Prepared I Come
Whatever it is from You that I need...
Immerse me with it!
Surround me and I will totally submerge.
I am more ready than ever,
To receive Your direction and command.
I no longer demand to be heard...
With tempting self righteousness,
Served from a shallow ego.
And blurred by mental unrest.
Now that I know in silence You speak to me!
Each time I profess my devotion.
Whatever it is I need to do,
To keep us in sync!
God just let me know.
In devotion,
This motion of life I have flows.
And prepared I come...
To benefit from Your teachings.
Reaching deep inside me,
I touch more to uncover
And surface with that which I've learned.

Ready To Go Home
On the street below these walls
Where I used to walk
Now I can barely crawl
All this darkness rising tall
Lord shine a light for me
Im waiting to be called
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
Take this river to the sea
Where the delta flows
The tide is washing over me
Guide this soul to heavens door
Show me where tomorrow lies
Im waiting to be born
Im ready to lay down
Im ready now to sleep
A promise I must keep
Im ready to go home
So tired I lay down
With these memories
Breathe shallow deep inside of me
If time has run its course with me
Then
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
When the evening shadows fall
When the time has come
Ill let defences fall
To surrenders to survive
I will give up everything
To those I leave behind
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
Im ready to lay down
Im ready now to sleep
A promise I must keep

Out Of Sync
Shes out of sync
And everyone around her
Knows that something is wrong
Shes out of sync
Shes got all the symptoms
Of a girl who skipped a beat
Shes out of sync
A piece of ancient history
Shes a walking mirage
Shes out of sync
She entered through the exit
And never stopped to think
Shes out of sync shes a half step behind
Shes out of luck her body split from her mind
Shes out of orbit shell never connect
Shell run out of time before she accepts shes out of sync
Shes out of sync ---- (sync)
Shes out of sync ---- (sync)
Shes out of sync
And everybody senses
Theres a distance to keep
Shes out of sync
And totally committed
To living in a dark age
Shes out of sync
Shes constantly undoing
Whats already been done
Shes out of sync
Trapped in a silent movie
And shes on the brink
Shes out of focus
Shes a warp in time
Shes discontinued
A break in the line

Devotion
If I am right
If I can be
Constant and faithful
Youll find me
In my devotion
In my devotion
What if you find a fault
Between my purpose and my deeds
And deem me beyond salvation
Judge me to be unworthy
Of your devotion
Of your devotion
If this be obsession deliver me
A passing infatuation deliver me
A feeling lacking in purity deliver me
A test of fidelity deliver me
Deliver me
Deliver me
What if I should find
Youre no good for me
What if I cant be strong enough
What if I cant break free
Of my devotion
Of my devotion

Lay All Your Love On Me
(b. andersson / b. ulvaeus)
Laa...
I wasnt jealous before we met,
Now every woman I see is a potential threat.
And Im possessive, it isnt nice.
Youve heard me saying that smoking was my only vice.
But now it isnt true,
Now everything is new,
And all Ive learned has overturned.
I beg of you...
Dont go wasting your emotion,
Lay all your love on me.
(dont go sharing your devotion)
It was like shooting a sitting duck.
A little smalltalk, a smile, and baby I was stuck.
I still dont know what youve done with me;
A grown-up woman should never fall so easily.
I feel a kind of fear,
When I dont have you near.
Unsatisfied, I skip my pride,
I beg you dear...
Dont go wasting your emotion,
Lay all your love on me.
Dont go sharing your devotion,
Lay all your love on me.
Ive had a few little love affairs.
They didnt last very long and theyve been pretty scarce.
I used to think I was sensible,
It makes the truth even more incomprehensible.
cause everything is new,
And everything is you,
And all Ive learned has overturned.
What can I do?
Dont go wasting your emotion,
Lay all your love on me.
Dont go sharing your devotion,
Lay all your love on me
Dont go wasting your emotion,
Lay all your love on me.
Dont go sharing your devotion,
Lay all your love on me. (dont go)
Dont go wasting your emotion,
Lay all your love on me.
Dont go sharing your devotion...

Devotion
Maurice white & philip bailey
Thru devotion, blessed are the children
Praise the teacher, that brings true love to many
Your devotion, opens all lifes treasures
And deliverance, from the fruits of evil.
So our mission, to bring a melody,
Ringin voices sing sweet harmony
For you heres a song, to make your day brighter.
One that will last, you long thru troubled days.
Giving your heart the light to brighten.
All of the dark that falls in your way
You need devotion. bless the children
Deliverance from the fruits of evil
In everyones life, theres a need to be happy.
Let the sun shine, a smile your way.
Open your heart, feel a touch of devotion.
Maybe this song, will help uplift your day.
Make a better way
You need devotion

Tears On The Beach
Sitting on the sand gazing at the ocean
Not even a ripple, no type of motion.
It was like my heart, dormant as can be.
So still, so silent waiting patiently.
You said that you loved me
And another there can never be.
But you had a roving eye
Something I did not see.
How easy it is for you to turn on emotions
But to any one person, you have no devotion.
So I just sit here with heavy thoughts and heavy heart
Wondering how we must part.
Your outer beauty attracts people to you
Like a flower attracts a bee
But what you hide deep within
No one person can see.
How is it that love can be so beautiful
And yet so blind, that to recognize it
Takes quite some time.
So I sit here on the sand, with my heart
Held in my hand.
Looking to throw it into the ocean
In hopes that it can wash away the pain
And my utter devotion.
Goodbye is but one word
From a voice that was never heard.

Love Devotion & Surrender
Love, devotion surrender
Listen,
If youre tired of walkin around and getting nowhere,
I know, theres a path thats leading towards the master.
Chorus:
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender.
Oh, brother, listen to the rhythm of your heartbeat,
Its keeping time with all the universal children (chorus)
Sister, sing the song created for your brother
Louder, till the (your) heart embraces all the harmony (chorus)

I see danger
On the corner sent by me
Shadows the ways
Straight away you ran from me
I heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
I heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
I hear silence
I hear silence in my heart [house]
From a distance
Turn your back and run [hide] from me
Heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
Heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
When it happens
You will be no friend of mine
Take the first chance
When I am no longer free
Heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
Heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
In the future
When you want me in your heart
I wont be there [help you]
If you call out in the dark
Heard you calling
Yes, I heard you calling
Heard you calling
Oh yes I heard you, heard you, heard you, heard you calling
Can you hear me deep inside
From these feelings I cant hide
Can you hear me deep inside
From these feelings I cant hide
Oh, can you hear me deep inside
From these feelings I cant hide
Can you hear me calling you (4x)

Shes Got The Answer
(graham russell, michael sherwood, larry antonio, jimmy haun)
Shes the kind of girl that you need to touch
Follow through fire
She can take it all, always gives so much
And laughs til she cries
If shes far away I can feel her still
Soothing my soul
When shes here with me and Im not myself
She takes control
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement
Shes got the power
In comes the sunlight when all the flowers unfold
I know
Shes got the answer--shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
I am here for you, you are near to me
A mother or a child
Generations passing through you
Awake in the wild
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement, shes got the power
In comes the sunlight, and when all the flowers unfold
I know
Shes got the answer--shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement, shes got the power
In comes the sunlight, and when all the flowers unfold
Shes got the answer-- shes got the answer
Shes got the answer

I Will Touch You
(cagan)
I can count the teardrops hidden from your eyes
I can hear the sadness that your smile belies
Thought I heard a whisper
Did it come from you
If you say youre ready
I am ready too
I will touch you deep inside where love is
I will touch your sorrow and make it go away
I can hear the questions running through your mind
I can feel the answers very close behind
When your heart is ready
You will understand
When youre tired of crying
You will take my hand
I will touch you deep inside where love is
I will touch your sorrow and make it go away

Are You Ready?
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to climb another mountain
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to swim across the ocean
Are you ready?
Be prepared
To fill you plate
Be prepared
Dont hesitate
Be prepared
For a great big bust
Be prepared
To do what you must
Be prepared
To take a hit
Be prepared
To go for it
Be prepared
For a sneak attack
Be prepared
Just dont look back
They say, where theres a will theres a way
Weve heard, these are the things that they say
So.
Reach out for that big fat star
Stick to the groove
And go real far
Outrun the ones who steal the abar (? ? )
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to blast into the future
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to rearrange the picture
Are you ready?

That's Been Done
This time my time is mine.
It has been a long time since...
These days have commenced,
To be as I choose to live them.
And not emotionally committed...
To be where my devotion is misunderstood!
I had been conditioned to believe,
I had a life to live unselfishly.
And I did at the benefit...
Of my parents.
To find my mother totally giving.
And my dad a humorous wit.
They taught me early in life...
That a black man walking around,
With intelligence is not rare.
What is done with the gift is the challenge.
And I should live to dare the unknown.
Unafraid.
Although scared to death!
Some have chosen to poison themselves.
And have become very successful at it!
While others have selected to be between existences.
You know the type?
Unsatisfied with everything.
Participating in little...
But delivers demands with lofty expectations!
This time my time is mine.
It has been a long time since...
These days have commenced,
To be as I choose to live them.
And not emotionally committed...
To be where my devotion is misunderstood!
Not today!
That's been done.
Today...
Lawrence S. Pertillar can say,
'God?
However 'we' did it,
It has been done.
And I am grateful to know I'm blessed!
Caring less who thinks I am selfish.
Only You, My Father...
Only You,
Know what the real deal has been.
And I feel free not to stop and give explanations,
About the kind of life You have awarded me to live.
Not today!
That's been done.
And to Your satisfaction that leaves me happy! '

Hope in the Wheelbarrow
I've carried hope in a wish basket;
tossed coins in the wishing well;
and placed my dreams on doily-lined platters of expectations.
I have never abandoned hope to cynicism
nor have I seen devotion fade in my rear view mirror.
I done all these things
because I cannott
stall in forward motion
become vague inside myself
lost to time,
to my own direction,
All this is not nice.
There is no choice for me
but to hold hope close
and wheel barrel
on
smiling.

Question
Theres a lie that runs
Across the human race
Theres a truth that draws
A tear upon your face
A child is crying and it echoes
All over the world
If we try to find some
Deep communication
Bring an end to war
And start a new creation
From the truth inside
Its waiting, its waiting
Suddenly then
The clearest voice will call
Feeling the air
You have no choice at all
Can I ask the question to you
Do you know who you are
Do you know what were doing here
Try to see the way from within
cause it isnt outside
Let your honesty see it clear
Why does anger fit our hearts
With missconception
Turn us inside out in every direction
From the truth inside
Thats waiting, its waiting
Follow the voice
That lives inside your heart
Never the choice
That tears your world apart
Take a walk and be
A wave upon the ocean
Touch the sky and
Feel our spirit in motion
This is the love inside thats waiting
Just waiting
Suddenly everything is there to see
You can be everything you want to be
Are you ready to go my love
Are you ready to be my love
Are you ready to die for love

Love ever, Hate never
The first quality of a devotees form
Is Advesta Sarvabhutanam
According to Bhagwad Gita's saying-
It is -One who hates no being.
The Gita asks you to give up selfishness
As it comes in the way of oneness
It wants us to let go of expectations
And not make demands and impose restrictions.
We have devotion to the Lord—people profess
But conflict-ridden relationships, they seem to possess
Purely professing Love to God—is little devotion
But the ability to love all—is the kind equation.

Deepest Love The World Has Known
i've searched the fields the world over
searching for that four leaf clover.
thinking that this could fill my life
of the voids within my heart.
but the biggest void was from you
from the start.
a four leaf clover could never replace
when i fell from your grace.
i have learned from my sins.
and i'm hoping that i could get back in.
back into that beautiful heart
where i could make a brand new start
in your love i was like a fish in the sea
because your beauty 'totally surrounded me'.
in every direction that i swam.
i could always see, that your deep love
became a part of me.
my love has reached the bottom of the ocean floor
rose up and touched every shore.
i have swam the world over, and
never looking over my shoulder.
for my love is deeper and wider than the ocean itself.
it will reach heaven and it will touch hell
and if you were to see it, you could surely tell.
the deepest love the world has known
is the love, that i have shown.
not the height of the universe
or the depth of the ocean
could compare to my infinite love and devotion.
now! you ask me for who can this love be.
IT IS FOR CHRIST, FOR HE HAS SET ME FREE.

Walk Of Life
Here comes johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-bop-a-lua, baby what I say
Here comes johnny singing I gotta woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication devotion
Turning all the night time into the day
He do the song about the sweet lovin woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life
Here comes johnny and hell tell you the story
Hand me down mu walkin shoes
Here come johnny with the power and the glory
Backbeat the talkin blues
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication devotion
Turning all the night time into the day
He do the song about the sweet lovin woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life

Here comes johnny singing I gotta woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion

And after all the violence and double talk
Theres just a song in the trouble and the strife
You do the walk, you do the walk of life

Especially When I Ride or Drive
As long as God has the key,
To ignite my engine.
He, She or It...
Are allowed to drive it as They wish.
And until that time comes,
When the turning of my engine is off...
And it no longer runs.
I'll be inside this 'vehicle'.
Exploring with my own interpretation...
Those experiences that come.
Inspiring fresh and rewarding sensations,
I feel so blessed to have visit.
And with open arms,
I will be here to welcome every bit of it!
Free of false alarms.
You may present your obstacles...
But I am sure each one of them,
Will be dealt with as God sees fit!
Since My Creator does not accept,
A playing behind the wheel.
Especially when I ride or drive...
And He is right there by my side!
With equal appealing zest and zeal,
As I comfortably sit.
Observing with such a fulfilling enjoyment.
My life...
I do not take this gift for granted!
So do not get this confused...
With any misguided agenda to infuse,
Beliefs I wont see...
Blinded foolishness used on me.
My devotion to and faith in God,
Keeps me well prepared!
In a place I am fortunate to be and receive.
With my spirit guides knowing...
What is going on everywhere!
