Sigil Glyph

A sigil glyph from nowhere appears,
To signal one so inclined...
Of something magical for one to define,
In one's mind.
Sometimes coming from a made mantra.

A sigil is a glyph.
Or is a glyph a sigil?
Either way,
It is said spiritual power...
Influences the bearer,
That makes a statement of some kind.

Each intelligence and spirit has a sigil.
With an associated glyph created from it!

Between

Between ourselves and the Gods
there is a void
so wide, so drop-off deep-
mountains on mountain stacked
cannot succeed to fill.

Between ourselves and the Truth
there interpose
an obfuscating maze-
an all-but-endless hall
called the material.

Between ourselves and the poem
there is a page
so blank, so white so long
that glyph by glyph
we undertake to scrawl.

Labor, Art, Grace-
these are the corkscrews given
all men by Dominion
to pick and plunder these
august mysteries.

In The Throes Of Life

In the throes of life,
I rather keep my faith and works when it comes to love;
For we are blind until we find the truth!
In the throes of life,
From glyph to analogous!
But, can you tell me the colour of love?
Nice and freely,
Wet and slippery,
Joyful and lovely,
And from cytology to testosterone!
But i am tempered with the same sense of humanity.

The Bride.

Her bridal dawn! her heart was fed
Last night with eerie food,
As, one by one, her lovers dead
Came in the solitude,
And shared the last sad feast with her
In Beauty's grave, as if it were
To-morrow, white and cold,
The ghost of all that she had been
Would pass away for e'er, as e'en
Their dreams had died of old.
Each, with his sigil of despair,
Moved in the eerie room,
For all were cognisant (as e'er
All are beyond the tom
That one night more the virgin tie
Which had bound them would be put by,
As she felt passion's stir
Throb in her maidenhood, until
All that she was, for good and ill,
Became a dream to her.
And so with mystic eyes and ears
They came to say good-bye,
Who had been her bright girlhood's peers
And knew e'en love must die —
That it must be a shadow, too,
As life had long been in the blue
And golden light above;
And as each pledged her in the dim
Remoteness, there came over him
The last desire of love.

Going to School

What shall I teach in the vivid afternoon
With the sun warming the blackboard and a slip
Of cloud catching my eye?
Only the cones and sections of the moon.
Out of some flaking page of scholarship,
Only some foolish heresy
To counteract the authority of prose.
The ink runs freely and the dry chalk flows
Into the silent night of seven slates
Where I create the universe as if
It grew out of some old rabbinic glyph
Or hung upon the necessity of Yeats.

O dry imaginations, drink this dust
That grays the room and powders my coat sleeve,
For in this shaft of light
I dance upon the intellectual crust
Of our own age and hold this make-believe
Like holy-work before your sight.
This is the list of books that time has burned,
These are the lines that only poets have learned,
The frame of dreams, the symbols that dilate;
Yet when I turn from this dark exercise
I meet your bright and world-considering eyes
That build and build and never can create.

Song: An Average Cyber Hero

I'm your average cyber hero;
I don't exist in space.
My algorithm's zero.
I lack all human grace.
I'm your average cyber hero;
And I know my cyber place.
But my wheels are real and turning,
And burning up apace.

I'm your average cyber hero,
Writ in glyph of lower case.
An avatar of Nero,
With a second life and face.
I'm your average cyber hero,
With a cryptic clue to trace;
And I'll out-google Google,
With an engine cued to chase.

I'm your average cyber hero;
But you may think me more.
In the binaries of Zeno,
I'm both paradox and law.
I am the master gatekeeper,
I open many doors
Of perception, in this nano
World, of educated spores.

I'm your average cyber hero.
And I have no warming breath.
I endure a kind of limbo,
That's near to living death.
I'm your average cyber hero,
And I'll dive your hidden depths,
To the clearest seas I've seen below,
Your permafrost and steppes.

I'm your average cyber hero,
Who explores the world within.
A giant, not a minnow,
But a true leviathan.
I'm your average cyber hero,
And I'll plumb your secret well,
To plunge like Captain Nemo,
From a fate not unlike hell.

I'm your average cyber hero.
I'm the ghost in your machine.
Both as sleuth and dogged shadow,
You'll not escape unseen.
I'm your average cyber hero,
You dismiss by barb and scoff;
But I know your craven credo,
Won't let you turn me off!

Thermopylae 300

A merit of lonesome, Persephone's dark ocean
we received. A strong red wine, a wake of pain
that stings. A ghostly clad chorus, a lost odd zone
of Hades and Styx. A gloomy dim swaying
an abstract dull pain, I felt, an emotional strain.

One brink of sacrifice to feel this Charon sigil
as wrought spears pierce, as swords blunted thrust
to acompany this Styx quarry, comply our vigil
sweaty crimson trickles on shield, as lives combust..

Slay, thrust, pierce, a darkened Hydras' task force,
of Hercules, our Dorian ancestor to honor, and kill,
as Pluton, reins proudly the canter of his horse,
as sun sets to crown a new macabre of blood spill.

Three hundred rain drops, and two that remain
to offer again, a destiny altered, a deadly refrain,
denial spelled about my life, over her throne
and there cold air, is to betray, the death of my soul..

A mantle of arrows we wore, a lost last embrace,
a scattered emotion, a gathered devotion, away,
my fingers so callous of a never charisma to trace
there is nothing to encounter, a mist plea to obey
white of candor, a blanket of valor, so death will stay.

One thousand rain drops to bestow domain to fly
up in the clouds, Olympian Laws, this wild garland
passengers of time, the epigraph read, vows comply
in a Plutonian kingdom, a cold old endeavor of blood..

Pontian Scyth

Coal - dark nomadic eyes, under an icy sky,
a steppe robust stallion wild breed canters,
a sigil of Boreas wind, a whipping drizzle,
form of a gray tundra frost, white embrace..

Never obilated his destiny on own volition,
only exception maybe, his higher challenge,
to overpass his fortified scold ambition,
to master in a Gods forsaken earth's edge.

Army paid mercenary, a Pontian Scyth,
warrior of Byzantine deathly squadrons,
his aptitude close to Charon's brilliant myth,
a great honor is to be war-slain by sword!

Two wolves run to his side, ready to clash,
howl to infinity, Orthodox Crucifix contrite,
their obstinacy will redeem his sword's slash,
astute dark Charon will be a visitor to invite.

A Catafraktos, his Acritas rank embossed,
to challenge of the expiation, Olympus offers,
to those who heard the call, in white frost,
where glory in extend relies on deathly embers.

Her spirit glow, a swarm of corax, will foresee
not an ambiguous destiny, but one he knows,
his mortal form, her guidance gild, to repartee,
a cluster of Olympian Galaxy, in deathly vows.

A steppe advent in her dreams, his life slayed
a destiny where all gallantry gathers above,
to meet the precognition told, by a Pythian maid,
where her icy messages, became his love.

Boreas = Northern wind
astute = keen
Catafractos = the nights of Byzantine Empire
Acritas = Guards of the Byzantine border line.
Fought the enemy, sometimes alone, against many.
Pontian - Pontus = The coastal line around Caspian Sea.
repartee = cleverness in reply
Corax = Crow, the sacred bird of Apollo.
Pythian maid= The priestess of Delphi, temple of Apollo

Looking For Silence Like The Other Wing

Looking for silence like the other wing
of what I've got to say, landscaping with meteors,
or the planet having a face lift, some of the words
have echoes and some of them proper names,
and a few still homesick for their prison cells,
I keep painting on the white noise of the world.
I keep writing like a wolf in the fleece
of a shepherd moon with a secret life of water.
Scofflaw, a poet, driven into the wilderness
to listen to the voices of disembodied messiahs,
kings of the waxing year, flesh stripped from their bones
like desert shipwrecks waiting for
the providential tide of their tears to return.
God particles that got in their eyes like sand.
I hear them gnawing on their bones like calendars at night.

And I've said it in a flash of demonic indifference
trying to pretend they were listening immaculately
and I was compassionate, as soon as you give
your fulsome assent to a few simple things
you turn into a test of what you refuse to let go of,
as if you were always faith-wrestling with rattlesnakes
you establish a church of denial that will stone you to death.
You save your soul but you render your flesh expendable.
This for That. Betelgeuse for Aldebaran.
How to read a starmap like the Wall Street Journal.
The optical illusion of a bifurcated consciousness,
loss and gain, but the viper can swim across quicksand
as if it were all one wavelength, the Egyptian glyph
for intelligence that hasn't been wounded by the heart
and spiritually materialized into a path to follow.

Do as the wind does with your mind and eyes. Let go.
Blow the stars off your windowsills, treat all holy books
as if they were trees and let go of their leaves in the fall.
There's always a few jewels of insight in a gossip column
but most of it's rut, rant, and judgement, dream gossip
and slaughter, history with an expiry date.
There's always going to be some demi-god somewhere
asking you for your fingerprints like a paranoid magician.
Kick the skulls off your stairs like last Halloween's pumpkins
and start acting like you're in the world and of it.
Break the neck of the hourglass of heaven and hell
and let time pour out of your cells like exorcised mirages.

Illusions are like rats and seagulls and insects. They thrive.
No more than the night, is life a reward. Water
doesn't live its whole life fearing the indelible
like a wavelength of its own immutable mindstream.
There's no big sky blueprint behind why you're alive.
No circus tent covers your foolishness.
And you're not here to answer for everything else.

Mantra

MANTRA
I went to buy a pen
And asked the sales woman
In a lighter vein
“I’m going to pen
A poem; the best of my writings
Give me that green one
After sanctifying
With a mantra of your religion
Or that of mine”

She replied with a humble mien
“I know Sir, no mantra, no hymn
God, the Almighty will
Take care of all”

I said with a smile
“Thanks! I liked this mantra”

What's On My Mind

I can't have this conversation
Without lots of reservations on the line
If there's a way to slip around it
Then I'm bound to get around it one more time
Honey you are so persuasive
But it makes me more evasive when you pry
You can label me elusive
But the facts are inconclusive at this time
'Cause you can't handle what's on my mind
I've got roses growing over what you'd find
But keep on asking if you're inclined
'Cause you can't handle what's on my mind
I don't mean to drive you crazy
Comin' off all vague and hazy just because
I don't have an answer for you
I just wouldn't want to bore you if it does
'Cause you can't handle what's on my mind
I've got roses growing over what you'd find
But keep on asking if you're inclined
'Cause you can't handle what's on my mind
But keep on asking if you're inclined
'Cause you can't handle what's on my mind
Because you can't handle what's on my mind

Difficult Kind, The

I think I was wrong
I think you were right
That all my angry words
Will keep me up at night
And through the old screen door
I still hear you say
Oh, Honey won't you stop
Treating me that way
[Chorus]
If you could only see
What love has made of me
Then I'd no longer be in your mind
The difficult kind
Cause babe I've changed
Tell it to me slow
Tell me with your eyes
If anyone should know
How to let it slide
I swear I can see you
Coming up the drive
And there ain't nothing like regret
To remind you you're alive
Chorus
I crossed the canyon a thousand times
But never noticed what was mine
What you'll remember of me tonight
Well, it almost makes me cry
Yeah, it almost makes me cry
Oh ballbreaking moon and ridiculing stars
The older I get, the closer you are
Don't you have somewhere that you need to be
Instead of hanging here making a fool of me
If you could only see
What love has made of me
Then I'd no longer be in your mind
The difficult kind
But you won't see the change in me
If you could only see
What love has made of me
But I'll forever be in your mind
The difficult kind
But you won't see
No you won't see
The good in me
But babe I've changed
Cause babe I've changed

It Is God

It is God, and God alone, who rules all from His Eternal Throne,
It was He, who had sent His Son, to be the Savior for everyone,
Who then sent, The Spirit of Truth, to be for sin, God’s reproof,
To lead all men out of the night, and into Christ’s Glorious Light.

And He, who created all the earth, rules over this entire universe,
With His power and sheer majesty, over all that the eye can see.
He reigns over the spiritual realm, with Christ Jesus, at the helm.
Saving men snared in wickedness, by a Spirit of Righteousness.

Then the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, will begin to fill that life,
As The Spirit that’s sent from Him, guides us in this world of sin,
And The Father from up above, fills you with His peace and love,
As He reigns within your heart, to give your life a brand new start.

It was a plan initiated by God, to save people on this earthly sod,
Sending His Son to be sin for us, fallen people, made from dust,
Who sent The Spirit to our side, to be teacher and spiritual guide,
Giving new direction and scope, through our Lord’s Eternal Hope.

A Hope provided by our Creator, through a much needed Savior,
That Savior, being His own Son; eternally reigning over everyone,
As The Holy Spirit is setting apart, those with a God fearing heart,
For hearts that truly fear the Lord, will reign with God forevermore.

Define insanity, define me

'A spectrum of behaviours characterised by
certain abnormal mental or behavioural patterns
that may manifest as violation of societal norms
including becoming a danger to themselves and others or
nowadays denoting mental instability'

Hey! wiki define abnormal, because I don't understand
Tell me who decides societal norms, cause I didn't contribute to them
Let me be dangerous, let me be myself
The stability of whom should I look at?

Define love, define pain, define sufferance
define mercy, define justice, define tolerance
define passion, define sex, define complexity
define insanity, please define me

Take me out of this dream, I can't catch the reality
lead me through this wet fog, guide me home
all my senses are enhanced when
I'm abandoned to your memory

Borderline attitude of being nervous, occasionally anguished
a stormy spirit supposedly calm, a balance quite disturbed
people are arrogant with strange guys
people are scared about non-linear minds
are you among them?

Define love, define pain, define sufferance
define mercy, define justice, define tolerance
define passion, define sex, define complexity
define insanity, please define me

Plain

It made you feel plain, when you forgot your name
Let me tell you something I have felt the same
I know you're in pain but be another boy along the way
God He made you beautiful and there's nothing about you that's plain
[chorus]
You are a jewel, You are a treasure
You are one of a kind
And you shine just a bright as the stars in the sky
You're a rare kind of wonder created just right
So keep your head up the matter the pain
'Cause nothing about you that's plain
It's in the you're not boon tight
The kind of girl that they like
And you're a little insecure about how you look in their eyes
The fashion will change, the trends come and go everyday
But God only made one of you and there's nothing about you that's plain
[chorus]
'Cause you are a jewel, You are a treasure
You are one of a kind
And you shine just a bright as the stars in the sky
You're a rare kind of wonder created just right
So keep your head up the matter the pain
'Cause nothing about you that's plain
See your mind, it is precious
Though your heart may be wretchless
And your eyes, they will see all that you're in to be
'Cause your spirit is strong
And your soul carries on
Keep your head up the matter the pain
There's nothing about you that's plain
I have my days when I feel outta place, yeah
I look at who I am, cover what I can
Wish it all it would change
But, take the makeup away so the same girl still remains
She may not feel that beautiful but, there's nothing about her that's plain
[chorus]
You are a jewel, You are a treasure
You are one of a kind
And you shine just a bright as the stars in the sky
You're a rare kind of wonder created just right
So keep your head up the matter the pain (3x)
There's nothing about you that's plain
You may have felt plain
God He knows your name
Let me tell you something, yeah
There's nothing about you that's plain

The Spectacle of Manipulation

In order to justify existence,
To give purpose to our reality,
We created styles of omnipotence
That dictate the path of morality.
Manufactured images bridled in
The power and pomp of fascination
Define for us our conceptual sins
And our spiritual incarnations.
We substitute our souls at the altar,
Bowing to idols and icons galore,
Effacing God with His own avatar,
Ignoring wonders we ought to adore.
Thus, we hinder becoming transcendent
By simulating what is transplendent.

Responsible Intelligence

Intelligence, energy fields filling space
with filigree fingers of lace, interconnected
energy fields form all units of time and space

Mind forms the cosmos and beyond
part of a universal intelligence,
mind changes natural law

As spiritual beings having
a human experience, we
have created it all

Quantum physics describes
far-off action without discernible
cause, consciousness determines
outcome, belief setting direction

Shine a light through a split while
visualising light as a wave, see
smaller waves appear on the
other side, visualise light as
a particle stream and
triangular particle
patterns appear

- So explain to me, how can you
still claim today - you are not
responsible for the events of
yesterday?

A Prayer For Healing

Heavenly Father,

I call on you right now in a special way
It is through your power that i was created
Every breath I take, every morning i wake
And every moment of every hour
I live under your power

Father, i ask you now
To touch me with that same power
For if you created me from nothing
You can certainly recreate me

Fill me with the healing power of your spirit
Cast out anything that should not be in me
Mend what is broken
Root out any unproductive cells

Open any blocked arteries or veins
And rebuild any damaged areas
Remove all inflammation
And cleanse any infection

Let the warmth of your healing love
Pass through my body
To make new any unhealthy areas
So that my body will function
The way you created it to function

And father, restore me to full health
In mind and body
So that i may serve you
The rest of my life
I ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen

A prayer shared to me by a nun.

God bless you
