Stuck On Pause

The biggest enemy we fight...
Is the inability to admit wrongs,
That are clearly not right.

Punishing the truth with ignorant stances...
Enhances the danger,
And defeats any chances...
To regain integrity lost!
It is the price paid,
For proceeding unswayed at any cost!
With a narrow mindset decreasing.

And the accomplishments gained,
Are flushed down the drain...
By those remaining obstinate,
In attempts to sustain a fading glory
Never to be reclaimed.
It's been lived...
Never to be the same!

Times drastically change...
For those minds stuck on pause!
Leaving options that were bountiful,
Burned to a crisp...
On bridges now flaming,
But once safely crossed!

And all who stood by watching,
Are now victims of their whims!

Little Miss Fit

Theres a good theres a bad
Some are gay, some are sad
Theres a right, theres a wrong
Those who fit dont belong
Well Im the bad
And Ive got to admit
That Im sad
Im a little misfit
Im in the wrong
And thats the truth of it
I dont belong
Im a little misfit
Theres the sun theres the rain
Those in love those in pain
Some succeed while others fail
Some will ease someone tells
Well Im in the rain
And Ive got to admit
That I gonna pay
Im a little misfit
Though Ive failed
Thats the truth of it
See me tell
Im a little misfit
Lifes so hard when youre far from everything
Lifes so cold when you know you have no friends
Well Ive lost
And Ive got to admit
That Ive paid the cost
Im a little misfit
I still grow
And thats the truth of it
Ill always fall
Im a little misfit
Well Im bad
And Ive got to admit
That Im sad
Im a little misfit
Well Im bad
And thats the truth of it
That makes me sad
Im a little misfit
Well Im lost
And Ive got to admit
That Ive paid the cost
Im a little misfit
Im so poor

Forever young

I saw boys driving away to war
in a Ratel-90 armoured car
and they were well trained,
ready for action
and called up for military service
against their will.

Two smiled and a few
waved goodbye
and there was dirt
in my eyes,
when my armoured car
caught speed.

Enemy battle tanks were everywhere
and we fought right through the night
and with first light
an armoured car was stuck
in a mine field
and they were hoping for the best
but the worst was there
and shot out they paid the cost.

Although the enemy
paid a much higher price
and lost,
it’s like yesterday that they
waved goodbye
and sacrificed in vain
their lives for people
that does not honour them
and remain forever young.

Bravado

Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
If we burn our wings
Flying too close to the sun
If the moment of glory
Is over before its begun
If the dream is won --
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost
When the dust has cleared
And victory denied
A summit too lofty
River a little too wide
If we keep our pride --
Though paradise is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost
And if the music stops
Theres only the sound of the rain
All the hope and glory
All the sacrifice in vain
[and] if love remains
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost

Leaving Me Behind

The tramp moves on to the end of the street
I listen to the echo of his hobnail feet
For some theres a future to find
But I think theyre leaving me behind.
The world humes on at its breakneck pace
People fly in their lifelong race
For them theres a future to find
But I think theyre leaving me behind.
The chances they come, but the chances have been lost
Success can be gained, but at too great a cost
For some theres a future to find
But I think theyre leaving me behind.
The wind sweeps up and goes back to its tree
The rain flows by and moves to the sea
For them theres a future to find
But I think theyre leaving me behind.

They never change,

They never change,
They never change,
Never come and understand any event,
They talk bad,
Gossip,
Manipulate,
Ruin reputations,
These are the Ignorant,
They never care,
They never change,
They abuse,
They kill and destroy,
Ignore love,
Embrace the Burdens,
Non-fearing God that start wearing Evil,
But all glory goes to God,
Imagine that we are in a Warfare,
That we must fight on and on to see that Eventful Truth,
Truth that is Everlasting,
Must be Revealed by the Beauty of the Regime,
Start seeing,
Fight the good fight in Suffering and long Humility,
There are the days that bring glory than downfall,
Embrace that Salvation to Redemption.

Sad To See

Giving up on a monotonous groove,
That has fused those stuck in a fading rut...
Has more than addicted.
And is a dilemma,
That has squeezed reality out of twisted minds.

Aging gracefully is definitely a crisis not yet faced,
For those in a mental mode locked and frozen in a zone...
That relays a remaining to stay unchanged is ok!
And not a sickness sad to see,
Afflicting so many without identity or integrity that matures.

An Acceptable Way Of Life

Even though there are thieves and deceivers,
And everything imagined corruptable and crooked...
In these days now lived and...worshipped!
To be exposed as they are amongst us.
It is in the pomp and circumstance of the doing,
That treats those delighted...
Who have found they have become addicted.
To allow a wickedness to thrive.

And those opposed against what is now valued,
Are regarded as traitors to an acceptable way of life.
Becoming the ones now accused,
To making drastic changes,
With a restoring of those lost values.

Attempts to correct those wrongs have been protested.
Exposing them for what they are has people outraged
How can anyone eliminated those wrongs uplifted.
To make again those things remembered,
That once had been great and lived as right.
'We will fight to protect our interests that are valued.
We will fight to spread the decadence,
We so love and praise.'

The Price

There's a price for everything.
And everything has a price.
The cost may be higher.
It is never precise.

A second of pleasure.
For a lifetime of guilt.
Destroying the house,
Of love that God built.

Innocent victims,
Are killed by the blast.
Others they are maimed,
The scars forever they last.

We walk through that door,
Our morals astray,
Not knowing the price,
That will have to be paid.

There is one thing in common.
It's what we all share.
Three nine inch nails,
And the flesh that they teared.

Silent love.
Screaming so loud.
He paid the price.
His father so proud.

The plan was complete
He said, “It is done”
I have paid for your sins
Each and every one.

To accept my free gift.
There's something I ask.
It's a couple requests,
They are simple tasks.

To just love your neighbor,
Like you love yourself.
Put yourself behind others.
Put your pride on the shelf.

When you do something wrong,
You can call on my name.
I'll show you My mercy,
And remove your shame.

My death was the price.
The price that was due.
I paid it in full.
I did it for you.

The Truth

They called you a failure
They called you a lost cause
They said you would never become anything at all
The love generation, With no direction
But when I look in your eyes I see the prize yet to be claimed
[chorus]
I'll say it once, I'll say it twice
That your life was worth the price
Paid for you, Paid for me
And I believe in you
And I know you'll find the truth
I know you've been broken
'Cause I've seen the abuse
I know there's a place inside your heart begging for truth
For a soft spoken answer
That won't wake your spirit
And when I look in your eyes I see the prize that's yet to be claimed
[chorus]
I'll say it once, I'll say it twice
That your life was worth the price
Paid for you, Paid for me
And I believe in you
And I know you'll find the truth
That's not what they told you
When they said they gave up for you
And your nothing
And you'll never be anything
I wait for the day when you stand up and say
I can do all things
Through Him here who strenghtens me
[chorus]
I'll say it once, I'll say it twice
That your life was worth the price
Paid for you, Paid for me
And I believe in you
Yes I believe in you
And I know you'll find the truth
..........
Life, not just any kind of life
This is eternal life
It's easy to understand, simple to get
It's as simple as ABC (life)
A - Admit that you are a sinner and that you need a saviour
B - Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord
C - Confess your sins and committ your life to Him
D - Don't wait until tomorrow

A True Fight

the true fight is not to kill the enemy
at most we weaken the foes
for them to change their minds
and submit to what we think is right
and so
remaining alive we gain on our side
our friends and allies

the true fight is for the understanding
that we are one and we shall be all one on
this war against ourselves
in the pursuit of excellence
and perfection

Surfacing From Their Narrow Crevices

Now surfacing from their narrow crevices...
Most are surprised,
There is a truth that thrives.

Eyes squenched from darkness,
As sunlight hits.
They become witnesses of others...
Living their lives as if those coming out,
Had not and do not for them exist.

Doing their best to catch up with the times,
They find themselves lost...
With minds left behind.
And holding onto values oxidized from rust...
They are thrusted into a world,
Unknown to them and they do not trust.

As they try to solicit others to acknowledge,
Their attempts to awaken and catch up!
They slowly become aware,
They are the ones who chose to hide in crevices.
Worshipping their gluttony...
With a lust that kept them stuck in ruts!

Deception and Its Relatives

One's inability,
To face the truth...
Should not be a reflection,
Of one's integrity.
With a declaration...
Of deceit being one's motive.

Historically speaking...
When has truth,
Ever been a prioroity?
What are myths?
And what known event...
Has never been embellished?

As powerful as truth is...
The dismissing of it,
Has become a part...
Of why some people exist.
Only the ones choosing to do this...
Seem to be the ones ostracized.

One's inability,
To face the truth...
Should not be a reflection,
Of one's integrity.
With a declaration...
Of deceit being one's motive.

And if that was the case,
Everything people have been led to believe...
About whatever it is that they perceive,
Would have to be erased...
As tremendous lies.
Told for the purpose of keeping fantasies alive.

And we all know what affect,
The effectiveness of facts leaves on minds...
Unsuspecting,
That the producing of facts...
Somehow,
Has a direct connection to revealing truth.

And who knew,
That facts, truth and honesty...
Operated on a different level as a close family.
Than deception and its relatives.
Although denial and amnesia...
Can be debated to be first cousins.

Stephen King

His mother called such people ignorant and superstitious, but his father only shook his head slowly and puffed his pipe and said that sometimes old stories had a grain or two of truth in them and it was best not to take chances. It was why, he said, he crossed himself whenever a black cat crossed his path.

Ruminating the past

I gained my parents at my birth.
I gained my brothers and sisters
And then my kids and their kids
Every gain to me was a pleasure.
Then I grieve over the loss of them,
One by one, or at leaving them.
I weep and weep, profoundly weep
Over their death or in their sick beds.
What we lose is what we had gained.
The gained are destined to be lost
Or from them we shall be lost.
I recall the good they have done.
I repent the wrongs done to them.
Rumination of pleasure and regrets
Keep me at the old age engaged.

Love Is The Price

RAP 1:
BABY'S IN THE PARLOUR
WAITING FOR THE RAIN
BEATING LIKE A HAMMER
WASHING OUT HER PAIN
CLEARING LIKE THE ONE
SEVEN YEARS AGO
WHEN HER FIRST BIG LOVE
MELTED LIKE SNOW
BACK THEN SHE DOUBET
IF SHE WOULD EVER FIND A MAN
WHO COULD LOVE HER THAT WAY
THE SAME WAY AGAIN
AND JUST WHEN SHE THOUGHT
SHE'S LIVING IN VAIN
THE MAN OF HER DREAMS
CAME LIKE THE RAIN
REFRAIN:
WHEN LOVE IS THE PRICE
FREEDOM IS THE COST
LOVE IS THE PRICE
FREEDOM IS THE COST
AND JUST WHEN YOU THINK
EVERYTHING IS LOST
LOVE WILL BE YOUR PRICE
AND I KNOW I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING
YES I KNOW I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING
RAP 2:
THEY SPOKE ABOUT HER DREAMS
THEY SPOKE ABOUT LOVE
THEY SPOKE ABOUT THE THINGS SHE WAS SO AFRAID OF
HE HAD THE KEY-WORD
FOR EVERYTHING SHE FELT
SO IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG
TILL HE GOT HER NAILED
PIN ONE'S HOPE ON SOMEONE ELSES LIFE
AND ALL YOUR DREAMS
WILL HURT YOU LIKE A KNIFE
SHE SOON GOT LOST
WHEN LOVE IS THE PRICE
FREEDOM IS THE COST
REFRAIN:
WHEN LOVE IS THE PRICE
FREEDOM IS THE COST
LOVE IS THE PRICE
FREEDOM IS THE COST
AND JUST WHEN YOU THINK
EVERYTHING IS LOST
LOVE WILL BE YOUR PRIZE
AND I KNOW I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING
YES I KNOW I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING
RAP 3:
SHE DIDN'T TRUST THAT VERY FIRST MAN
TO COME INTO HER LIFE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND
WHAT NOBODY EVER COULD BEFORE
HE ONLY MADE HER SEE
THERE IS SOMETHING MORE
TO LEARN ABOUT FREEDOM
TO LEARN ABOUT LOVE
TO HANDLE ALL THE THINGS SHE WAS SO AFRAID OF
TO ALWAYS FOLLOW WHAT SHE REALLY FELT INSIDE
EVERYTHING ELSE WAS A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE

Dangerous Times

I dont know if its in my mind
Watching all the shadows behind me
Cause I could get hurt
Or maybe this time
The cloud has got a silver lining
And if Im scared, I got a right to be
I know, you could wound me critically
Chorus:
These are dangerous times
And if I take some chances
Put my heart on the line
What would you do to me
If I give myself up
To these circumstances
In these dangerous times
Would you keep me safely
Over the hill, theres an army of fools
Waiting for their hearts to be broken
How do I know
If Im gonna explode
When I come out in the open
cause even lovers can turn into enemies
I dont wanna be a casualty
These are dangerous times
And if I take some chances
Put my heart on the line
What would you do to me
If I give myself up
To these circumstances
In these dangerous times
Would you keep me
Would you keep me
Baby would you keep me safely tonight
Can I trust you with all of my affections?
Can I trust you to be on my side?
In these dangerous times
Chorus x 2

It is Inevitable

Accepted or not.
Deceived or manipulated,
To replace it with dishonesty.
Truth.
When it is revealed,
Can no longer be concealed.
Or interpreted for something it is not.

And regretting not to have embraced it,
When that opportunity comes.
To have it faced,
Does not change the integrity of those
Who have known and lived the truth.
When opposition displays its evil.

Although,
Those who have based their lives.
On lies told as they lived,
Are the ones haunted by their misdeeds.
Observed as seen.

Leaving truth shown to be spoken and known,
Eventually winning all battles!
It is inevitable that an evil is chased away.
Once the masquerading of it has been exposed.

Too Late

(lead vocal - lenny zakatek)
When you were standing in the rain I gave you shelter
When I was knocking on your door you gave me none
Well I dont make that kind of deal with anybody
And I wont be that kind of fool for anyone
How do you feel when the tables have been turned?
What will you do now the bridges have been burned?
Cause its
Too late now the magics lost
Too late now the spell is broken
Too late now to count the cost
Of words that should remain unspoken
When I need you by my side you stand above me
And when I look into yuor eyes you turn away
Well if thats the best there is then I wont buy it
Well if thats the only game then I wont play
How many danger signs did you ignore?
How many times have you heard it all before?
Cause its
Too late now the magics lost
Too late now the spell is broken
Too late now to count the cost
Of words that should remain unspoken

Without Prior Notification

For quite a few.
And an unsuspecting many,
It is more important to sustain,
The maintenance of an image...
Than it is to welcome the times we live.

Straining with a drain on false presentations shown,
That gets less cost effective for those who do it.
With a keeping of a preference list.

And for the rest trying to digest what is going on,
To address the speed of changes...
With a leaving behind being defensive about anything,
Seems for them to be more pragmatic and meaningful...
In days where it pays to be observant,
To one's own problematic spending habits.
Increasing with each pinch of a useless penny.

Instead of attempting to make impressions.
Decisions, decisions, decisions!
Especially the ones that do not lessen,
Outstanding payments due on any bills.

For quite a few.
And an unsuspecting many,
It is more important to sustain,
The maintenance of an image...
Than it is to welcome the times we live.

And the times we live...
Will require focused attention given.
Since these days are subject to be ammended,
Without prior notification and at any moment.

Paid In Full

There are wars that are to be won
And there are wars to be lost
There are lives to be saved
And there are lives to be lost
But mine will come at a higher cost

There are victories that are deserved
And even in those wins, something is lost
There are deaths that are deemed necessary
Despite that, their honor is never lost
But mine will come at a higher cost

There are people that do not agree
And believe that the world is lost
There are others that say it’s saved
Only if the doubt and negativity are lost
But mine will come at a higher cost

There are soldiers that believe in a cause
And believe that American values are not lost
There are my bothers that fight on the line
And there are the brave ones that we have lost
It is those who have paid the higher cost
