing what it is they do,
Because it is no fluke!
Or a passing whim.
The odds are against those,
Who bet the one dissected...
Will be changing anytime soon!
With many hats worn,
To express from the same creativity.
As has been done since birth.
So to ask,
'Larry?
Are you 'still' doing your 'thing'? '
That 'thing' might be considered breathing.
And thought to be a foolish question to ask.
Especially if one is seen doing it.
And the process of delivery has been the same,
Since birth!
With evidence all over the place as proof.
But many want to find,
A blemish to be flawed!
Like an identity one has,
With expectations of it to change!
Like a diaper some still wear.
Seeking the next step to development.
And some know exactly who they are...
Why and the how of it!
And that is what they do.
There is no notoriety sought for it.
If it is given...
Then something must be good,
About what it is that's done.
With devotion and dedication.

Mamas Got A Lover
Mamas got a lover
A painter I am told
Shes getting out of real estate
For the art scene down in old soho
Art scene down in old soho
Mamas got a lover
He owns a gallery
She says he likes collages but
The moneys in graffiti
Moneys in graffiti
Mamas got a lover
I met him yesterday
She says she hopes I like him
Maybe Ill send him a card on fathers day
Fathers day
Mamas got a lover
Theyre backing a film
Its about a working mother
Who gives birth to black and white siamese twins
Black and white siamese twins
Mamas got a lover
Hes got something to say
He says hes into dirt and rot
The essence of urban decay
Urban decay
Mamas got a lover
We met yesterday
She says she hopes I like him
Ill send him a card on fathers day
On fathers day
Mamas got a lover
I met him yesterday
Shes starting a new chapter
I wish she was on the last page
The last page
Mamas got a lover
We met yesterday
She says she hopes I like him
Ill send him a card on fathers day
Fathers day
Mamas got a lover (mamas got a lover)
Mamas got a lover (mamas got a lover), oh
Mamas got a lover (mamas got a lover)
My mamas got a lover (mamas got a lover)
(mamas got a lover)
(mamas got a lover)
(mamas got a lover)

Stop Laughing
The reason why,
They have rejected your assistance.
And have ignored your suggestions...
Recommendations and proposals written,
Is a belief you are seeking something from them.
'Like what?
Notoriety?
Fame?
Or 'Worldwide' attention?
What is it?
There are people living far more advanced,
Who have no idea this place is on the map.'
Well...
Let's just say this,
People approaching them with common sense...
And speak as if they 'might' be intelligent,
Have not been embraced with open arms.
Maybe 'if' they didn't 'think' they knew you,
Both you and they would benefit from this.
'I'll say this again...
'What do they believe I want from 'them'?
Fame? '
Maybe it's fortune?
'Stop laughing.
I'm suppose to do that.'

Uncomprehending the Healing Aspects of Listening
Starting all over again to make things better,
Will do...
What?
Make things better?
And for who?
The very same people who allowed destruction?
Those responsible for the creation of conflict?
People refuse to identify themselves,
As the culprits!
Or deny they hand picked their own enemies.
To refer to them as terrorists.
Who began the outsourcing of jobs?
To send them away,
At the expense of cheaper labor.
Whose products were deemed inferior made?
So other products would be savored.
Who began the marketing of decadence?
To find money easier to be had and spent!
Who stood by to watch unruly children?
As disrespect was ushered in...
With a greeding of deceit,
Making a mockery of discipline!
And the rise of racism is on their own land.
The affects of this,
They themselves began.
What is it they wish to do?
Make things better?
And for who?
Aren't these the same people who made it clear...
Their way of life was much endeared.
Aren't these the same people,
Who had values and standards...
Better than those they now say they fear?
What is it they wish to do?
Make things better?
And for who?
A self examination has of yet for them to begin.
This should be prioritized as a revelation for them.
But they remain in denial.
Uncomprehending the healing aspects of listening.
A mindset rehabilitated,
Is what people need.
A mindset rehabilitated,
Is what people need.
A mindset rehabilitated,
Is what people need.

Something Easy to Do
I am told,
Since I enjoy writing...
I must find it easy to do!
First of all...
If someone finds something easy to do.
And they brag about it,
Not because what is done is 'liked'.
It is done because they find it easy.
Nothing is easy about writing.
In fact,
Those creative things I enjoy...
I don't find easy at all!
There are too many critiques involved.
Folks constantly expressing their judgements.
And then there are those who have jobs and drink coffee,
All day long to tell someone like me,
I should get a real job!
I was told that one time,
By someone taking a two hour lunch break!
And if it takes me two days to a month,
To complete a task...
I don't take breaks until that task is done.
I can't think of one creative person,
Associated with the economic collapse.
No one I know with discipline...
Has time to feed a greed.
And ultimately,
Those of creative minds will have to mend this mess!

Conducting Business
Within the walls of their lofty dreams,
There are many who live seeking...
Fame, fortune and notoriety for their efforts.
And they keep beliefs from limited visions...
What is sought,
Is going to be given.
Not true said one wise who tried to enlighten them.
And because wisdom like this was accessible,
Attempts to share it...
Was thought to be from one,
Ego driven.
And of course familiarity breeds contempt.
So in one ear and out the other...
What was shared,
In the air it went!
Within the walls of their lofty dreams,
There are many who live seeking...
Fame, fortune and notoriety for their efforts.
And they keep beliefs from limited visions...
What is sought,
Is going to be given.
Although these folks still believe,
Simply having talents will bring them notoriety.
Being able to market and package one's craft...
Guarantees an attention one day comes to last.
And those sitting on the sidelines,
Laughing at the ones that get things done...
Learn too late,
How conducting a successful 'business'...
Eventually stands on its own legs to run!
Many do not get this.
They believe their bubbles blown...
Take flight if protected in plastic.
But if not shielded in titanium,
With no faith attached to them...
Drifting dreams will quickly burst.
To leave those without vision...
Discouraged,
Over and over and over again!

That I Did Not Say
If you 'were' to select,
Someone to which your abilities were compared...
To be critiqued.
Whom would you pick?
'Hmmm...
Let's see.
I would probably pick someone who believed,
Their best was to achieve mediocrity.'
But suppose their efforts were championed.
And the greater of your efforts were deemed to be less.
Wouldn't that bother you?
Wouldn't you be upset?
'Why should I be bothered?
My mind is not one of a critic.
And I spend no time deciding 'whom' to crtique.'
So you think nothing of your accomplishments.
Nor of your notoriety.
'THAT I did not say.
My devotion, commitment and sacrifice,
Consistency with persistence and longevity...
Should speak for itself.'
Then you are familiar with being criticized?
'Oh yes.
Definitely.
But I've been working on my low tolerance,
When showing I am getting annoyed.'

Skeletons (home Demo)
I was following adventure, nothing mattered
And I knew best
I had a blood in my head, no one could shake it
Cause I knew best
But now I find
Remains of people that I left behind
I never took them once
I never, skeletons tell me hit me now and then
Because, skeletons to say I told you so again
Wish I'd done things differently
Cause skeletons don't set you free
I'd make a life for myself, I'd be a bigshot
Cause I knew best
I had high expectations, I was headstrong
And I knew best
All of my friends knew
What I was doing to the loving few
I know it's hard to chew
Cause never, skeletons tell me hit me now and then
Because, skeletons to say I told you so again
Wish I'd done things differently
Cause skeletons don't set you free
Well, all I wanted was fame to feed my ego
And I knew best
Cause when you're high on success you get impressed
And I knew best
I knew best

Mindset(Short Rondel)
It's my mindset to keep going
Like the tortoise won the racing
Being slow and steady throughout
Though slow I go steady devout
Running firm towards my target
It's my mindset
I'm proud never to lose my game
Unlike the hare that slept with shame
But to win focussed at my goal
To give my best of poetic role..
It's my mindset

I Wanted Everything
I heard about the Easter bunny
Presents under a Christmas tree
It was dreaming and fantasy
There was no Mom or Daddy
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I had the world on my shoulder
But I was getting older
Knew I was ready for it
Some kind of employment
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
All day working on a truck
Bringing the groceries up
Not much of a salary
No tip for the delivery
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
There's no success for me
Involved in a robbery
There's money in the supermarket
And I'm goin' after it
I wanted everything.

Novelty That Commoditizes Satisfactions Until Eatened
Why would anyone want fame AND fortune?
To complicate the basicness to live one's life,
Without being scrutinized daily under spotlight.
Were we given gifts for the purpose,
To market and sell that highlights a life?
Or are we here to benefit humanity?
To assist the uplifting of consciousness.
With a living to give and to do that right!
Why would anyone want fame AND fortune?
To exist in isolation,
For the act of receiving fading adulation.
Why would one wish to sit upon a pedestal?
And regret eventually such a publicness.
To be nibbled and pick over from a notoriety treated.
Like a novelty that commoditizes satisfactions until eatened.

Summertime
And the living is easy
Fish are jumping
The cotton is high
Oh your daddys rich
Your mamas good looking
I said hush little baby
Dont you cry
One of these mornings
Youre bound to rise up singing
Then youll spread your wings
And take to the sky
But til that morning
Nothings going to harm you no
With daddy and mama standing by

True Action!
We are laborer,
Absolutely Pure laborer!
Then why, suffering, complaining,
On own stresses, about unnecessary sweats and toiling!
Work that must be inspired,
Where worker should never come to tire.
No exhaustion but the enjoyment while working,
And true nobler are enthusiastic about goal pursuing!
True Goal is not achieving the goal,
But striving to reach the goal is the real goal.
One should keep the goal to shoot at the highest emplacement,
So that one can enjoy his whole life without getting retirement.
Goal should be so high so that none can reach,
Why should ideal be kept so high so that it can’t be reached?
Striving to reach the highest is the moment where we grow,
Reaching the goal is the end of the goal, hence it will simply blow.
