I Will Shut You Down
If I am familiar with your negativity...
And I will shut you down.
There is nothing encouraging,
You have ever shared with me.
And a communication between us...
Is not here to be found.
I've given years of patience.
Listening to you dance and sing.
Beating around bushes you do.
And only delusions from them you bring.
You wish for me to agree,
That a life lived doesn't offer opportunities.
And when I awaken each day feeling blessed,
To witness dawn...
Your obsession with darkness,
Is there for you in a mind that darkness...
You wish to carry on!
I've given years of patience.
Listening to you dance and sing.
Beating around bushes you do.
And only delusions from them you bring.
If I am familiar with your negativity...
And I will shut you down.
There is nothing encouraging,
You have ever shared with me.
And a communication between us...
Is not here to be found.
I seek a freshness to breathe.
Not the sounds heard from one...
Consumed within limitation.
With a mind determined to spread negativity.
I will shut you down!

There Is Still Some Time Left Before the Dawn!
To those who dare to defy convention...
Shut up!
To those who intent to awaken and shake,
Those in pretentions they can not break.
To those conforming to a higher consciouness...
Shut up!
There are those still asleep,
As they cheat and play roulette with their lives!
Shut up...
They might hear,
Something that stops their addictions!
And the nonsense uncovered in their false traditions.
Shut up...
There is still some time left before the dawn!
And those who know what is going on,
Are trying to get a nap.
A rest before delusions end...
To begin the cracking of those minds that snap!

Implanted Tragedies
What could be possibly said,
About that which is observed and denied?
When those are exposed to treason imposed...
And yet wish to protect this deception they chose.
It is best to shut and keep one's mouth closed.
Or defamation of character becomes a campaign toast.
But either way...
A stepping on one's toes is desrespectfully displayed.
What could be possibly said,
About what is there and on our streets?
With no direct discussion concerning what disgusts,
Other than what fibered diet is suitable for a regular flush...
That can not be beaten with a cleansing complete.
Without negativity thrusted with more trust,
That erupts!
People feed on corruption as if being fed a treat.
What could be possibly said,
To those addicted to be lead.
And be fed delusions they fight,
To keep in their heads in darkness,
As if glued to ensure this remains inside,
Snug fitting with a tightness instead.
While those who express they could care less,
Yet complain...
Seem to have a desire to inspire this,
As missions to claimed.
Leaving one to wonder,
Why many read the obituaries...
With a priority to see if their names are there.
Or someone they knew,
But never approached to speak to.
By the same folks who declare a devotion,
To communal unity with an ongoing hypocrisy.
What could be possibly said,
About these implanted tragedies.
Without negativity thrusted with more trust,
That erupts!
People feed on corruption as if being fed a treat.
What could be possibly said,
To awaken the dead?
Absolutely nothing!

Strange But True
Okay, let me say this quick - before I start 2 cry
Ure the only one that I gave it 2, the one I fantasised 4
And time away from u has taught me
What I should have known
That this hole Im trying 2 fill with another - yeah, its grown
And I got your package
But when I tried 2 write back I bailed
See, trying 2 express the future, sometimes language fails
And over this time Ive learned
My life force is increased by knowing u
Every door that closes, another one opens
Strange but true
Strange but true
No regrets because I forget the unfamiliar faces
Those petty lies and alibis, just golddiggas chasing
Dreams of sovereignty, they tried to come between u and me
A curse therein set forces a chain of events
That only freed me when I remembered
Where I was and who I am
The only prince that will ever rule this holy land
All understand and all standunder this affirmation now
By the power invested in me by god...
All negativity bows
Strange but true, lets see what u can do
U may have lost me, but I found myself
The ones who love me without condition - this is my wealth
And with these words I will win
Repeat them over and over again
All understand and all standunder this affirmation now
By the power invested in me by god...
All negativity bows
All negativity bows
All negativity bows
Strange but true, lets see what u can do
Strange but true, lets see what u can do
All negativity bows
(strange but true)
(strange but true)
Strange but true (true, true...)
All negativity bows
(strange but true, lets see what u can do)
All negativity bows
(all negativity bows)
Strange but true
Strange but true
(strange but true)
(strange but true)
Strange but true

For This They Have Reason to Walk Proud
With a loss of communication between them done,
What could be mending without comprehension?
Without that factor!
What understanding is being shared,
If none is allowed to be there?
And how effective have those of negativity been?
I would say they have been remarkably successful.
Wouldn't you?
They have achieved division and distance.
Motivated by envy and jealousy.
And for this they have reason to walk proud!

Dawn Finally Arises
Anyone who has ever remained persistent,
With a fluid consistency...
Has met some opposition.
And is familiar with negativity.
It takes the gritting of teeth.
And the biting of nails,
To prevail even when failure may be in sight.
With a nipping at the heels of one refusing defeat.
And suddenly it seems,
That nothing but nightmares...
Have come to replace hopes and dreams,
When dawn finally arises to clear a bright horizon.
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
It looks much different,
From rumors fed...
Of a dawn that would never turn on.
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness it to see,
For myself.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
It looks much different,
From rumors fed...
Of a dawn that would never turn on.
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness it to see,
For myself.
It looks a lot different,
The dawn!
When it is witnessed,
The dawn!
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness and to see it,
For myself.

Even If Neither One Of Us Admits It
My life is not consumed by negativity.
To mention that which exists,
Is to acknowledge it for what it is.
To ignore that which is to ignore,
With a hope one day it will go away...
Well,
Does little for my imagination.
Nor does it benefit the reality...
Of a life I wish to live,
In complete consciousness.
My life is not consumed by negativity.
However...
The way you choose to view 'your' life,
Is entirely your business.
We need not form a partnership.
Or argue in debate over our differences.
Both of us will still seem to benefit.
Even if neither one of us admits it.

Searching To Pass An Exaggeration
Rarely are those of deed doing,
Heard or seen flashing a résumé around...
To impress those within listening distance.
Or found searching to pass,
An exaggeration of accomplishments.
And rarely are those of optimistic conversation,
Known to gossip or deflate another's achievements.
But there are times when encouraging words,
Are expressed...
There will be those to address them,
With a negativity some enjoy as if to infest.
Environments wherever lived,
Are diminished by these activities.
And those who spew from tainted lips,
Do not recognize that is what they do!
They are a part of the whole...
But not amongst the few,
Who energize and supply a motivation felt...
That is quickly delivered when it arrives!
And rarely does one like this,
Show up late with excuses to initiate sparks...
That causes others to react,
With an attacking done on those lethargic.
An apathetic atmosphere seems to drift,
When boosted with a lift by those determine.
Irritating pessimists and the ones accustomed,
To clinging onto their procrastinations.

Shut-Up And Smile
It's not the end of the world
In fact its not even the end of the summer
But thank God the TV is on
Cause theres no way we could know
Anything thats going down
Or How we're supposed to be feeling about it
I can't tell you how much I wish we could Shut up and Smile
Yeah
Sail around the world and tell them all to keep singing it
La-la-la-la-la
All we need's a hamony and we'll convince the world to sing
La-la-la-la-la
Throw your arms around someone (Throw your arms around someone)
Maybe spread a little love
I know it sounds a little dumb (Maybe I'm a little drunk)
But all we need is some ice-cream and a hug
Take a good look around
Does life really suck? Are we just complaining?
I hope that this mic is on (testing 1,2)
Cause I'm on a role here
I hope this is making some sense
I hope that you'll throw up your hands and sing it
And tell all the haters that they should just shut up and smile
But all we need is some ice-cream
All we need is love and beer and old school medal and holiday cheer to be happy
All you need is someone near (like ben & jerrys)
To hold you close and pretend that they care
Cant we all just get along now?
We found something that we've all got in common now
We can hold hands
Do kegs dance
Water ski it sounds great to me now
Sail around the world and tell them all to keep singing it
La-la-la-la-la
All we need's a hamony and we'll convince the world to sing
La-la-la-la-la
Throw your arms around someone (Throw your arms around someone)
Maybe spread a little love
I know it sounds a little dumb (Maybe I'm a little drunk)
But all we need is some ice-cream and a hug (X4)
All we need is love and beer (X4)

To Dust Up
As a learning experience,
It is much more difficult...
To expect anyone to listen,
Than it is to teach them...
The difference between how and why,
A listening done will affect their time.
And the taking of it for granted...
Is something no one should do.
And one's expectations that the wasting of it,
Is going to gain empathy...
From those who had patience to sit with a listening,
No matter how bored one gets going through the process...
Is going to prevent a slipping of time,
To rush through their fingers.
With opportunities set aside waiting for anyone's decision,
To be made and done with a seletive picking to come.
Once an aging process starts and is noticed,
There is no playing of hide and seek with it...
To disregard those believing they have hidden in safe places.
Since in most cases everyone will be found.
Either forgotten to eventually dismiss.
Or stored away on top awaiting somewhere,
To be lowered into the ground...
With eyes and ears shut to dust up...that's it!

Dependence On Negativity
Your demons have you convinced,
The life you live without me...
Would be better spent,
Not listening!
And the benefit from this,
Affords you to live...
A life lived without comprehension.
One acheived without common sense!
Follow I do your movements from the sidelines.
Hoping one day you will awaken to find...
Wasting time trying to redefine,
How to accept me in your mind...
Has limited you to doubt and misunderstanding.
Deception based upon your perception,
I have plans to manipulate your independence...
Is that continuous inner dialogue you keep,
With your belief a dependency on negativity relieves!
It is you not me living day to day in desperation.
However...
It is your happiness that has been blocked,
And confined.
Not mine!
That is the only freedom I know...
I have here to share with fresh air to breathe.

Listening
Listening.
And being there for someone loved...
To do just that!
With a mind willing,
To be receptive and clear...
Of opinions sitting,
On the tip of one's tongue.
With a giving of attention,
And staying mum.
Listening to someone.
Listening is not easily done.
For those who have experienced...
A life in which peace of mind has come.
When a listening ear,
Had not been volunteered by no one.
And some who know this...
Do their best to sit with patience.
Listening with no other reason...
But to be there as is wished.
For someone who has selected you,
Just for this.

Expressing Their Discontent
Those who befriend others,
By expressing their discontent...
Of what takes place in a shared environment,
Need to be distanced...
From that kind of negativity mentioned.
Being caught up in another's bitterness,
To add to one's priority list...
Does not do anything to rid one from it.
And when others are participating...
More minds get stuck in accepting of this.
Those who befriend others,
By expressing their discontent...
Of what takes place in a shared environment,
Need to be distanced...
From that kind of negativity mentioned.
And there is nothing like an experience,
That teaches one what to accept...
And what from one should be resisted.

Selective Hearing
'I can't.
I wont.'
So...
I image you will never ever,
Either.
Have it your way.
You are what you feed on to 'eat'.
'I did not say that!
Why are you attempting,
To lay your negativity...
On me? '
I believe you have elected to have selective hearing.
Or...
Maybe I misinterpret your expressed thoughts.
From your lips to my mind they were brought.
N'est pas?
'Non mon ami.'
When you say, 'I can't! '
In my mind I connect to 'never'.
When you say, 'I wont! '
An 'ever' is automatically attached to that.
'Well...
I didn't mean it that way.'
Whatever way you meant it,
Cemented that as if an affirmation.
'I expected you to be supportive.'
I 'still' expect you to be accountable.
And frankly,
I don't think you are capable!
Now...
THAT is negativity.

Get Up. Shut Up. And Move
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
If you want things to improve,
You've got to...
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Nobody's living their life for you.
While you sit back,
To approve what they do!
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Nobody is here to pamper you.
You've been much too spoiled,
And selfish too!
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.
Get up.
Shut up,
And move.

Break...
I'm about to break!
I need room to breathe... (x3)
I cannot take this anymore
Saying everything Ive said before
All these words, they make no sense
I found bliss in ignorance
Less I hear, the less you say
But you'll find that out anyway
I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts, they make no sense
I found bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again (x5)
Just like before...
Everything you say to me
And I'm about to break!
I need a little room to breathe
I'm about to break!
Everything you say to me
And I'm about to break!
I need a little room to breathe
And I'm about to break!
Break!
These are the places where I can't feel
Torn from my body, my flesh it heals
During this ride we can cut up what we like
Waiting alone I can not resist
Feeling this hate I have never missed
Please someone give me a reason to rip off my face
Blood is a pouring and pouring and pouring..
Shut up when I'm talking to you!
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up when I'm talking to you!
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up! (blood is pouring)
Shut up! Im about to break!
Everything you say to me
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
I'm about to break
Everything you say to me
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
And Im about to..
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to..

Hurt
A new feeling grows inside me
Can't take away the black sky
I'm too afraid to use new colors
Wave the older man goobye
I was drowning in the ocean
I couldn't keep my head up
No one ever helped me fighting
No one ever seemed to mind
Close your eyes don't be shy
There's no need to shut the light
Just try to leave it all behind
If you're ok I'll be fine
You know there's something for me
It just needs to be found
It hurts to know I'm crawling
Why do I feel so betrayed
Tell me when the sky stops falling
Will there be another day
Close your eyes don't be shy
There's no need to shut the light
Just try to leave it all behind
If you're ok I'll be fine
You know there's something for me
It just needs to be found
Needs to be found
Needs to be found
Close your eyes don't be shy
There's no need to shut the light
Just try to leave it all behind
If you're ok I'll be fine

Morning
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to awaken under a cover,
the chance to awaken and see your lover,
the chance to open your eyes and know
that love is what makes your life flow.
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to breathe on a new day,
the chance to write and have my say,
the chance to listen to music I love,
the chance to take myself above
all negativity that comes my way.
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to have more time to spend,
the chance to correct my flaws and mend
all of them the best that I can,
the chance to remember how I began.
All of these morning times are great
and if they're not, it's then I await
for them to return to what they mean
and bring back my blessed morning scene.

Hypothetically Speaking
How can experiences lived,
Be shared positively.
In conversations,
That are openly expressed...
As being constructive.
And direct and honest,
As a one on one can be.
A restless figeting begins.
When the listener is young...
And filled with deluded apprehensions,
Mentioned.
And an impatience that sits,
Begins to reveal less tolerance with this.
How can any experience lived,
In certain circumstances...
Cause one's mind to drift,
With a secret wish...
To leave not a single fingerprint?
When applying methods of strangulation,
~Are you listening to me?
No one cares or listens to me.~
*Oh I'm listening to you, darling.
With unequivocal intent! *
Or...
Should one consider,
Being convicted of premeditated murder?
Hypothetically speaking,
Of course.
'Wouldn't it be cheaper,
Just to seek a divorce?
Instead of repeatedly beating a dead horse? '
What if it's a son,
Or a thick headed daughter?
'What if it's a sentence,
Of twenty years or more...
For perpetrating manslaughter? '
What if it's a one way trip to the Bahamas?
To never again feel guilt.
Or be visited by remorse.
'You said 'hypothetically speaking' this is? '
Huh?
Oh...
Yes!
Of course.

Listen
I've lived 70 years and what have I learned?
Keep your mouth shut with ears open and you won't get burned.
I often talked thoughtlessly instead of listening well.
All the opportunities that this cost me is hard to tell.
My life would have been broader if I listened to new things said.
But I was too busy coddling old ideas molding in my head.
As for friends and colleagues, I offended more than my share.
With an attitude that my ideas were the only ones that were fair.
So after 70 years there's just one thought I'd like to emphasize…
During your life learn to listen to others, oh please listen, and you'll become wise.
