Isolated In Safety Zones

One enriched by events lived,
And evaluated with self examination.
Pleased to have adventured,
When discouragement tried to prevent it.
Is a happy noncomformist...
After reflecting on one's past.

With risks and challenges as daily tasks,
Now passed to gift with wisdom.
This is the peace of mind that comes,
After a chase has satisfied all concepts of ego.

Interpretations often described by those isolated,
In safety zones condoned in glad static.

If It Pleases

If it pleases...
Anyone is invited,
To say and speak
That which is on their mind.
Tongues of these,
Have been declared to be
Censorship free.
And acceptable.

Those who think pose threats.
And they may or may not upset,
The ones who protect themselves...
In safety zones condoned.

And yet...
A comprehension is expected.
Requests to understand perspectives,
Are solicited and collected.
And those choices selected are made.
To leave decisions made pleased.
In a climate made easier for explanations.

Few Can Pick Them To Then Run

How can one live without risks.
Or prevent risks to exist.
Risk taking is a part of this life lived,
As it is...
For everyone.

Few can pick them to then run.
Few can pick them to then run.
Few can pick them to then run...
To be undone.

Few can pick them to then run.
Few can pick them to then run.
Few can pick them to then run...
To be undone.

Living life is taking risks.
And no one living can resist...
Those risks.

Few can pick them to then run,
From those risks.
Few can pick them to then run,
From those risks.
Few can pick them to then run...
To be undone.

Too Connected To Humanity

Too connected to humanity,
To feel completely free.
Although I am committed,
To have my own peace of mind...
I still find I am happiest,
When near and close to those I love.

Too connected I am to those I care about.
Even those I see on a daily basis I don't know...
I give and show respect I don't in return get.
And yet,
I am not expecting it...
In wishes it to be given.

Too connected to humanity and accepting it.
With each moment lived to express gratefulness.
And to do that with the acknowledgement,
I can only be free to observe and learn.
Not be isolated with a freedom earned...
Yet to become upset,
Since my senses are not satisfied by my yearning...
To be held and touched.

So Glad My Days Are Simple

I am so glad my days are simple.
So glad my sights are clear.
Viewing life nonjudgementally...
I'm free to express my cheer!

Materialistic wishes,
Are briefly satisfied.
I found a peace of mind I hold,
I have learned not to put my life aside!

I am not completely isolated,
From others who feel rushed with pursuits.
I was once caught up myself with quick endeavors...
Until I discovered a self I had to soothe.

And I am so glad my days have become simple,
I have time to enjoy other facets of life.
I don't look for rain when clouds appear.
And when they do,
I accept that as being alright!

I don't get uptight about it,
Like some who use these times to fight!

Innuendoed to Convince

Fear not being completely honest,
In an atmosphere reeking of deceit.
You...
Of those wholesome sensibilities!

Eventually your intergrity will be identified.
And those who lived their lives mystified by lies...
Will discover their decay.
Deluded and fantasized.
Teased by sweets and compromised.
But has delivered no long lasting peace.

With wishes they had turned away,
From a hollowness enjoyed each day.
Sought on a daily basis.
Preferring a more solid existence employed.
At least one less pretensed.
Or one wished had been less annoying!
And lived to prevent from being destroyed.
By threats of terrorists or homophobic racists!

Since one day they will come to realize,
Their own lives lived...
For them nearing the end,
Has made no sense to defend.

With a rumored conscious intention.
Innuendoed to convince,
A fulfillment of some kind has taken place.
Even at the expense,
Of their sheltered and isolated misunderstandings.

No Life Is Right Until Lived

When the thrill of living my life has quieted to end,
I will not be discovered procrastinating with any fears.
Or recovering from regrets,
Of not facing challenges to overcome when first met.
Nor is my life in any position for anyone to place bets.
Although I may choose to take those risks 'I' accept.

I am a work-in-progress taking forward not backward steps.
I live a life lived unafraid to make mistakes.
And those monitoring perfection based upon etiquette,
Are powerless to suggest what my identity should be to please.
Since this life I live is 'my' experience without boundaries.
And I will dream to adventure and explore to make known.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed.

With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed...
No life is right until lived as one decides it.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
And...
As one decides what life is right for them to live,
Who can demonstrate what perfection is?

I Just Know This Is 'Not' Your Best Effort

My mother used to assign my sisters and I...
The most remedial tasks to complete.
When we were much younger.
To test our mental capabilities.
Oh...
Those lessons my mother would teach.

And then...
Shower us with praises.
Having us believe,
We were gifted with unspeakable talents.
After connecting 'dots'.
Or...
Knowing which end of a handle held,
Was used to sweep or mop.

And as years have passed us by,
It became clear her tactic and strategy.
She knew we would seek more difficult tasks,
To satisfy her to complete.
And even to this day...
I can hear her voice say,
'This is wonderful.'
As her eyes express...
'Even though THIS is wonderful.
I just know this is 'not' your best effort.'

And with a seeking we sought,
Increasing much more difficult challenges.
Never becoming satisfied,
Just to do our best.
There 'has' to be something 'greater' to achieve.

'I just know this is 'not' your best effort?
And if it is...
Well,
I 'guess' it's...okay! '

Scenarios In Our Mind

It is funny how in our daydreams
we bump into someone from our past.
We greet them with open arms,
reflecting on what has happened
to us in the intervening years.
We make scenarios in our mind
of how their lives went on.
Knowing in a way they are always wrong,
but are just the way we hoped they lived
and were happy all day long.
Then reality kicks in,
the daydream busts
and you find they’ve lived a life
you could never envisage for them.

A Message To The 77 Years Olds.

I passed 77 years old yesterday,
Looking forward peace, self confidence & health in every way.
This will be the 12th 7 year cycle for me,
When joy for ever should start and I am happy to be with Thee.

I let go all the misery of the past,
Open my mind for true happiness at last,
Let come everything to me easily,
Never more problems, just the best of life daily.

I open my mind to be able to handle everything
With ease and enjoyment under God's wing.
Let come what was meant to me from the beginning,
Live my life in true happiness & my praises I gratefully sing.

Believe it or not this message was meant
For all who passed 77 years age,
Do your best to find true contentment
And happiness in your life's voyage.

Let go the destroying will,
Let God guide and show you how to stand still.
Let peace, kindness & contentment be your guide,
Be a traveler of life's road, let God give you the ride.

Aging

At what designated point?
Does society, consider an individual old?
Is there a chronological time,
when one’s productivity, ceases?

What then shall be done?
Should a person’s prolific contributions,
continue past, that designated juncture?
Must established protocol be re-evaluated?

Is the gift of wisdom,
also the profound ability.
To accept these facts,
reroute formatted policy, no matter when?

Sonnet- Things Change In Life

The more we climb, the more we leave behind;
To gain virtues, we must give up vices;
Each stage, we must maintain our peace of mind;
Good deeds, more temptations sure entices.

The more we climb, the fear of fall is more;
So, reinforce yourself at every stage;
Effort is more to open heavier door;
Sometimes, life's challenges, we must engage.

Sans sacrifice, great feats can't be achieved;
Sans risks and challenges, we can't do things;
Sans analgesics, pain can't be relieved;
Sans struggle, Life not much advancement brings.

The state of mind must change from woe to joy;
We ought to change some day to man from boy.

The Demons Inside Me

i soar through the sky
as happy as a man
can possibly be

a few years have passed
i walk through the night
as sad
as anyone
could possibly be

i wait to die
wait till the day i can fly
i take a sip of this
memory eraser

nothing i hate more
then songs about
happy endings

my life will not end happy
my life use to be happy

i smoke this drug
hoping it will prevent me
from being a sad death

i take these pills
so i wont die
so i wont kill myself

i forget my happy past
so i wont be more depressed

i have demons
everyone i know has them
but mine are the worst

my past haunts me
knowing i use to be happy

its three am
i jump in a lake
rocks tied all around me
knowing what will happen next

trying to drown my sarrows in death
im sorry loved ones but i am gone
ive been dead for most of my life
now i am dead

maybe i can find some peace in hell
mabe just maybe you can live a different life
because mines no good
so take another path

good luck to ya
i hope not to see you
in the next life

Up Above The Daily Hum

Wondering at the scope of my experience
Cautious so not to be cold
Caught up in the comfort of what I once was
Lost in all the brand new possibility
Oh to be
In the middle
Happy on the pull of the past
Just before the future comes
Hoping for the rush of some experience
That could elevate me
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum
When is this all over
When does the next one begin
Happy on the pull of the past
Just before the future comes
Hoping for the rush of some experience
That could elevate me
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum
Up above the daily hum

Hymn XIV: Happy the Man That Finds the Grace

Happy the man that finds the grace,
The blessing of God's chosen race,
The wisdom coming from above,
The faith that sweetly works by love.

Happy beyond description he
Who knows, The Saviour died for me,
The gift unspeakable obtains,
And heavenly understanding gains.

Wisdom divine! Who tells the price
Of wisdom's costly merchandise
Wisdom to silver we prefer,
And gold is dross compared to her.

Her hands are filled with length of days,
True riches, and immortal praise,
Riches of Christ, on all bestowed,
And honour that descends from God.

To purest joys she all invites,
Chaste, holy, spiritual delights;
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her flowery paths are peace.

Happy the man who wisdom gains,
Thrice happy who his guest retains!
He owns, and shall for ever own,
Wisdom, and Christ, and heaven are one.

Ubiquitous

Being one who observes is a benefit.
Life is to be experienced and adventured,
To gain insight.

Many express no wish to stretch.
Finding a comfort in a daily sameness.
A routine that flows in a rotation.
And this for them is the best.

Being everywhere is also ridiculous.
Is it?
Is the mind 'that' tremendous?
Is it possible to comprehend,
From ubiquitous activities that see no end?

Those who achieve knowledge and wisdom,
From travels they mention...
Seem to be aware of everything.
And this is what experiencing means and brings.
At least lives and possibilities are being explored.

These Tasks Are Not Group Efforts

The spoils of one's chase,
Become obviously magnified...
When others believe,
One's journey is invitational.

When in fact...
Challenges one has created,
Are placed on a path...
For one to pass.

These tasks are not group efforts,
To test and crowd one's mission.
And those not aware of this...
Become exhausted at their own risk.

You're Just Never Satisfied

If you love me. why do you hurt me
Come on baby. don't desert me
I was there when you were in trouble
Now you're fine but I guess you changed your mind
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
I don't mind it when you get angry
I'm not asking for you to beg me
All I want to do is remind you
How many times I put my ass on the line
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
You're just never satisfied
You don't care if I stuck with you
Covered for you, put up with you
'Cause all you wanna do
Is try your love with somebody new
Ooh
I've been wasting my time
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
You're just never satisfied
