I don't expect you to know me.
Or how I managed to travel this far,
Without you.
I had to put my life on hold,
Because of a devotion within me felt.
That kept me away from selfish endeavors.
For many years I thought less about feeding my needs.
To provide those needs for those I adore.
I didn't think twice of sacrifice.
Or having those things...
I wanted then that were nice.
I even spent nights alone without companionship.
Wishing I sat with anyone who understood,
The depth of my commitment.
And why I had to deal with it!
I even got sick...
Prepared and ready I was to embrace death.
That's when you and your friends,
Socialized without end...
Having fun and comparing dance steps.
I remember spending six weeks,
Feeling weak...
In a forced locked down isolation meant!
To heal and recover as I did...
Has created within me a freedom from limitation.
And an abundant insight instead!
I don't expect you to know me!
Or how I managed to travel this far without you.
But I do understand where you are coming from.
I was there myself!
That is why where you are is so very clear!
And I am blessed with a gratefulness,
My faith has strengthened!
Since it has been God alone,

I want a ticket to anywhere

Anyplace is better

On my way to LA
Staring up at the screen
All flights were delayed
When a voice from behind me asked
Stranger, how have you been?
Well, I was caught off guard

I Didn't Quite Understand It At The Time
No tolerance do I have,
For those who show their gratefulness...
With their hands out.
I appreciate those having less than others.
I grew up like that myself.
But I always witnessed my mother doing things!
And they were always for someone else.
And my grandparents were wizards.
To this day no one can explain,
What they did and how that was done.
And my motivation comes from them.
Taking nothing for granted!
With no expectations from anyone!
No tolerance do I have,
For those who show their gratefulness...
With their hands out.
I saw my father's blistered hands.
From working with hot iron in the foundry.
He once had said he was cursed for being black.
And my mother he called 'high yellow'!
Saying she was 'lucky' for that.
But these 'traps' of having less,
And inflicting self defeat...
Was not a way I intended to look at life.
Not when I had dreams,
To be free of limitations and to write.
Sometimes it was said to me...

I was told one day I was embittered,

But he is without guts driven by motivation.

I just do not view them sipping on cocktails.

A wishful thinking
What I had wished throughout life?
No trouble, nice spending with beautiful wife,
Children to remain very close and playing,
I knelt down before HIM for praying
I wanted the life to be challenging and very hard
I didn’t want to make it substandard
It has its own advantage or disadvantage
It is to be lived and nicely managed
I also didn’t want it to be very hard and tough
I never wished that people should behave very rough
I desired it to be very smooth sailing
To go in for all chances and availing
I want to lead the life with honor
I never wished it to be spent in corner
I should witness easy going,
why should I witness stone throwing?
I have been blessed with all comforts
People love me and maintain good rapports
I seek their approval in all my affairs
We were known as lovely pair
I have made life as easy as possible
So many created hurdles and made it impossible
He stood be my side and lead to happy end,
All had beautiful feelings and messages were also sent,
I have no regrets, no ill feelings or whatsoever of any kind
I have not allowed them to rule and place to find
I continue to seek His blessings with sincere prayers
There is no one to go with arguments or act as buyers
It is individual’s wish to mould the life in a way he wants
People may offer bad comments with clear taunts
It is there way of dealing with innocent and nice persons
I see no logic behind it with enough reasons
They may try to drag in you in unnecessary controversies
They may also pretend to be close friends with their adversaries
It is simple way of fooling and lands them in trouble
There may prevail uneasy calm before rise of bubbles
Life needs to be trimmed as per our wish
It must have full freedom of movement as that of fish
The pond may be very fast with enough of space

It is totally in our hand to make it smooth

The Utter Importance Of Eating Cheetos
One day I just woke up
Just knew things were different, as I drank my cup
Of water, it was sweet, it tasted different
I really felt, that something had been sent
My way
Some joy, some kind of peace, no it wasn't those
It wasn't my clothes
It was... sweeter... it was, freedom, yes freedom I say
Today, that day, would include possibly one of the most important
Moments of my entire life
Although my day was rife
With the mundane and the normal, my freedom was heaven-sent
So I did something I didn't think I could ever do
I did something that I never knew
Could ever be so important, so sweet... so free
I opened up the pantry
I found exactly was I was looking for
I poured myself a plate of cheetos... and then some more
But I didn't realize the importance of what was about to happen
The kind of occurrence where you're amazed and just say amen
I reached over to eat a cheeto
But then I thought you know....
I don't want my hands to get dirty
Hmmmm well let's see
I've seen people do a lot of things, like use a bag
Put them in a cup, but then I thought of something totally unique
This idea definitely did pique
My interest and it would get me out of my snag
I decided I would do something I thought I'd never do
Something really weird too
I grabbed a spoon and used that to eat each cheeto
But who could ever know
The utterly significant beauty of this one moment
To me I had for once, done something that made me, me
I did something unique, because I wanted to... finally
I was starting to feel like I had an identity
I had hated myself for so long, anything that made me, me
I refused to see
It was repulsive because it was... it was..., well it was me
But today with sweetness and freedom
I ate my cheetos and it was bomb!
I ate them with a spoon, and now that's part of my identity
I felt like I was me, I'm... I'm me
But I felt one other thing that I also did not expect
In this very deep moment, there was some other feeling I did detect
As I used my spoon and looked behind me
Just to see
If anyone else could see me
I had this very strange feeling besides my freedom and sweetness
I wonder if I could describe it for you hmmmmm

You suggested to me let us meet anywhere,
A place Where HE is not there,
We then will have enough freedom,

You think I've got it all
You think I've got it made well
How come my only friends are the ones I pay?
No one understands
What I would do to change my life for just one day
