To experience as much of it as possible.

When Things Change Lightning Quick
When things change lightning quick
and feelings, lives get a new direction
you are surrounded by change,
change that intrude into your life
and still when at a time you think things through,
even where you were caught in a thorny - wood
you see a new horizon, new stars shining
with growth coming from the delay

Wherever That 'Overthereness' May Be
Pray on knees for their answers to come.
And when they eventually arrive,
They become offended and wish to hide.
And in large numbers are many people like this.
On their knees...
Seeking.
Begged to have honesty and truth told to them.
And when spouses, family members and friends,
Give it to them without restrictions...
Feelings are hurt.
And all communication between them ends!
A pouting begins as if they are little children.
And those who have lived through this experience,
Do not hesitate at all to sever themselves quick...
From any hint of conflict reeking from immaturity.
And often very cordial,
Are those who have lived through this experience.
And less involved in others' affairs.
With a protectiveness of their happiness.

To Embellish A Nonexistence Has Adverse Effects
Ego fed insecurities,
Addicted to seeking acceptance...
Are protective of their delusions.
And easily offended,
By a truth that is to them directed.
It is more important for them to impress,
Than to honestly address their own issues.
Something blocked in their minds,
Will not allow them to do this.
And quick they are to misinterpret reality.
They believe reality is something to twist to fit,
A determined wish to see,
Life from their prespective.
And only a life lived to experience as is,
Can be received to accept to adjust...
Not correct to reject what is presented!
Ego fed insecurities,
Addicted to seeking acceptance...

Love in A Romantic Place
My heart is where I wanted to go
I was up but now feel low
This feeling I have will not last long
As long as I don't ever hear that song
I imagine olives trees close to the rugged coast
Sitting on my deck drinking coffee, having a slice of toast
The sun would be warm and devoid of mist and rain
These places I see will remove the pain
News has come my trip can be delayed
My heart feels empty, as if there was a raid
I need to go to see this new place
When I go, I will wear a different face
We are resilient, time has shown
We each own our hearts, the good times and bad, we own
I know this little town near the sea awaits me
On the Mediterranean is where I need to be
She waits for me there, so young and beautiful for sure
I know our time together, so romantic, is my cure
Friends tells us this to be our place
To be happy and free, to get out of the dating race
Such a romantic place, old structures and vines filled with color
A place where you are an artist instead of a scholar
The old sea vessels docked and revealing the age
Free to be untied to sail free, not remain in a cage
I have to leave, I can't bear this place no more
My clothes are in a suitcase, not in a drawer

Am I thankful and appreciative,

at shoe store she fits me
with two sizes over; it flops
and she would calmly ask
'does it fits you right sonny? '
'no mom, i feel like a duck'
'don't worry you'll outgrow it'
she's looking at colors i know
it's not brand name of a shoe
she's very particular on soles
one that won't leave black marks
she keeps floor speck and span
