Seeking To Be Convinced

They will never find true happiness.
They have chosen to adorn their shells...
With visits welcomed by temptations.
And desperations...
Sought outside,
Instead of inside themselves!
Where this journey begins and ends.
But they spend their entire lives,
Seeking to be convinced!
And peering over the fence...
To compare whose grass,
Remains the greener!

The Other Greener Pasture

that is the usual case
when you look over the fence that you just built
your eyes gaze to the other side
greener than yours
i mean, the grass, not the greenness of your iris
if you could have built a higher fence
so that you can narrow your gaze
within the four corners of your walls
and live this life that is all yours to own
you could have been happier here

but life is not meant to be
just that
four walls, a higher fence, taking all that come
sitting down
and breathing the air inside
the lungs
which until now have not seen the
rays of the sun

play the game
climb a tree
try jumping over your fences

it is only then when
you realize
that after all
your grass has always been
greener
your air more fresh
your fence most stable.

after all you got a poodle
a rose, a butterfly, a bird,

and this PC
that knows how to write poetry.

Beyond The Bend

(words & music by weisman - wise -/ fuller)
Breeze sing a happy song
This heart of mine is singing right along
Dont know where Im going
Dont know where it ends
Till the grass is greener, beyond the bend
I havent got a care
Im just on my way to anywhere
Pocketful of nothing, nothing I can spend
Hope the grass is greener, beyond the bend
Beyond the bend,
Perhaps therell be somebody waiting whos right for me
So I got to move around
And I know Ive got to cover ground
Oh the trip is shorter when you got a friend
Gotta find that rainbow beyond the bend
Beyond the bend, beyond the bend

Green

Sometime ago we broke up for no reason I know
Why do I have this feeling youre still in control
Im confused like Im used to whenever Im in trouble again
But this time I have to grow up and learn to decide
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side
Im way too nervous to be patient right now
Why do I have this feeling Im not in control
The price that I pay for in my almost obsessive devotion you see
Is much higher than I would ever expect it to be
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side x5
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side

Eyes Betrayed

Eyes trained to look away,
With beliefs that which remains...
From them one day will vanish to fade...
Are eyes betrayed.

And generations will pass,
With perceptions the grass is greener...
On the other side of a fence,
Eyes staying fixed on it...
Hope someday will be theirs to get,
If they did nothing but sat to sit...
Fixed.
While allowing the weeds in their fields,
To grow...
With a doing of nothing about it!

And generations will pass,
With perceptions the grass is greener...
On the other side of a fence,
Eyes staying fixed on it...
Hope someday will be theirs to get.

And...
Those eyes trained to look away,
With beliefs that which remains...
From them one day will vanish to fade...
Are eyes betrayed.

Platitudinous Pleasures

I am not attached to platitudinous remarks.
As I reflect on particular abilities!
Really I am not.
Not on this journey I have embarked.
Do you honestly believe an ego is attached to this?
That some trite comments would give me a lift?
Do you realize how long this inside me has existed?
If you only knew...
More of a communication could have been pursued.
I have been on the pursuit of understanding...
For quite a few years.
Expressing these thoughts,
Is a gift to me God has chosen to give.
Inside of me still lives...
A craving to see others be and live as free!
I find that they are not.
No...
Especially after a glass or two of beer,
And/or wine...
With a shot of pepperment schnapps!
And perhaps...
A wee bit of blackberry brandy.
To give thoughts like these a start!
You see...
That's when a 'clarity' comes to visit me!
It seems only 'we' who know what this means...
Are connected to express,
A certain 'clearness' found to inspect.
Only to have those explain it as a creative process.
But not as a depthness coming from a heart,
That others feel free to critique...
And rip apart.
But not choosing to see or believe,
A bleeding of sorts is being done...
By those who neither find it a thrill or fun,
To have their guts poured to be ignored.
And evaluated as a tripping ego,
Wishing to be adored!
This is not that kind of discipline...
To have exposed on the surface,
Without 'something' being connected from deep within!
Who in their right minds,
Would spend their entire lives 'trying' to be defined.
If they did not already have definition?
That is not the journey...
Or the mission!
Or the condition of purpose meant.
Like the sipping of schnapps that are peppermint.
With a twist of lemon and maybe lime to add scent.
And losing an effectiveness earlier sent.
Now...
If that was known,
None of this would be necessary!
Or revealed as a gift...
Given to achieve 'something' believed.
Would it?
No need to respond.
I can handle this!
Could it be...
Just for useless platitudinous pleasures to receive?
And an overglorified ambition,
To mentally tease readers?
I think not!
Anyone who can make some kind of mind attachment...
To this rambling inebriated nonsense,
In which I am in no condition to repeat...
Is welcomed to the last of my brandy.
Sharing is one of my greatest talents.
And for that,
I seek no applause!

A Journey Of A Poet

A journey begins with
A thought in our mind
Words are chosen and formed.

Lines of poem
Well Written with meanings
With words of emotions and expressions

A poet starts with
An inspiration of mind,
An aspiration in soul mind

With reflection
On our life experience
We start to
Compose some
Wonderful poetry

Expressing our innermost thoughts
With deep contemplation
To put them in poetry words

A journey begins when
A poet takes his imagination
To a place where
No one ever dream or imagine before.

A poet's journey ends by
Writing another lovely poem
And deep reflection

A poet remains
As a poet
When he or she
Continue to
Write and Share
lovely poems with the world.

A Redundancy Enjoyed

'...i began to discover these scenes,
and repetitious themes in my mind.
as if there was a permanency i would miss,
if they did not exist!
i had to break away to find another way,
to revitalize misspent energies.
if i did not...
a darkness allowed would descend,
from clouds i seeded.
did i need that?
did i wish my steps to continue to wet,
and soak in rain?
or did i want to feel sunshine...
without complaints,
sitting quick to pick...
effortlessly...
with no achievement gained.
to leave me to sift through conflicts i'd woo! '

Many are still straddling the fence.
Trying to make sense,
Of relentless nonsense.
Easily found...
With an ignorance 'cloned',
And often clowned!

Of course,
This 'resourcefulness' has been there
For quite sometime.
Seeking explanations to define...
Why such stunted satisfactions,
Leaving the uninvolved feeling fine!

Many witness and approve...
Undo welcomed visits with grief.
As if in competition...
To seek a life that's 'pleathered',
And goldleaf!

Nothing genuine or original is sought.
Especially if it takes,
A mind that stretches with fresh thoughts!

There is a redundancy enjoyed...
Locked inside these shallow boxes.
Sitting or pacing in trots,
Are those daily out foxed.
Thrilled to hop scotch...
Through obnoxious pity plots!
There is a redundancy enjoyed...
Locked inside these shallow boxes.
And applying a fresh coat of pettiness,
In a cycle to achieve...
An exposed nothingness believed correct,
And perfected!

Many are still straddling the fence.
Trying to make sense,
Of relentless nonsense.
Easily found...
And with an ignorance 'cloned',
In a desperation clowned.

Joking until the last door to them is closed...
Knocking only then with a seriousness,
To begin again on paths chosen to walk.
With intention and not pretense,
That came and stalked.
Decades ago...
When these movements of purpose,
Should and did then
Without cloak or daggered mystery to expose!

Self and Identity

It is never too late,
For one to discover self and identity.

However,
I do not believe they should expect,
Fanfare.
Especially from those,
Who have chosen this route to take...
Most of their lives without fearing to be themselves.

And many of them without the benefit of respect given,
From those still in masquerade.
And seeking approval...
For the worn out sterotypical images,
They find easy to address and adorn.
No matter how outdated the disgracing beratements.

I Still Do

Verse i
Im reading your dear john
It says youre moving on
You need your space, you need some time
And greener grass you seek to find
I saw it from afar
I knew it in my heart
The happiness had gone away
Pretended we would be ok
Hook
For every time youve made me cry
I gotta sit and wonder why
I love you, I still do
I need you, I always will
I want you to hold me tight
I need you with me tonight
I still do
Verse ii
Why do I hold on?
Why cant I be strong?
I know its time to walk away
But still inside I hope and pray
That youll return to me
My eyes too blind to see
That love should never bring me pain
I know I cant go on this way
Bridge
I gotta wipe away the tears
I gotta stand and face my fears
I gotta love myself enough to make it better
The woman that I used to be
I know shes still inside of me
Ill find a way to breathe again
This wont be how my story ends

Greener Pastures

Youre always tellin me to go out more
Go ahead, get out and see the world
But then I think, why should i
Id rather stay home and cry
I never thought that I could be the other
The other way like the other ones
Let me open wide, let you see inside
And then you might agree
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way to greener pastures and
Think about it, wont you think it over
Please
Without you I can move
I can stretch my arms out, I can feel it
And when Im in my room alone I feel good
Because I dont have to deal with you or the outside world
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way to greener pastures and
Think about it, wont you think it over
Please
I guess Ill get over it
Ooh - I guess Ill get over it
I guess Ill get over it
I guess Ill get over it
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Would you say they find me unstable
Cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Greener pastures
See me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures

The Journey

when you can look
in the mirror,
and see your self naked
without running like hell...

the journey begins!

when you can look
at your every action,
judging your self honestly
by motive and intent...

the journey begins!

when you can give away
all that you cling to
without asking for anything
in return...

the journey begins!

when you can do the right thing
irregardless of the cost,
not caring what anyone says
or thinks...

the journey begins!

when you can see the faces
of God in the people you
despise the most, the ones
who've hurt you the most...

the journey begins!

Missing Soul

To the ends of the earth
Where dreams are conjured
Where friendship is born
Through the planes where life begins
and death has no stay,
There I will find you,
There I will take you,
On a journey of a thousand lives
On a journey of new beginnings,
Of knitting souls and hugs,
Of endless kisses and love
To live with you through eternity,
To behold the beauty of friendship
that never dares to die.

B Yourself

Tides at rise, by high i am the stranded - To become unravelled, lost to the forest, voiced to be undone - Around the turn, flames bridge the fire, i will burn - No way back, the door no more, the gate holds the key in me - By day, i have the less to say - By night, fear is my cure, i still have to fight - Eight, i ate not by my fate - I slumber inside the sweet of dreams - Greener grass you can never find, by the fence, or the other side - Still you seek, rather be yourself -

The Greener Field Beyond Our Place

always, it is
it is always the case that the other side of the fence appears greener
and when you sit on the bench inside your house beside a window
looking into the other side
you wish you have a new pair of shoes
a hat and a pack bag
you dream upon a tomorrow where you can be there
with your brown dog

in the afternoon after a day inside your backyard
under the lemon tree
you change your mind
it is dark and your only wish is to stay
and spend the night
communing with the stars in the skies
gazing at your patio

Luck

I sought a four-leaved clover,—
The grass was gemmed with dew,—
I searched the meadow over
To find a four-leaved clover;
I was a lucky rover,—
You sought the charm-grass, too,
And seeking luck and clover
I found it—finding you.
