Inconclusive Evidence

Statistics evaluated...
Revealed descrepancies,
Between the 'haves' and 'have nots'.
And those providing the exclosures
Could not believe the discoveries.
Although observations of homelessness,
Poverty, joblessness, crime and hunger...
Were declared 'urban' phenonmenons.
And no one conducting the surveys,
Actually knew any those suffering...
By name,
So their findings were deemed inconclusive,
Evidence!
They had to be scrapped for lack of 'facts'.
Further studies were ordered,
Since verification of those experiencing
These 'ordeals'
Could not be produced!
Too many were said 'overacting' their plights!
A 'reality' has not yet been determined!
And additional funding for staffing,
To secure a more definitive...
AND appropriate manifestation,
Had yet produced the required votes...
To mandate a continuance of 'in-field' snooping,
Sought to seek the causes...
And dispel all the rumors,
That may conflict with innuendo!
Therefore...
Who can really say what segment
Of the population is, indeed, being affected?
Name one amongst us who can say,
They truthfully understand...
The nourishment of a mastard sandwich?
The procedure AND implementation!
Hmmm?
Let us not forget 'who' and 'what' we represent!

Conspiracy of Collusions

After actively participating,
In the demise of their own flesh and blood.
With backstabbings, character assassinations...
Rumors and downright lies,
Organizers assigned to promote unity...
And family togetherness,
In communities nationally...
Wonder why there is a dwindling number,
Of those showing interest in advertised festivities.

And they propose conducting surveys,
Once meetings have been established...
To seek funding for research,
And other related matters.
To determine from those affected...
The causes for this 'phenomenon'.

It seems as though they are sure,
It is because of a lack of jobs!
Unavailable affordable housing.
And unqualified teachers in schools...
Where undisciplined children represent,
An upbringing from illiterate homes...
That are socially dysfunctional.
And it has been declared,
These children can not maintain successful futures,
If they can not receive a dynamic education,
Supported by their unfaithful and disrespecting guardians!

WHY have these 'negativities' perpetuated?
When intentions have been prayed over...
In weekly services that are packed in churches on Sunday,
By devoted worshippers seen glorifying their beliefs.

Mysteries like these have been determined to be priorities,
To uncover and solve what has been suggested to be a crisis!
Since many suspect a conspiracy of collusions.
A plot to undermine those of goodwill!

Perhaps they will conclude their findings soon...
Before a mirror exposes a self examination.
And the stares reflected will accept the minds,
That have either snapped, cracked, popped and/or fizzled...
In 'influential' significance.
As perceived by nonbelievers...
Who revere and revel 'themselves'
In pretensed perceptions.

For Millions Out There

For millions out there life is an Earthly Hell
Of hardship and suffering they only can tell
In camps overcrowded with climate and war refugees
Many suffer and die of hunger and disease.

Condemned to Homelessness, Statelessness and Poverty by birth circumstance
Of any success in life they do not stand a chance
The poor and forgotten not wanted anywhere
For many life can be so hard in the big World out there.

In the Human World where the gap between the haves and have nots keeps growing ever wide
Many do end their miserable lives in suicide
And more sad stories of oppression and dispossession we read of and hear every day
Equality from Humanity seems so far away.

A right to a fair go Human Society them does deny
Only to the lucky minority life choices apply
Of hardship and Homelessness and poverty they know
And in a time of economic depression and climate change their numbers do grow.

In A Fair World

I cannot empathize with the poor since I'm not in poverty
And I can only imagine how miserable life must be
For those who go to sleep hungry they live with death each day
In a fair World this would not be it would be fair to say.

In a fair World this would not be but all in life's not fair
And thousands are in poverty for every millionaire
In third World Countries every year millions of hunger die
The crops don't grow in rain starved lands, the parched earth far too dry.

In a fair World there would be enough food to go around
And not one hungry person in the whole World to be found
But there is only hunger where poverty reside
And the gap between the haves and have nots has never been so wide.

In a fair World there would not be want and need and very little crime
But the social gap keeps widening despite the march of time
And I who have never lived in the slums or in a third World Land
What it feels like to be really poor could never understand.

Research Can Unearth a Wealth of Knowledge

New England.
Colonialism.
The influence of the Dutch.
And...
Apartheid!

Things have a better chance,
To be comprehended.
When the basics of historical facts,
Are understood and 'not' left to be ignored...
As many wish they could!

Research can unearth,
A wealth of knowledge.
And dispel rumors,
With attached innuendo!
As the 'new' saying goes.

The Workings Of Human Life

The workings of human life beyond me to explain
How one person's loss is another one's gain
And why some see greed as okay does seem puzzling to me
In this Human world of inequality
The pauper, the homeless, the poor refugee
A quarter of the World's human population in dire poverty
And billions of have nots are doing it tough
Whilst the privileged minority have far more than enough
Of money and every material thing
Yet many too many their praises do sing
In an age when poverty exists everywhere
Life is so hard for many in the big World out there
In a Human world where the gap between the haves and the have nots grow wide
Far too many of a fair go in life are denied.

Game Over

Game over.
Your request for an additional overtime,
To play...
Will not be granted.

Your insistence that your opponent,
Has weaknesses you have capabilities to defeat...
Needs nore evidence,
Than those strategies used...
Produced to see you the one getting beat.

Huddling with neighbors and friends...
As well as family members,
Who have expressed their doubts...
Knowing your preference to embellish,
Have already signalled...
They believe you undeserving of more time outs.

Game over.
Your request for an additional overtime,
To play...
Will not be granted.

Your tactics to delay your removal from the field,
Only yields to your embarrassment...
And yet you wish to keep your deceit concealed.

Game over.
Your request for an additional overtime,
To play...
Will not be granted.

Your GAME...
Is OVER!

The Disease....

homelessness, joblessness, and hunger are not statistics.
they are people, with real faces, real hearts, and
real bodies... made in the image of god.
has nothing to do with race, religion, language,
sexual orientation, or citizenship...
it has to do with basic need....
a dollar in the cup, a prayer, and a shaking of the
head will not do!
these people are part of your family.
bottom line, we are responsible... for each other,
for the state of the world, for need, for poverty...
and we are responsible for our own indifference!
we cannot begin to say we believe in god, any god...
that we are a moral and ethical people, that we believe
in justice and equality, and that we are human...
without addressing and eradicating these atrocities!
if we do not become the cure, then we are the disease!

Only One Fool Can Occupy One Mind

After surveys taken...
And scavenger hunts conducted,
To asset the length of one's time...
Eventually it will be determined,
Only one fool can occupy one mind at a time.

Extentions willl be granted,
To analyze inconclusive research gathered.
Some deadlines may be missed,
To procure further funding as if something scientific...
Should be scholarly and profoundly documented.

Imbeciles will be solicited.
Assembled and dressed to impress the press.
Or some notable media to address,
The basic of human expressions.
With the best of blinding ambiance.

Obvious failures will continue to be smothered,
By those of opposing values...
Connected by a significance respected.
Tied to the familiarity of an aging political climate.
And yet...
An appetite for this 'crap' begins to sicken the masses.

~Has a higher consciousness,
Revealed an utter stupidity of the nonsense...
On display?
Overnight the mavericks have become elitists!
Wishing nothing to do with 'conformity'.~

After surveys taken...
And scavenger hunts conducted,
To asset the length of one's time...
Eventually it will be determined,
Only one fool can occupy one mind at a time.

However...
Multiple fools of one mindset,
Seems to be less of a phenomenon...
Among those who have been 'selected' to protect,
What some had believed to have been their best interests.
WHEREVER that may be happening.

In Every City, Town And Village

In every City, Town and Village the haves and have nots reside
But even the poorest of the poor have got their sense of pride
And it must be soul destroying for them to have to beg to stay alive
But pride has to take second place to the will to survive.

The wealthy growing wealthier and the poor growing poorer in the great social divide
And sad to say the gap between the haves and the have nots has never been so wide
Millions are dying of hunger and in camps for the homeless and Stateless overseas
At least thirty million people that's a lot of refugees.

Poverty is a relative thing some have been known to say
And the poor one in a prosperous Nation would be seen as wealthy in a poor Nation far away
But to live short of money anywhere is not a pleasant thing
'Tis seldom of the homeless soul that the balladeer does sing.

In every City, Town and Village there is inequality
And even in the wealthiest of Nations there is want and poverty
And though everybody in the World cannot be a millionaire
The unequal distribution of wealth seems so very unfair.

This Worldwide Economic Depression

This Worldwide economic depression humanity will survive
And joblessness and a lower standard of living will not quell the sexual drive
A gift from Nature to humans more humans to create
There is more to sexual pleasure than the urge to copulate
With that your children are an extension of your ego you well may not agree
Though without this thing called ego less births it would seem to me
Is it Nature gave us ego for the survival of our D N A?
Mine is only one opinion and make of it what you may
This Worldwide economic depression will not slow the birth rate down
In search of work young people will leave their village to move to the bigger town
To add to the urban population in numbers growing by the day
Climate change a bigger threat to humanity than economic depression far more so in every way
But times harder for all poor people when the economy is slowing
As the gap between the haves and have nots does keep steadily on growing.

Bertrand Russell

It may seem to your conceited to suppose that you can do anything important toward improving the lot of mankind. But this is a fallacy. You must believe that you can help bring about a better world. A good society is produced only by good individuals, just as truly as a majority in a presidential election is produced by the votes of single electors. Everybody can do something toward creating in his own environment kindly feelings rather than anger, reasonableness rather than hysteria, happiness rather than misery.

'Tis ungenerous and oppressive people create refugees
The people who risk their lives in leaky boats on the dangerous seas
In search of a better and safer life in a Land far away
From where they first looked on the bright lamp of day
'Tis the greed of the greedy create poverty
And cause homelessness and hunger and inequality
'Tis survival of the fittest as some are known to say
In a fair Human World it should not have to be this way
So many disadvantaged in the social divide
And the gap between the haves and the have nots is growing ever wide
And many grow poorer for every new millionaire
The minority own the most of the World's wealth and most are unwilling to share
Even a small percentage of their millions with those in most need
'Twould seem survival of the fittest has it's roots in greed.

The Creeping Is Of No Intent to Scare

I must warn you that the creeping,
Is of no intent to scare.
I must also say the creaking heard,
On the stairs...
Are from lack of use.
No need to glare at imagined steps...
No one through thin air will be produced.

Relax.
Enjoy.
Would you like a bit of light?
Or a sip of homemade juice.
Hmmm?
Forgive the darkness of my home.
I prefer to view you with my natural eyesight.
Before you are left,
Alone.
Just for a few moments.

Would you like to slip into something more comfortable?

'Yeah!
My car.
It's right outside.
C-ya.
You did say your were eccentric!
But this...
Is too much of a nervous visit.

What in the 'hell' is THAT? '

Why do you wish to leave...
So,
Abruptly?

Prudence?
Prudence?
Where are you?

Did you rub up against,
The leg of our guest?

*Meeeooowww.*

Why are you so naughty?
Hmmm?
Did you detect homophobia?

*Meeeooowww.*

NO?
Then what else could it have been?
No more than ten minutes here,
With me was spent.
Should I or should I not,
Feel offended?
Hmmm...
Perhaps a fear of bats,
Quickened the exit.

That Committee

Things here do not exist,
Because you have decided them to...
Or not!
Nor are one's feelings felt,
Depending on your approval...
At your finger snap and pop!
Or hands clapped with orders barked!

Somewhere, someone has implanted
Within you a time-released mental injury!
Sustained.
And seduced you,
With life threatening delusions.

Look out your window.
Do it now or later...
That doesn't matter.
But when you do...
See conflict?
Hunger?
Poverty and homelessness?
Perhaps restlessness?
Because of a joblessness...
You and yours infested.

Or invested...
Depending on how that is perceived!

These are the stresses,
Your ancestors have cursed us with!
Nothing in your history has nurtured,
Goodwill at all.
Deception?
Yes!

Do you think for one moment...
Your re-anactments of God,
Sit well with me?
They don't!
And you have yet to learn your lesson!
'That' is part of the equation,
Determining whether or not you survive!
And I am glad I am not on 'that' committee.
I hear they have documented your every move.
Maybe you'll be lucky...
And find them forgiving!

Nigger, Nigger, Nigger...NIGGUHS

No one bans
Ignorance
Disrespect
Racism and affects,
Of bigotry!
Corporate greed, lies and hypocrisy.
Or crime
Blatant thief
High taxes
Technology that creates suffering.
Degreed fools
The lost of jobs diminishing lifestyles.
Conflicts
Wars
Homelessness to aid those poor.
And there's an uproar,
Over the use of the word NIGGER?
I could care less what you call me!
I've got my pride and dignity intact!
And if it wasn't for 'niggers' being used...
There would be far less greatness
Others abuse and believe
They are better than concepts conceived!
On the backs of 'niggers'
Has enabled many to breathe...
In a false superiority that strengthens
Their self righteousness!
Calling me a 'nigger' doesn't eliminate hatred!
It just exposes the evidence,
Of a lack of self worth!
'Nigger, nigger, nigger! '
NIGGUHS
Everywhere!
Providing psychological comfort!

Shuffling Among the 'Nots

Shuffling among the 'nots'!
Those who have,
Can keep what they've got.
I like the nonchalants.
They seem to have...
Lots of moxie.

The 'haves' seem to shell out a lot.
All boxed in and slick like foxes.
The 'nots' don't mind downing shots.
From a bottle that's passed to a neighbor,
Who labors.
While the 'haves' always want to cop!
And sip champagne with caviar nonstop!

Shuffling among the 'nots'!
Those who have,
Can keep what they've got.
I like the nonchalants.
They seem to have...
Lots of moxie.

Nobody brags about who has finally made it!
Or give shade while eating marmalade.
Nobody I know fakes it.
If they got it in their pocket...
No one is amazed.

Or talk about their chauffeurs,
Or laying off lazy maids.

People Aren't Wearing Their Pretentions Anymore

One thing is certain.
And you will know this for sure!
Gone are those days,
When pretending to be someone's friend...
Has come to a halt!
That has finally come to an end!

People will be looking for evidence.
And just saying you have friends...
Is going to be more valued,
Than anything you 'thought' you owned.
The times we now live will reveal this!
And 'if' you have been working,
To maintain appearances?
Many will find those 'appearances' foreclosed!
Nothing they 'owned'
Can be shown!
Not so much from lack of payment...
But from an introduction to reality!
And 'this' many will find themselves lacking.
Since 'reality' for them produced no backing!
Few had kept track...
Of the importance of keeping,
Themselves attached to facts!

Now they run stunned,
From a truth that attacks!

A reality that crushes perceptions,
Of what is desired most!
Some will find a closeness is needed.
And deceptions will uncover...
Denials suffered and discovered.
With some in recovery,
Hopefully with others!

Someone is sought to be trusted,
These days.
And if you have rushed to purchase that trust...
Guess what?
You and what you have worked to achieve...
Is as useless as your fake smile!
That has been poisoned with this disease.
And 'that' is no longer the standard.
Or accepted like tantrums of a child!

Not in these times as folks are trying to find...
Something of substance that is far more reliable!
And a selective way of life and outlook,
Has become fruitless, unnourishing...
Outdated and passé!
Like judgements passed for quick trials!

People aren't wearing their pretentions anymore.
And you with your charades displayed,
May just find yourself...
Among those who are left,
Who are feeling not only guilt...
But a disgust that has been much betrayed!

That Millions Do Live In Poverty

That millions do live in poverty should never be seen as okay
The gap between the haves and the have nots keeps getting bigger by the day
Everyone should have the chance to live happy a home to live in and enough for to eat
There never should be slums and ghettos and never a poverty street,
That millions are born to live in poverty and to end their hard lives in despair
Only tells us if there's a god that god favours the wealthy and that god is not very fair
To leave millions homeless and dying of malnutrition the people condemned to die poor and young
In the refugee camps of the World live the displaced, the poor and unsung,
In the age of celebrity worship the poor in millions multiply
Why millions are destined to be poor don't ask me I wouldn't know why
Even in the World's wealthiest Countries poor people are no longer rare
And millions and millions of have nots in the bigger World out there
And millions are dying of hunger and millions are doing it tough
And millions are displaced and homeless and as refugees living it rough.
