Thank You For The Memories
I 'should' care...
You are limited in awareness?
Yet when I was in despair...
You weren't there at all!
You actually expect me,
In your descend to cushion your fall?
Like you I am a work-in-progress!
Stumbling and learning...
How to stand tall from a crawl!
My heart is not made of steel.
My feelings like yours are very real!
And what goes around comes back around!
This lesson your experiencing now...
For me has no appeal!
But I thank you for the memories,
That helped inspire me...
To see through folks like you with ease!
And have no guilt when from you I leave!
God has given me the kind of strength within...
That satisfies and pleases all of my needs,
Without the use of deceit as a disguise to offend.
As I observe you in nakedness now,
Choosing excuses and ignorance to defend!
Hoping that I will have encouragement to send!
I recommend,
You extend your hand to Him!
There might be a hint of bitterness recalled...
And I may say something to you that offends!
I recommend,
Again!
You extend your hand to Him!

I Recommend Her
Mathis/henley/brown
Well, if you want someone to tear your world apart
Someone who will give it evrything shes got
If you wanna learn to cry, I recommend her
If you want someone whos really qualified, guaranteed broken heart every time
If you wanna learn to cry, dont let this chance pass you by
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you
Shes had plenty of experience along this line, oh so many times
Shes torn apart this heart of mine, its fascinating, the way she operates
Shell put you down when you think youre finally getting someplace
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you, yes I do
If you want your dreams to end before they begin
Someone who will ruin your life, and then laugh while you cry
Dont let this chance pass you by
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you
I recommend her, I recommend her, I recommend her, I recommend her....

But Reach For His Hand
Across the heavens where the only sound, is that of a hymn in glory bound.
For He cares and hears our every prayer, beyond despair He is always there.
No matter how feeble our reach, He will extend a hand for each to grasp even in spite of His wrath.
Across the heavens beyond despair, beyond all fear He is there,
aware of our suffering and our strife and will extend a hand for us to grasp as He pulls us into light.
But reach for His hand is what He will teach, and hearken to His uplifting speech,
in prayer we can reach His soothing touch as with His love enduring, He will lift us up.

Concentrated
When an ignorance offends,
What point is made...
In the making of attempts,
Trying to change it?
That kind of ignorance is concentrated.
A fool is one,
Who doesn't recognize...
Being over-ruled.
Anyone with a hint of wisdom...
Sees ignorance for what it is and leaves.

Thru It All
I used to think that lonely was what Id always be
I used to lie awake at night afraid of facing my fear
But I found my strength, the very day that I found you
My guiding light, just like a fairy tale come true
-bridge-
My self-esteem was low but just like superman
You took me by the hand made me understand
Showed me happiness was never to far- thru it all
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youre the reason I stand so tall
Youve always been there to catch my fall
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youve been my boo my best friend and my confidant
When Im sad and blue youre the only one that I want
And youve got a way with words that makes everything okay
Youre poetry in motion you brighten up my night and day
-bridge-
You said dont be afraid and to never doubt myself
And now that I found you I dont want no one else
Wont you take my hand lets reach for the stars- thru it all
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youre the reason I stand so tall
Youve always been there to catch my fall
Youve been at my back- thru it all
-bridge-
You said dont be afraid and just like superman
You took me by the hand made me understand
Showed me you would be there when I call- thru it all
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youre the reason I stand so tall
Youve always been there to catch my fall
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youve been at my back- thru it all
Youre the reason I stand so tall
Youve always been there to catch my fall
Youve been at my back- thru it all

Delusions Of Grandeur
You don't care about nothing
So you don't care about love
If you want me to come back
You'd better change
You'd better give up talking about money
Begin thinking of love
If you want me to come back
You'd better change
You'd better change for the better
It cost more than dollars and cents
Take it from me there's - got to be
An end to this decadence
This decadence
You don't care about people
So you don't care about pain
If you want me to come back
You'd better change
You'd better change for the better
Start using some common sense
Take it from me there's - got to be
An end to this decadence
For decadence - is fatal
It's the beginning of the end
In self-defense
I cannot recommend
This decadence
You don't care about real life
You're too distant and strange
If you want me to come back
You'd better change for the better
It may be rather intense
Stop this caprice, you've got to cease
This fin-de-siecle pretence
For decadence - is fatal
It's the beginning of the end
In consequence
I cannot recommend
This decadence
This decadence
This decadence
This decadence

Lesson #1
Lesson #1...
You can not convince those,
Who have made up their minds...
That an alternative approach,
Will provide a better benefit.
They will not hear it!
Since their minds have been blocked,
And limited.
Leave them alone,
To experience their own ignorance.
And by doing this...
You have removed yourself,
From feelings of guilt and remorse.
Left behind for someone else,
To eventually admit.
You must allow them to confront their egos...
On their own terms.
If you don't...
No one grows to learn!
And an ego on a rampage,
Isn't worth sacrificing...
An earned peace of mind!
Leave that nonsense,
To find its own way.

I Recommend Everyone Eat Cake
In regards to your digestion,
I would recommend...
The eating of more fruits and vegetables.
'That already poses a disagreement,
As you can see.
Now...
'If' you had 'suggested' the fruits,
And vegetables...
No one here would have ordered,
The icecream and cake.
Just to prove to you,
There are decisions they alone make.
To recommend is one thing.
However...
To suggest implies a willingness to try.
Now no one is concerned about their hips or thighs.'
What a difference a suggestion makes.
'I've been telling you that!
You will learn not to recommend,
But suggest.
The results are unbelievable.'
Hmmm,
I see.
I RECOMMEND EVERYONE EAT CAKE.
'You are wasting your time.
You've got to be a little more pro-active.
Can't you see that is what they are doing? '

There are two ways to extend a business. Take inventory of what you're good at and extend out from your skills. Or determine what your customers need and work backward, even if it requires learning new skills. Kindle is an example of working backward.

Okay...Where Is The Camera?
I should consider giving you another chance?
Another chance at doing what?
Repeating those chances already given?
With a forgiveness that makes no sense anymore?
Or...
Do you recommend,
I put my own growth process on hold?
To leave it placed,
On a cooling back burner...
Until you decided a maturity,
Comes from experience.
And I am to expect that to cross my threshold?
With something you decide,
Is ready to be told as it unfolds.
You have my reaction filmed,
Don't you?
Okay...
Where is the camera?
I hope you've got acceptable shots of my good side.
Because I feel a fuse,
About to blow up to show my bad side.
And...
I am sure,
You don't want to see that used...
AGAIN!
People like you,
See me as a fool...
Don't you?
You are about as funny as Bugs Bunny.
That charming smile of yours,
Has been fired from my heart...
The moment your eyes tried to disguise,
Your last selection of lies.
No more sandwiches for you will I make,
Loving from the 'frig'.
Get it?
I hope you do.
There is a hint in it for you!

Pray for reprieve
We always ask for excuses and pray for reprieve
Cheat our own conscience and deceive
What is use of prayer if that goes with hollow aim?
How can we still pretend innocence and claim?
We all know He is all powerful and very kind
Only things to follow is to adhere to and not act blind
He is always three to help us and take out from crisis
There has to be some limit on our actions with some basis
Is this the only way left to us?
Have we lost all the faith and trust?
Do we go to God only when face the tide?
Can’t we leave the flank so wide?
It can not be called ignorance
It is our excuse trail and stance
We have become greedy and ignorant
We blame God for all incidents
In despair we look at the sky
Curse the self and ask always why
It is not the God’s creation
We have been in for our own in critical situation
When will we understand and come to term?
When will we leave behind past and concerns/
Almighty is always there to take care off
Why do we make mess out of it and laugh
You have tears in eyes when find no answer
Nothing may appeal not even good rain with shower
You want limited gain for your just need
You have become so selfish with greed

Followed with a Hollowed Faith
I am who I am!
A proud and determined man.
And glad I am not limited to labels.
Call me anything you wish.
I am one of those folks,
Grateful to have life to breathe.
And grateful to be able to express,
A sharing of gifts...
With others to exchange to leave.
People who find time,
To restrict their origin with ethnic traces...
Without appreciating themselves,
Or whomever they debase.
Seek excuses to offend and discriminate...
And do so to incriminate with a satiation,
Those hypocrisies followed with a hollowed faith.
And they call themselves 'believers'!
But of what? Jealousy, deceit and hate?

Present strength hidden sorrow
I stand tall as all the misery around me floats
The words when i first heard of the sadness in my life
But i do not budge for i am strong
I walk past all who offer me a kind word to help ease my soul
I decline for I let my strength shine through
Acceptance within my heart I say i am all right
Everyone watches as i walk past and comment on my strength
Some fear that i have no feelings others envy for they hurt so much
I walk through the door of my bedroom and shut it behind me
I fall to my knees and catch myself with my hands as the tears stain the floor
My strength is gone and now my sorrrow envelopes me
My sight is blurred as the pure rain falls from my cheeks
I can not breathe as I realize what happened
After some time i wipe my eyes dry and walk back out with my strength for all to see

2009
Two thousand and nine?
Hmmm.
2009?
People will find themselves delusion free.
And committed to priorities...
Greed and fantasies did not allow them to be.
An awakening of sorts,
Will have them questioning their religious beliefs.
Since those philosophies held onto...
Created their conflicts and their grief!
Two thousand and nine?
Hmmm.
2009?
Remember those times and days of respect?
Expect more of that sincerely reflected.
Accept kindness expressed,
From those you did not expect.
And reject temptation to extend bitterness.
There will be many who will wish to increase peace.
To see the nonsense kept in declaring who is inferior...
As superiority over others,
Will from their minds decrease.
Two thousand and nine?
Hmmm.
2009?
Protective thoughts to defend,
Of what is not yours but mine will come to an end.
Since an introduction of a higher consciousness will take affect.
To inspire goodwill for all humanity!
And all who invested in 'things' they lost...
Will discover they have become happier.
To achieve this without paying the cost!
With wishes of simplicity...
To become the focused objectivity!
Two thousand and nine?
Hmmm.
2009?
A new beginning comes.
With a clarity of mind that defines reality!
And leaving behind divisions and nonsense.
Of all kinds.
That's what folks will find,
In 2-0-0-9.

I Highly Recommend You Find Another Job
You want the oven turned on,
But you don't want to go into the kitchen?
And you expect the pots and pans to be spotless,
Because you are a new arrival.
With a jumping into this heat...
With a full set of teeth seen grinning from ear to ear.
And you wish the others to greet you,
Living in the home as if you are a queen...
And 'not' the MAID they will believe they own?
I highly recommend you find another job!
Because this one you 'claim' to qualify for,
Is not going to be what you've been led to believe.
Because of positions you have had before.
You will not believe how unique this one will be.
The people living in this home,
Think of it as a mansion.
And not only expect you to be the chef...
They expect you to clean up after them,
And cater to every whim they have for you to expect.
With no complaints from you about being worked to death.
Or moaning about being disrespected.
Oh...
And before you leave for the day,
Be sure to mow the lawn and scent each pillow...
That the 'family' living here sleep on!
And after you have made the beds,
From hand washing and Sun drying clean sheets...
Go to each one and listen to their sorrows.
They will love you for it!
And...
I wouldn't advise you to wear make-up on this job.
You've come to serve.
Not the other way around!

Big Hand
The big hand makes all of your favorite things
Like all your dreams go small
And all your friends run away
Until your memories fall
And the words don't fit
But the way the big hand smiles
You just won't care about it
The big hand makes all of your favorite things
Like all your days run out
And your hopes disappear
And your smiles just stop
And your eyes go dead
And the shadows start to crawl
In the back of your head
But when the big hand speaks
It's like fireworks and heaven
So you listen don't think
And wish for nothing at all
And when the big hand sings
It's like fireworks and friends
Leaving alone i'm not leaving alone
I'll never leave alone again
So when the big hand holds up all of your favorite things
And with a touch like glass starts to squeeze
You don't ask "why me?"
You just slip to the floor
You just slip to your knees
But when the big hand speaks
It's like fireworks and heaven
So you listen don't think
And wish for nothing at all
And when the big hand sings
It's like fireworks and friends
Leaving alone
I'm not leaving alone
Leaving alone never leaving alone
I'll never leave alone again...

Multi-Talented
Have I come back with the same rap to unpack?
Perhaps.
Will I be uncouth expressing not a hint of tact?
You can count on that!
Will I reveal facts or just deliver belligerence?
Well...
That's something I haven't done,
Since the last verbal counterattack!
No one won nor was stunned.
How disappointing!
None of that is planned.
Since I am not in a premeditative mood...
To be recalled upon demand.
Although my attitude depends,
On who comes in with more ignorance
Than I can normally stand or myself send,
With an enraged insanity controlled on command.
But I'd be willing to expose a dose or two to throw...
If situations get out of hand!
I've been told I can show I'm multi-talented,
At a moments notice!
And...
Give an exit that is awesome as well as grand!
Unlike some folks,
I have been trained to exceed expectations.
I did not just sit in class!
I became a master prepared to blast any task,
Requiring both attention and completion to satisfy.
'No one here has asked for your resumé.
You have been invited to join us.
Are you coming in or not? '
Well...
I suppose.
Since you are not going to formally introduce me!
'And please...
Do your best to subdue your obnoxiousness! '
ME?
Obnoxious?
I'm appalled by that accusation!
Bring me a scotch and ginger!
HELLO EVERYONE I'M HERE!

Just for today...
Just for today I will start my day the right way
Just for today I will pray on my knees
Just for today I will be thankful for all my treasures
Just for today I will lean more into HIS understanding
Just for today I will be confidant and share my heart
Just for today I will not be afraid
Just for today I will Love myself unconditionally
just for today I will extend grace to all I know
Just for today I will be BOLD and Courageous
Just for today I will share my hopes and dreams
Just for today I will listen to others as well...
and just for today I will help others succeed.
Just for today I will accept myself for who I am
Just for today I will work on my gifts...and
Just for today I will extend a hand to a fellow man
Just for today I will know God put me on this earth to Give

Strength in diversity
Strength in diversity
A best and fine quality
Real need and necessity
In its feel only pity
Hand with uneven fingers
Can challenge hunger
Safe passage with no danger
If closed with palm without anger
Real blessings
Find no missing
Way ahead smooth and clear
Steps to extend without any fear
