Mandatory Doses

Observe the splits and divisions,
For what they are.
There is a decadent mindset,
Fighting to survive.

Fighting to defend its offensive outlook.
And wishing more to uphold a deluded sense of self.
With plots to keep their realities fantasized.
Driven to smother truths...
And bring light to cast upon a darkened way of life.

This incites a quickened end to a standard of living,
In need of massive psychiatric care.
Inflicted...
In mandatory doses.

Too crazed are they to be consciously aware,
Of the madness they have fed to breed!
This cancer feeds and kills.
Leaving this question to go unfulfilled...
'Who now is qualified,
To identify pride with added substantial substance? '

It is obvious that those who speak of experience...
Lack the knowledge to pass good judgement.
Unless incompetence has been an achievement?
And much of that has been reflective,
Of an illness swept away and kept...
In perceptions of having discretion.

Too lost are they to become outraged!

These Elitists

They have concerned themselves,
More with the vote...
And not the folks.

A splitting done in Washington,
Between those conservative and liberal.

As people are living lives...
Trying to survive.
And caring less who is democratic,
Or republican!
And whose ego thrives!

While humanity lives in a suffering.
Through an economic downturn,
Procrastinators bring.
There is a quality of life rapidly evaporating.
And those in the know...
Realize this is not what they chose!

A fighting between those of selfish means...
Has some caring less who is being burned.
As long as they keep divisions seen and in vision...
With an outdated bickering...
To mask a secret thieving.
That progresses the magnitude,
Of a tremendous mess.

And what is really needed to diminish the status quo...
Is a massive psychiatric treatment that is bestowed.
And heeded to administer immediately.
Upon the minds of these elitists.
Crazed to represent days,
Long gone that even then made no sense.
Not if it led their followers,
To today's demented conflicts.

Why Those Battles Between Them Persist Without End

I am not one to analyze or bring to judgement,
The misdeeds done by those now dead.
Or correct with facts those deceits done,
To shed bright light upon that which has been said.
There is nothing in it for me,
To declare a victory.

However,
I am one to speak from my own experiences...
About those implications that were fed to devastate.
And reason and causes of those effects,
That have left divisions needing mending...
From an implementing by those dead,
To have those they disliked...
Tossing without sleep in their beds at night.

A healing from wrongs to make them right,
Has to take place to stop needless fights.
And what is there to gain to maintain conflicts?
By the ones living unable to comprehend...
Why those battles between them persist without end.

I am not one to analyze or bring to judgement,
The misdeeds done by those now dead.
Or correct with facts those deceits done,
To shed bright light upon that which has been said.
There is nothing in it for me,
To declare a victory.

'Why are you fighting?
And what purpose does it serve? '

~Because it's...
Because it is a,
Well...
Because! ~

And there is absolutely nothing in it for you,
To continue blindly doing those things you do...
Because of tradition?

What is your definition of that tradition?
And those living to defend it?
Why can't you respond for a meaning of it to mention.
Or know where to begin.
Since many traditions held today...
Have proven to make little if any sense!

To declare what is your tradition?
To maintain one's right to remain ignorant?

'Lower your weapons.
I'm just asking you a question.'

Fighting For Their Rights To Be Fools

There is nothing like conditional repetition.
In the doing of something that will never work.
And defying the advice given,
By those who are professional and certified as experts.

A conspiracy is generated to consciously impede.
To ensure something effective does not succeed.
But an intentional application of implemented ignorance...
Says much about a mindset,
Wishing to influence by the lack of experience.
Or pretense of common sense.

There is nothing like conditional repetition.
In the doing of something that will never work.
And defying the advice given,
By those who are professional and certified as experts.

And those who suffer aren't the ones chosen to do so!
They've already identified and decided those who are the jerks.
When it becomes obvious lives are threatened,
By those incompetent and rise in position to rule.

The evidence of this speaks for itself.
The ones protesting with the loudest of voices...
Prove themselves on a daily basis,
Who are the ones truly victimized.
And who are those fighting for their rights to be fools.

We All Come To Experience 'Our' Truths

We all come to experience 'our' truths.
We all come to experience,
Realities lived others may not accept.
Or come to believe,
If they are not there to witness.
Or see as they sit to observe life pass by,
From a closed window and behind locked doors.

We all experience our own sorrows...
With burdens to bear and struggles to conquer.
And yet there will be some among the 'doubters'...
Who believe nothing happens to anyone but themselves.
And when they experience a pinch of pain to feel,
It becomes worthy of a news broadcast...
To appeal with the getting of attention on their griefs.

We all come to experience 'our' truths.
We all come to experience,
Realities lived others may not accept.
Or come to believe,
If they are not there to witness.
And yet...
Highlighted are the most ridiculous afflictions,
Repeatedly for all to witness close up on TV sets.

The Dark Knight Comes Too Pass

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

From a mere boy
Being raised by the wolves
Living in the darkness for just too long
Something just went so wrong

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

Was it a death so desperately
Forever in misery
A loves tragedy
Is always so sad to see

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

The not so dead family
A murder held with in their arms
With no recourse
With no remorse

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

He's the alternate ending
As the light comes to pass
Shadows lurk
They shouldn't be disturbed
Let them rest in peace

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

Festered hate fills his eyes
As he is victimized
By those desecrated his loves ones grave
Becoming of the nightly terrors

The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

True Soldier

You're off in war
While the love of your life is here
Be sure to come back
Be sure to come back for her
Don't forget the sights of our U.S.A.
The freedoms along with every privilege
Every privilege
Every privilege

(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight

Our affection is w/ you along w/ our pride
Keep us alive
Keep us alive
the tattoo on your arm reminds you of death
And friends who have died
The friend who has died

(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight

Down on her knees your mom prays for you
She's begging the Lord to bring you home safe
Come home safe
Please come home safe
Fly in the sky w/ all of your crew
Don't close your eyes the enemy stays true
You know what they can do
You know what they can do

(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight

It Is Quite Clear Who Represents With Or Without Intent

No one suffers from standards met.
A regret comes from a lack of implementation,
Beset by those who have chosen,
Certain people be watched and kept...
Under surveillance!

As laws are changed,
To keep their own derangements...
Maintained.
For purposes that exposes an insanity.
A march is sustained to uphold their degradations.
And even this can not escape those observing...
Who wonder what excuses now can be used,
To hide this massive mental illness...
Infusing the last of limitating consciousness.

And it is obvious from where this deficiency,
Has its most defective efficiency!
Without any implications needed to be addressed.
It is quite clear who represents with or without intent...
The origin of this mess spreading to gain approval.
Leaving those of integrity with an honesty professed,
Feeling absolutely blessed and grateful,
To have obtained insight!
And a removal from a debated confusion that soothes.

There is no need to provide a devoted loyality,
To those who can not see...
Greed has driven them completely 'nuts'!

Barrow, arrow, marrow, crow, sparrow, narrow;
But, my name is HiFi.

Fighting for your care,
Fighting for your peace,
And like the Caribbean Spirit!

Expensive,

Abrasive,

For, i am with you always.

Driven By Delusion

Driven by delusion?
Where did you get that conclusion?

We heard that and chose it to ignore.
Since we know how we arrived.
And persistence did it.
Most times with the pedal pushed to the floor.
With a confidence to approach,
And knock on many doors.

Driven by delusion?

Delusion might have taken the credit.
But we did not sit in stifled reminiscing!
With champagne sipping on caviar dreams!
Are you kidding?
Not one of us tried to find that time.
If you knew how precious to us time means?

Driven by delusion?

We do admit there had been some wishes.
But all of us are aware of this...
A good work ethic could not be dismissed.
And delusion came along for the ride.
Delusion had nothing to do with our drive!
Not a thing to do with this...
Not one bit!

And,
Let me say this...
'IF' you believe any of this was driven by delusion,
You obviously have been fantasized by 'bling'
And not by substance.

Since substance requires one to take control,
With an experience to be behind the wheel!
And none of us has acquired a taste for substitutes.
To waste and use as an excuse.
Choosing to lead.
And not be the ones who followed.

'And,
Just 'who' are the 'we' you refer to? '

Oh...
Apologies!
I always refer to myself in third person!
Especially if the task 'appears' to be more than I can handle!
With 'that' on my mind.
And so far...
I've underestimated myself too often.

But 'never' my abilities!
You have no idea,
How they seem to have a mind of their own!

'I'm learning not to take anything for granted!
Not a single thing.'

Why are you backing away from me like that?

Holding On With Wishes To Experience This

Altrhough...
They're slipping with a gripping,
To a bottomless pit.
With an ignorance addicted unresisted.

And,
Holding on and wishing to experience it...
Are the ones who practice posing,
In a darkened abyss.
With a proving that an ignorance for them is bliss.

The people of today...
Are crazed with beliefs.
And refusing to release,
All delusions they've been feeding.

The people of today...
Are crazed with beliefs,
That the only life to live,
Is the one of deceit.

Holding on with wishes to experience this,
Darkened abyss...
With a proving that an ignorance for them is bliss.

Holding on with wishes to experience this,

Not Just A Refugee

I was forced to leave my homeland,
My children and my wife,
To find a safer place to live,
Ultimately to save my life.

My decision wasn't taken lightly,
So please try to be aware,
We only want security,
For you to show you care.

What you take for granted,
We are not allowed,
While we must say things quietly,
You can shout out loud.

You can walk for miles on end,
Without the need for fear,
What we'd give to do the same,
That's our reason for coming here.

You can choose where you want to go,
We don't have that choice,
All we want is liberty,
To be able to have a voice.

While you have a dream in life,
To be fabulously wealthy,
Where I come from our only aim,
Is trying to stay fit and healthy.

If you were beaten every day,
You'd say that can't be right,
That is why I had to move,
I'd lost the will to fight.

If you were told your life is ours,
You do not have a say,
Would you not do the same as me,
Get up and run away.

I want to work and pay my way,
Just the same as you,
All I ask for in return,
Is respect from just a few,

I don't want your handouts,
I'd much rather be employed,
That way I'll feel valued,
My life can be enjoyed.

So please don't treat me differently,
I do not look for favours,
What I seek is acceptance,
That's what our species savours.

I did what any human would,
In order to survive,
While I'm here there's always hope,
My family will survive.

Until you get to know me,
Please don't make a song and dance,
Just try to learn who I am,
All I ask for is a chance.

Before you make any judgement,
Please try to understand,
I come for your democracy,
Not to steal your land.

You're renowned for fighting injustice,
A cause you‘re fighting still,
I am doing just the same,
My mission I must fulfill.

That is why I came here,
On freedom you're renowned,
Help me through to be as you,
Then equality we'll have found.

I do not ask for sympathy,
Just a friendly ear,
To listen to my troubles,
You can help bring me some cheer.

I miss my wife and children too,
Most everyone's the same,
As humans we love our families,
They're worth much more than fame.

I pray one day we'll be as one,
Those wrongs will all be righted,
With your help I'll once again,
With my family be reunited.

Close your eyes for just a while,
When you open them you'll see,
I am like you, a Human Being,

‘' Not Just A Refugee ''

Getting More Difficult To Defend Within

A culture of violence,
Is getting more difficult to defend within.
As perceptions of a normalcy,
Once defined with an understanding...
Has made a growing madness not 'out' but 'in'.

People are shocked by what they see on the streets.
But become entertained on a daily basis,
By the most disgusting things freely seen...
In the comfort of their homes on wide screen TVs.
To be downloaded on iPhones and CDs.

People express shock by what their neighbors do,
But defend the offensive language that their children use.
And today in elementary schools few can tell the difference,
Between the teachers and the kids.
The issuing of condoms should 'not' be as obvious as it is.

People are shocked by what they see on the streets.
But become entertained on a daily basis,
By the most disgusting things freely seen...
In the comfort of their homes on wide screen TVs.
To be downloaded on iPhones and CDs.

A culture of violence,
Is getting more difficult to defend within.

Has made a growing madness not 'out' but 'in'.

Not a Sight For the Weak

An obsession that has addicted...
With traditions held thick,
With desires and things to aspire and climb...
Higher to obtain those symbolic dreams.
And a dripping of teases to attach and cling...
To a love for toys!
And entertainment needs.
Has descended upon the people...
A reality,
That brings an economy to its knees.

This greed has fed generations,
To depend on things to hoard.
Things to establish a standard lived...
For all to score luxurious rewards,
While those fighting in troubled wars...
Are the ones who should receive,
Such accolades and applause that greets.

Suffer they today from conflicts and sefishness.
Suffer today,
From an evil corruption taught.
Just to obtain a slice that pieces an ego to feel,
Accepted and complete.
A deceiving sought...
That depletes their pockets.

And this conformity to be like one's neighbor...
Has brought entire cities and states to the floor.
Slamming the doors where they labored.
To unite together in a massive state of denial!

Still this has them fantasized and deluded.
A demoralized society once revered now begs.
With hopes to prolong their decadent ways...
To keep!
In stubborn mindsets that dreads,
In fear to cause anguish and weeping.

Even though their pleas will not soon see them retreat,
From the glares they give to the homelessness...
Ignored and left,
Unaddressed as one would do to pests.
And yet,
This leaves a sea of stunned faces...
Bracing together in chilling air.
Standing in lines on streets they abandoned,
Back during the times they fled to flea 'minorities'.
When their eyes would dismiss,
Those helpless and hungry,
Those now prioritized...
To be the first to be served to eat!

And this upsets,
Those who were accustomed...
To sniffing their upturned noses,
As they passed those distressed.
While observing the changes,
Of what has come.
To have sit on their shoulders,
With bitterness to weight on bended backs.

And try hard to hide their pride and tears.
Reminiscing a greed...
With a reality close and now feared.
And much too near to their pretensions.
To express digressions obsessed with love.
Is not a sight for the weak.

They have chosen to standby their values!
And what they valued has them living their lives lived bleak.
With a hope that something recognizable returns...
For an evaluation to be given and kept on their terms.

But the motivating of negotiation days have been fading.
Long before they waited in impatience to debate.
In an openness that lifts voices screaming.
And faces tormented with mental illness...
That is too real, to fake or smother one's heartbreak.
This,
Is in the vision!

That Illness Is Obvious And Can Be Easily Cured

Perhaps in one's mind,
They would like to see things...
Remain the same,
Unchanged.

But the fact of the matter is...
From birth to childhood,
Nothing stays as it is!

And 'something' in the heads,
Of adults should click!
If Mother Nature sees to it,
That everything changes...
Why is anyone living to breathe air,
Upset with anything...
That is not permanently fixed?

Misunderstanding,
And a lack of comprehension...
Stays trapped inside of a mindset like that.

There is no sense in researching,
For the beginnings of confusion!
That illness is obvious and can be easily cured.
No one should be looking too far,
For the reason and cause of their problems!
That implementation was created,
For mankind 'alone' to ensure this endures!

What Sits Before Me

Fighting just to breath.
Fighting just to see.
Fighting just to be.

Through these clouds.
A divided shroud.
And my heart pounds.
So scared of what it'll take to be free.
A unpredictable destiny.
With fortunes at the hands of no one.
A unmeasurable mercy.
I'm begging you please.
I'm tired of being stuck in the middle of the angels killing fields.
And I can do nothing to stop it.
A topic I just can't drop.

Fighting just to breath.
Fighting just to see.
Fighting just to be.

A mere existence that by itself means nothing.
What is done with it is something.
As I reach the bottom of another bottle.
I realize I still feel so hollow.
An empty shell wishing for a escape from this hell.
Make a offer I'll take it.
Trading my soul to the devil.
Let the sickness take.
Let the rotten melody escape.

Fighting just to breath.
Fighting just to see.
Fighting just to be.

An unending cancer.
The saints are up there still dancing.
A party that is never ending.
Ignoring every part me.
Ignoring every sigh and scream.
Completely abandon.
I just can't take it.
I just can't take it any more.
Their has to be end to this monotonous slow death sentence.
I feel all options have fully explored.
I have the key but it is the wrong one.
Secrets must be unlocked by some one.
Is that suppose to be me?
A question that eats at me.
Everyday its repeated.
The evil has already been seeded and sown.

Fighting just to breath.
Fighting just to see.
Fighting just to be.

I can't understand it.
It is beyond my reason of the logical kind of thinking.
Mentally I thinking I'm breaking down.
A wheel that has been on the road for way to long.
The tread is already to far gone.
A darker then normal dawn.
A dead looking newborn fawn.
Skinny and underfed.
Not getting enough sleep.
With dreams of the yet to come.

The yet to come.
A godless world.
A concerning set circumstances sits before me.
I know what's wrong.
But no one will ever listen to such little voice.
Feeling like mouse making his squeaks.
While the lion roars.

This is why,
This is why I'm
Fighting just to breath.
Fighting just to see.
Fighting just to be.

Just to be my mere existence sits before me.

Sugar Plummed By Fairyisms

Hmmm...
Do I care that my comments may be offensive,
To those who may be of slow apprehension?

I've been called crude and rude and heartless,
By some.
Brilliant by others.
And stupid and dumb...
By those who qualify themselves,
As loved ones.

But...
Do I 'care' that my comments may be offensive?
That depends if I am in a forgiving mood to forget.
Since the recalling of my 'anguish' goes totally misunderstood,
By those whose lives have been fantasized...
And 'sugar plummed' by fairyisms.

I grew up in a tenement project.
A place we called the 'brickyard'.
But officially named Bellevue Square.
An experiment of sorts,
For those poor and Black!
Living in Hartford, Connecticut.

But I do the best I can,
To provide an accurate assessment of my outlook.
From my experiences and point of view.
Even though it is difficult to sweeten,
Those lingering memories.

Hmmm...
Do I care that my comments may be offensive?
Oh yes.
Especially when I become victimized,
Listening to them repeated...
And,
Coming from the mouths of those who believe I stay angry.
And I'm only angry on Tuesdays between 2: 30pm and five.
And on most Thursdays anytime before noon.

Combat-Ready Girl

I need a combat-ready girl
Who knows that the world
Is callous and cold,
Waiting to cut you down
Before giving you a chance
Or letting you dance.

She needs to be
A solitude queen,
Close friends
With loneliness
But with inner perseverance.

I want to defend someone
And be defended
From the raging stupidity
And insensitivity
Of heartless society!

True love
Is the unity
Of emotional soldiers,
Fighting for kisses,
Fighting for closeness,
Fighting for trust,
Fighting against all the odds
While sharing embraces
In the march
Toward eternity.

I need this unbreakable bond
Because lonely tears
Have the power
Of decimating bombs,
And one weary soldier
Will not survive
Those bombs alone.

Obligated to be Crazed

Obligated to be crazed!
It seems that way,
Where the people's minds are
These days.

Poisoned by foods processed and packaged.
Tainted by liquids,
Whether alcoholic or faucets tapped.
Chemicalized soft drinks and sugared cereals...
Leave our children hooked.
And parents left with empty pocketbooks.

Obligated to be crazed!
It seems that way,
Where the people's minds are
These days.

Those claiming to have faith,
Feel unsafe in their homes.
They call themselves 'christians'
But pack guns to protect themselves...
From lifestyles they have condoned!

They are the ones believing they have rights,
Of all kinds.
Even to self destruct...
In racial divisions,
They've been conditioned to keep up!

And like ducks following 'quacks'
To be led like sheep to dead ends!
These same folks provoke others in conflicts...
They inflict and then insist,
There are needs to defend.

Enlightenment for them,
Means to incite bitterness and not peace!
Blaming their standards and values have diminished.
And they would feel more secured,
By the hiring of more police on urban streets.

Obligated to be crazed!
It seems that way,
Where the people's minds are
These days.

But a self examination,
That has increased their degradation...
Is too obvious although not admitted.
That this is mindset praised.
Demented!
And obligated to be crazed.

Better Than Expected

I am feeling better than expected, on a journey I haven’t selected,
An unexpected journey in this life, that could bring pain and strife,
Not fully aware what it’s all about; I may even struggle with doubt,
Concerning The Lord’s faithful love, or God’s Power, from above.

I could question His power to heal, a sudden illness that is so real,
Or even question the reason why, this befell on to my family and I;
And for them what may lie ahead, regarding an illness many dread,
But this He allowed to happen to me, for He’s The God of Eternity.

Friend, this isn’t just another story, but, a real life, for God’s Glory,
Another chapter in my life, of the sustaining Grace of Jesus Christ,
More pages on God’s Grace to me, as we journey towards eternity,
While all I need, He will afford, through Jesus, my Savior and Lord.

In days ahead, my Lord will sustain, me through any trials and pain,
And Christ shall uphold all my family, in ways that we’ve yet to see;
What I will feel like, I don’t know, but God will help me when I’m low,
To trust in The Rock of Ages, as in this chapter, He turns the pages.

Whatever happens, I know for sure, I will be with Christ forevermore,
And my Lord shall forsake me not, whatever may be my present lot.
For every lot, cast within my life, is through the Will of Jesus Christ,
Who grants me an abiding peace, which from God, will never cease.

The Obvious

Wake me from this altered state
My future's looking brighter all the time
I'm stumbling and delirious
Something's changed since those teenage days
I'm growing into my own
I'm the talk of the town
Looking strange and I'll say it out loud
There's nothing left to hide
When duplicating the obvious
And it's nothing we decide
Like you, like me
Twist my words so they reed me wrong
The truth was neevr good enough for you
Is that the best you can do?
Talk me down look in my face
Look at you now, feeling like the clown
Next time you should think it over
There's nothing left to hide
Nothing left to hide
When duplicating the obvious
When duplicating the obvious
And it's nothing we decide
Liek you, like me
With no reason, you twist my words
'Cause you're helpless lost in a state of madness
In a state of madness
In a state of madness
Lost in a state of madness
In a state of madness
In a state of madness
Lost in a state of madness
In a state of madness
Lost in a state of madness
