Smooth Of Any Lumps
You want it in the middle too deep.
And,
Leave the beginning left weakened.
To end in surprise with stretched wide eyes,
Those caught off guard by 'your' strategy.
Hoping we are left to be the winners believed.
But you and I need to first agree,
We are united in a unity.
With a movement smooth of any lumps.
And what we do together,
Will not find our shoulders humped over...
With a stumping done that has us crunched.
Remember...
A good pie crust is never rushed in the making.
The whipping of eggs with the butter mixed...
Then adding flour with baking powdered to it.
And a dash of salt to top it off,
Should leave the crust perfect and flaky enough.
A good pie crust is never rushed in the making.
The whipping of eggs with the butter mixed...
Then adding flour with baking powdered to it.
And a dash of salt to top it off.
Should leave the crust perfect and flaky enough.
'Listen...
We are in the trenches drenched with rain.
That analogy,
Somehow isn't working for me.
Why are you 'always' thinking of your stomach? '
Ssshhh...
I swear I can hear the peeling of sweet potatoes.
'Yes...
I agree we are in need for someone to respond,
To our request to be relieved from our bivouac.
A few days away to celebrate the holiday would be nice.'
That's what I've been saying all this time.
I'd rather give my thanks in person.
'Me too! '

Struggle for Time
Time sits still when you want it to pass
Tic-Toc goes the seconds, Re-united at last
But this Time, I felt like the clock was against me
It didnt want this to happen
Yet Time for you, gave you time to be
to be yourself and to above all be free
But time for me, felt like slavery
Locked down in a prison of bitter-sweet savory
Time for you gave you time to let others in
Time for me stopped, I couldnt tell when again It'd begin
While Time worked against me, I fought back in a counter-clockwise direction
Pushing the forces of time in reverse,
But then I realized fighting time, let Time win
Because time ran on its own schedule
And though time is of the essence, time hasnt given me his blessings
And now Time for me, has run out
Time took hope with him too
Just when I thought time took all that it could,
Time rushed back in, and took all that was good
Time left me broke, so I worked hard for that overtime pay
But Time rushed back in, and took that away
I said I'd get it another day
So Time decided to leave me stuck in the past
I decided to sleep. Hoping Time would leave me atlast
And leave my eloped hope with me, and all that is good in peace
Time left in my dreams that night, And i woke up to the
Tic-Toc of the seconds, and I was re-united at last

Whippin'
Don't need a helmet got a hard hard head
Don't need a raincoat I'm already wet
Don't need a bandage there's too much...blood...
After a while seems to roll right off...hmm...
Whipping ah...they're whipping ah...
...they're whipping ah...they're whipping...
Don't need a hand there's always arms attached
Oh don't get behind I can't fall back
Why must we trust all these rusted rails?
They don't want no change, we already have
They're whipping, ah...they're whipping, ah...
...they're whipping, ah...they're whipping...
Don't mean to push, but I'm being shoved!
Ohh, I'm just like you, think we've had enough
I can't believe a thing they want us to...oh...
Oh, we all got scars, they should have 'em too...
Oh, they're whipping, ah...they're whipping, ah...
...they're whipping, ah...they're whipping...
They're whipping, ah...they're whipping, ah...
...they're whipping...yeah...they're whipping

Run Devil Run
(McCartney)
Run devil run, the angels having fun
Making winners out of sinners better leave before it's done
When he gets through, he'll be coming after you,
Listen what I'm saying to you Run . . . Run Devil Run
By a swamp in Alabama in the cold in the damp
Sittin reading by the light of a kerosene lamp
Lives a holly roller with a mission on her mind
Got to spread the word to anybody she can find
You can hear her screaming any time in night or day
This is what she says to keep the demons away
Run devil run, the angels having fun
Making winners out of sinners better leave before it's done
When he gets through, he'll be coming after you,
Listen what I'm saying to you Run . . . Run Devil Run
Her brother and her sister said that she brought them down
Steppin on the bus that was heading to town
There they started drinking, they got into a fight
The sheriff introduced them to the jailhouse for a night
When the holy roller came to town to pay the bail
This is what she sang as she was leaving the jail
Run devil run, the angels having fun
Making winners out of sinners better leave before it's done
When he gets through, he'll be coming after you,

The Auld Wife
PART I
The auld wife sat at her ivied door,
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
A thing she had frequently done before;
And her spectacles lay on her apron’d knees.
The piper he pip’d on the hill-top high,
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
Till the cow said, “I die,” and the goose asked “Why?”
And the dog said nothing, but search’d for fleas.
The farmer he strode through the square farmyard;
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
His last brew of ale was a trifle hard,
The connection of which with the plot one sees.
The farmer’s daughter hath frank blue eyes;
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
She hears the rooks caw in the windy skies,
As she sits at her lattice and shells her peas.
The farmer’s daughter hath ripe red lips;
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
If you try to approach her away she skips
Over tables and chairs with apparent ease.
The farmer’s daughter hath soft brown hair;
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
And I met with a ballad, I can’t say where,
Which wholly consisted of lines like these.
PART II
She sat with her hands ’neath her dimpled cheeks,
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
And spake not a word. While a lady speaks
There is hope, but she did n’t even sneeze.
She sat with her hands ’neath her crimson cheeks;
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
She gave up mending her father’s breeks,
And let the cat roll in her best chemise.
She sat with her hands ’neath her burning cheeks,
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
And gaz’d at the piper for thirteen weeks;
Then she follow’d him out o’er the misty leas.
Her sheep follow’d her, as their tails did them,
(Butter and eggs and a pound of cheese)
And this song is consider’d a perfect gem;
And as to the meaning, it ’s what you please.

All Mixed Up
She shadows me in the mirror
She never leaves on the light
And some things that I say to her
They just dont seem to bite
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
She tricks me into thinkin
I cant believe my eyes
I wait for her forever
But she never does arrive
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
She says to leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
She says to leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
Shes always out makin pictures
Shes always out makin scenes
Shes always out the window
When it comes to makin dreams
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
Its all mixed up
She says to leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
She says to leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
She says to leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
She says to leave it to me, yeah
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
If you leave it to me
(leave it to me)
Everythingll be alright
(be alright)
Yeah, if you leave it to me
(leave it to me)
(be alright)
(be alright)
(be alright)

Give Them Cake From The Baker
I've been told,
There is an ethical approach to poetry...
That is both etiquette and acceptable.
And yet...
Those who express this clinical direction,
Seem not to be able to define...
Poetic limitations.
If it does not expose the comforts,
Of either prose or rhyme,
Or addresses a particular interest to reflect...
Emotions scented with a retrospective.
'Give them cake from the baker!
And not just the crust from which to taste.'
~Now...
I have these 'nagging' questions.
Would that be whole wheat flour?
Or all purpose and enriched?
Is the baker qualified with a certificate?
And...
Would the crust be frosted? ~
'Well...
Wouldn't that depend on who critiques?
And who has the ability to influence,
What it is others should or should not 'eat'? '

Liquid Sunshine And Powdered Rain
When we go on holiday
we like to see a bright sun above,
but there are occasions when
we are treated to liquid sunshine and powdered rain.
Sometimes the seasons get mixed up
and summer comes late
and other times winter calls
in the middle of the year.
There are even times when
each season will visit us each day.
However when you are on holiday
you enjoy it without a care.
Early in the morning you get powdered rain
and by mid morning the liquid sunshine calls.
Before the evening falls
you feel the warm rays of the sun.
No one can predict the weather,
we have to take it as it comes.
When you go on holiday
just go out and have some fun.

Butter
Pull me from the toaster
Straight into the roaster
Fill my head with the stuff
Brightest dreams are made of
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Duh
Promising the big guns
Reward when the light comes
Screaming from the damage done
Screaming from the damage done
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Duh
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up like I know you will
Cover it up like I know you will
Better yourself like I know you will
Breaking the trust like you always will
Be good for it, you never will
Be good for it, you never will
Be good for it, you never will
Be good for it, you never will
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Butter me up, butter me up
Duh
So you think you got the best
Thought I was like all the rest
Reaping from the damage done
Reaping from the damage done
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Bringing me down again
Duh

Dont Leave Me
Youre sweet just like the sun
But what happens when the sun doesnt stay?
The night reminds me when you went away
Now my mind was pacing, heart is racing contemplating things that I lack
Even though you left me by myself, do I want you back?
Will you stay or will you walk?
Will you let go?
Leave me all alone
Im giving you one more chance
To make things last
Ring around the roses then shell stay
Leave me once
Leave me twice
Kiss good-bye that will suffice
When you go away
Dont look back
Leave me once and Ill be fine
Leave me twice Ill make you mine
Just one more chance to make it once again
As the days go by, I am asking why did you leave
You left me alone and then you walked out on me
Thinking of days, thinking of ways, thhinking of things that I should say
I wanna be with you and thats the only way
Dont say good-bye, just dry your eyes
A tear for everything that I did wrong
Dont say goodbye, just dry your eyes
Listen now just try and see me please dont leave me now.

Pancakes and With Baked Salmon
I do have this 'thing'
For my own homemade pancakes.
And with baked salmon!
What a treat to eat.
You are not going to get any that I make!
But here is the recipe.
You can do it just like me.
First beat an egg in a mixing bowl,
Add a tablespoon of baking powder.
A third teaspoon of salt
A full teaspoon of sugar.
And about a third cup of vegetable oil.
Beat that all together.
Now you want to add the flour.
About a cup...maybe more...
If you're serving more than two people.
I choose to use evaporated milk.
At least a cup.
Whip all this stuff up.
Heat that frying pan or griddle.
Medium to hot.
Add some olive oil if you got it.
Vegetable oil will do.
With a slice of butter added too!
OH! I almost forgot the salmon!
I use salmon steaks.
Preheat the oven 350 degrees.
After rinsing the salmon...
Rub with apple vinegar.
Salt and pepper if you please.
Lay on tin foil since this is what I use.
Add butter and a bit of oil!
Enclosed that salmon within the foil.
Baked twenty minutes.
That's all it takes!
ENJOY!
Use syrup on the pancakes.
Perhaps a little Vadalia Onion Dressing,
On the salmon.
And if you don't like this...
You definitely will love,
My brown sugar/mustard roasted chicken.
But I'm not sharing that right now!

4. A Merry Christmas
Gone shopping for good brandy butter
My homemade plum puddings in need
I don’t want a tin of rum sauce mix
It just wouldn’t do no indeed
Last night’s Christmas Eve rush was crazy
The shop had none left on the shelf
So I bought half a pound of best butter
To mix up with brandy myself
My mixer took brandy and butter
It churned the lot up to a paste
I drank what was left of the brandy
As I don’t like things going to waste
Everyone had a good dinner
With plenty of wine, port and sherry
But no one got fresh brandy butter
We all fell about slightly merry

Putting all the eggs in one basket
Every time I leave
Mother always reminds me
This: do not put all your eggs
In one basket,
Because when I fall
All the eggs will break and I will be left with
Nothing.
Even a nincompoop understands that.
Oh mama! I do not have those many eggs
And she does not have any basket,
We sure both, have nothing to lose.
Thanks for the reminder, anyway.

Perfect Circle
Put your hair back, we get to leave
Eleven gallows on your sleeve
Shallow figure, winners paid
Eleven shadows way out of place
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Pull your dress on and stay real close
Who might leave you where I left off?
A perfect circle of acquaintances and friends
Drink another, coin a phrase
Heaven assumed, shoulders high in the room
Heaven assumed, shoulders high in the room
Heaven assumed, shoulders high in the room
Try to win and suit your needs
Speak out sometimes but try to win
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room
Standing too soon, shoulders high in the room

Lifted From Deep Sorrow
You came to leave.
Not stay.
You came to do as you pleased.
And then when you were done,
You were off to another one to 'do'.
You came to leave.
I was hoping you would stay.
I wanted to believe this was your wish.
But you just came to sniff and lick.
And I held onto foolish dreams...
You could not fulfill if I wished!
You came to leave.
Not stay.
You came to do as you pleased.
And then when you were done,
You were off to another one to 'do'.
I sat thinking of you,
When you were gone and through with me.
I wish I could not feel you grieving.
But I do!
I was just like you...
Before I cut my pain loose.
But your pain,
You desire to keep remaining in the gutter.
You came to leave.
I was hoping you would stay.
I was hoping...
Something you saw in my eyes,
You would recognize...
Had been lifted from deep sorrow.
But you never looked up...
To witness my approval of your 'business' visit.
I was satisfied...
Yes!
But never regard me,
As a client wishing for your return!
I am seeking someone to specialize my needs.
And although you are good...
I do not think of you as the one to qualify,
As a fireside companion!
When my embers burn...
They do so,
For the one who chooses to stay...
As we together ignite those sparks.
And you...
Are just a quick flicker.
To leave me ablaze,
Before you decide to go out!
And I am no longer about that.
I have a lifetime of logs left to simmer,
For the one who comes...
And enjoys what we can together sizzle!

In Repeated Nakedness
I missed being with you so much,
I gave myself to someone else.
And when we kissed in nakedness...
With closed eyes it was you I felt!
When you decided to leave me alone,
I was bitter at the start.
I promised I would forget you in my mind.
And each time I did that...
There you were in my heart.
I wish that we would agree to meet,
To discuss our faults and dishonesty.
But when you left me with cruel things done...
That was it...I thought!
No more nonsense from anyone!
Those were lies I told myself...
Attempting to hide reality,
On a dusting shelf!
With disappointment and pain,
And everything else.
Even though you and I will never see eye to eye,
I hold you inside with lies I can't deny!
It is you that has taken my heart like this!
And being with someone new...
Will never erase the you I miss!
I've admitted to myself it is you I truly wish.
And making love with someone new...
Can not undo or dismiss,
The 'you' that quick!
Or giving myself in repeated nakedness,
Not as long as you can find me...
Bared with feelings mixed!
