Just to Share Their Good Wishes

Often folks are depicted,
To be less influencial than they are.
Most times than none,
This is done by relatives and friends of some.
With a demeaning of one's character.
From an innocence that is done!

Now...
If the one who is victimized,
Wins the lottery...
Or some other monetary prize.
Relatives, friends and those unknown,
Expose themselves from beyond closed doors...
And everywhere else,
To make themselves known.

Just to share their good wishes!
And...
Of course a taste,
Of what for them they find delicious.

Friends you can choose relatives you can’t

I heard stories about friendship
People talked about good deeds friends did
I used to ask question to myself
Why I am by my self?
No friends No body to think of me
One day I went to a saint
And asked him why I was alone
Nobody to trust, nobody to help
He asked
Do you care for anybody?
Or trust anybody?
No, I replied
He smiled and said to me
First start caring known, unknown
Do not treat all alike
Trust few you like
You shall get love and care
And friends, you can count upon
Sacrifice before you receive
Never shall you feel lonely and helpless
Friends you can choose
Relatives you can’t
Remember the golden rule
In mind and Heart

Kept Secret From An Ugliness Unknown

The good ones
Are not often depicted,
To be the kind
You'd find,
Using a bathroom in their homes.

The bad ones
Are always those perceived,
In need of the good ones
To lead with their assistance,
On the right path.

The good ones
Are always spoken of as being nice and liked
With voices sweet and appealing.

The bad ones
Are rumored to be heartless,
Ruthless and crazed
By the good ones.
And nasty tempered people.
Who curse and treat them mean
For no apparent reason,
The good ones say.
Left them amazed

The good ones
Lie and cheat.
With the twisting of truths,
To those they initially meet

And those made to look bad
Who are victims of character assassinations,
To use by the good ones
For purposes to discreetly deceive others,
With their hidden agendas
Kept secret from an ugliness unknown,
But to the 'bad' ones shown.

The bad ones know of this.
And have already experienced,
Being victimized by this wickedness.
And come forward to speak of it.

'You would never believe what happened to me! '

~Really?
You're one of the bad ones.
Right? ~

No Tears In heaven

To All My Friends Relatives Gone before me and who will go after me....
No Tears In Heaven!

A friend is someone who lends a helping hand,
With a friendship to last forever in this earthly land
They will be friends forever and may not end up together,
With precious memories that will last forever and ever.
A friend is not a maid, a servant, a distant past, certainly not!
They hold a piece of you in their hearts and its forget me not.
Brightens up your deepest darkest hour... day by day
Shares your smile, your victory, in many a glorious way,
Words to describe, i certainly find it hard and its sad
But i am grateful, friends have i, when my times are bad.
And when the curtain falls the journey bravely we will carry on
Wondering.. Will you know my name if I saw you in heaven?

Good Friendship

In friendship lies, life’s beauty prime –
A bond that stands the test of time,
And withstands every change of clime.

Good friendship makes life worth living;
Than taking, life is in giving –
The crux of friendship, worth telling!

Our earthly life would be a bore,
Without good friendship at its core:
That takes each person to the fore!

Though parents care for their children,
And relatives for kith and kin,
Yet, friends usher on earth, heaven!

Happy the ones, who have good friends!
Their worries in life, almost ends:
In need, good friend always attends.

And without friends, life could be sad,
And make all events, pretty bad,
And turn some persons, almost mad!

Good friends are rarely found in life,
And help you timely in your strife –
Some turning husband or your wife!

Nurture good friendship if you can;
Essential are friends good, man:
Those add spice to your earth’s life-span.

The Way Old Friends Do

YOU AND I CAN SHARE
THE SILENCE
FINDING COMFORT TOGETHER
THE WAY OLD FRIENDS DO
AND AFTER FIGHTS
AND WORLDS OF VIOLENCE
WE MAKE UP WITH EACH OTHER
THE WAY OLD FRIENDS DO

TIMES OF JOY
AND TIMES OF SORROW
WE WILL ALWAYS
SEE IT THROUGH
OH I DON┬┤T CARE
WHAT COMES TOMORROW
WE CAN FACE IT TOGETHER
THE WAY OLD FRIENDS DO

TIMES OF JOY...

Talk About The Good Times

(words & music by jerry reed hubbard)
Well I remember when I was as children
The time the people used to treat the neighbor like a fellow man
And all their singin and big prayer meetins
When a man was proud to walk up and shake his neighbors hand
Oh you talk about the good times,
Talk about the good times
Oh if you ever needed help a friend was there
Some good neighbor
Help lift your burden
Mmm, and the simple joys of life a friend would share
Times are harder and the people are changin
Now most folks couldnt tell you who their neighbors are
All their guns are loaded, the front doors are bolted
Aint this ol world takin hate and fear just a little too far
Oh you talk about the good times,
Talk about the good times
I wish I could go back to the days Im speakin of
When a friend would meet you
And a smile would greet you
What this ol world needs now is a little old fashioned love
My granddaddy God rest his soul now
Well we had a big long talk together the day he died
Said son this world is full of hate and venom
An I cant wait to leave this ol place and rest on the other side
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away

The Better Friend

A man of good character is a better friend
Than a rich man who only loves his wealth
For the man with character will stay till the end
With his friend, in poverty or in poor health.

I have had so many friends in times of abundance
And only about two remained in Adversity
In life I discovered true friends of substance
Were not found in my times of Prosperity.

So when you are down and so all alone
And you find there is one friend who stands with you
You are most blessed not with what you own
But for that one friend whom you found is true.

Repetitious Are The Ramblings Dished

Repetitious are the ramblings dished.
About the broken hearted,
And who tossed them aside,
To disregard and dismiss.
There is a commonness linked,
Between all of them like this.
They seem willing to be victimized...
For a prize that does not exist!

A foolishness depicted...
Is what these creatures share.
Every few weeks,
Their weeping is heard.
And thoughts of others...
Aren't concerns they share.
They want to make clear,
Their feelings are felt like none other.
And after their points of views are relayed...
A sympathy is extended,
To their fathers and mothers.

Without a doubt as to 'why'...
Some have decided to leave these nuts,
Alone and crushed with a quick goodbye!

The Seasons of Giving

“I Wanna Be A Billionaire, ”
And so I wish - Bruno Mars
Tell me about this Seasons of Giving
When you have nothing
Those numbers keep on rolling
And mine are lazy
Stubborn
In that cage of Lottery
Friends and relatives are praying,
They too wish they’re millionaires
But what is Seasons of Giving means
If all are rich and got everything
A joke once told me
“Luck comes when I’ll be old and gray
For all started young
In line
Praying to God”

Friends

Show me your friend
And I can tell your character.

The friends you keep,
Determine your deeds,
Reveal your preferences,
Inform your references.

The friends you move with,
Shape your attitude,
Mold your aptitude,
Decide your future altitude.

Friends are of different types.
They come in different styles.
So be mindful of your picking,
So as not to regret your pick.

Friends can make you,
Friends can break you.
Friends can prop you up,
Friends can pluck you down.
Some friends can further your cause,
Others can cause you your feathers.
What type, are yours?

Friends

Weve been friends now for so many years
Weve been together through the good times and the tears
Turned each other on to the good things that life has to give
We drift apart for a little bit of a spell
One night I get a call and I know that youre well
And days I was down you would help me get out of my hole
Ohhhhhhhh
Lets be friends
Lets be friends
Lets be friends
You told me when my girl was untrue
I loaned you money when the funds werent too cool
I talked your folks out of making you cut off your hair
Weve been friends now for so many years
Weve been together through the good times and the tears
Dim dipple ee dim dipple ay dim dipple oo dim dee aye oh

In God's Eyes

'That tattered coat you have worn?
Don't throw it away, ever! Don't think it!
It may become the most valued in all the land! '

Many years ago they had chosen sides.
Those that appeared to have nothing,
Were taunted!
Those who worshipped things...
Of course,
Were not!
They were social darlings.
And accepted brighter than stars!

But the land could not feed,
All of those who kept feeding their greed.
And for generations...
They let the needy bleed!
They laughed at the homeless.
Joked of those who found refuge on the streets.
But the land could not feed,
All of those who kept feeding their greed.

Warnings from those observing,
Were dismissed and at best, ignored!
If fact they were declared to be insane...
And defamed and slandered,
Became for some to do to them as a chore!
And the signs of the times began to creep,
Upon the shores.
And this had never been seen before.
Many became frightened.
Decisions were made to close their doors!
An epidemic soon spread.
And those of suburban dreams...
Found themselves foreclosure whores!

Those with their BA's, MA's and PHd's...
Wide screen TV's and DVD's
Were lining up at pawn shops!
Sneaking to protect pretentions they could not stop!
Those of jewels and gold gems...
Sought to find shelter,
With lost relatives and fake friends!
But wait...

'That tattered coat you have worn?
Don't throw it away, ever! Don't think it!
It may become the most valued in all the land! '

You, the abused...
The downtrodden and counted out!
You, the one ignored and talked about!
You, the slandered and defamed to shame.
You who kept your dignity and identity that remained...
Ultimately wins the prize!
In God's eyes.

Doors

She always feels doors are closed to her,
an outsider, too timid to knock.
Her brother just glides through them
as though they don't exist
and her friends hammer at them,
proclaiming their entrance with fizz.

Some doors, of course, are best left shut,
they hold unwanted demons
that will spark off heaps of troubles
and some are best ignored
for beating at them
will just result in tears.

My door is a bright yellow, easily seen.
It's open to friends and closed to enemies.
It has a big letterbox for greeting cards
but not for bills
and a DO NOT DISTURB sign
for salesmen and the weird.

Doors keep you warm in winter
and cool in summer,
they may protect you,
but sometimes hem you in.
Doors are two way streets,
or dual carriageways.
