Living Their Lives On A Part-Time Basis
There is nothing left one can express,
To a mindset tumbling in outer space...
About the importance of securing one's identity.
And how that connects,
To maintaining one's dignity with a keeping it in place.
Some living their lives on a part-time basis,
Would not understand a full-time commitment.
The thought of it would mean being held accountable.
With a facing of challenges without a single escape.
And without a safety net permitted to catch a heart that breaks.
How can anyone provide rescue,
To someone that argues the values...
Of surrounding themselves in total darkness.
As if to re-enact the living within a womb...
Frightened by the prospects of being shown the light.

Utter Space
I come from outer space at least I think I do
I need a change of pace thats why I walk with you
Its a change up-left-one-two
In outer space
Ive had a change of heart Im tired of being the best
I need another part to make an educated guess
And help me pass the test
In outer space
In outer space
In outer space
I come from outer space at least I think I do
I need another face I need one just like you
Its a change up-left-one-two

Defending My Right To Exist
Defending my right to exist...
Didn't leave too much time,
To feel insecurities.
Or get emotional about them.
I was always reminded that I wasn't who I was!
I looked like so and so,
And spoke like someone else.
And living in a place where nicknames were preferred,
It was rather difficult to maintain an identity.
Since being clownish and down to Earth,
Was a lesson taught.
And to be ignorant was the main objective.
Few people dared to express knowledge of anything.
Hey,
What can I say?
Even today...
This is not an exaggeration.
Needless to say,
Folks still living in that same mindset...
Seem not to be able to understand,
Why their visits to jails and prisons...
Are more frequent and have more of a priority,
Than when their 'children' were misbehaving in schools.
And teachers are blamed for this?
Defending my right to exist,
Didn't leave too much time,
To feel insecurities.
Or get emotional about them.
I was always reminded that I wasn't who I was!
However...
I was told I 'thought' I was better than everyone else,
Because I spoke as if I was 'intelligent'.
You know,
Clear and not like a...well...
Bunny rabbit!
And I had more than being a 'bad' little boy,
With going to jail on my mind.
I wanted to have my own identity for some reason.
With a wish to be successful at whatever I chose to do!
And there are those who try to convince others,
My accomplishments do not mean a thing!
And to them,
I wouldn't expect that they would.
Since I've lived to witness...
What many of them regard as important.
And hearing the children who brag,
About how much jail time they have served.

The Morning Has Not Yet Come
The morning has not yet come-
The darkness is still here-
And yet there is peace and quiet
And a space for thought -
The middle of the night too has its place-
So too the surrounding darkness
In a well- lit room-
Time and Memory also have their place-
All has its place in its time
And all does not when its time comes-
We live and we die
And we do not know why.

Borrowed Time
When I was younger
Living confusion and deep dispair
When I was younger ah hah
Living illusion of freedom and power
When I was younger
Full of ideas and broken dreams (my friend)
When I was younger ah hah
Everything simple but not so clear
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow
Now I am older
The more that I see the less that I know for sure
Now I am older ah hah
The future is brighter and now is the hour
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow
Good to be older
Would not exchange a single day or a year
Good to be older ah hah
Less complications everything clear
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow
Living on borrowed time
Without a thought for tomorrow

Living God
Living God
Maker of all the heaven and earth
We want to worship you
Living God
You are the prince of peace
The master of the universe
Living God
We are your children
We will never forget you
And you will never forget us either
Living God
We give all the glory to you
Living God
You take away our sins
Living God
We are not perfect like you
So I hope you understand this
Because we are human beings
And we have our faults also
Living God
You are worth to be praise
Living God
Take the place of all the power
Living God
Behold, it comes in might,
The power that is power,
The light that is in darkness,
The shade in dazzling light
It is joy that never spoke,
Living God

Single Father
Lately I've been spendin lots of time with my kid
Tellin him stories
About the things that we did
When we were a family
Long time ago
I've answered his questions
Till I'm blue in the face
Wish all that hurt in him
I could erase
But I tell him the truth
Cause he ain't too young to know
Single father
Part time mother
When I'm not one
Then I'm the other
You used to be
My full time lover
Now I'm a single father
And a part time mother
I spend every minute
I can with my boy
There's no doubt about it
He's my pride and joy
Someday he will grow up
And I wont have him no more
Some things I just find
Too hard to explain
So we go to McDonalds
Or I buy him a train
And we go put it together
On the living room floor
Such is the life
Of a single father
He says daddy explain
If its not too much bother
While its just you and me
Living here in this home
I don't understand it
And neither does he
Why there's just two
When there should be three of us
Sharing this moment
Lord I feel so alone
[repeat chorus]

A Granting Of An Escape
When does it become one's duty,
To be held accountable for their own actions?
When does that border between,
Allowing one to locate excuses...
Separates that from one's denying,
Of making habitual mistakes...
To find fault to place blame on others,
With a granting of an escape.
When does it become one's duty,
To be held accountable for their own actions?
When does that border between,
Allowing one to locate excuses...
Separates that from one's denying,
Of making habitual mistakes.
And when will people awaken,
To discover their dishonesty...
Offers their children,
No respect or identity.
Or a dignity they pride for the rest of their lives.
What will it take...
For those with pretentions to have them erased?
More hiding places?
Or the appearance of guilty looks,
Adorning their pitiful faces?

All The World
All the world's forgiving the change is all around
And people everywhere have seen the light in what they've found
It's a happy place in the human race
When all our lives are lived forgiving
All the world's for living when love is what you find
Despair and loneliness you've got to leave them far behind
Tell the clouds to go let the feeling show
It's great when life is full of living
Everyone's aware they know to change the world we've got to care
And people all should know should have happened long ago
Or could it be that I just now found out
Life is meant to share and it means the same thing everywhere
Living everyday, helping people on their way
Cause sometimes life gives everyone some doubts
Can I have time? Is it right what I feel?
At times I doubt what I normally know is real
But right now I don't know what to do
And it's all because of you
I could tell you if I knew that you'd believe
As slight and elusive as life sometimes is
Right or wrong as we both know we all can be
I could never have denied that I need you by my side
'Cause without you life don't seem that much to me
I can see an old man cry, it's his time to die
And life no longer gives him any breaks
He hasn't got a home, no one to call his own
Still he tells no one that it is more than he can take
When the time is so unkind, an empty future plays in your mind
When the darkness cries out to you, can you escape it?
What can you do?
All the world's forgetting the hate that filled our hearts
The times of selfish reasoning that keeps all apart
This world was meant to share, let them know you care
By making someone's life worth living
All the world's believing that this felling's got to stay
till all the world is living
till all the world is giving
till all the world is loving every day

From Which They Receive No Substance
How do I feel,
About the escalating disrespect...
Shown to me?
And the pride I have taken,
In priding my identity?
That is a very good question.
And I am glad you asked it of me.
First and foremost...
I am not the one to be traumatized,
By an awakening...
To realize my entire existence,
Has been a hoax!
And that is why I stride with a dignity.
Everything about me that 'appears'?
Is what it is!
And my consciousness,
Has never been sold to be stripped away from it.
Everything about me that 'appears'?
Is what it is!
Others may be here to make excuses for themselves.
And...
Out of mind and feeling out of place to escape from fates.
So unfortunate are the ones who have been 'hoaxed' to live...
Their lives they do not value.
And support themselves...
On a faith that is replaced on a daily basis,
From which they receive no substance.

Hollow Life
Feeding the fall
I can't help but desire of falling down this time
Deep in this hole am I making
I can't escape
Falling all this time
We come to this place
Falling through time
Living a hollow life
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs
Hollow life
Fearing to fall
And still the ground below me calls
Falling down this time
Ripping apart all these things I have tried to stop
Falling down this time
We come to this place
Falling through time
Living a hollow life
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs
Hollow life
Is there ever any wonder
Why we look to the sky
Search space
Asking why?
All alone
where is God?
Looking down
We don't know
We fall in space
We can't look down
Death may come
Peace I have found
What to say
Am I alive?
Am I asleep
Or have I died?
(Haunting me)
We fall in space
We can't look down
Death may come
Peace I have found
(Something takes a part of me)
What to say
Am I alive?
Am I asleep
We fall down
We come to this place
Falling through time
Living a hollow life
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs
Hollow life

I Want The Universe
Depressed and taken by stress,
The woes of infinite space are understood;
This space continues to guide the heart
And all those hearts of a blessed variety.
Chiefs shall consider chemicals for their bodies,
Astronauts keep biological experiments.
The defeated reign over the victorious,
And clear universes stand alongside ours.
Then be cautious if you consider woes
To be the confusion in the midst of alien attack.
Absurd and breakable, the space-man
Connects us with living-space,
The ever-living cosmos,
The significant place
For entrances
And exits.

Where to Bathe and What to Eat!
Some choose to mask their insecurities,
By use of excuses and insults...
To reduce feelings of insignificance.
As if this shallowness exposed,
Replaces the obvious imposed.
Those of strength are labelled arrogant.
Those of identity are often tagged nonconformists.
And on the other hand those living their lives,
On a daily basis...
Doing what they can to survive.
Could care less whose ego thrives,
Seeking to be massaged...
By another round of bravura.
Pampered in the approval of lies!
There are folks living on our streets,
Trying to figure out how to shelter themselves.
Where to bathe and what to eat!
Those of strength are labelled arrogant.
Those of identity are often tagged nonconformists.
There are folks living on our streets,
Trying to figure out how to shelter themselves.
Where to bathe and what to eat!
And on the other hand those living their lives,
On a daily basis...
Doing what they can to survive.
Could care less whose ego thrives,
Seeking to be massaged by another round of bravura.
Pampered in the approval of lies!
Just to nibble on sweetened pretentions.
To share from a vacuous hollowness!
And at someone else's expense.
There are folks living on our streets,
Trying to figure out how to shelter themselves.
Where to bathe and what to eat!
While those who scurry about with their lifted up noses...
Seek a place to close a door anywhere.
With anyone who agrees...
They are still able to indentify their sanity!
It may not be the accepted 'sanity'!
But at least they are supportive of one another!
There are folks living on our streets,
Trying to figure out how to shelter themselves.
Where to bathe and what to eat!
And people who are marketing decadence,
Stuff their diseased guts...
With delusions of grandeur.
OR something they hold,
To make them feel better than someone lese.
There are folks living on our streets,
Trying to figure out how to shelter themselves.
Where to bathe and what to eat!
Caring less about their bad credit.
Or who refused them a loan,
Based upon nothing in collateral shown.
Since once valued pretentions have lost their asset.

The Afterlife of Death
Why should mankind not face
the thought of afterlife?
For half the world or so,
there is no great concern:
in time you just come round again
to improve upon your last performance –like
an athlete, daily training round the track
which if it’s so, then, perhaps, how sad
that we are not aware just how we’ve done this time,
compared with how we did last time -
it might be quite a spur!
of course, if heaven’s way beyond
all boundaries of time and space
we can surrender with relief
our picture of our tone-deaf self
learning to play the.. harp..?
or engaging in those activities
(outside time and space?)
which Islam seems to promise…
but if the whole Creation, as it’s said,
is all one single act of love,
then let’s imagine death, or afterlife
a part of that same divine love:
for if, as every religion expresses in its way,
our god is love – then how can death
not be a part of that same love?
so (as those who have nearly died, aver)
there stand to welcome us, all the family
and friends that we have ever known and loved;
but with this difference: that seen
with all the vision of that total love
we understand all our, and their, apparent differences
and see this from that heart of total love..
and if it’s so, that once again
we have to re-enter earth’s burning atmosphere
born into another life that we’ve now earned,
our first cry and tear and heavenly smile
may tell all
And if perhaps this seems all fantasy – then,
perhaps, if all is love,
love’s sleep, love’s dream, and love’s awakening –
and also, this, my fantasy of love in death,
may all be samely, simply, love.

The Light In The Darkness
Shades of darkness obstruct my view,
What once seemed old is once again new.
I thought I was in the light for a while
There is someone with me in the darkness
In his word I can almost hear him smile
I am trapped in a Hell that I created myself
It's too late to escape
Or blame anyone else
Yet somewhere I see light peeking down at me
But the darkness is so vast
Surrounding me
Escape seems like a dream long past
My decisions of old may be my last.
The tiny ray of light seems so strong
It makes me wonder
Do I have the strength to move on?

Got To Let It Go
All my life-time plans,
I got em in my hands.
Balancing my fate upon a wire.
Got to let it go.
Everywhere I turn I see
Theres nowhere left to go.
All my dreams are far,
Too much for me to hold.
Still I hate to drop them,
Werent they from you?
What did I do?
You are the one that can see,
Into the heart of me.
Am I really giving up tomorrow?
Got, got, got to let it go.
This is gonna hurt a little,
Still its right I know.
Got to let it --
Even though I fear
Too much of me might show,
I cant wait any longer for it,
Ive had enough!
Ill give it up!
Lord, heres my heart,
Ive been keeping it from you,
And I got to let it go.
Holding on just breaks me, worry,
Got to let it go,
Come and take it from me, hurry,
Got to let it go.
Go to let it -- got to let it go.
Got to give up all of my control!
Holding on too tight,
Where do I lose sight?
Wheres the lamb that seems to bring frustration,
Go to let it go.
The best of dreams can turn to nightmares,
When my heart takes hold.
How long must I learn?
This lessons getting old,
Ive got to catch a clearer vision,
Im in your hands!
Youre in command!
Lord, heres my heart (heres my heart, heres my heart)
Ive been keeping it (keeping it, keeping it) from you!
And I got to let it go.
Holding on just breaks me, worry,
Got to let it go.
Come and take it from me, hurry,
Got to let it go.
Oh, Ive got to let it go.
Got to give up all of my control!
Lord, heres my heart (heres my heart, heres my heart)
Ive been keeping it (keeping it, keeping it) from you!
And I got to let it go.
Holding on just breaks me, worry,

A Candlestick
darkness sets in our place
and from time to time
we lurk without having
to do anything about it
we wait to a distress
we live in distress
we embrace the darkness
tonight i have decided
to light a candlestick
there shall be no cursing
of darkness no living in
the hopelessness of
its useless embrace
i sit watching its light
and start to scribble some
lines for my poetry about
the triumph of light over
the harshness of darkness.
somehow in the middle of
darkness that we find so hard
to explain and live with
we still have something to
do, to tell, and make a difference
from among those who simply
sleep and snore and then
let go with their lives dying
without having to know
what and where meaning lies.

Best Wishes
Those are the best wishes given to me,
An acculturation takes place for the sight;
Difficulty and dignity are rapid and dirty,
One is a craftsman, a crayon to be bought bright.
By candlelight we bite the food of cosey people,
Diplomacy is the subject, the topic of war,
My time is shared by those in war even able,
This is them, the able ones who collapse from afar.
Let the wish of an accent be charred like a single act,
Adaptable men shall forgive me for themselves;
Behaviour is that of an ability to enact,
To enact is strangely to disperse before he delves.

T-t-p
Oh, oh, oh, t-t-p
Oh, oh, oh, t-t-p
Somebody tell me
Why do people stay in situations thatll never work
Thinkin bout you wanna leave and
You cant wait to get even
When deep inside it really hurts
I never should have gotten in the mix
You never understand till you go through it
All the rights things you say
Wrong things to do
While youre out tryna pick and choose
You should be lookin for a ttp
Now that I know the difference
Thats all Im tryna be with
Somebody that keeps it all in together now
Im living better
Since I found my total package
You should be lookin for a ttp
Now that I know the difference
Thats all Im tryna be with
Somebody that keeps it all in together now
Im living better
Since I found my total package
I used to be young and dumb
And always wanted to run in the streets
Cause I thought that was where it was at
But it wasnt all it did was leave a brother in the cold
With nowhere to go
I caught myself slippin
Thinkin I was the lick, I was trippin
Tried to jump dip to dip
I thought it was a way to be happy
Until somebody took time to tell me
You should be lookin for a ttp
Now that I know the difference
Thats all Im tryna be with
Somebody that keeps it all in together now
Im living better
Since I found my total package
You should be lookin for a ttp
Now that I know the difference
Thats all Im tryna be with
Somebody that keeps it all in together now
Im living better
Since I found my total package
So many people think
They got it - but they dont have a clue
You gotta have more than just a body
For me to be talkin about you oh
Take it from me when playin the game youre day will come
When you gotta stop and start lookin for the world
(breakdown)
You should be lookin for a ttp
Now that I know the difference
Thats all Im tryna be with
Somebody that keeps it all in together now
Im living better
Since I found my total package

Time and space
Time and space
Decide each happening
Significant or otherwise
Let us look back
Events all through our lives
You would agree
Events and things
That had an impact on us or otherwise
Happened just because of this
Meeting point of time and space
Each one of us
Came on to this earth
Because of the time and space synchronizing
At a time when millions of sperms
Were on a race to meet one single egg
Time and space only made the
Fertilization and development
Thus at the time of your conception
There was a probability of a meagre
One part per millions
With much greater possibilities
Of someone else being conceived
Extending this, you will agree
A thing to fructify or
An event to occur
The probability is quite low
If not a part per million
A part per thousands
You can be sure that
A thing or event will not
Evolve or occur without the role of
Time and space
Be also sure that
There is no point to blame others or
Curse yourselves
For your unaccomplished desires
But, understand that
Time is unripe and
Space is unoccupied
And that is why
Dreams do not fructify
Despite all your efforts
Skillful advancement
Towards goal
Keep trying
With all your knowledge and skills
With the focus on your goals
And aspirations
But, wait
Let there come about
The appropriate conjugation of
Time and space

Slime Creatures From Outer Space
Things just havent been the same
Since the flying saucer came
Now the aliens are on the loose
Well, we tried to hold em back
Tried to ward off their attack
But our atom bombs were just no use
They were ugly, they were mean
Biggest heads I ever seen
They made everybody scream and shout
First they leveled tokyo
Then new york was next to go
Boy I really wish theyd cut it out
They wasted everybody on my block
There goes the neighborhood
Theyll zap you with their death ray eyes
And blow you up real good
Run for your lives
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theyre not very nice to the human race
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theres more comin every day
And they just wont go away
Now theyre reproducing in the sewers
They got slimy lizard skin
And an evil lookin grin
And they sure could use some manicures
They got hands all covered with fungus
They got eyes like some kinda bug
I sure hope they dont come in here
I just shampooed the rug
Run for your lives
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theyre really makin a mess of this place.
(slime creatures)
(slime creatures)
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theyll rip your head off just for fun
Theyll paralyze your mind
Theyre wearin out their welcome
I dont think I like their kind
Theyll suck your brain out through a straw
You just cant trust those guys
So hide the children, lock the doors
And always watch the skies
Look out, here come the
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theyre an intergalactic disgrace
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
I wish theyd just get outta my face
(slime creatures from outer space)
(slime creatures from outer space)
Theyre makin a big fat mess of this place
(slime creatures)
(slime creatures)
Oh, where did they come from?
What do they want from us?
Who do they think they are?
(slime creatures, slime creatures)
Why dont they leave me alone?
(slime creatures, slime creatures.)
Theyre really getting on my nerves
