I Learn From Observation
I learn,
From observation.
Accepting a yearning.
With a consciousness attached.
I disbelieve what I hear,
Most times.
Until my curiousity strikes.
And unleashes with nosiness as a devotion!
Gathering facts becomes an obsession.
And stumbling over something ignored...
Usually reminds me,
I need to pay more attention.

Don't Make Me Go
Don't...
Make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
Don't...
Make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
Let's make this work.
We can.
Let's make this work.
We can.
And...
Don't make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
Don't make me go.
Don't ever...
Disbelieve.
Let's make this work.
We can.
Let's make this work.
We can.
And...we can!
Don't make me go.
Don't...
Make me,
Disbelieve.
Don't make me go.
Don't...
Let them win,
With deceit!
Let's make this work.
We can.
Let's make this work.
We can.
And we can now!
What did you hear?
Who did you hear it from?
What did they say?
I've been the faithful one.
Did you doubt me?
Please don't doubt...
What you see!
Don't be blinded,
By those misdeeds.
Don't...
Make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
I wish you knew me...
Like you should!
Please come and let's be...
Like we could,
Drop what's misunderstood!
And...
Let's make this work.
We can.
Let's make this work.
We can.
And...we can!
What did you hear?
Who did you hear it from?
What did they say?
I've been the faithful one.
Did you doubt me?
Without 'us' there's no 'we' to be!
Don't...
Make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
Don't...
Make me go.
Don't make me,
Disbelieve.
Please believe,
In our love!

You've Attached Yourself to Me
You've attached yourself to me.
For purposes you choose to keep...
Discreet and secret.
And unconfessed.
As if to suggest...
Your intentions are nothing more,
Than to deceive with an intent...
I will come to disbelieve,
This is not the intention meant.
You asked how I would feel,
If from you I became detached?
You've attached yourself to me.
My peace of mind from me will not leave.
Since you had nothing to do with that!
Remember...
You've attached yourself to 'me'?
And I'm too honest with myself,
Not to recognize...
Manipulations that arrive,
With lies expressed in clouded eyes.

Devotion
If I am right
If I can be
Constant and faithful
Youll find me
In my devotion
In my devotion
What if you find a fault
Between my purpose and my deeds
And deem me beyond salvation
Judge me to be unworthy
Of your devotion
Of your devotion
If this be obsession deliver me
A passing infatuation deliver me
A feeling lacking in purity deliver me
A test of fidelity deliver me
Deliver me
Deliver me
What if I should find
Youre no good for me
What if I cant be strong enough
What if I cant break free
Of my devotion
Of my devotion

Everything Reminds Me Of Her
I never really had a problem because of leaving
But everything reminds me of her this evening
So if I seem a little out of it, sorry
But why should I lie?
Everything reminds me of her
The spin of the earth impaled a silhouette of the sun on the steeple
And I got to hear the same sermon all the time now from you people
Why are you staring into outer space, crying?
Just because you came across it, and lost it
Everything reminds me of her
Everything reminds me of her
Everything reminds me of her

Nothing is as it seems.......
Love,
is just hate in a disguise.
Hate,
is obsession wearing a mask.
Obsession,
it's just overpowered passion.
Passion,
is unnecessary attention.
Attention,
does anybody need it?
Nothing is as it seems.
Not even life.

Obsession for man
Obsession for man
~
Obsession for man
Needing to know
Wanting to discover
Where they have been
What they are wearing
Each thought and word
Must be known completely
Discovery without mystery
Leaves no hiding place
Crave a response
Track, trace and fish for it
Their attention drawn
Into a picture of the self
Its sexually perverse
Chemically incorrect
The obsession of man
A sell out fragrance

Eloquently Stated
You keep insisting to connect yourself with values,
I can not identify.
Like honesty.
You are constantly in hide and seek mode.
So honesty you may wish exists.
But from you...
That does not show.
Devotion and loyalty?
The words I hear.
But those actions from you I disbelieve.
Unless they have been gift wrapped...
And you're presenting them now to me!
Trust?
I've seen that scrawled on the side a bus.
Were you on it?
And your wave escaped my attention?
You keep insisting to connect yourself with values,
I can not identify.
Not with you.
But then again...
You always fantasized yourself a magician.
And I do have a wish you can fulfill.
You can snap your fingers and disappear.
Leaving us both to keep that secret to ourselves.
How is that for accomodating both of our desires?
As you have so eloquently stated!

Until Your Face Turns Blue Or Red
You can attack what I've said all you want.
In fact you have an open invitation.
But you will never be able to decipher,
What is in my head.
You can dig with a shovel...
Until your face turns blue or red.
To chill or heat from what's been said.
Or determine to conclude from what you've read!
You are not aware from where my thoughts begin.
Or 'who' is behind the 'what'
That influences them!
There is a process that has no specific beginning,
Or an ending that could satisfy me within.
My tongue unleashes with words that seem to spin...
From eyes I have not yet seen,
And apparently neither does 'this thing' screen.
Revealing with a meaning,
From other dimensions we exist in!
Defining with comprehension,
As I receive these mental visions.
I am used like a human instrument...
With a consciousness,
I am neither for nor against...
As I am just the participant.
And accepting how this happens without a defense,
That pleases me to know it is intended!
Like you,
I too am a witness!

To You I Am Attached
To you I am attached
and our love is never only common,
it becomes something that never does lapse,
it expels the great longing
and sometimes its intensity scares me
when continually you look more beautiful.
To you I am attached
and our love is never only common,
it's much deeper than any other yearning,
when you look at me with sunshine glances
you do look really glamorous
and to me you are of critical importance;
to you I am attached
and our love is never only common.

Proof Of Their Evidence
Isn't it amazing,
What other people often admit...
They too can do?
After it has been noticed,
Someone who has for years struggled...
And criticized as being and a joke and a fool,
To now have others make claims...
That what someone has exposed and done,
Is not the only one with dedication and devotion...
But like anyone else who could have done the same thing.
And the one given the attention an spotlighted,
Is no exception!
'Yes.
I hear this all the time,
But...
Where were they and their evidence?
And where are the facts producing the fruits of their labors?
Anthing!
I'll even set up an audition,
To quiet their complaints.'
Well...
Thats' the problem.
No one seems to be able to find the time.
'Oh.
I see.
And who amongst us,
Is given extra time....
To sacrifice in the doing of what gets done?

Picture Of Perfect Youth
Left out in the sun to dry again, washed up on a shore line south of spain
Gazing up with telescopic eyes, planetary life above the skies
Oh my god, shes my obsession, my obsession (my obsession)
Here she comes, shes a picture of perfect youth
Here she comes, lifting me up to the moon
Drifting on a boat in emerald seas, pulling on the strings inside of me
Tasting salt as waves dive over me, twisting on a rope of memories
Oh my god, shes my obsession, my obsession
Here she comes, shes a picture of perfect youth
Here she comes, lifting me up to the moon
Here she comes, shes a picture of perfect youth
Here she comes
If you could only see, that Im sinking like a stone
The sea is getting colder, every second as I go
Its like breathing underwater, but I just cant let you go
My obsession, shes my obsession, my obsession
Oh my god, shes my obsession, my obsession (my obsession)
Here she comes, shes a picture of perfect youth
Here she comes, lifting me up to the moonoh my god, shes my obsession, my obsession (my obsession)
Here she comes, shes a picture of perfect youth
Here she comes, lifting me up to the moon
Here she comes

You only learn when you give your whole being to something. When you give your whole being to mathematics, you learn; but when you are in a state of contradiction, when you do not want to learn but are forced to learn, then it becomes merely a process of accumulation. To learn is like reading a novel with innumerable characters; it requires your full attention, not contradictory attention.

There are three principal means of acquiring knowledge. . . observation of nature, reflection, and experimentation. Observation collects facts; reflection combines them; experimentation verifies the result of that combination.

Overnight Observation
(j. farrar/t. snow)
Looks like Im the only one here
Even the nurse is gone
But I guess I should wait cause when she left, she said
The doctor wont be long
So make yourself at home
His office is down the hall
Why do I feel uneasy?
I know he must be good
Got credentials all over the wall
I hear a voice behind me say
What seems to be the trouble, my dear?
Wont you be kind enough to step over here
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
Please dont think me ungrateful
But holding me overnight
Seems a little extreme
Do you always serve martinis
And turn the lights down low
Doctor, do your colleagues know?
Although you say its good for me
I really dont feel like dancing now
Somebodys waiting
And Im double-parked anyhow
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
Now, I may look stupid
But Ill tell you what, Ive been around a long time
And I thought I had heard everything
I tell you, they keep coming up with them
I just couldnt believe my ears when he said:
Kick off your shoes, relax my dear
Slip into something comfortable
Two seconds flat, Im out the door and down the hall
It might be fever
It might be flu
To isolate it, Ill have to hold you
Overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
In my opinion
All we can do to isolate it
Ill hold you overnight (observation)
Overnight (observation)
