Nowhere On the Scene

Jealousies.
Pettiness.
Greed and corruption.
Selfishness and self importance.

'Weren't these factions mentioned,
Years ago?
As a basis that would begin to unravel...
All that then which had been valued? '

Yes.
But it wasn't popular then to confess it publicly.
But today...
Who knew,
Pretentions kept would be devalued?
And those once regarded as misfits and mavericks,
Are nowhere on the scene voicing their opinions.

'Perhaps they have given up? '

No.
They have probably discovered,
A dead horse beatened...
Is one dead horse many are making attempts,
To revive to once again ride.

Ra Ra For Red Rocking Horse

Did you think you knew the game?
Did you think that fame and fortunes
All that I had in my head?
Bang youre dead
Its not a game Im gonna play with you
Did you think Im high and dry?
Did you think Id hide from the
Tentacles of the deaf dumb and blind
Their poison inks behind me
At the bottom of the sea
And your criticism doesnt worry me
And Ill sing
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Ride on over all remorse
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Who won the course
Despite the fact that
No one bet him
Get out
Did you think youd tie me up
Did you think that I would
Help but dance for your piece of paper
Theyll tame you and set you
To licking all the foes
Zap! pow!
Did you think that I dont feel
Did you think that Id simply heal up
After each ego beating
We cant go on meeting
This once in every year
And in the meantime if we all stand up
And cheer him up here
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Ride on over all remorse
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Who won the course
Despite the fact that
No one bet him
They all took their money out
And they laid it down, down
On the bright colored manes
They all took their money out
But they laid it down, down
On the different names to ours
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Ride on over all remorse
Ra ra for red rocking horse
Who won the course
Despite the fact that

Popular Scrips

If today
one is a galloping horse
to give you a fortune
tomorrow
the same may stand panting dead as an ass

as one sees a galloping scrip
we tend to feel
'ah i should have owned some of it'
strangely though
if you already own the scrip that is galloping
it is time for you to disown it
similarly strange it is
when tomorrow the same stands dead as an ass
you go all out to buy and own it

this aspect of the horse and the ass
in a popular scrip
the galloping and panting
of the popular scrips
keeps the market vibrant

Jingle Bells

(James Pierpont)
Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go, laughing all the way;
Bells on bob-tail ring, making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright, was seated by my side;
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot;
We ran into a drifted bank and there we got upset
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Instrumental
Oh, Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Oh, Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
In a one-horse open sleigh...

Outlaw Song

early one days morning
i came upon a fine young horse
i mounted up and led him onward
he was gray as the sky above
as the sky above
i slept down by the river
and what a sad dream i had
i'm afraid my love
it must be true
today i will go and leave you
today i will be gone
i awoke and was surrounded
nine of the law stood before me
askin me my name and business
demanding proof of me
demanding proof of me
proof of me
what do you want from me
would you have me your prisoner
no but you must give us that horse
you must give us that roan gray horse
listen he aint for sale
never for the law to ride
if that should happen none would be safe
even the birds
even the birds
would be afraid to fly
so they ask again what was my name they ask again what was my name
two were dead before they could move
two were dead before they could move
thats my name
thats my name
if you please
thats my name
thats my name
if you please

What is a Horse?

What is a horse?
A horse has eyes as dainty as a mink.
The grace is interrupted merely by a blink.
A horse is beauty.

What is a horse?
A horse is a tree in a storm that never goes down.
A horse is a weathered rock that stays around.
A horse is ancient.

What is a horse?
A horse waltzes like breeze over rivers.
She curvets and leaps like rain shivers.
A horse is a marionette.

What is a horse?
A horse is determination, that never stops flowing.
A horse is fondness, that never stops growing.
A horse is poetic power.

Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh.
You know I hate the cold
That's why I always go
Down south to drink some rum
On a island in the sun.
Theres nothing like St. Croix
With the palm trees swaying slow
Or being there on an open dock
When the New Year comes and goes.
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh, hey.
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way

I Ride My Horse

I feel the wind
I hear the birds
I ride my horse
As I sing words

I see the grass
I feel the leather
I ride my horse
Upon the heather

I taste the dust
I see the heat
I ride my horse
To his own beat

I feel the joy
I taste the fun
I ride my horse
Into the yellow sun

Stubbornly Affixed

An exhausted horse,
Began to show signs of weakness...
Years ago.
And those who rode it,
Ignored the signs.
They chose to ride it hard...
And its maintenance declined.

The horse slowed and faltered.
Keeled over and died.
Some got off and announced its death.
While others demanded...
A desire to continue their ride.

Many chose to debate the fate of the horse.
As others observed a replacement due.
Some refused to open their eyes...
And denied an immediate and effective rescue.
As a few stood by...
And blocked all attempts.

Even after the horse was buried...
Heated arguments still exist.
With some lamenting...
The return of leadership,
Decades long gone.
And many...
Who have passed these scenes viewed today...
Walk away amazed,
As to how some can stay fixed...
In their ignorant ways.

And stand they do...
Praising the dirt covered roads now paved.
With wishes they could live lives...
Back when their ancestors had plantations!
Back in 'the day'
In times when they all seem to thrive.
Surrounded by the dancing and the smiling done,
By happy and entertaining slaves!
With none refusing to obey.

And stubbornly affixed they are in their minds.
Disregarding the fact...
The year is two thousand and nine!
With a One World Order rule descending,
Upon them.
And a dead horse collecting dust...
With no one ever again to climb.
To show how much an attention given...
Will allow any of them again to shine!

Pathetic are these mindsets.

Based Upon The Quality Of Your Assumptions

Most of what you have mentioned to me,
I am not aware of at all.
It certainly conflicts,
With what I have come to understand.

'Surprised by that I am not.
You are amongst the many living a life,
Based upon the quality of your assumptions.
However...
I do acknowledge this.

Am I about to make attempts to convince you,
There are others ways you can validate...
Truth and its importance to achieve mental relief?
I could if I persisted,
By making to you recommendations.'

Oh?
Seriously?
No way!

'Way.'

How?
I've got to hear this.
I'm all ears.

'Well...
You could ask me directly first.
That's one way.
Or...
You could choose not to be so quick,
To repeat everything you hear...
Until you have gotten that information,
From the horse's mouth.'

You know...
I was told you say some crazy stuff.
Thanks for validating that.
I can't wait to tell others you told me,
That a horse knows more about you...
Than I already know!
Yep!
What I've heard about you is correct.
You are totally out of your mind.
You're nuts.

'I appreciate that.
And coming from you...
I regard that as a compliment.'

**You could choose not to be so quick,
To repeat everything you hear...
Until you have gotten that information,
From the horse's mouth.**
You don't know how hysterical you are.
Funny and sad at the same time.

'Trust me...
I do.
I know I have my issues.
But this too shall pass.'

Stop it. Stop it.
I am about to laugh in your face.

I Ride My Horse II

Sunlight...
I feel the sun
Warm on my skin
Shining on me
As I ride my horse

Wind…
I feel the wind
Combing my hair
Flowing past me
As I ride my horse

Sky…
I see the sky
Open above me
Calling to me
As I ride my horse

Grass…
I see the grass
All around me
Surrounding me
As I ride my horse

Red Rum

Red Rum was pounding the turf down at Aintree,
Going as fast as any horse can be,
Ginger was there looking on at the side,
And the whole of Liverpool, filled up with pride.

For the third time now, this great horse had won,
The greatest steeplechase under the sun,
At Aintree a Horse is more likely to die,
For the third time Red Rum, the odds did defy.

Around the world the bookies all suffered,
The betting fraternity knew they weren't buffered,
To lay off a bet when the Horse is a hero,
Is not easy, so most, were left with a zero.

The ordinary punter, who fancied a flutter,
Even, the tramp, who lived life in the gutter,
Joined with the housewife who bet the housekeeping,
On the horse with the heart which always kept beating
Because they all knew Red Rum would win through.

High Horse

Get up on your high horse, woman
Get up on your high horse now
And get up on your high horse, woman
I'll make it up to you somehow
Moonlit shadow, she starts a trippin' firelight
Jumpin' the trees lyin' across the right of way
Silvery mornin' it glistens down the valley
But she don't stop 'til we ride the night away
Get up on your high horse, woman
Get up on your high horse now
Get up on your high horse, woman
I'll make it up to you somehow
Blonde braids tangle at the misty break of mornin'
Catchin' light through a dusty window pane
Lost in lust, in denial of the warnin'
She digs her heels in this stallion's flank again
Get up on your high horse, woman
Get up on your high horse now
Get up on your high horse, woman
I'll make it up to you somehow
Get up on your high horse, woman
You paid the price, you get to play
Get up on your high horse, woman
You're gonna ride to the break of day
To the break of day
To the break of day
To the break of day
Get up on your high horse, woman
Get up on your high horse now
Get up on your high horse, woman
I'll make it up to you somehow
Get up on your high horse, woman
You paid the price, you get to play
Get up on your high horse, woman
You're gonna ride to the break of day

Wind Horse

Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, gentle Wind horse, you were the last of your kind.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you were running wild and free.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, with this freedom you did nothing but give;
When one called for help you carried them to safety,
No enemy did you have.

Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you gave your life one day
To a boy with no leg.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you gave him your endless love.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you now run in the Great Hunting Grounds;
Giving joy to those there, as you did here.

Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, your life was not the last gift
You gave the People.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you prayed for us, you wished a wish for us.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, we remember you through your brother Horse.

Wi: yo: h … It is good.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, we see you still.

A Horse Is A Horse

A horse is a horse and a man is a man
And neither can be the other
And each can survive but is much better
In the company of one another.
And while a horse is a horse and that is true
A horse is but a beast
As a cow is a cow, some ask how
On its flesh we should not feast?
For they do so in France as in other places
And I don't know how they can
For while a horse is a horse and is only a horse
It is less a cow than it is a man!

Wanted Dead Or Alive

Its all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems were wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
Id drive all night just to get back home
Chorus:
Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
Sometimes I sleep, sometimes its not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when youre all alone all you do is think
Chorus
I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back
I play for keeps, cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still Im standing tall
Ive seen a million faces an Ive rocked them all
Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Im a cowboy, I got the night on my side
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sonnet: Piggy-back Ride

Yes, children enjoy a piggy-back ride!
The father as horse and mother beside;
The thrilled little ones just simply enjoy,
And mock at the horse while laughing with joy.

Giddap! Giddap! They goad the horse faster;
Today, they are the jockey and the master!
And then the horse must dance well to their tune,
Slowly, gracefully and speed up too, soon.

Sometimes, the horse is just compelled to neigh!
Shaking its head for the entire day;
No doubt, the act gets troublesome indeed;
Until taken to the ‘stable’ to feed.

At times, children can the wildest horse tame!
But, condescension’s, the key to the game.

Rockin' Horse

Guy Allison, Keith Knudsen
EarthWalk Music (ASCAP) K-KUAD Music (ASCAP)
Take me back to an easy life,
Robin Hood and Marian,
A lone ranger on a silver horse.
Make believe in a box of sand,
Bang, bang, we all fall down.
Just about dinner time
I'm eatin' bullets. Come on Fury - take me for a ride.
Rocking Horse. Rocking Horse
Rocking Horse. Rocking Horse
Sun down with a chorus girl,
Ragtime and whiskey pour.
Midnight in a rented room
With a key inside the bedroom door.
Bang, bang, we all fall down.
Just about out of my mind.
Come on Lily. Come on honey - take me for a ride.
Rocking Horse. Rocking Horse
Rocking Horse. Rocking Horse
Last chance for an easy life
Double down and let it ride.
Lone ranger with a silver bullet
For the one arm man inside.
Bang, bang, we all fall down.
Just about run out of time.
Come on seven. Come on eleven - take me for a ride.

Mary's Gators

Mary had a little horse
the horse was just a pony,
the horse had hooves and balls of course
but ate no maccaroni.

She led the horse back to her flat
they took the elevator,
at night the horse slept on a mat
next to an alligator.

As you can tell, this lady had
a screw loose in her bonnet,
she wasn't altogether bad
that's why I write no sonnet.

A sonnet would be all too clear
and show hat she was mental,
but she was really such a dear,
we'll call it accidental.

The horse grew slowly, as they do
the gator did much faster,
one day, it did, out of the blue
it happened. A disaster.

The gator ate the horse at lunch
and had a pudding later.
Don't know for sure but have a hunch,
she bought another gator.
