If Our Sun Is A Star

Everyone living on Earth can see,
The Sun shining brightly...
With a radiance believed.

But when we leave this Earth,
Do we become stars...
To twinkle far?

And if our Sun is a star,
To shine brightly day and night...
Who and what is this,
Assigned to protect our existence?

Are we too not 'gods'...?
Here as a work-in-progress.
Awaiting to be assigned,
Somewhere in the Universe...
To exist eternally as 'divine'?

If not...
Why would God insist,
We exist to love Him first...
Above all others?

Twinkle

Twinkle twinkle little star
How did you ever get so far
From where I thought that you would be?
Shining with joy, ever so brilliantly

Don’t ever fall from grace
Because I would only wish you back
Right back to your rightful place

Twinkle twinkle little star
I most certainly know who you are
And just who you might be
But for now I admire how you shine so brightly

Because I cannot touch you
For it is just not the time
So I reach out instead in this childish rhyme

Twinkle twinkle, my shooting star
Sear me with your heat, leave a scar
So that if you should disappear
I would always remember that I once had you here

In the palm of my hand
But your warmth is too much to bear
That’s why its from afar I stand

Twinkle twinkle my little star
Esta estrella que no deseo apagar
Because you must shine in spite of yourself
Vibrantly shimmering despite what’s left

No matter if this star I ever attain
I will forever cherish its presence
Because from it something I gained

I’m so glad I know just who you are
Up above my world so high
More beautiful than a diamond caught in the sky

A Star Speaks

In this universe so vast and wide
why do we humans run and hide
from the fact that there just might be
other beings different than we?
So many stars up in the skies
shining down like so many eyes
look right down and say to you
'There are others out there
that are in my view.'

Do not fear the multitudes of others
that just like you have sisters and brothers.
The day will arrive when all will say
if only you weren't so far away
you could teach us how to live with love
and how not to kill a soul.
We have never learned that here on earth
and still we play that role.

As a star that's shining in the night
I see all that's not in your sight.
I've watched and learned for eons of years
that the humans on earth cry too many tears.
And as I burn up and exist no more
my light still shines on each distant shore.
I wait for all to find each other
and revel in the differences in one another.

And when my light is gone and dies
I'll remember the song of children'; s eyes.

Shine O Moon! Shine brightly now
for my beloved
is coming to kindle
the fire of love.

Unending seemed to be the nights
succumbing to death were diminishing lights
his appearance illuminates now
my temple of love.

Never is she shut #never is she shut

You are my Sun.
You are now set.
You brought me dawn
Everyday at ten.
You sent me dusk
Everyday at five.
Weekend two days,
You left me in dark.

You shone on me for brief,
But heavily, brightly
And deeply with warmth.
That referred warmth
Spread all the night.
I felt the shine of my Sun,
Off the dusk, at full night.
My night is brightly lit.

Now my sun is set.
Where is my dawn?
Where is my dusk?
Where is the sunny day?
Where is my beauty?
Who will there be to lit
My night-full day?
And dreaded night?

You be a Moon, now on.
Waxing and waning,
Be always on horizon
So that there comes
Once a while a full-moon,
To imbue me with life.
My day-less night
Is lit with Moonlight.

You be my stars, farther.
You twinkle and twinkle
At me high from horizon!
With your news, beckon!
With your heart, command!
I am in the bath of starlight.

My sun, though, is set,
No dark is there at night.
She is there as Moon.

Star Light Star Bright

'star light star bright'
eons passed by
into earth's womb
sunk into oceans
diluted into galaxies
and you're the same
'twinkle twinkle
little star...'
when the ancient me
roamed the length and breadth
of the expanding space
and intriguing earth
you were the one guiding me
now with not much wonder
left in life
earth bound woes
never allowing a gaze

Wandering Thoughts for J.T.Ellison

Pale blue deepens to indigo.
Night is descending peacefully
On cue the stars begin to show
far distant lights that brightly glow.

Some twinkle, some shine steadily
which I accept quite readily.
Some things I’m not allowed to know.
Beyond my capability

to understand so I don’t try.
Although I sometimes wonder why
some stars appear to twinkle so.
As if to try and catch my eye

If this is so then they succeed
in capturing my interest
with signals that I cannot read
Although I do my very best.

I’m certain that we’re are not alone,
though others may think otherwise.
That somewhere in he great unknown
some other beings watch the skies.

In wonder as they contemplate
the vastness of the universe.
The twinkling stars which fascinate.
may be attempting to converse.

Across light years of empty space
to end their isolation.
Make contact with another race
This is a thought I dwell upon.

A foolish dream it may well be.
At least it occupies my mind
I sit in thoughtful reverie
and leave my worries all behind.

I watch the darkening of the sky
which indicates that day is done.
The hours of twilight quickly fly
they linger briefly then are gone.

Although the laws of gravity
attempt to dictate boundaries.
Imagination sets me free
to wander where and how I please.
