Myths and Legends
Some people are saying...
They are afraid one day to wake up,
And not see an America they recognize!
Perhaps they do not realize this...
But they have been asleep for a very long time.
And an awakening occurring tomorrow,
For a return to yesterday...
Is not a recommendation.
Not for those already fantasized,
By myths and legends!

Perhaps If I Fantasized
Perhaps if I fantasized,
I'd find less time to be critical.
Perhaps if I adorned my eyes with blinders.
I wouldn't mind bumping against the decadence.
And convince myself.
What I've done is run into a flower,
That has grown releasing into the air.
Fresh floral scents.
And not the garbage that is there.
Perhaps if I fantasized,
I'd find more time to be surprised.
That I could actually do it!
With the covering of my eyes,
After a long tote on crack.
And believing myself to be a fire hydrant.
Soliciting strays dogs passing by to attract.
Perhaps if I fantasized.
Like many I would not recognize reality.

So Yesterday
you can change your life (if you wanna)
you can change your clothes(if you wanna)
if you change your mind
well thats the way it goes
but im gonna keep your jeans
and your old black hat ( cause i wanna)
they look good on me
your never gonna get them back
at least not today not today not today cause
if its over let it go and
come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
im just a bird thats already flown away
laugh it off let it go and
when you wake up it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
haven't you heard that im gonna be okay
(okay)
you can say you're bored (if u wanna)
you can act real tough (if u wanna)
you can say you're torn
but i've heard enough
(thank you) You've made my mind up for me
when you started to ignore me
do you seen a single tear
it isn't gonna happen here
at least not today not today not today
cause
if its over let it go and
come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
i'm just a bird thats already flown away
laugh it off
let it go and
when you wake up it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
haven't you heard that im gonna be okay
if you're over me i'm already over you
if it's all been done what is left to do
how can you hang up if the line is dead
if you wanna walk i'm a step ahead
if you're movin on i'm already gone
if the light is off then it isn't on
at least not today not today not today
cause
if its over let it go and
come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
i'm just a bird thats already flown away
laugh it off let it go and when you wake up
it will seem so yesterday so yesterday
haven't you heard...you're so yesterday
if its over let it go and
come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
i'm just a bird thats already flown away
laugh it off let it go and
when you wake up it will seem so yesterday
so yesterday
haven't you heard that i'm gonna be okay

Im Afraid Of Americans
Johnnys in america, low-techs at the
Wheel
No-one needs anyone, they dont even
Just pretend
Johnnys in america
Im afraid of americans
Im afraid of the world
Im afraid I cant help it
Im afraid I cant
Johnnys in america
Johnny wants a brain, johnny wants to
Suck on a coke
Johnny wants a woman, johnny wants
To think of a joke
Johnnys in america
Im afraid of americans
Im afraid of the world
Im afraid I cant help it
Im afraid I cant
Johnnys in america
Johnnys in america, johnny looks up at
The stars
Johnny combs his hair and johnny
Wants pussy and cars
Johnnys in america
Im afraid of americans
Im afraid of the world
Im afraid I cant help it
Im afraid I cant
Johnnys in america
God is an american
Im afraid of americans
Im afraid of the world
Im afraid I cant help it
Im afraid I cant
Im afraid of americans
Im afraid of the words
Im afraid I cant help it
Im afraid I cant

Even Those Paid to Be Biased
People are awakening to realize,
They've been played.
Even those paid to be biased,
To spy on others...
Find they've been set up,
To sit and quack like feathered ducks.
Eyes all over the place,
Are opening wide to see...
Exactly who those victims are.
And recognizing everyday,
The identity of the wolves.
And knowing they've been branded as sheep.
People are awakening to realize,
They've been played.
Even those paid to be biased,
To spy on others...
Find they've been set up,
To sit and quack like feathered ducks.
And the ones who tremble and shake in their limousines,
Find they feel desperate not to be revealed, caught or seen.
Afraid their deceiving and greedy days,
Rapidly lose in snob appeal and popularity.
And in their social circles they sweat, yes!
All of them are suffering in nervous regret!
People are awakening to realize,
They've been played.
Even those paid to be biased,
To spy on others...
Find they've been set up,
To sit and quack like feathered ducks.

Today - the Yesterday of Tomorrow
today is the yesterday
of tomorrow
today is also the tomorrow
of yesterday
yesterday was the today
of the then tomorrow
tomorrow which is the now today
is the tomorrow of yesterday
what is yesterday's yesterday?
what is the today of today?
what will be the tomorrow of tomorrow?
yesterday made today
today is creating tomorrow
the now today will be the
yesterday of the incoming tomorrow
and that tomorrow will become today
but tomorrow is yet unknown
for there is no today without yesterday
and no yesterday without today
but tomorrow will be unknown

Remember Yesterday
Can you tell me why
It seems so hard to carry on
When you hear a voice
From long ago, so bittersweet
Even though I try, I can not
Read between the lines
You know I tried,
Oh, yes, I tried, whats wrong
Too late to turn back time
To look over my shoulder
Maybe one day ill return again
Remember yesterday
And think about tomorrow
But you have to live today
Oh, lonely yesterday
Dont leave me with the sorrow
Cause I have to live today
Every morning I awake
To see the newborn day
To carry on the flame
Until the end of time
Too late to turn back time
To look over my shoulder
Maybe one day ill return again
Remember yesterday
And think about tomorrow
But you have to live today
Oh, lonely yesterday
Dont leave me with the sorrow
Cause I have to live today
Oh, oh, oh, dont you step aside
And pretend about the future
Oh, oh, oh, never live a lie
Dont you know tomorrow never comes
Remember yesterday
And think about tomorrow
But you have to live today
Oh, lonely yesterday
Dont leave me with the sorrow
Cause I have to live today
Oh, oh, oh, dont you step aside
And pretend about the future
Oh, oh, oh, never live a lie
Dont you know tomorrow never comes

All Those Things Happened Yesterday
Yesterday the sun came out
Warming the world, its people
We should be joyous for tomorrow
But all those things happened yesterday
Yesterday the shadows mixed with the wind
Giving us the beauty we deserve
We should be hopeful for tomorrow
But all those things happened yesterday
Yesterday we all came together
Giving everyone a helping hand
We should be happy for tomorrow
But all those things happened yesterday…
Yesterday our country gained so much
Providing us with a longer life to live
We should be grateful that there is a tomorrow
Tomorrow People
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Today you say you deyah
Tomorrow you say you're gone
But you're gone so long
If there is no love in your heart - so sorry
Then there is no hope for you - true, true
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
So you're in the air
But you still don't have a thing to spare
You're flying high
While we're on the low o-o-oh
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Tell me now
Tomorrow people, where is your past? No where
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Ten years!
Stop tellin' me the same story
Today you say you deyah
Tomorrow you say you're gone and you're not coming back
If there is no love in your heart oh now
There will never be hope for you
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Ten years!
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, come on
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, come on
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, no soon come
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, soon come
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, today is here
If you don't know your past, you don't know your future
Everyone
Don't know your past, don't know your future everyman
Don't know your past, don't know your future, come on
Don't know your past, don't know your future

How many

Tomorrow will (you) I wake up?
and instead of eyes we will be born with blindfolds
Tomorrow will you (I) wake up?
and from my mouth will flee a song
Tomorrow I will wake up
with this strange need of not to belong
Tomorrow I will wake up
just to copy whatever is wrong
Tomorrow I will wake up
in a cage of perfect gold

Voice Of America
(from the b-side of the single in the shape of a heart; peformed by jackson browne)
Little stevens version appears on his album of the same name.
Can you hear me? wake up!
Wheres the voice of america?
Somebody help me, we gotta stop a crime
I been betrayed by my own kind
I been quiet, too quiet
While across the borderline
We die
Can you hear me? wake up!
Wheres the voice of america?
I know that we knew right from wrong once upon a time
Everything we stood for has been compromised
I been quiet, too quiet
While across our borderline
My people lie
Can you hear me? wake up!
Wheres the voice of america?
Youre quiet, too quiet
Are you still alive
Inside
Can you hear me? wake up!
Were the voice of america
Were the voice of america
Were the voice of america
Were the voice of america

More Than That Tomorrow
Hey love don't be afraid to stay until tomorrow
Lover's dawn is waiting just this side of day
If you thought i loved you yesterday
I'll love you more than that tomorrow
Hey love don't be afraid to hear the songs of morning
Birds will sing them as they're calling up the day
If i sang to you yesterday
I'll sing more than that tomorrow
If it should happen that you come to me
In the night we share our hearts
Whatever it is that you done to me
Between you and me, can't be undone...
If i should understand just why i need you by me
Then i would know the reasons for the songs of morning
'Cause if i wanted you yesterday
And if in the night we shared our hearts
Whatever it is that you done to me
Between you and me, can't be undone...
Hey love don't be afraid to stay until tomorrow
Lover's dawn is waiting just this side of day
If you thought i loved you yesterday
I'll love you more than that tomorrow
If you thought i loved you yesterday
I'll love you more than that tomorrow

Absoluteless
tomorrow you might wake up in prison or
tomorrow you might have the most amazing orgasm of your life
or tomorrow you might be hit by a semi crossing the street or
tomorrow you might find out your significant other is cheating on you
or tomorrow you might win the lottery or
tomorrow you might get robbed & beat within an inch of your life while you are asleep
or tomorrow you might get hired to work your dream job or
tomorrow you might meet the match to blurt out all other romantic inquiries
or tomorrow you might find out you have a debilitating disease or
tomorrow you might get in a car that runs out of gas & have to walk all the way home
or tomorrow you might travel to your most sought out destination or
tomorrow you might finish your novel
or tomorrow you might win a marathon or
tomorrow you might have a heart attack
or tomorrow you might graduate with a doctorate degree or
tomorrow you might move to your favorite city
or tomorrow you might fall in love again or
tomorrow you might get a drug habit
or tomorrow you might get audited by the IRS or
tomorrow you might get sick of reading this piece
or tomorrow you might stop reading & curse the time spent
having done so.

Will You
See your sittin' next to the window in the bedroom
She breaks down, breaks down
Cryin' over somethin' and staring into nothing
Afraid now, hate now
Wanting, Needing, Haunting, its killing me
Thank you what has happened to live the life like that man
And I'll break down, its fake now
(chorus)
Will You, Will You love me tomorrow
So will you will you stay with me today
Fade in and out of reasons to fight the way shes feeling she breaks down, breaks down
Going through the motions and holding onto hopes and the dreams now, somehow
Shaken, Mistaken, Forsaken its killing me
Wishing you could change but things always been this way
If you leave now i'll drown
(chorus)
Will you , Will you love me tomorrow
So will you will you remember yesterday
Yesterday x4
This time im sorry x2
This time This time Im sorry
For This time, this time, this time Im sorry
This time im sorry
(chorus)
Will you, Will you love me tomorrow
So will you will you remember yesterday
Will you x6
So will you
Will you x6

Legends
A legend has emerged from the deep,
Instilling hatred for the time being,
The destruction of the times we call the floods
Carried new legends, for the old legends were dead.
The acts of a past guarantee success, fullness,
Words mean a noise of obvious strength.
The old legends speak authority,
But new have effects of the backbone
For the structure of society is never weak.
The depth of the myths surrounding this walk
Is the whole society, the entire humankind.

Tomorrow Is Forever
Take my hand and run with me out of the past called yesterday
and walk with me into the future on to tomorrow
Yesterday my sweetful life rolled again back no matter what
There is nothing left but memories that bring sorrows
Yesterday is gone but tomorrow is forever
No more cryin' and memories find their way back
Tomorrow's waiting let's journey there together
Yesterday is gone but tomorrow is forever
I care no for yesterday, I love you as you are today
We must forget the passing time
My love for you is the real kind of love that won't hurt you forever
Yesterday is over. tomorrow is forever

Tomorrow People
A time warp scene
A cy-fi story
A dirt coloured love
Hey hope for glory
I like to fight,
I kill global oppression
If I quit, no hope of redemption
Blue eyes crying in the rain
For how long
Tomorrow people
I laugh tomorrow gone
For how long
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow people
Well you know Im free on arrival
Left behind my babe, by guilt of survival
I dont know where Im runnin to
I lost my love, lost my hold,
I lost my heaven too
Blue eyes crying in the rain
For how long
Tomorrow people
I laugh tomorrow gone
For how long
Tomorrow people
Blue eyes crying in the rain
For how long
Tomorrow people
I laugh tomorrow gone
For how long, soon come
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow people
Yah come on loud
Now my life is truly misspent
I said
Im here to tell you, to tell you
That I wont repent
World war iii
Death pain
Its fate lets do it again
Tomorrow man
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow man
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow man
A time warp scene
A ci-fy story (tomorrow people)
A dirt coloured sky (tomorrow people)
New hope for glory
I like to fight
I kill global oppression
(tomorrow people)
When I quit, new hope for redemption
(tomorrow people)
Blue eyes crying in the rain
Tomorrow people
I laugh tomorrow gone
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow people
Tomorrow people

Wake Up
Wake up
Wake up
Wake up from your slumber
For strength belongs to
He who put himself together
Never look down
But carry your crown
Arise and shine
For at the end of every rain
Comes the sunshine
Yesterday and today
Are not the same
Today is sadness
Tomorrow comes happiness
It is not the fall
But how you rise again
Wake up from the pain
For time wasted
Can never be gained again
Wake up
Wake up
Wake up from your slumber

Tomorrow
Tomorrow it is
Tomorrow we will
See where the roads they lead
Tomorrow's my dream
Tomorrow's the better me
Tomorrow never may be
Looking inside tomorrow's head
Tomorrow pretends to be brain dead
Tomorrow wants me to long for him
I spend today seeing tomorrow's beam
Tomorrow is there
Yesterday's tomorrow is here
Yet tomorrow I seek
My lamp's got enough oil and wick
Tomorrow where are you?
I've seen today but I look out for tomorrow's dew
Not today, I'll take care of that tomorrow
Tomorrow I'm here, tomorrow you're today
From 5years old, I'm 50years old one more day
The hour-glass spins and sands they turn
The clock it ticks, the second-hand warns
Tomorrow is today gone
What have you done? .

My Depression
Yesterday I made you upset
Today I feel so ungrateful
Tomorrow I'll say I'm sorry
Yesterday I was alone
Today I analyse why
Tomorrow I'll try and forget
Yesterday I said nasty things
Today I cant remember a word
Tomorrow I'll make it up to you
Yesterday I had no energy
Today I'm told I'm lazy
Tomorrow I need to search for motivation
Yesterday I said goodbye
Today I walked out of your life
Tomorrow I'll just have happy memories

3 Days
Yesterday you were a friend
Yesterday you became a lover
Yesterday we couldn't pretend
Yesterday it was time to discover.
Today you didn't speak
Today you love someone
Today my chances seem bleak
Today I have been out done.
Tomorrow you're with him
Tomorrow I'm lying on the floor
Tomorrow my chances seem slim
Tomorrow im begging,
Don't go out that door.
