In the Saying of That 'No
Sometimes people have to be told 'no.
No debate.
Just a 'no'.
And that is difficult,
To do that 'no'.
To let it go and be done.
Have you tried to say 'no'
To someone you love.
With the ripping out of your own heart,
In your hand.
Gripped around its beating...
And dripping blood.
No matter how you dramaticize that,
To someone...
Saying 'no' with no 'uh-huh' attached,
Can be devastating if handle incorrectly.
One who gets into a fix like this...
Should quietly remove themselves to another room,
To weep.
As quietly as possible.
Try not to give away any weak spots.
Knowing that in the saying of that 'no'...
Will get piercing dagger eye contact,
Throughout the upcoming week.
With or without sighted weaknesses.
Some dare to be told 'no'.
Some so close,

How right she was?
“Grandma, grandma” we may shout and usher in house
We may trouble her even with slight appearance of mouse
She was there for all practical purpose
We had no reason to guess for anything or suppose
She was towering strength at her age and guided
Her magic spell and words always blinded
We will not dare to defy her in any way
She will not feel bad we would keep certainly away
She had created paramount position
We accepted it as fine and well composition
She was philosopher, guide and everything
We will rush to her if something was not found or missing
If we don’t find her then we shall certainly miss her in the evening
We will find it difficult to forget any unusual happening
It will be difficult to sleep quietly in the night
We may feel something for not doing anything right
We may silently debate “How right she is?
“Even today God blesses in peaceful night”

We will try to forget the scuffle or swift fight
She may confide in me by saying

Selective Dieting
Yes, I admit...
I live where some,
Could not quietly sit...
Without having themselves medicated.
And I love the ambiance,
Of what had been once called a ghetto.
Where people like me,
Feel quite comfortable and free to be...
With a socializing done with neighbors I know.
While those 'existing' in sprawling suburban divisions,
Pretend with their mounting debt...
They enjoy living lives they do not regret!
And I enjoy making a sandwich materialized,
Out of thin air!
That's my response to the few I have visited there!
How they manage to do it?
By means of selective dieting!
Hey...
That's what I'm told.
So I go with what I know!
Although...
I want the taste of real mayonnaise and tomato,
On any whole wheat sandwich I make!
