Who’s the fairest fair of all?

The Wall
I shall beat my head against the wall
Until the moment that I die.
Or until the wall does fall
Then beside it I will sit and cry.
Then on another wall I must beat my head,
Until I just cant stand the pain
Then you will understand what I have said
My loss; will be your gain.
And on that wall will be my blood
And there it will always stay,
Mixed with the stone it will be the mud
And like my pain it wont wash away.

Masons Children
Mason died on monday, we bricked him in the wall
All his children grew and grew, they aint never grown so tall before
They may never grow so tall again
We dug him up on tuesday, he hardly aged a day
Taught us all we ever knew, we aint never known so much before
We may never know so much again
The wall collapsed on wednesday, we chalked it up to fate
Masons children ran and flew, they aint never run so fast before

A dripping from a wall seems so like sweat.
So like the tears the occupants had wept.
The roof leaks to expose the sky.
And if eyes were dry...
They weren't for long.
Not if they were seeking answers to prayers.
To come to the door.
Or stand on dirt floors...
With the one thing wanted more!
And a pot that steams from the stove,
Smells of chicken...
Feathered and in rice.
As a limousine slows outside to come to a stop.
Stains from the floor are mopped.
Eyes pop.
Jaws drop!

The Wall
I've hit a wall that I have to climb,
a wall I have to scale.
It frightens me as I look at it
and yet I know without fail
that many have slowly ascended it
but not without some scratches.
Scratches are small reminders
that occur as you climb a little higher.
They bleed for a time and give you concern
and you rest because you tire.
The rest is healing, the time you need
to see the wall get smaller.
When you reach the top and feel the thrill
of how you kept on going,
the climb itself is exhilaration
and the satisfaction in knowing
that no wall is too high, too high to defy.
It's a wall where fear was growing.
Walls don't stand forever.
They can be taken down.
One brick at a time you dismantle it
and then look back around.
It's no longer there. It's behind you now.
You've ascended to higher ground.
