Life Is a Growth Process

What would you like for me to say?
I feel your pain?
Or...
Forgive me,
I'm feeling my own right now.
Would you like a rain check?

There is nothing super human about me.
I can express empathy and unhappiness.
And in the past you have gotten that.
But to neglect myself,
To be there for someone else...
Has been done successfully.
With a lot of ungratefulness shown in exchange.

Remember when I was there holding you?
My own tears fell like rain and out of your view.

The only thing to you I hopefully can explain,
Is this...
What you are going through,
One day will heal and your life will improve.

And how best that gets done...
Only you will know it with maturity that comes.

Life is a growth process.
Full of lonely and unshared experiences to address.
And without assistence you will recognize this...
Affecting your decisions made,
On many of those heartfelt occasions.
And that will not for you be rare.
As long as you deeply for someone else care.

Words Cause Pain

Rain drops are falling on my head
rain rain rain
it's just hiding the tears on my face
rain rain rain
why can't it hide the pain?
rain rain rain
for God sake go away and come back another day
every dropp that falls on my body hurts
what hurts more are does words that people say
sometime i just wish they just take it all away
words hurts! its causes pain! !
but people don't care
they don't care about the pain that you're feeling
having you feeling down on yourself, makes you said and cry
what they don't know is those words could make someone wants to die
next thing you know, have some one commiting suicide
this all could happen over words that people say
makes you build up this pain that you cant control
that pain that will never make you whole
it will tear you apart
rip your heart apart
those are words that'll bring tears
words that cause fears
rain rain rain
please stop!
let the sun come out
so that the world could see my pain.

Laughter In The Rain.

We use to have it,
Long long time ago.
We use to reach for it.
But now it’s no more.
It was our pride,
Having laughter in the rain,
With nothing to hide,
We made it plain.
How stunning it was laughing in the rain.
Laugh like a drain,
Like a baby with no stain.
Yes!
I felt like a child
Felt it like a lady that is not wild.
Having laughter in the rain with you,
Hand in hand walking on the street with you.
In all times you hold me tight.
To make me feel alright.
Laughter always in my mouth.
`Cause you always with me no matter what.

How stunning,
Having laughter in the rain.
No cunning,
We made every thing plain.
Sit on the couch laughing and laughing
Laughing and laughing.
To ease the pain.
Having laughter in the rain.

Laughter in the rain,
Sadness of our pain.
It was a pleasure.
It is a treasure.
And I am sure
It is nothing you will not want to measure.

Our laughter in the rain.
The many tears we cried over and over again.
It is something maybe good.
Everyone thought we could,
Take it to the next level if we would.
I remember thousand of the droplet tears
The holding and cuddling to take off the fears.
Titter to make us laugh.
Titillate me to get me down.
Laughter in the rain.
Took away our pain.
But now it is no more.
We lost it long time ago.
It was our pride.
It was with us every time we ride
Laughter in the rain.

Live And Let Live

You been holding back
And I know you're afraid to feel
Some one hurt you long ago
And the wounds just did not heal
You never shed a tear
You had to keep control
So the wounds kept spreading
Until they got down in your soul
Don't you think it's time
Time to forgive
Leave the past behind
Live and let live
Been holding onto anger
Now it's got a hold on you
And bitterness keeps growing
Affecting everything you do
Time to break the chains
You could slip them off today
It's time to make some changes
Before your whole life slips away
Don't you think it's time
Time to forgive
Leave the past behind
Live and let live
Don't you think it's time
Time to forgive
Leave the past behind
Live and let live
Don't you think it's time

Rain Tears

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Melding in torrential fears:
Chill of cloud; saddened eye-
In either way, a latent cry.

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Married under sceptic jeers:
‘They'll never last.' Methinks not true, for
Either way, forever blue.

Rain, tears, rain, tears,
Simple love with lacy cares,
Their intercourse will ne'er refrain
From rain and tears and tears and rain.

Rain, Sweet Rain

Rain falling in tears skies can't hold
They are heavy, and fast and cold,
Yet so precious that its fall's mold
Can become the nest of a new life's fold

So inconstant you may think it is alive,
For it can destroy or let thrive,
For it can be loved or despised,
For it can be benevolent or be mised

And it is so human, the rain,
(Although it is most inhuman thing around)
That when the human bears big pain
Eyes got inspiration found
In no more no less than rain,
For tears imitate the very rain-like stain

And will be a day of sorrow,
When stars have rain as borrow,
And then we won't say again:
'Here comes rain, sweet rain'

Through This Slow Involving Process

I've known of sacrifice and limitation,
Most of my life.
I've observed those with wealth,
Drive through my neighborhood.
With noses turned up,
And windows closed tight.

I've walked amongst the rich downtown,
Holding their heads down as I passed.
Or sniff their noses as if I smelled of trash.
They wanted me to notice,
How insignificant they wanted me to feel.
Beneath them.

I never thought I would see a day...
Shine so brightly as these days today.
Times change and forgiveness occurs.
A growth process takes place.
A radiance of faith and hope,
Sparkles within the eyes of so many.

I'm not too quick to forget,
Someone spitting in my face.
Or being disgraced by unfaithful mates.
Or having my name slandered...
All over the place,
By those delighting in character assassinations.
But...
I'm 'trying' to forgive!

However...
I 'am' reminded,
The process of higher consciousness has begun taking affect.
And since I've been 'accused' of being intelligent...
What has happened in my past I 'should' forget!
As if I live my life emotionless.
Empty and free of a feeling to feel!

'Oh do I have some news for some folks.
I am not provoked without storing that away,
In my memory file entitled, 'Things To Address'

But I express my feelings like this...
Seriously.
'I am 'still' a work-in-progress!
And I am doing my very best...
Not to feel sheer joy and happiness,
When someone gets a 'payback'...
Received from a time when they did not mind,
Causing me much duress, anger and bitterness to digest.
And from this...
I am hoping to heal.
Through this slow involving process,
Without expressing too much laughter! '

God 'Is' so good all the time...
Aint He?

Memorable Cries of Mine

We cry
When we are in pain
Pain can be physiological
Pain can be psychological
As the intensity of
Physiological pain abates
It is likely
The cry associated with it
Dies down
At a rate similar to the
Rate of abatement of pain
As we mature
We develop the tact of
Bearing a pain
Practically not crying over it

Psychological hurt
Stays long
As an emotional scar
And has the power to
Make you cry
And shed tears
Even after a long pause

As kids and in the total care of parents
We would have cried
To attract attention
And get things done
In our favour and the way we want
As we start understanding the realities
Of a practical world
We stop crying
But grumble within

A tearful cry is
An emotional outburst
Of a pain or a stir within
Most often
Cries get dry
As we plan ourselves
To act
To heal the hurt or pain
With a high level of maturity
We hardly see ourselves crying

Two cries of mine
Will stay ever in my memory
One, when I was in the total care of my parents
This cry is special to me
As I had no reason to cry
My mom, serving us food,
In that late evening,
Was in a mood to sing
Definitely, she should have sung
So well bringing out excellently the modulations
Associated with that tune or raga
Probably I was listening to her so intently
That my emotions got stirred deeply
And I started crying
Tears rolling down
My mom was able to read my mind
Continued singing
Despite one listener’s sobbing
Would have probably thought
The song would soothe me
It did something in me
Was it a feeling of helplessness
Was it ecstasy of being to able enjoy a unique emotion
I was not sure what made my cry
It was a long cry
And lasted
Even after she finished the song

The second cry occurred
When I was in a foreign soil
The task before me and my wife
Was to take away our grandson
From his parents
And keep him with us
Till the time they return to our land
This was a long drawn process
As we prepared ourselves very carefully
To the new responsibility of
Rearing the just two year old
Matching his temperament and unique needs
The day of departure came
All, except the kid
Were in a frame of mind
That allowed us not to exchange the usual pleasantries
As the time to depart approaching
I suddenly realized
That I would not be in a position to
Stand the pain of the kid
Who is getting separated from his parents
The emotional outburst came out
As I saw myself crying
Tears swelling, running down, wetting the T-shirt
My wife, daughter and son-in-law made attempts
To console me
But nothing helped
It took sometime for me to get over the pain
And to be confident
Of accepting the pain

This does not mean
I had no occasions earlier or in between to cry
I would have cried as many times as
Others of my age would have
But these two occasions were special to me
As in the first one
I had no definite reason for crying
And in the second
I felt so helpless that I would not be able to help even a kid

There Is No Heart That Wont Heal

So youre thinking that its over
Cause he said goodbye
Left you with nothing
But the tears in your eyes
You dont know how youre gonna get through this pain
But the rain wont claim your days forever
Chorus
There is no heart that wont heal
There is no tear that wont dry
No matter how lost you feel
Remember there is a light on the other side
There is no night that wont end
No sun that wont shine again
Therell be an end to this hurt that you feel
There is no heart that wont heal
Love can lift you to the heavens
But it can let you down
And the fall aint always easy
I know what youre feeling right now
But in time you wont find a trace of this pain
You get rainbows from rain just remember
Chorus
There is no heart that wont heal
There is no heart that wont heal
There is no heart that wont heal
Hold on gotta be strong

Is What You Do Done to Impress?

Do what you like.
Do it with devotion.
Perfecting what is done...
With heartfelt emotion.
Unknown to anyone.
Keep focused and honest.
Maintain your integrity.
Defend your creation with dignity.
Never become offended,
By lack of compliment!
Remember...
You are doing what it is you like.
Whether or not your good deeds are accepted...
Why should you care...?

Who ties your shoes?
Or brushes your teeth?
Who has to get from point A to B?
Whether openly or discreet!

Is what you do done to impress?
Or...
Address who it is that you are?
And this is shown to whomever you meet!

You can confuse this if you wish.
You will not be alone!

And if you do what you like,
Since that is who you are.
And all your life this has been expressed.
Regardless of who or what brought you times of unhappiness.
Establish who you are.
It is a priceless feeling...
To know oneself.
And not to be compromised with that to comprehend.

When The Rain Comes

Youve come to me again my friend. Ive been waiting so long.
Life seems strange and hard sometimes, maybe I wont make it this time.
Oh theyve taken all I have, but I just need whats left of today, and you can wash it all away.
When it all comes down and Im feeling tired and afraid,
Youre always there, and seem come when Ive nothing left to give away.
Now I wait for your winds to come and give me breath for another day, and your rain to wash me.
I feel the rain coming. I feel it in my heart, take away my pain.
I feel the rain coming. wash me down, wash me down.
Here comes the rain. hold me now, just for awhile.
I feel like a candle flame in the wind. the dust of my deeds past, covers me, like a fading lie.
I feel the rain coming. I feel it in my heart, wash away my pain.
Wash me down, wash me down. I feel the rain coming.
Here comes the rain.

Easier to Accept

As painful as this experience may be...
For some.
There is nothing like having it come,
Unannounced!
If preparations were made...
Decisions to change it,
Would have prevented a growth process.
And not one person came to this life,
Without causing someone pain.
To eventually gain 'something' from it!
Some kind of a learning process occurred.
Unless they were unconscious?
And that might explain,
Why so many choose to remain medicated.
It is easier to accept something,
When it is not personally felt!
Or mandated as someone else's sacrifice.

My Sneaking Tears

How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.

My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.

The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…

On equal bearing now were we:
This rain, myself, in harmony.

Pain in the Rain

Decipher these rhymes
Walk slowly
Recycle the good memories
Now I’m lonely

Refrain:
Wet is my temples
Water drops in vain
The lightning chuckles
I’m sick of the rain

Chorus:

Can somebody explain
Why life is so simple, so plain
Cuz I can’t see through this fog of rain
This flood of tears
This constant pain
Of forgetting our dreams
Self-pity remains
Pain, let it shine
Pain, let it slide
Pain, at our side
Pain, let it shine

Remember these crimes
Tap me in my fantasy
Remember me this time
Try to feel me

Bridge:
Remove the curtains aside
Let it fall down on you
The sunshine
(2x)

Let it shrink inside,
The sunshine
LEAVE THE STORMY DAYS BEHIND!
SHINE!

(Repeat Chorus)

Pain, let it shine
Pain, let it slide,
Pain, at our side
Pain, make me shine
Shine…

What I Do Know

I'm not into pretense.
Or perceive elements of its benefits.
I see none.

Masquerading one's feelings,
To later expose them behind one's back...
Is sooo,
Uncool!
And those who do it,
Are sooo...
Unattached from integrity.

I could care less how many Bibles,
They quote scriptures from.
These folks are gutter dwellers.

I'm not into pretense.
Or perceive elements of its benefits.
I see none.

I've been accused of being embittered,
For expressing the anger felt...
From those experiences that brought tragedy,
Into my life.
And quickly I admit it.
Yes.
And my rebuttal about that?
If you don't want to know...
Don't ask!
A rule I use...
To free myself from fools.

I've been told I appear too happy,
With a lack of empathy shown to others.
I can express it.
Yes.
Empathy when given...
Is empathy at its best when expressed.
But becoming overwhelmed by depression?
How does that benefit,
My attempts to get away from it?
Why sit with someone wishing to serve pity?

However...
I do recognize my peace of mind.
How I got it.
When I got it.
And who has yet to arrive...
To be grateful they are alive.

And my life is not on hold!
To wait to behold the beauty of it.
That's what I do know.

Let It Rain

I can't get up the nerve to call you
But I want to call so bad
To find out, who's holding on to
The most beautiful thing I ever had
Babe I guess I never really took the time
To show how much I care
CHORUS
Let it rain (rain)
Let it rain down on me
Hide these tears I'm crying
So no one can see
That I'm still not over you
But if you're over me
Let it rain (rain)
Let it rain down on me
We used to lay together like spoons
It was the only way I could sleep
And this pillow is a poor subsitute
For your body next to me
I reach to pull you closer
And remember you're not there
CHORUS
The rain is not so bad after all
It camouflages every tear that falls
It cleanses me of all the blame
I've put upon myself
I hear your married now
Well I hope he treats you well
Oh let it rain
CHORUS
I can't get up the nerve to call you

Crying In The Rain

(coverdale)
A black cat moans
When hes burning with the fever
A stray dog howls
When hes lonely in the night
A woman goes crazy
With the though of retribution
But, a man starts weeping
When hes sick and tired of life
I keep on dreaming dreams of tomorrow
Feel Im wasting my time
Lighting candles in the wind,
Always taking my chances
On the promise of the future
But, a heart full of sorrow
Paints a lonely tapestry
The sun is shining
But, its raining in my heart
No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
cos no one ever sees the tears
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain,
Crying in the rain...
I can never deny
All the sweet things I have tasted
Tho Ive been mistreated
I keep coming back for more,
I know where Im going
Theres no hope of absolution
I cant seem to separate
The good times from the bad
The sun is shining
But, its raining in my heart
No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
cos no one ever sees the tears
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain
The sun is shining
But, its raining in my heart
No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
cos no one ever sees the tears
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain,
When youre crying in the rain
Crying in the rain...

Hope Hanging On At Heathrow

Like the last lonely leaf on the London plane,
I drive down, lonesome, up the long airport track,
Still hanging on, through the wind and the rain.

Will you still forgive me, if I just explain?
Will you come home to me? Will you fly back,
Like the last lonely leaf, on the London plane?

I never meant to cause you all that pain
That tears through your heart, bruising it black,
Still hanging on through the wind and the rain.

Do you believe, since my efforts are vain,
It is “THE END”, as in books, at the back
Like the last lonely leaf, on the London plane?

Though you ignore me, with haughty disdain,
You’ll find me waiting, despite your attack,
Still hanging on through the wind and the rain.

Half-hopes cling on; trust’s faint traces remain.
Determined, I stay, since I shall not crack,
Like the last lonely leaf on the London plane
Still hanging on through the wind and the rain.

Those Times Never Forgotten

Sometimes the best remedy,
That comes to assist one to heal quickly...
Is not the familiar 'cry-on-the-shoulder-kind'!
With a soothing of tears and a warm embrace.

Sometimes some cures are better done,
When that person is left alone.
To figure out how to deal,
With agony, pain and stress on their own.

And hopefully a going through the process...
Will increase an appreciation!
And perhaps the acknowledgement,
Of this is shown.

Sometimes this works!
And at other times...
Be on the alert!

Especially when those 'sometimes'
Most of the time...
Are those times never forgotten,
By the ones turned away the first time.

You know...
There are those times that come,
When 'some' people have none to spare!
To express an empathy or caring.

And we all will have those times,
When a comforting should have been extended.
And a selfishness not to listen...or pretend,
Reveals more than what had been intended.

And...
Even though a healing process does occur?
The hearing of it,
Never seems to end.
With reminders left to dig deep under the skin.

'WHY?
Why are you still harboring on that?
How long do you want me to apologize?
For the rest of my life? '

~I hadn't thought of that as an option.
Let me give that some thought!
Thank you for the suggestion.
I appreciate that.~
