Spreading of Ignorance

You can not blame a fool...
For wishing to expose,
Learned skills and acquired talents.

But by all means...
A hefty fine can be applied,
To a spreading of ignorance denied.

With Only The Ability To Waste

There was a time,
And this was not too long ago...
When those of skills and talents,
Only had a wish to share them.
To assist others in the fulfillment,
Of seeing 'their' dreams and wishes...
Come true.
With a volunteering of their efforts denied.
And...
Without a dime of payment mentioned.

But those making decisions,
Believed the ones who would want to do this...
Only sought the getting of attention.
And refusing them they did,
To ensure they were dismissed.

Today?
How things have changed.

Today there are those who are hired,
To solicit volunteers.
With the paying of expensive media advertisements,
To attract those with talents and skills to give.
And this is done with blatant attention given,
To the ones getting paid.
With only the ability to waste funding,
To achieve nothing getting done.

But say they do there is no one willing to work for free.
And these are the same people...
Publicly declaring there is no communal unity.

'We need you! '
~For what? ~
'To volunteer your skills,
As a community service.'
~And how will my doing this,
Be of benefit to you? ~
'A job that keeps me paid and something to do.'

Wishin' I Was There

Take your hand
And place it in my pocket
Flick your eyes back in their sockets
Put those thoughts away
Sometimes they're much too loud.
I'll take a breath
And cradle your sweet head
Should've stayed at home in bed
Put that face away
I'm melting for you
[chorus]>[/chorus]
I dreamt
About another girl in bed with you
You just laughed and smiled
Denied the proof
We're fine 'till I think of the problem (heh)
I wish it made sense
Like a joke that no one gets
It's a life without regret
I want it to feel that way, forever and ever
[repeat chorus]
No, don't say you love me
Don't say you need me
I really don't think that's fair
Oh, I'm not so dumb
But when you leave me
I'll be wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there with you
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there with you

Those 'Tit-For-Tat-I'm Gonna Pay You Back-Spats

I've experienced it.
I've witnessed it,
A countless number of times.
I've seen some put up with it.
And pretend that it did not exist.
For 'them'!

I've observed this being done...
And did not quite understand,
How could someone do harm to another...
And not expect a reprimand?
Or a reproval with a pay back...
Making sure 'that' pay back stands!

Hoping that an escalation,
Does not get out of hand!

I have learned as I grow 'wiser'...
AND checking looks on faces,
To determine 'if' I am aging gracefully!
Multi-tasking!
Yes...
Multi-tasking is 'key',
To catch those quick glimpses!

I have learned...
And 'this' needs repeating!
I have learned,
To leave a fool to do fool's business!
AND,
When I was left alone...
After this lesson taught,
I wondered to myself if the person who said that to me...
Was making a point I did not quite understand?
'Then'!
But I sure get the jest of it now.

Today?
I do the best I can not to raise an eyebrow!
Or play those 'tit-for-tat-I'm-gonna pay you back-spats',
Types of games!
I am much too old for that!
Unless...
I am provoked to expose my skills?
And 'then'...
Of course,
One never knows 'which' one...
Will be called upon to be used.
Not to abuse!
I wish to make that clear.
Not at this...
'Nurturing of love' stage of life!
But applied 'if' necessary to use.
And 'then' used right!

Discretion is always a factor....
When 'all' elements of repercussion,
Begin to fill a maturing mind!
With vivid imagination.
Especially when one reaches,
A certain...
Let's say,
Enlightened state of being
Preferred!
And is surrounded with a peace of mind...
Free of desires to want to deal with fresh BS!
Although the concept and temptation,
May tease with an invitation!

Rise to Greatness

There is something to be said about those
Who believe they can solicit themselves
Into obtaining attention, notoriety and fame.
Having little talent for what it is they perform.
But understanding the marketing.
And the strategicness of how to play...
The 'Rise to Greatness' game.
Using the skills to annoy in their favor.
Hoping this applied form,
Of their acquired 'art'...
Achieves their aim to gain acclaim!

I Have Learned

I had been told 'never' to say never.
And for as long as I lived,
I will learn a 'never' said will return.

And I found that to be true.
I have learned to focus and remain conscious.
Never to keep repeating the same mistakes.

I have learned,
The giving of oneself...
Opens the door to heartache.

I have learned,
Forgiveness for some...
Means a forgetting for them to what they've done.

I have learned,
A revolving door...
Revolves not solve solutions.

I have learned,
A no does not mean yes...
To a depleting of my happiness.

I have learned,
Never to allow my peace of mind...
To be plucked by anyone wishing to get on my nerves.

I have learned,
THAT!
And 'that' aint gon' happen no mo'!
Never.

Glad I Had Nothing to Do With It

Am I embarrassed?
By what?
'Anything' I've ever done?
As a performing artist?

Why...
Do you think I should be?
Are you referring to that porno movie?
Now 'that' was a brilliant work of art.
And that was thirty four years ago!

Embarrassed?
Are you kidding?
I have more than gifted jewels to expose!
I'm a performing artist!
Not a scientist...
Wishing for my talents!

However...
I must admit,
I am a bit experimental!
Isn't that what creativity is?

Afterall...
Look in the mirror!
Two performers were very creative,
To put 'that' together!
But don't blame God.
He assisted them the best He could!

And I doubt...
If He is embarrassed at all!
Not saying that He should be.
But I am very glad,
I had nothing to do with it!

God delivers.
And we must accept it.
No matter if we are pleased with what we get.
Or not!
But keep faith!
Someone is there somewhere,
To love us for who we are.
No matter what we look like!

if you had the skills
it would be easier

it would be easy
or it would be easier
with acquired skills

it was difficult
now you have requisite skills
learning can be difficult

who will teach?

Talents Die Easily In Africa!

Oh talents, oh talents!
Talents do die easily in Africa;
But, talents are special gifts which,
Money cannot buy.
It is a special gift,
It is in you,
You don't even need a Higher Degree for them;
Talents are everywhere on this earth.

The talents of Africa do die very often,
Who is even ready to listen to them?
The true talents of the Africans go to the drain.
Like a rain on a train,
Like an early wake up call without a view;
Life is really so strange over here in Africa.

I have a dream!
But, who will listen?
My brain is with various talents but,
Who will help me with my dreams?
Talents, talents, talents! !
Africa turns to regress in this field while,
Others do progress!

Our talents can be useful,
It's time we give a helping hand;
Oh talents, oh talents!
It's time we listen to those who have them;
Cos', we are the world.

Workin' Man (Nowhere To Go)

Wishing well, wish me well
on a dream bought with a penny
wishing well, time will tell
I can see that there are so many
lonely faces stare from your pool
and I can\'t bear to see a fool tonight
so make it right wishing well
wishing well, could you tell, as I stood beside her
did you know she would go
then why did you hide it
if you knew then I\'d be without her now
you could have let me know somehow
can\'t wish and tell, wishing well
wishing well, cast a spell, send her love\'s sweet emotion
do your part, touch her heart with truest devotion
If there\'s a chance, I won\'t believe we\'re thru
show me wishes still come true
it\'s up to you, wishing well
Show me wishes still come true,
It\'s up to you, wishing well
its up to you, wishing well
it\'s up to you, wishing well

Because Of My Own Stubbornness

Why did I not pay any attention?
I have lost everything,
Because of my own stubbornness.

'Well,
You said it yourself.
Because of your stubbornness,
You have lost everything.

But you have gained a wisdom,
In the knowing that you must rid yourself...
From that stubbornness.'

Yeah.
Even if I did that...
What I had will never return.

'I once acquired an abundance of ignorance myself.
I thought I couldn't live without it until it was gone.
And when I sought understanding for my failures?
Guess what? '

What?

'My stubbornness was in the center of all of it!
And when I began to comprehend that...
It didn't matter what 'things' I had to impress others.
And that is the only reason why I acquired 'things'.
My stubbornness made me believe I needed to impress.

You will be fine!
Trust me.'

What happened to your ego?
What happened to that?

'When my stubbornness got up and left,
I realize it was connected to my ego.
There is nothing like seeing,
How shallow and limited one can be.

You will be fine!
Trust me.'

True Gems

Talents associated,
With money that could be made...
Comes from minds fixed on dollars and cents.
And environments with them living within...
Reflect,
A lack of respect and common sense dispensed.

Those with talents and of good deed,
Are gifted beyond belief.
But overlooked are those,
With nothing glittering to expose and show.
That gleams with a material significance.
And sad are the mindsets needing this to be convinced.

However,
It is quite unfortunate that people like this...
Aren't considered the true gems of their communities.
Unless they are dripping with eye popping treasures,
That raises their influence to please those wishing to release...
Their pretentions and embellished fantasies.

'Little boy...
Would you like to sell your soul,
For the taste to parade a few trinkets? '

~Would you like to feel my foot up your ass?
I'm 'not' your little boy! ~

Stepping On Cockroaches

Such absurdities are common this day and age.
A conflict of interest is like having a key to a cage in which houses the right to take as you see fit.
As if you have no boundaries.
Limitations are less and less applied.
In till they don't exist.
Don't worry sir it's all yours.
Well look the other way for the price you pay.
Corruption is always denied.
As if that will ever satisfy,
The one looking expose what is beneath all those cloths.
Mirror imaging the truth for a gain and to stain a mans name.
Does he really have a heart gold?
When will you ever truly know?
Before its too late?
Or after misdeeds have been aided and abetted.
And will there any consequences for those mischievous little helpers?
Don't worry sir if the price is right we will arrest them all.
But first you must pass that law.
And their is a pause.
Wait a minute isn't that what the last one did?
For one to rise another must fall.
Does it really matter the means?
Why it most certainly does.
For if similarities repeated, then changes will not happen.
A boundless bound is such a approach,
Come on lets step on these little cockroaches.
Well do it together, if it makes the bidding easier.

One Disturbed

Seeking an attention,
By the use of offensive means...
Teaches not a thing,
To one disturbed...
By mental dysfunctions.

An ignorance like this has been fostered.
An ignorance has been allowed to flourish.
An ignorance that grows becomes expensive.
Since an ignorance bestows,
A flowing of it that becomes out of control!

The Increase Of Its Popularity

The one thing about ignorance,
That is beginning to make sense...
To those advocating their prinicples,
And beliefs with enforced implementation...
Is the acceptance of ignorance everywhere.
Spreading to eliminate the thought of its existence.

Leaving the many who had perceived ignorance to be,
As appalling and offensive to become today outnumbered.
Making the appearance of ignorance the choice preferred.
That satisfies both purpose and taste,
Without need for debate to question.
With few left to argue the increase of its popularity.

Dont Be Denied

When I was a young boy,
My mama said to me
Your daddys leavin home today,
I think hes gone to stay.
We packed up all our bags
And drove out to winnipeg.
When we got to winnipeg
I checked in to school.
I wore white bucks on my feet,
When I learned the golden rule.
The punches came fast and hard
Lying on my back in the school yard.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Well pretty soon I met a friend,
He played guitar.
We used to sit on the steps at school
And dream of being stars.
We started a band,
We played all night.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Oh canada
We played all night
I really hate to leave you now
But to stay just wouldnt be right.
Down in hollywood
We played so good
The businessmen crowded around
They came to hear the golden sound
There we were on the sunset strip,
Playing our songs for the highest bid.
We played all night
The price was right.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Well, all that glitters isnt gold
I know youve heard that story told.
And Im a pauper in a naked disguise
A millionaire through a business mans eyes.
Oh friend of mine
Dont be denied.
