I gained more from my inability,
To press forward with a self centeredness.
When my obsession with correctness left...
I realized what I possessed,
Was the power of forgiveness!
I had to forgive myself,
For wishing to please an ego teased.
To share with others my perceived good deeds.
And to see my accomplishments ablaze in spotlight!
Knowing I felt inside a missed insight!
As I used my gifts and talents for my own delight.
And I awakened one day feeling that was not right.
I prayed and asked to be delivered from this.
And I was laid away for months...
Feeling alone in a helplessness.
I told God I was ready.
I was through!
And I was sent a message...
'You are there because of 'ME'.
Allow Me to use you!
That is all I ask of you.
And I will fulfill all of your desires.

Do You Want This?
'Do you want this?
Come and get it.'
I slept with dreams.
And awakened as if they existed.
I awakened as if...
In my hands I held them.
To realize and never to let them drift.

And I began to taste my dreams,
To me fed on a daily basis.
Years of impatience I knew too well.
Rushing to succeed...

Grew To Believe
I did not awaken with dreams to write.

Few people I knew were encouraged to express,
An acceptance of their gifts.

When One Door Closes
When one door closes,
Another comes along to be opened.
Do not become upset with regret,
As the slow pace of the waiting...
Seems to have forgotten you.
Moving with anticipation...
Cures this stagnation of one's thoughts.
And before you know it...
That door of opportunity,
Doesn't require a knock.
It is already opened!
And the gifts that are there...
Are much greater,
Than perceived.
When one door closes,
Another comes along to be opened.
However...
In some cases,
All that has to be done...
Is to walk in to let it be known,
You have arrived to accept your blessings!
And only then does it become realized...
Your low and no more money days are gone!
Something with abundance has come to fulfill,

Forgive And Forget
Forgive and forget as I've been told
That query keeps coming to my mind
As 'I forgive' is the easiest words for one to say
But to forget, to me it seems like a crime.
To forget the evils that someone has done
Or even the evils or lies that they had spoke
To walk away as they never had accrued
As though to have a nightmare and never to awoke.
When we were young we are taught by our elders
To forgive the trespasses against us one and all
We must forget the pain and suffering that we felt
And must lock that away behind our own brick wall.
The lies and the evils that were done to us,
Even by friends and the ones who we had loved
We must then say that I forgive you one and all
And to some, that forgiveness is not even enough.
Forgive and forget those words we have heard
Even the bible does speak the same
To forgive the sins that were committed against us all
And so against no one can we ever curse or blame.
Sometimes though it seems like in this life
The wrong doers are always asking to forgive and forget
And then the moment that you smile and accept their request
They attack you, and they feel no sadness or regret.
Forgiving sometimes it is so very hard to do
And then to forget that person of their evil deeds
While trying not to remember what they have done to you
While wishing in them, you once again could believe.
Now as I think about my very own past
Of all the wrongs and evil deeds to me I must accept
I read that forgiveness is mine so said the Lord
So now I toss the evils done to me off to forgive and forget.

When The New Year Arrives
I hate to leave you.
Like the ones I've done before.
Uncertain if my best was applied.
Unsure if I could have done more.
Perhaps that had been blocked by denial?
Who knows?
Or maybe a pride I kept inside?
And that continues to grow!
More of 'that' needs to surface and show!
Of 'that' without question I know!
However...
I do express a thankfulness.
Knowing together nothing we did bored.
And I look forward to the 'new year' that arrives...
Intending to show I've been taught,
All doubts aside...
My life is to be explored!
Why should I keep hidden,
An excitement felt inside?
And opportunities to be happy and grateful?
I will never sit and wait...
Contemplating a knock,
To deliver 'that' to my door!

With A Happiness Attack
I awakened this morning,
With a happiness attack.
I wasn't sure what it was.
So I laid quietly on my back.
When I fell asleep last night,
I didn't expect to wake up...
Not like that!
And when I opened my eyes,
I was surprised to feel so good.
So the next thing I did,
Was to thank God...
Like I should!
Unexpectedly I received my 'gift',
Delivered from God...
As only God could!
I awakened this morning,
With a happiness attack.
I wasn't sure what it was.
So I laid quietly on my back.
Making sure it was not the nightmare...
Many have become addicted to share.
And I had left staring in disbelief,
That I was not grieving with it!

An Agent I am
in me
the identity of the tree
as i look
and as i talk
i help it send a message
of its existence
so as the next tree
and the next tree
and the next
from the mountain too
i receive a signal
that latches onto my inner self
and every object in sight
the rain, thunder
dance of nature
i am pulled into
the feeling
that each object
arouses in me
a stamp
of their message
good or bad
a storm ensues
what a frustration to learn
that after all the glory
we heap on ourselves
we are but mere
media for all the forms
to project themselves
in the world
as i look at
the tree
this drowsy feeling
it fuels in me
and as i open my mouth
the world is stamped
with its identity
message
good or bad
the feeling to chop
down the other tree arises
one tree subtly using me
as an agent
without me even
knowing it
me drowned
in all the messages
i shed tears over
world's clashes
nature's helplessness
of chaos
in creation
and also the wonder
the wonder
that some far off planets, stars
light years away
are using me too
as an agent
for their ploys
their power
etched on
my trials
tribulations
the (biological) storms
that traverse
this little 5' 5' frame
the oozing
of blood
at full moon,
the lunatics,
the swing of moods,
the favours and disfavours
thrown around
the good, the bad,
the world over
a frustration to
know that i am
a mere agent
in this whole plane
so many things come
into play
and an innocent me
in the centre of all
taking all
for good, for bad
the workings
of the gods?
i found that
prayers and meditation
stop these destructive messages
from crossing over to the world
from polluting our mind, the id
stop the world
from quarrels, warring
yes, quieting the mind
would stop them from
using me as an agent
for their destructive ploys
tearing the world into nothingness
prayers, yes prayers
would douse their desires
the desires floating around the world
i then become a neutral
a buddha in bliss
nirvana
all the trees, mountains

Adjusting myself to suit your needs
