Left To Wilt And Languish
It will rain to replenish,
That which needs to be nourished.
It will flood to clear debris,
To rejuvenate an encouragement of growth...
That allows a renewal to begin once again,
To restore a drought of life left to wilt and languish.
And has begun to dull with dust to cover in lament.
It will rain to replenish,
That which needs to be nourished.
It will flood to clear debris,
To rejuvenate an encouragement of growth...
Anguishing.
And...
Left to wilt and languish.

Caressed By The Strength Of Lightening
Aroused by thunder.
Caressed by the strength of lightening.
And nourished is my thirst,
By falling rain.
I too become recharged,
From the acts done by Mother Nature.
As I await the Sun coming to dawn...
And awaken to flourish from the encouragement,
That affords me to blossom.
And develop the growth of my reaching bloom.

On the Side That Lives
Some see rain as an opportunity to cry.
But without it,
People aren't nourished.
And when a drought happens things die.
Yes,
I want to know life!
And I want to experience,
All there is that is connected to it.
There is a clear mental divide happening.
And I want to be on the side,
That lives to know life,
To appreciate it as a gift.
With an acknowledgement of this.

A: whoa, whoa
Yeah yeah!

A: hay!!!..... hey!!!.....
Nothing like the rain
R: theres nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain,
To come and wash away, away the pain!
A: let me ask a question where do we go from here?
Playing games to pass the time, thats ok
cause time is on our side!
A: theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To clear the air so we see again!
R: falling down again..
A: if I make a promise, Ill never let you down, no no
Love will always break your heart, so they say
But we can turn that round! oh, baby...
Theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Theres nothing like the rain, nothing like the rain
To clear the air so we see again!
And we wont give up
R: we wont give up!
A: no, we wont give in
R: check it out, yall
A: when there is so much we can do

When there is so much left to do.
R: so much left to do...aw, jyeah. its there, can you feel it?
A chance to change the world if you want it, you can give up a lot, but dont give in
Be ready for your break when it comes your way
Today I say, hey, prepare, a break in the clouds you will be heard
Raise your voice, stake your claim
After the storm, after the rain!
A:theres nothing like the rain, falling down again
To come and wash away the pain
Wash away the pain theres nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain
Nothing like the rain
To clear the air so we see again!
And we wont give up
We wont give up!
No, we wont give in
We wont give in
When there is so much we can do
R: yeah check it out, yall
A: and we wont give up
We wont give up
R: we wont give up!
A: no we wont give in

A: when there is so much left to do.

The Chilled fire of Snow
have you ever taste the cooled bloom of
winter, as the river freeze and the tree stood still
for a hibernation of waiting, oh! come the cone
of the morning dust wonder in the woods for the
early spring sang the melody of your beautifully
echoed song of praise
feel the warm blanket for the thick snow
warm the flesh and fuel the sweat that dried,
open into my molded fire, enkindle that thirst of
my being and say not that hold you to the end,
full of rendezvous happiness beneath the naked
truth of the snow
languish my arrogant and cleanse my hope of
promise for nothing lift, but the chilled night of
where I believe is the beginning of fire in the
chilled winter snow of life
replenish my dignity and brighten my day, the
snow seems clear my way …..

Nothing In Common
You and I have nothing in common.
When I look to the sky,
I do not seek clouds.
And when it rains I feel nourished.
At least I accept a growth of some kind,
Is going on to encourage my mind...
To remain curious with an inquisitive need,
To adventure.
You associate your life with everything negative.
If I allowed you...
I'd be limping around feeling pains of empathy.
And you'd be there...
Delighting to see my back hunched over,
From a load of your constant unpacking of complaints.
My mind is not here for you to pluck.
All that time I've given to you has been used up.
You and I have nothing in common.
When I look to the sky,
I do not seek clouds.
And when it rains I feel nourished.
At least I accept a growth of some kind,
Is going on to encourage my mind...
To remain curious with an inquisitive need,
To adventure.
And you only come around to offer dead ends!

When The Heavy Clouds Of Black Come
when those dark heavy clouds
finally come on my roof
i will not think anymore
of any lamentation
i will not think of the threats
that a heavy flood may
come and take away my house
and everything
i will change my point of view
this angle of sight
i will take sides with the way the
trees and the flowers look
at its coming
i will think about the growth of leaves
the spreading of the roots
the blooming of the buds
the fruiting of the flowers
and the ripening
and the lusciousness and
the sweetness of life
beyond the dark, heavy clouds
beyond the rain and the flood

A Situation
there is a waterfall on my belly
there is a dam on my pelvic bone
i cannot stop this
i will let go a river
there will be a flood
needing you.
be the parched earth
let your cracks be mouths
i will be the rain, i will be the flood
do not destroy humanity
take all of me, this flood, this rain, this dam is broken
i let go a rampage of emotions
i explode
you be the space
you must take all that i am
all that i will be
tackle me, swallow me
drink me
o thirsty earth, my love,
my life, my outlet, my current.

Hording without using
On his way through the woods one winter night,
To warm himself through out night in the site,
He started colleting debris for burning,
More and more, unsure of wanted quantum,
Till he found himself at approaching dawn.
His toils became of no use to serve
And the debris was left and he left.
Some said that he failed to enjoy his fruits
That I contradict; he had his need served.
Don’t ridicule one who had unending ambitions.

Stormy Weather!
Stormy weather is on the horizon,
Lots of moisture is sure to make
a fast water's level to be
a risin'!
Winds and lightening, soon followed by
thunder, Golf ball sized hail stones
falling down from up yonder!
Whirlwinds of twisters travel on by,
Rooftops and debris do so fly!
Take cover as soon as possible,
behind anything low or a solid like
obsticle! Flash flood's warning is
over the tv's air, Weatherman's warnings
are all on tv, showing they care!
When the all clear signal is finally
given, All the fast heavy breathin' is
slowed down and even!

Rooted
Ignore me,
If you must.
But twig bearing leaves,
On the branches of the same tree...
Are we.
Perspectively speaking.
And feeding from the same trunk,
Rooted.
You may not expect,
The affects felt...
Are still ours to feel.
Be you filled with animosity.
Or a hostility you choose not to heal!
And the Sun that shines,
To absorb the rain that falls...
Continues to nourish.
Whether you decide to encourage it,
Or not!
Every single dropp of blood that spills...
Does not do so,
At the expense of your vanity!
You are still destined,
To replenish the Earth.
Separated to wallow away in mud,
Or dirt!
You are still destined,
To replenish the Earth.
Even those who believe they are chosen!

In The Rain
Sorry I am for the hurt I caused
Grieving I still do over careless words
As I move freely to a place
The debris I left behind comes back into my day
Out of time disconnected
Plagued by senses sweet desire, out of time
Out of time deluded
I plunged my hand into the mother load of love
In the rain calling out his name, I call, yes I call
In the rain falls on my shame it falls, yes it falls
In the rain
Life picked me up this morning and thrust me to the world
Like a child Im hurtled forward
Dreaming things anew, sights I see sound true
All the places, open faces gracing everything I view
In the rain falls on my shame I call, yes I call
In the rain falling on my shame I call yes, I call
In the rain calling out his name, I fall, yes I fall
In the rain

The Lost Piece Of Silver
HOLY Lord Jesus, Thou wilt search till Thou find
This lost piece of silver,--this treasure enshrined
In casket or bosom, once of such store;
Now lying under the dust of Thy floor.
Gentle Lord Jesus, Thou wilt move through the room--
So empty--so desolate! and light up its gloom:
The lost piece of silver that no man can see,
Merciful Jesus! is beheld clear by Thee.
Defaced and degraded, trampled in the dust,
Its superscription Thou knowest still we trust:
And Thou wilt uplift it and make it re-shine,
For it was silver--pure silver of Thine.
Loving Lord Jesus, Thou wilt come through the dark,
When men are all sleeping and no eye can mark.
Though 'clean forgotten, like a dead man out of mind,'
This lost piece of silver Thou wilt search for--and find.

Soft Clear Rain
Soft clear rain is falling
All over our fair town
Soft clear rain is falling
Washing the mean streets down
Soft clear rain is falling
Soaking into the concert drive
Soft clear rain is falling
Keeping things alive
Soft clear rain is falling

Growth
Some things are certain; There is no growth without change,
No change without fear or loss, and no loss without pain;
Though, to you it may be unwelcome, and even strange-
Growth gifts a curative effect, and renders much gain;
Once we stop growing, we begin to wither,
Like a flower not provided sunshine or rain.
Ignorance brreds this refusal, yet lives not, hither;
I do not profess to know everything, nor would I deign-
So, why then would I refuse growth, when needed-
Why would I refuse the call for same, or leave it unheeded! ?
Pain is said to be 'weakness leaving the body'**-
Though loss may be tragic, fear is a myth that self-perpetuates;
Change may be good; when we see it as less odd, we
We may be more open to growth, and all it obviates!

Who
(berry blue/rob bowkett)
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life
Theres no use crying, trying hard
What else can I do
But he becomes another man
Another case of fool
Why go on living and giving up
Much more than I receive
Its taken time to realize
But now Ive opened my eyes to you
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life
But who is right, who was wrong
When love just fades away
It couldve been me, it couldve been you
But now I never find out who
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain

Free Yourself and Let It Go
Deflated ego?
You think I say the things I do to you,
To deflate your ego?
I am hoping my assistance,
Helps you get rid of it.
And seeing no benefit in being limited.
And that's what your ego has done!
Made you believe you are number one.
And everything you do is correct.
Without a self examination...
Needed to allow you to live your best yet.
Deflated ego?
I may say some things to you that upsets.
I may even criticize something you do,
You accept as your best.
I might even attempt to strip,
That façade you charade.
Since it's your ego that has you 'tripped'...
When you see it for what it is,
You will realize your greatness has nothing to do with it.
In fact it is keeping you,
Inflated with bs and other nonsense.
Deflate your ego?
You think I do that,
From a threat I feel.
To diminish you in some way...
So I would have a greater appeal?
And deflating your ego would give me thrills?
You need to free yourself and let it go.
If you believe that keeping it,
Inspires a greater you with heights to reach!
Free yourself and let it go.
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Free yourself and let it go.
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Free yourself and let it go.
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
That ego you've got stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!
Stunts your growth!

Debris Road
She nails down moon beams
And talks in double time
Stumbling down to wherever she goes
I live in the meantime
And I get frustrated
So I put my wager on Debris Road
It keeps me running down Debris Road
I'm not scared but it's somewhere I cling to
All the places I (still) wanna go
They won't cast a shadow on my Debris Road
I get frustrated looking for moonbeams
They always fall where I never go
'Cause I like the daylight and I like a good life
Running so fast down Debris Road
(Repeat Chorus)
Someone got moonfaced and someone gets tearful
Talking so much that they really don't know
Sitting up all night singing songs 'till daylight
Striking a match with the devil below
(Repeat Chorus)
