I'm back on track,
With renewed satisfaction.
I can say yesterday was okay...
But today,
I'm going to ride away!

I'm going to wave to the people,
Whether they wave back.
And I'm not going to wonder
Who smiles
Or frowns just to show me that!

Humming to the music on the radio,
And it ain't even the blues!
Cruising through the countryside,
And doing just exactly what I choose!
This boost has got me moving!

Decided I would take a drive,
To discover brand new places!
I needed this fresh breeze...
And an updated point of view!

There is no urgency to repeat,
Or retracing of my paces.
I'm doing this for me,
Like I should have done...
To free myself from you!

Goodbye yesterday!
Today tomorrow has begun.
The Sun is rising and the air is fresh.
And that hope for a better day has come!

To those views!

With sentiments carried to relive events...

Live For Today

Show me the road and I will find my own
and you build the bridges and I'll burn them down.
So far away and all alone I roam
I'm taking chances in the here and now.
And all you wonder is who's for sale
but you won't know now and I won't tell.
You're always hiding, throwing up your hands
while heroes ride again.
God only knows all the places I've been
but I love this life that I'm live'n in and
I won't look back to regret yesterday.
We're not handed tomorrow
so I'll live for today.
Another day and yet another's done,
spending the life living within the past.
I'll take the chance before the chance has gone.

Where is the opportunity
To let what 'was' go?
To know that today...
Has more purpose than yesterday.
Right now,

New Car

I go and get my new car today, boy I'm so excited
I chose it yesterday, I can't wait to be reunited
It's shiny and black with alloy wheels and a spoiler on the back.

I go and get my new car today, boy I just can't wait
I said I'd be back at four today, I don't want to be late
It's got leather trim on the inside and clips for a roof rack.

I know it runs well because I took it for a drive
It's got electric headlamps and the interior is black.

only thirty minutes left to go before that car is mine
It's fast and tricky to steer but I'll soon get the knack.

Money in the hands of fool is a farce!
Knowledge sans money makes one wise!
This fantastic life is romantic if you will!

All hustle and bustle are for satisfaction
That man strives all his life to achieve...!

First satisfaction in education is a must;
Then satisfaction in suitable job is needed;
Then satisfaction in life is very much needed!

Without satisfaction only frustration comes
Whatever one sees, hears and lives in the world!
So, what is important see first and achieve it
So that life can go on whatever be the situation is!

Back to my roots for friend Bob

The sun is setting on the sea.
It paints the restless waters red.
I sit alone solitary
and from my vantage point I see

The sky darken to indigo
I sit alone and watch night fall.
I choose to stay although I know
that duty calls and I should go.

Back to the harsh reality
I have to cope with every day.
The endless noise of the city.
With which I feel no empathy.

I must suppose I’ll always be
the country boy that I once was
But driven by necessity
I left my home reluctantly.

There was no future there for me
No way to earn my daily bread
Just endless grinding poverty.
A prospect which I chose to flee.

I was naïve and hopeful then.
I thought the city offered me
A better chance to start again
But sadly I was mistaken.

The hungry city swallowed me.
I found a job which paid my way.
A porter in a mortuary
The ultimate in irony.

I served the dead to stay alive.
But every hour that I was free.
I needed fresh air to survive.
I took my car and I would drive.

Out to the hill above the sea
to fill my lungs with fresh clean air.
And for a little while be free
from scents and sounds of the city.

I will retire very soon.
I think that I have earned the right.
To sit outside my door at noon
or if I choose to watch the moon.

I shall go back where I belong
Back to the open countryside.
Although I’m old I am still strong
I have no doubt I’ll get along.

Quite happily where I should be
I was not meant for city life.
I‘ll leave the city thankfully.
Retirement will set me free.

The Needed Breeze

Tenths of thousands may have eyes but cannot see, even from a closer perspective. Many a people may have ears but cannot hear. Some may have noses but cannot smell, hands but cannot feel. Hundreds may have legs but cannot walk a road. Some take a stroll in life because they are inneed of the needed breeze. A breeze which supplies the needed acumen for rapid transformation. A breeze which expects the unexpected. A breeze which rises as much as it falls. A breeze which thinks of the unthinkable. A breeze which turns misfits into assets, fictions into facts and clichés into indelible says. - Are you inneed of the needed breeze? Many may whisper 'yes' but it takes 'courage' to receive the breeze. Rise-Up...

That was yesterday
Someone asked me
If I had fallen astray in any particular way
I replied, ’ That was yesterday, not today’

Yesterday
I took the sunshine without making any hay

I allowed all my silver white teeth to decay

I partied and played each and every other day

I made friends and became the traitor who betrayed

I worked hard without getting my rightful pay

My Home

How do I find my way back?
I've strayed too far from home.
I've gone so many places
for so many days.
I've even been to Rome.

I have seen so many sights now.
It seems to me that somehow
that every place I've ever seen
were places in-between
from the place that is my home.

My search for brand new places
and all those other places
never filled the gap
as I crossed the map,
so far from my sweet home.

For I missed the landscape,
the place that I grew up in.
The old familiar faces
were not in the places I've been.
And now I must retrace my steps.

I've searched this world all over.
Too long I've been a rover.
I'll take a trip on back
for I'm on the wrong track.
I wonder what I'll find at my home?

Nothing seems the same now.
Familiarity has changed somehow,
except for the peace I feel around me.
'Cause in my memory I still can see
the place that is my home.
