Penny for My Thoughts?
Penny for my thoughts?
Those are ten dollars a pop now!
And IF you want me to make sense...
Add an extra 15 dollars for the effort.
Comprehension communicated?
Well...
If you hire me as your psychologist,
I'll have you believing you are admired.
And to keep you feeling that way,
For the rest of your life...
Is going to take a miracle!
And for miracles,
I will require complete devotion.
With a guaranteed commitment,
You will give me 75% of everything you own.
I will deliver you quicker than anything or anyone,
That has been teasing you with nonsense.
You pay to receive with no immediate relief!
Every Sunday morning...
You are down on your knees,
Being duped and pleading to be forgiven!
For sins you are going to pay for anyway.
I'll make you a deal...
And I will not mention satan and his disciples of evil,
If you promise me to keep your sins to yourself?
For you...
I can not play God!
You have made others who do too rich with pretentions.
I will tell you the truth!
And you will be freed of hell!
But...
For a price!
And I can not do a damn thing with pennies!

100,000 Pennies
I broke into the bank on Sunday,
You should see the money I got.
I couldn't drag it home 'til Monday,
'Cause it sure weighed an awful lot.
Then I sat down to count it,
And much to my surprise,
A whole lotta little brown, little round coins,
Rolled out before my eyes
Chorus:
I've got a hundred thousand dollars worth of pennies,
Not a solitary dollar or a dime,
And I don't believe there's many,
Rich men with a problem like mine.
And I don't think this is any
Kind of ending to a perfect crime.
I've got a hundred thousand dollars worth of pennies,
And I'm spendin' it a penny at a time!
Now a steak sure would taste delicious,
And I've forgot how a beer would feel,
But the man just might get suspicious,
If I gave him eight hundred pennies for a meal.
So I guess I'll just weigh myself again,
And buy me another stick of gum,
I've got a hundred thousand dollars worth of pennies, Lord!
And I'm livin' like a penniless bum!
Chorus:
I've got a hundred thousand dollars worth of pennies,
Not a solitary dollar or a dime,
And I don't believe there's many,
Rich men with a problem like mine.

After All These Years
Turn around.
Don't show me your back,
Give me eye contact.
Stop staring at the ground.
You wanted me to be honest.
And honesty I've given.
You wanted me to give love complete.
I'm here to deliver,
Both bitter and sweet.
Don't shut me out!
Let me in.
Help me to understand.
What have I said...
For you to lower and shake your head?
If I am wrong,
Tell me now.
Open up and communicate.
Don't be like that.
I want to comprehend.
Don't give me a cold shoulder.
Over something I'm sure,
Wont happen again.
Can you for once not be so stubborn?
What did I say to offend?
Turn around.
Don't show me your back,
Give me eye contact.
Stop staring at the ground.
I was teasing when I said,
Your head is like cement!
But don't give me the silent treatment.
Or reason to initiate another argument.
Anything but that silence!
That silence you can prevent.
'Okay! Okay...you win! '
Again!
For 'whatever' it was...
That started this 'nonsense' of yours,
To begin!
'Nonsense?
You spent my last twenty dollars,
On lottery tickets?
And you say that is 'NONSENSE? '
YEAH!
But I won a hundred dollars.
'Why did you not say that in the first place? '
Well...
You still have such a terrific behind.
And after all these years...
I took a moment or two,
Of my time to bide...and ponder!

Events To Come?
The roamers and vagabonds
still roam this land.
They migrate towards the cities
and hold out their hand.
A few pennies here,
A few nickles there,
A few dollars, maybe
but that's pretty rare.
Most are afraid of them.
They look the other way.
For seeing is believing
on every passing day.
And so the business suits move on.
To their cubicles they go.
They're intent on how the market's doing
and their portfolio.
'How much money will I make?
Will I lose my shirt? '
They never think that they just might
wind up in the dirt
with a few pennies here,
a few nickles there,
a few dollars, maybe
for the market's now a bear.
Move over roamers
and vagabonds too.
Now we need handouts
just the same as you.

Elected To Fix An Economic Crisis
What minds are behind,
The spending of billions of dollars...
For two people to hollar promises,
GUARANTEED to 'all'...
If elected to fix an economic crisis.
What nonsense advertised,
Is going to change the quality of lives...
Overnight?
Or increase a depleted reality that exists?
When what has been wasted,
Could eliminate the deficit with a quicker pace.
What idealistic dreams are kept,
That will deliver a feasting of greed...
For those already suffering from hunger,
AND homelessness?
With other needs dismissed that go unheeded.
And what deluded fantasies are left,
That have not yet been swept...
Away to fill the bulging pockets everyday,
Of those thieves teasing...
With their smiles and high profile deceptions.
Which elitist who represents...
Those supporting to have their special interests,
Protected regardless of who is elected...
Is going to have influence enough to convince,
Life as we know it needs an injection of sincerity meant...
Before a peace that could be easily reached dies upon the streets.

Forgiven, but not Forgotten
Sins are made to be forgiven but not forgotten
can be done by words or action
can be seen in citizens or normal children
In any status of life or position.
An ode for the sinners meaning an ode for us all
some may not know the consequences of sins
but that what completes us people
but i only know one thing, it gives pain.
All of us wish that it would vanish
But even though sins would be gone
the scars it will leave will still not perish
and still whats done is done.

To Believe A Lie
To tell a lie is a sin to us all
Is that so hard to understand,
But to believe that lie, it is a sin to GOD,
And for that you surely will be damned.
You will be cursed, upon this earth
For believing that or any untruth
And spreading that lie, which GOD would deny
Would be placing good food, with rotten fruit.
To believe a lie, I would just pity you
When you know that the truth is out there
But it is path you chose, on a saddened road
So I pity you, with a thought and a prayer.
When you tell one lie, from deep inside
Your soul it will rot and it will rebel
But when you believe that lie, and never ask why
You will be taking a second step closer into hell.
To tell a lie is an evil in its deed
But to believe it, it is that much worst
Your spreading the lying as you soul is dying
And upon you will placed a terrible curse.
To believe a lie and spread it as truth
Is to cause suffering and unwanted pain
You wont be worthy to live with GODs glory
And GOD will not know you by your name.
To tell a lie, it is a forgivable sin
We have read or heard that once before
But to believe a lie and spread it has truth
You will be knocking upon Hells door.
The sins that we commit or the evils we do
Can all be erased with the wave of a hand
GOD forgives all for the sins that we commit
But to spread a lie, you certainly will be damned.
When you come forward on our judgment day
And in front of GOD you and your sins will stand
Will you be forgiven for the sins, that's deep within
But to believe a lie you certainly will be damned.

Peter Gunn's Gun
by Michael Leonard, Bobby Weinstein & Jon Stroll
Throw a penny from the window, watch an old man play a song
On a twenty-dollar violin he bought before the war,
Though he screeches and he scratches and the notes are always wrong,
But he plays like he's in concert on the street outside my door.
Tunes to suit your fancy,
Are there any requests?
I'll play them for a penny,
(Play them penny music, play them for a penny)
And not a penny less.
He's the local virtuoso, it's his only way of life,
Plays ninety-seven overtures and goes home to his wife,
In the quiet of the evening while his frozen fingers bleed,
He counts pennies on a blanket to supply his meager need.
Tunes to suit your fancy,
Are there any requests?
I'll play them for a penny,
(Play them penny music, play them for a penny)
And not a penny less.
When there's frost upon the pumpkin in the weakness of the sun,
People stand there in the cold until his symphony is done,
In the early gray of morning, he's sure to come around,
You can hear him through the window when the pennies hit the ground.
Tunes to suit your fancy,
Are there any requests?
I'll play them for a penny,
(Play them penny music, play them for a penny)
And not a penny less.
They're playing penny music,
Playing penny music,
They're playing penny music,
Playing penny music,
Playing penny music.
fade out...

She's Playing Hell Trying To Get Me To Heaven
(Dean Dillon/Charles Quillen/David Wills)
I let it all hang out last night
Come in hung over this morning
My woman met me at the door
Preaching me this warning
She said "You're gonna have to change
Your sinful way of living"
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
Well I promised to go to church with her
About a month of Sundays ago
And here it is, it's Sunday again
And I ain't been once in a row
And everytime that old church bell rings
You can hear my rod and reel singing
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
'Cause there ain't no way
All my sins could be forgiven
There's only Ten Commandments
But I broke at least eleven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She went out and bought me
A Sunday go-meeting suit
And I must confess it looked pretty sharp
With my old hunting boots
But wore holes in both the knees
Trying to roll them sevens
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. John (Chapter 9)
Jesus saw a man, blind since birth;
His disciples asked Him, ‘Rabbi,
By whose sins was the man born blind-
His own sins or that of parents’? ’
So, Jesus answered them, ‘Neither.
It is so that the works of God
Be manifested through the man.
The day is meant for all to work;
The night is for slumber and rest.’
‘While in this world, I am the light.’
Then Jesus spat on ground near-by
And mixed the clay with saliva;
He smeared the clay over man’s eyes
And said, ’ Go wash in Siloam Pool! ’
The man did so and got vision.
The beggar was able to see!
The neighbors saw and then remarked,
‘Isn’t this the beggar who was blind? ’
The beggar replied, ‘Yes, I am! ’
They asked, ‘How were your eyes opened? ’
The man described the whole story.
They asked him, ‘Where is Jesus now?
The beggar said, ‘I do not know.’
They brought the man to Pharisees;
Now Jesus did the miracle,
On Sabbath day and all knew that.
The Pharisees queried the man;
They said, ‘This man is not from God!
He does not keep the Sabbath-day.
How can a sinful man do signs?
They asked the beggar’s opinion;
He told them, ‘He is a prophet! ’
The Jews summoned his parents then
And enquired about their son;
His parents said, ‘He was born blind.’
But they didn’t know how he saw then.
They neither knew the healer’s name;
They told them to ask the beggar.
His parents were afraid of Jews;
If anyone believed Jesus,
And acknowledged Him, Messiah,
They were expelled from synagogue.
They called the beggar once again,
And asked him to give praise to God,
For, Jesus was a sinner great!
The man replied, ‘I do not know
If Jesus is a sinner great;
One thing was true that I was blind
And Jesus helped to make me see, ’
They asked him for more details then;
The beggar lost his cool and said,
‘Do you wish to be disciples? ’
They ridiculed the beggar-man
And said, ‘We are Moses’ disciples!
We don’t know where Jesus is from? ’
The man answered them quite bravely,
‘Isn’t it amazing that although,
You do not know who Jesus is,
Yet, He had made me to see then? ’
‘God does not listen to sinners;
If one’s devout, God listens then.
So far no one had given sight
To man who was blind, since his birth.’
‘If Jesus did not come from God,
He wouldn’t do miracles like this.’
They told the man, ‘You’re born in sin;
So, do not try to preach to us.
They drove the beggar-man away!
Then Jesus heard of incident;
He found the beggar-man and asked,
‘Do you believe in Son of Man? ’
He queried, ‘Who is he, tell me
So that, I may believe in Him.’
Then Jesus said, ‘You have seen Him;
The one speaking to you is He! ’
The man believed and worshipped Him.
Then Jesus said, ‘I came in here,
Into this world for judgment just,
And make ones who couldn’t see, to see,
And those who see become so blind.’
Some Pharisees who heard him said,
‘Surely we’re blind, are we not then? ’
Jesus told them, ‘If you were blind,
You wouldn’t have sins, but as you see,
Your sin remains and you are blind! ’

Effort
It takes initiative.
Sometimes unrelenting...
To accomplish a task,
From the beginning to end.
And there are times,
What one has chosen to do...
May be too much loved,
To ever give up to walk away.
With motivation, purpose and direction,
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And initiative with sacrifice 'and' devotion...
May require dedication for the rest of one's life.
Depending on how deeply one is determined and affected.
No matter how easy or hard it may look,
From the outside looking in.
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And initiative with sacrifice 'and' devotion.
With that set in motion,
Few people could careless how they are perceived.
Knowing blood, sweat and many tears,
May never be subjected to leave.
Oh yes...
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And with that set in motion,
In the heart of one devoted...
Few doing this could careless,
How they are perceived by the rest.
It takes an effort that will be tested.

I Can Do Without
What can you give me?
My grandparents?
I doubt it.
My parents?
I'm sure you can not.
My son?
Forget it.
My friends who were murdered?
I can't discuss it.
Can you give me back my two ex-wives?
Or that love from them I 'thought' I had?
They gave that back to me.
Or my youth?
I just through that in,
Because I know that's impossible.
You can not give to me your integrity.
You have already shown you don't have that!
What can you give me?
For what price would I have to pay?
And...
I am not for sell.
You've already attempted to play me cheap.
And what you have sold to others,
I don't want to be a part of.
That's for them to keep.
And discreetly if they wish.
That's why I couldn't accept from you anything!
You have already shown...
That which you have to offer...
I can do without.
I seek nothing that is worthless to me.
I have had my rewards and prizes in my life.
And those that still remain treasured...
I make sure to them I keep that known!
Even if you bragged you had an extra million dollars,
To throw away to impress.
I would tell you to do that.
Since from you...
What you and I have had,
Has already been addressed.
And I know...
You can't give to me anything.

Wealth, in terms of dollars and so forth, could be counted up, because dollars were finite. It doesn't make any difference how many dollars you have-at a certain point you only have dollars. You start with finite, you end with finite.

Basically Speaking!
You cannot do a dirty job
Appearing always clean;
You cannot live in vice all life,
And have a virtuous soul!
You cannot wear just tattered clothes
To attend banquet feast;
You cannot be unsterile and
Perform clean surgery!
You cannot be a patriot,
And help the enemies;
You cannot live a life of sin
Awaiting miracles.
You cannot sin repeatedly,
Expect God’s forgiveness;
You cannot stay a Satan’s child,
And enter God’s Abode.
You cannot kill the innocent
Babe, growing in your womb;
For, murder is a crime and sin
Mortal, that God detests.
You cannot cut the thread of life
For anyone on earth;
The Creator is life-giver:
So, He alone can take!
You cannot break God’s Commandments
Willfully, by habit;
God will not forgive mortal sins,
Unless you change your life.
You cannot go against God’s laws,
And be in grace, sin-free;
You cannot be in mortal sins
And think God will forgive.
Adultery is mortal sin;
Prostitution is adultery;
Murder is mortal sin;
Feticide and abortion are murders in the womb.
Breaking any of the Ten Commandments
Of God is a mortal sin;
The price of sin is death;
The price of mortal sin
Is Eternal Damnation i.e. HELL!
A good Christian knows this too well.
Yet, Jesus paid a ‘bloody price’
And gave His life on cross;
‘Will you not give up sins and vice? ’,
The Savior asks of us.
The LENT is meant
For you and me
To reconcile with God;
Each LENT is lent,
By love of God
To lessen our just rod.

He asked me if I'd take a penny for my thoughts.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
and I told him the things on my mind.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
I had thought then I'd be paid in kind.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
and the closest friends we came to be.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
I thought then the one he cared for, was me.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
now rich with my thoughts he was.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
I thought his reason was more than 'just because'.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
he's made me rich with a broken heart.
A penny for your thoughts he asked,
now my life has a broken start.
Our Miracles
OUR MIRACLES
it is a miracle
when we wake up in the morning
with a smile to greet the morning sunrise
no matter our worries
and can end the day with a ray of hope
to bid goodbye to sunset
knowing that you have a great Provider
it is the miracle of life
you are not alone
you have the miracle of friendship,
love and working together
this is the greatest miracle
the miracle we take for granted
people who are humble,
who listen and forgive
looking at things and taking a fresh perspective
these are our miracles
the miracle of reconciliation
miracles happen everyday
you'll meet them everywhere
just look at the brighter side of life
and know that God is on your side
these are our miracles
the miracle of God's boundless and selfless love

Sins and pleasure
Pleasure of sins lures me to sin.
Sins of pleasure follow me in.
I sow sins to harvest pleasure
And sow pleasure to harvest sins.
Virtues might promise me pleasure
But it is sins that assure of it.
Sins are the food meant for senses.
Virtues are the food made of ego.
I do sins to derive pleasure
And then repent to cleanse my soul.
Virtues I stay with; sins I flirt with.

Good Friday...
Behold the wood that went to make the cross
That bore the Saviour Lord, King Jesus Christ:
The holy cross at Calvary on which
Was hung, the Redeemer of mankind race!
That man was only Son of God in flesh,
Who suffered, shed His precious blood as price
For every sin of everyone on earth,
Of Adam and of Eve in lineage!
It wasn’t about the cross that Jesus bore;
It was about the One who hung on it!
He came to earth as Mary’s baby boy,
And gave to men the Good News, peace and joy!
The cross of wood assumed significance
When Jesus died upon it for our sins;
The sacrifice supreme was love of God
For creature man of clay whom He had made!
When Christ resurrected upon third day,
And won o’er death and satan for all times,
The holy cross became the weapon sole
That scares away the devils back to hell!
The cross became the symbol of Christians,
Reminding man of Salvation for all,
As Christ had paid the price on our behalf,
And turned to be the Truth, Light, Way to God!
The holy cross beckons each one of us
To take up each one’s cross and follow Christ;
It is the only hope for all mankind
As life on earth becomes so meaningful!
God’s Love was born on Christmas day as Christ!
Man’s sins nailed Him to death upon the cross!
Christ’s obeisance to Father freed mankind
If repentant, from Fiery Pit of hell!
Reflect on passions Christ had undergone,
Before He died upon the holy cross;
Follow His teachings and precepts for man;
Heaven is nigh for sinners penitent!

Heaven To Gain
As I wake up each morning
And as I begin to start a new day
I wipe the night out of my eyes
And on my knees to GOD I pray.
I ask him to please watch over me,
And protect me from all evil and sin
As I know Its everywhere that I look
And its after all women and men.
I try to live my life the best I can
And I try to stay away from sin that's within
But that's the best offer made by any man
So I must pray over again, and again.
I think about what I had endeavored
Temptation and evil it is everywhere
From the things we do and the words we say
Its around the corner and it is in the air.
So I keep the promises that I do make
And also the vows that I do swear
If I break them or neglect them any
At my soul, sin and evil would tear.
And as I see the people everyday
Many don't care about things that should last
All they care about is what is for them now
And then later they try to forget their past.
So as I walk this one life's road
Like many have walked it before
The easy way is not always the best way,
If you know what the outcome that is in store.
So never do I want to do unto others
What sins unto me that has been done
As I know there is a Heaven for me to gain
And also a Hell for me to shun.

Devotion
If I am right
If I can be
Constant and faithful
Youll find me
In my devotion
In my devotion
What if you find a fault
Between my purpose and my deeds
And deem me beyond salvation
Judge me to be unworthy
Of your devotion
Of your devotion
If this be obsession deliver me
A passing infatuation deliver me
A feeling lacking in purity deliver me
A test of fidelity deliver me
Deliver me
Deliver me
What if I should find
Youre no good for me
What if I cant be strong enough
What if I cant break free
Of my devotion
Of my devotion

Osmosis between good and evil
Sins are forgotten by the sinners.
Sins are forgiven by the creator.
That is why heaven is not empty.
Sins are justified by the sinners.
Sins are allowed by the creator.
That is why hell too is not empty.
But from time to time
Osmosis takes place.
