I Don't Subject Myself

I don't subject myself to rudeness,
Or condone it where I go.
I see some prude who allow this crudeness...
As if ignoring it doesn't make it so!

I've earned the right to be respected,
I don't expect with demand that it's there.
But I do reject,
An offensiveness I get.
And I let it be known...
With me those actions,
Are not to be shown.

'And 'who' are YOU? '

I'm a grown man...
I don't have to prove that is true!

I don't subject myself to rudeness,
Or condone it where I go.
I see some prude who allow this crudeness...
As if ignoring it doesn't make it so!

And I don't mind,
Removing myself.
With a dignity I command...
And walking out your door!

Never to return anymore!

Leaving me and you too,
With an understanding of who I am...
If and when I should come around again,
And a common sense by then is found.
Hopefully!

That Doesn't Make Sense

Wait a minute?
That doesn't make sense!
Because you have become successful...
Doing what you have always done,
They feel you will become less successful,
If they ignored you?
I don't get it!
That doesn't make sense!
Haven't they always ignored you?
And you, them?
Wait a minute?
That doesn't make sense!
If you ignored them better than they have ignored you,
Wouldn't that make you even more successful?
And that's what you've done in the first place?
Maybe they're trying to get you to notice they're ignoring you?
And you're not paying them any attention?
But that's what's going on anyway?
Wait a minute?
That doesn't make sense!

'I know!
And less of it is being made everyday!
Hopefully this will become very lucrative? '

Epigram on Women - 0521 - after Amos Bronson Alcott - also attributed to James Mathew Barrie

Oh the goodness of their goodness when they're good,
and the prudeness of their prudeness when they're prude,
but the goodness of their goodness, and the prudeness of their prudeness
are as nothing to their lewdness when they're lewd.

Oh the lewdness of their lewdness when they're lewd,
and the nudeness of their nudity when viewed,
but the lewdness of their lewdness and the nudity of nudeness
are as nothing to their prudeness when pursued!

Epigram on Women
Oh, the gladness of their gladness when they're glad,
and the sadness of their sadness when they're sad,
but the gladness of their gladness and the sadness of their sadness
are as nothing to their badness when they're bad!

Oh, the shrewdness of their shrewdness when they are shrewd,
And the rudeness of their rudeness when they're rude;
But the shrewdness of their shrewdness and the rudeness of their rudeness,
Are as nothing to their goodness when they're good!

Pure prejudice

A prude regards all nudes as rude
unchanging in their attitude.
Which they perceive as rectitude.
A sign of their ineptitude
They cannot see as pulchritude
the naturalness of being nude.
The will allow no latitude,
just being bare to them is lewd.
It must be sad to be a prude.
Because they have misunderstood
that being nude need not be rude
It need be neither lewd nor crude
Reluctantly I must conclude
that once a prude always a prude.

She Has Skeletons In Her Closet

She doesn't want to admit who she is
Cause she has too many skeletons in her closet
She doesn't know that she's on a self-destructive path
But she doesn't even know it
She wanted to keep the relationship going,
but no one informed her it was over before it started
Cause she's not aware of her skeletons anymore
She thinks ignoring them will make them go away
Boy is she misinformed, but she didn't get the notice
She's gonna have a rude awakening
I wish i could be there to help her through it
But she fucked that one up
She had a clue but then she took a wrong turn
She's going to have a hard life
and no one can help her

Unchanging Law

Jesus is God, this I proclaim, and Jesus as God, remains the same,
Two as one may sound strange, but, Jesus as God doesn’t change;
The Law God had fingered in stone, today, is Law for all of His own,
Laws given to Moses on Mt. Sinai, were instituted also for you and I.

Our Lord today, in who we trust, remains today, both Pure and Just,
The Law that was given to Israel, is the basis of God’s present Rule,
Of The Law, that God has willed, every jot and tittle shall be fulfilled,
And Christ, as the unchanging God, shall return to rule with Iron Rod.

But, many who profess His Name, do not view God’s Law the same,
Ignoring all that led to Israel’s fall, they make changes to God’s Law,
Adopting what God calls idolatry, they provoke The God of Eternity,
Not recalling He’s a jealous God, they condone the idols, with a nod.

God’s pure Justice will not be denied, in this Age that we now reside,
For God has His unchanging plan, that includes every believing man,
Even as we’re in the Age of Grace, His Law remains for men of faith,
God’s not subject to changing rules, instituted by the religious fools.

The Law that God has put in place, carries through the Age of Grace,
An unchanging standard of Justice, to be enforced, by Christ Jesus,
God’s Truth, not in part but whole, shall be used to judge every soul,
As we all stand before Jesus Christ, The Only Author of Eternal Life.

Determined to Be Me

I do the best I can...
To be a better man than I am!
I can understand,
Why you don't acknowledge me.
I am not looking for your attention...
Nor your sympathy.
I am one who doesn't have that need!

When I greet you with a smile,
I don't expect one returned.
I've watched you over time and found...
You carry hatred like it is earned.

That crap about turning the other cheek,
Is not my style at all!
I've seen the acts of so called christians...
And there are many lessons,
From 'those' hypocrites I have learned.

I am not about to carry a banner...
To make a statement of my stance!
If I decide to wear pants,
Or a dress with heels...
Believe me when I say,
Your opinions about me
And who and what I am...
Doesn't change the way I feel!

In fact my experiences...
Of 'this' man that I am,
Took me time to realize...
Ignoring people like you,
Strengthened my stand!
And clarified my stance.

So forget about your rhetoric.
You are neither the cause,
Or the effect of my plan!
I am determined to be me!
With or without an approval from you,
That sees and/or agrees!

My mission here on this Earth...
From my birth,
Has always been to please God.
And He knows my value,
And appreciates my worth!

Just Because

Just because you did
Doesn't mean that you should
Just because you can
Doesn't mean that you could
Just because you are able
Doesn't mean you would
Just because you sat
Doesn't mean you should‘ve stood.
Just because you spoke
Doesn't mean that you thought
Just because you looked
Doesn't mean that you sought
Just because you argued
Doesn't mean that you fought
Just because you dreamed
Doesn't mean that you wished not.
Just because you cried
Doesn't mean that you wept
Just because you had
Doesn't mean that you kept
Just because you cleaned
Doesn't mean that you swept
Just because you said yes
Doesn't mean that you accept.
Just because you gathered
Doesn't mean that you own
Just because you gave up
Doesn't mean that you were alone
Just because you saw
Doesn't mean that you were shown
Just because you expiate
Doesn't mean you should atone.
Just because your old
Doesn't mean that you have flaws
Just because you won
Doesn't mean you have to applause
Just because you waited
Doesn't mean that you paused
Just because you were you
Doesn't mean anything, because.

Love Doesn't Ask Why

Love doesn't ask why
It speaks from the heart
And never explains
Don't you know that
Love doesn't think twice
It can come all at once
Or whisper from a distance

Don't ask me if this feeling's right or wrong
It doesn't have to make much sense
It just has to be this strong
'Cause when you're in my arms I understand
We don't try to have a voice
When our hearts make the choices
There's no plan
It's in our hands

Love doesn't ask why
It speaks from the heart
And never explains
Don't you know that
Love doesn't think twice
It can come all at once
Or whisper from a distance

Now I can feel what you're afraid to say
If you give your soul to me
Will you give too much away
We can't let this moment pass us by
Can't question this chance
Or expect any answers
We can try
But love doesn't ask you why

[Instrumental]

So let's take what we found
And wrap it around us

Love doesn't ask why
It speaks from the heart
And never explains
Don't you know that
Love doesn't think twice
It can come all at once
Or whisper from a distance

Love doesn't ask why

Work so hard to f*ckin' make I don't get why we can't do
What we want to when it doesn't hurt you I don't get it
I don't get why we can't smoke
Just because you say it's bad
What mother nature chose to grow I don't get it I don't why we should change
What we said here to so
We dont have to expalin I don't get it I can't make sense of anything

O my mind

O my mind!
Don’t remember her so much:
You know she is fully out of my touch!

O my mind!
Don’t remember her so much.
O my mind!
No please No No No No No!

O my mind!
Don’t go for her door:
She doesn’t love you anymore!

O my mind!
Knock another door:
She doesn’t need you anymore!

O my mind!
Leave the love’s dance floor:
She doesn’t want you anymore!

Death ignored

Death is the common denominator among us all,
It doesn’t matter how high or where we go, we will fall,
This is a deadly subject you seldom hear or read about,
But some day in your future, you will die, so have no doubt.

Some of us manage to delay death for a year or two,
It may be delayed but it can’t be avoided when it’s due,
I should apologize now for causing you to think about death,
But death-with-dignity could soften the punch, you bet.

They have it in Switzerland, Oregon and other places,
But our politicians wont touch this problem right in our faces,
In the middle of an election campaign and it’s not spoken,
Is this subject forbidden or is our communications broken.

Sonnet 2

my mind's eye from outer eye remove.
make senseless the argument of sense
that beauty not subject to sense prove
nor object to time that takes you hence.
then, mind from eye withdrawn,
in dark, sense may shine bright
and mind itself your beauty form,
forming mind to your illuminate.
but not thought's sense to hear
nor sense of mind in sense feel,
dimensional sight and intelligent ear
bereft of mind from mind would reel.
no war between your feature and form
exists except in eye - that does harm.

Graciousness

I don't intend to dye it at all.
It has been well deserved.
I earned it.
I try to execise,
To keep my body physically fit.
So I don't give the appearance of Godzilla.
I don't have that temperment.
But I do admit to a raised eyebrow...
Especially around those who assume,
My graciousness comes without effort!

The older I get,
The more of it is expected.
And on some days I may disappoint.
Those are the days I'm not hardly trying to show grace.
Those are my rudeness days.
And I do my best to provide balance!
Some folks don't get the message...
Until all sides are allowed a scrutinized view!
It entices gossip.
And I am not beneath delivering to this need!

'I am not talking about your hair.
I thought you thought I was talking about your hair? '

I've learned as I get older...
Say anything!
It doesn't matter.
Few listen.
And those that do...
Have no clue what the conversation is about!
Tie it all in!
Ultimately they will believe it all makes sense.
It doesn't have to!
And that's what I love most about aging!

Schooling Relationship

you are the subject which i study
understanding and getting to know you psychologically
learning new ways to do right
ways to out do the wrong
you are the subject which i study
practicing and testing the goods and bads
you are the subject which i study
the time has come graduation is here
learn the subject by studing its psychology
understanding is the only way for success
now we move on to the next step
you are the subject which i study to major
as i take hold of your hand
guide you through rough times throughout this life
you are the subject which i study to major
as time goes by ticking away
i studied you all those days
i understand your past history life
your psychology means alot to me

With Faith

With faith I can not deny...
God is my supply!
When things are not so great,
I know He holds my fate!
And through my thick and tear dripping days...
My determination to remain faithful to Him stays!

If trials to test me come like they do,
I do not seek to flee and run...
Like many who succumb,
And become subdued!

I walk on my path with a confidence kept strong!
Adjusting with each foul and pitch thrown.
I am in this game...
To manuever around boulders,
And remove obstacles.
Crushing them into pebbles.
Ignoring the fact they may be stones!

Everyday I feel enlightened!
Each day I feel I've grown!
With faith I will hit homeruns like I wish!
God knows this and quiets,
Dissatisfactions arising...
From daily groans and moans,
He may allow for me to acknowledge...
But He does not wish for me to suffer.
Nor does He expect me to condone alone!

The Beggar Of The Spiritual

my body is telling me something
i ignore it
it screams on the street
i am not affected
people who hear and say something about
a complaining body
do not influence me
i am telling my body that i hear it completely
and by saying so
i assure it that i am not ignoring it
and it demands
that i do something about a neglect
but i am not into this anymore
i am not in the mood for a physical cure
that realm of the epidermal
sphere
i am into something more
the parallel divine sphere
that i have not spoken to
for years
as it is ignoring me
like i have the leprosy of the spirit
i am begging and kneeling
before it
it is getting even
it is still ignoring me
but i am not stopping
i am
and will always be unhappy
if i cannot have
it finally
when the door is opened
and then
i am in
at the end

No More

Your laughter
Isn't funny
Doesn't make me smile
Anymore

You treat me like dirt
You've stepped on
In your new shoes
So you smiling
Doesn't make me the image
Anymore

I end up in tears
When you laugh
I'd rather laugh
When you cry
You don't make my heart skip a beat
Anymore

It's well and truely gone
Overboard
So far in the distance
That you'll never see my shadow
Again

There's no point in
'Loving you'
Anymore

Selective Obnoxiousness

Some folks enjoy being annoying.
It is a pattern.
A rhythm.
A method of selective obnoxiousness.

Intentional and done to perfect what they do best.
Annoy since no other attention do they get!

Some folks make it their priority,
To make sure their presence is known.
Sometimes through use of flattery,
Much of it overblown.

Ignoring them is a challenge,
For the one who has been picked.
And responding with crude rudeness...
Gives them not a hint,
Those they choose to monitor...
Are not amused by it one bit!

Some folks enjoy being annoying.
It is a pattern.
A rhythm.
A method of selective obnoxiousness.

And quietly minding one's own business,
Is like feeding fresh unhooked worms,
To a school of fish!

If It's Love!

It's important that unshown love,
Comes directly shown from you.
To say it...
Doesn't make,
That-love-be-true!

It's important that unshown love,
Is a thing one wants to do...
Just to prove what is said,
Is absolutely true.

A hug,
And maybe a kiss.
A touch,
That has been missed.
A show of thoughtfulness...
Can go a very long distance.

A call,
Every once in a while...
Will go further than a mile.
If love is there to be shared...
Show someone they are cared for!
And doubts will come no more.

It's important that unshown love,
Comes directly shown from you.
To say it...
Doesn't make,

It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love.
Yes!

It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love.
Yes!

It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love!

It shoos a boo-hooin'...
Known.

It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown,
