Prove Critics Fools
No matter who does what,
Just do.
No matter who does what,
Just do.
No matter who does what,
Just do.
With a doing to be done...
To do.
And...
Deliver to the people to prove,
Critics fools.
Deliver to the people to prove,
Critics fools.
And deliver to the people to prove,
Critics fools.
Just deliver to the people to prove,
Critics fools.
No matter who does what,
Just do.
No matter who does what,
Just do.
No matter who does what,
Just do.
With a doing to be done...
To do.
With a doing to prove critics fools.

All The Critics Love U In New York
U can dance if U want 2
All the critics love U in New York
U don't have 2 keep the beat
They'll still think it's neat in New York
U can wear what U want 2
It doesn't matter in New York
U could cut off all your hair
I don't think they'd care in New York
All the critics love U in New York
Why U can play what U want 2
All the critics love U in New York
They won't say that U're naive
If U play what U believe in New York
Purple love-amour is all U're in it 4
But don't show it
The reason that U're cool
Is cuz U're from the old school and they know it
All the critics love U in New York
U can dance if U want 2
All the critics love U in New York

The critic
The status of critics has changed,
The most important critics were those who stood on street
corners
Full of gossip and finger wagging
Or the busty burly matrons whispering over washing lines
These critics were the slanderers
The little vipers who hung by the school gate
Some still do,
This time they sink a pint or two,
In the pub with a couple of pug nose friends
But there is a class of critics
That whitewash your pale white words
Austere and aloof from the proof,
Scrubbed clean and mean,
They murder sentiment
Mock fools without 'a scene'
Redefining the 'new' 'illiterattii, ' who never went to school'
These critics wear brogues.....? ?
Am I being cruel? [or just ironic? ]
The men drink whisky
The women a gin/ vodka and tonic!
Fifty years ago they would 'parade'
In a uniforn of tweed and plaid
Post public school
But some critics just thumbnail through
Half asleep over scripts they render dead/ unread
'They are not amused'
So don't lose any sleep
They have no time you

I've encountered a lot of people who sound like critics but very few who have substantive criticisms. There is a lot of skepticism, but it seems to be more a matter of inertia than it is of people having some real reason for thinking something else.

Facts Enacted
Very few 'doers' are without their critics.
And they may be relatives.
Or 'close' friends to suspect.
When one does things that are made public...
No matter who they are,
They will be scrutinized.
And flooded with advice and suggestions to test!
Very few 'doers' are without their critics.
Especially those who have expressed their concerns.
They are the ones often scandalized.
With a receiving of a 'burning'
For their good deeds in return.
And the evidence of that...
Becomes evident,
With the witnessing of those facts enacted.

It Does Not Matter #2
it does not matter- if you're getting old
it does not matter- if you're skin and bones
it does not matter-if you're old and gray
it does not matter-if you go or stay
it does not matter- what people say
it does not matter-living day to day
the only thing that matters, is that
you're alive today
and you'll fight whatever comes your way.
never give up on yourself
for you have no one else.
age is with us to contend
age is something that is not your friend.
it does not matter- if you had a good life
it does not matter- if you're contrite.
no one really knows the true life you've led
and if you deserve to be in a bed.
and if death is at your bedside
in' GOD' you must confide.
HE is the only one that knows what
you've been through.
so confession is what you have to do.
but! it does not matter
if you confess or not
for he has your graveplot.
so ask forgiveness for what you've done
to' GODS' only son.

Prove Your Love
Written by christine mcvie.
Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ooooooh...
I want to be, inside your heart
Thats place, the place for me
But I could understand, it wont be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Like I say it aint easy
To let your heart run wild
So if you want to please me baby
Then dont act like a child
But I can understand, it won t be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
It doesnt matter if youre far away
Or right here by my side
Thats the way I feel about it
We cant let the whole thing slide...
So if you cant see me
Right where you are
They why dont you send for me baby
By the nearest star
It wont be easy, and youve got to prove
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Ooooohhhh, oooooohh, ooooooh...

No No They Don't
No one can express concern,
To those who only associate themselves...
With disrespect.
No love can be shared,
With someone who perceives...
A weakness is there.
Expectations are not too high...
When low self esteem,
Is threatened by achieving mediocrity.
'You can 'trip' if you want to!
By showing fools you can do backflips!
To prove that's what you can do.
And expect them to be awed by it!
You can even scoop them fresh ice cream,
To soothe their 'mooding' too!
With lips dripping from an oozing positivity...
You believe will impress.
With an attention that captures,
To arrest an understanding...
You 'then' can address.
But people like these,
Don't give a damn...
About their own mamas.
You can 'trip' if you want to!
By showing fools you can do backflips!
To prove that's what you can do.
And expect them to be awed by it!
But people like these,
Don't give a damn...
About their own mamas.
No no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.
Oh no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.
No no they don't,
Give a damn about their mamas.'

Chatterbox
Many say they can deliver,
But only few can receive.
Lips flapping nonstop...
Don't believe!
Ears may be wide open,
But the brain is shut closed.
Ignorance exposed...
Is there to show!
People think they get their blessings,
By listening to a preacher.
Fidgeting and sitting,
While nothing's sinking in.
Schools may hire teachers,
To give lessons to the kids.
But nobody cares,
What's in these quick heads of kids.
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
And 'this' is apparent.
Absent parents on the scene,
Pretending caring done is...their 'thing'.
With chatterbox nonstop...
As if a corn popping machine.
And that caring's not there,
Anywhere to be seen.
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '
Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

Scrutinized For Their Blemishes
It is easy for many to sit back and critique,
With a judging done of those tasks...
Others produce with a doing to complete.
And if some people are prolific,
From experiences live that dictate this...
The critics are quick,
To stampede out from nowhere it seems...
With criticsms prepared,
Not to uplift or encourage...
But instead,
Demean.
But when given the opportunity to highlight their gifts,
Critics often spew excuses...
As those under microscope,
Are scrutinized for their blemishes.
Although,
Even those who enjoy themselves as critics...
Have moments they don't admit but wish,
An attention given to be critiqued...
Would validate a reason to rid their insecurities,
With a purpose in their minds that solidified their existence.

Fool For Love
Have you heard the sound of disappointment
It tears at you
Why didnt I realise that I could be conned by you
Taken for a fool
But as the light go down
Theres no one left around
What will you do
Now youve hurt me
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
Hear what Im saying its not what Im thinking
My head is like a chain of thoughts
Twisted in vain
When will you ever learn
That its always the hard way
Now that were through
Ive nothing left to prove
To convince you
To convince you
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
You never cared what happened
Now youre the one whos laughing
Fool for love
Those rumours were true I was your fool
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now
I wont let you stay
No matter what you say to me now

No Matter What
No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What they belive is true
No matter what they call us
How ever they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back
I can't deny what i belive
I can't be what i'm not
I know i love forever
I know no matter what
If only tears were laughter
If only night was day
If only prayers were answered
Then we would here god say
No matter what they tell you
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach you
What you believe is true
And i will keep you safe and strong
And sheltered from the storm
No matter where it's barren
Our dream is being born
No matter who they follow
No matter where the lead
No matter how they judge us
I'll be everyone you need
No matter if the sun don't shine
Or if the skies aren't blue
No matter why they ended
My life began with you
I can't deny what i believe
I can't be what i'm not
I know this love forever
That's all that matter's now
No matter what
No

Only To Nibble A Bit To Then Spit
It is not easy to deliver,
A betterment of one's best.
It becomes expected,
When a taste is created...
And that taste another accepts.
People get use to the familiar.
Although prior to it,
They had settled for the bland.
Until a spicing done to that blandness,
Made more of the spice...
Requested by demand.
It is not easy to deliver,
A betterment of one's best.
It becomes expected,
When a taste is created...
And that taste another accepts.
A rejection of what had been once presented,
Now is refused as mediocrity.
And a closer inspection becomes harsely critiqued.
Critics come out of the woodwork,
To exclaim their findings weak.
And those who plagiarize,
Take credit for their additions done.
But the one who sweats with an innovation...
Never receives a just due that comes!
It is not easy to deliver,
A betterment of one's best.
It becomes expected,
When a taste is created...
And that taste another accepts.
Only to nibble a bit to then spit,
That's it!
As if what is tasted is nothing but garbage.
Especially if a taste of it reminds one of the rest,
That has already bettered the betterment of one's best!

Some People Never Know
No one else will ever see
How much faith you have in me,
Only fools would disagree that its so,
Some people never know.
Like a fool Im faraway,
Evry night I hope and pray
Ill be coming home to stay and its so,
Some people never know.
Some people can sleep at nightime,
Believing that love is a lie.
Im only a preson like you, love,
And who in the world can be right
All the right time.
I know I was wrong, make me right, right.
Only love can stand the test,
Only you outshine the rest,
Only fools take the rest,
Only fools take second best, but its so,
Some people never know.

Is Everyone Ready For The Cuts?
Is everyone ready for the cuts?
'Yes.
The people are waiting.
That is what we have promised.
And we must deliver.'
Then I shall proceed.
'Ouch.
What are you doing? '
Beginning the cuts.
'Do 'them' not us.'
You do not understand.
We are the reason the cuts are needed.
'But,
That means...
We are the ones going to suffer.'
The people demand a government that works,
For the good of the country.
'What's the matter with you?
No one expects us to deliver that.
Come on!
Those were just campaign speeches.
We all made them.
We are here to celebrate our victory.
Get rid of a few social programs.
And that's it.
OUCH! !
Stop that.'
I am not a career politician.
After I slit a few throats around here,
I know I will be sent back home.

You Matter To Me
Look up, the sky is crying
Endless tears
Feels like my whole worlds dying
It hurts when youre not here
cause you matter to me and thats why
You still matter to me
And thats the only reason I need, to get by
You still matter to me, yes you do
I aint no good at talkin
So girl Im tellin you straight
My heart feels just like an orphan
I hope Im not too late
cause you matter to me and thats why (and thats why)
You still matter to me
And thats the only reason I need, to get by
You still matter to me, yes you do
If I could have just one wish
Id stand you in my place
Then youd know how much I miss you
Youll never be replaced
cause you matter to me and thats why (and thats why)
You still matter to me
And thats the only reason I need, to get by
You still matter to me, yes you do
You still matter to me
And thats the only reason I need, to get by
You still matter to me, yes you do
cause you matter to me, yes you do
And thats the only reason I need, to get by (get by)
cause you matter to me, aint no lie
And thats the only reason I need, to get by (get by)
cause you matter to me, yes you do
And thats the only reason I need, aint no lie

Protectors of 'Dim Wittery
Please...
Do not refer to them as fools.
That credits them with too much dignity.
Fools can be re-trained.
I've witnessed this.
Although slow the process.
Call them protectors of 'dim wittery'.
They will not understand,
And believe themselves complimented.
But at least they will feel a heightened significance.
Either way.
And of course...
We will still know them to be the idiots they are.
This has been their determination to prove it.
With an active recruitment campaign sustained.

With A Pity That You Want
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
To realize...
A pain you keep.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And your wants are weak.
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
Oh...
But you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want,
To show you're one of those...
With a pity that you want,
To show exposed.
With a pity that you want,
To be one of those!

No Matter
No matter what your resume might say
No matter your belief or to what GOD you pray
No matter the languages that you might speak
No matter the lessons that you might teach.
No matter the words that you might use
No matter your occupation or the work you do
No matter the schooling or the degrees you have
No matter the pot holes that's in your path.
No matter the places that you had lived
No matter the gifts that you did give
No matter your wealth whether your rich or poor
No matter if you speak quietly or speak with a roar.
No matter the clothes that you wear
No matter the color or the length of your hair
All that matters is your actions and your deeds
As they speak louder, and to them, man will heed.

Critics?
Critics?
They do what they do best...
Undress those who create.
It is easier for them to probe,
Than appreciate.
It is a frustration of sorts,
To be boxed within boundaries.
Not knowing or understanding...
What the force behind creativity means,
Or where it begins...
With perceptions taught and conceived.
They have an awareness of it.
Or so some believe.
Although a conformity upon them visits.
But to comprehend what it is...
And why some have it and they don't,
Really makes them pissed.
Although an 'intelligence'
Once applied can hide this.
Is that why they delight in being critics?
As creators sweat to expand their wits,
Critics enjoy deploying...
A complete misunderstanding of it!
As they assist others like themselves...
Attempting to expand minds of limited demands.
Hoping this attachment,
Delivers to them someone's attention span.
And they get it!
That is why there is so many critics.
