I Choose to Listen and Comprehend

Your words...
The voice
Of who you are,
Is heard.

I choose to listen.
And comprehend,
Emotions sent.

Lamented in unspoken sentiment.
Written with intention unhidden,
And meant to loom in my mind to linger.
Perhaps to even cement within.

Without A Spark To Ignite The Flame

I hear your voice,
In ever changing whispers...
What it is you feel,
On those days you choose to say...
Words you wish me to believe are real.

But I can not trust,
What it is I can not feel.
Or be made to believe...
A feeling that is not there,
Can be made for me to know is real.

Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.
Silent are those embers that warm and linger.
Not stirred by words...
Just to have them heard.
Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.

I hear your voice,
In ever changing whispers...
What it is you feel,
On those days you choose to say...
Words you wish me to believe are real.
Unspoken is that touch that reaches my heart.

And a passion within me just will not burn...
Or start,
Without a spark to ignite the flame.

Painting dreams...

Gazing at an empty page,
Thoughts and emotions run wild.
A portrait of words come to life,
Like dreams of emotions dancing.
Images of us live on in written words,
Stirring my mind and emotions.
A world of dreams built within the mind,
Forever floating upon the emotions of fantasy...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

I Wrote A Poem I Could Not Write

I wrote a poem I could not write-
And then when I tried to write it again
Could not write it again -

Poems written and not written
Words and more words
What do they mean?

Paradoxes and games with words
What do they mean?

If there is Beauty in the language
It is one thing
But words just to hear themselves think,
Why should they mean ‘Remembrance'?

Oh Words oh Questions oh Darkness oh Life-
Let me write myself to the grave
Believing at least
That poems too even when they can be written
Have their small unhidden meanings.

Some People Listen Some People Don't

You judge me before my words can come out
You can’t even look my way
And you leave me with no doubt
You won’t listen to a word I say
And I will never be heard by you
No matter what it is that I do
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

You shut me up before I can speak
You shut me up so you can keep me weak
Now I breaking all your rules
That you have made just for me
To keep me away from my history
From my strength and my dignity
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

You don’t know how many times I have prayed
That you would hear the words that I have to say
Now get out of the way
Because we no longer have to stay in this prison of the mind
Because we find you guilty of the ultimate crime
Now get out of the way
So that they can hear what I have to say
And begin to make their plans for escape today

Even though you made me a thug,
It is out of love that I put my message out
Find your voice in school and follow the Golden Rule
And shout it out, with out a doubt
That you will be heard, until you are heard
Right down to the very last word
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

These Words Are Meant For You

So there is no confusion let clarity clarify here
these words on this page are meant for you;
you.

Strung along these lines are precious intents
longing longings from down deep where souls converse,
floodings of sentiments traversing time and distance all
forming a straight line to you.

Gratitude is the staff that allows me to walk and write-
bread given me by you
sustains;
for clarity's sake
understand
these words are meant for you;
you.

Time and distance, acquaintance
and daily externals and such
mean less than these
soul exchanges proffered.

These words are meant for you;
yes you.

In the interstices words allow
in the hurried moments
where emotions and ideas fly
there is only I you and the written page
and that is enough

These words are meant for you-J

My mind becomes my prison
Chained to a heart which meant to cause no pain
Thoughts consume my every word
One voice is spoken
But sound is never herd
A friend so close
Yet the past keeps him farther away
Trapped in this present
As my mind remains buried on yesterday
feeling so left out
My being wants to fade to black
Shadowed by so much anger
So I drift towards the back
As I speak, every word is ignored
Trying to shield the pain
But your actions become the sword
So I remain to the side
Where my anger never fails to linger
And my words choose to hide
So you are safe and I don't pull the trigger

Gratis Et Amore

for the poems that i have written
and which you read
by heart, i bless you with a prayer for luck
for another year

for the poems which i have not written yet,
i wish you a longer life, so you may read them
when they become finally written

for the poems i have in mind and which i will not write
i wish you patience i wish you some prayers

may these poems realize their worth
may they decide to become truths

with you i pray that God may be also kind
for those still unspoken

and may God bless your mind
may they open up like tight buds to become the flowers
of the world, the sun to warm them, the rain to shower them

may these poems live and linger
may they be like grass always unswerving to grow and cover everything
alive and loving.

No Residency There Is Permanent

You have a bird's eye view...
With a crowing done you do.
To boast about nonstop.
From your position...
At the top.

And you believe to keep it,
Is an ease to block.
As you remain where you are...
Secured in a safety zone,
Kept locked with eyes on stars.

But like some others,
You can hit rock bottom.
And whether you like it or not...
It is recommended,
To stop and avoid your peacocking.

No residency there is permanent.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Your residency meant...
Is not one permanent.

No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Don't try it, do not bother.
Odds you choose will lose.
Don't be that big a fool.

You have a bird's eye view...
Don't be that big a fool.
No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Someone's always there to circumvent.

Your residency meant...
Is not one permanent.

And you believe to keep it,
Is an ease to block.
As you remain where you are...
Secured in a safety zone,
Kept locked.

But no...
Residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.

Your residency meant...
Is not one permanent.

No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Don't try it, do not bother.
Odds you choose will lose.
Don't be that big a fool.

Today you've got that view...
Tomorrow you could lose!

No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Don't try it, do not bother.
Today you've got that view...
Tomorrow you could lose!

Ballad Of Langston Hughes

Great man of your time,
poet of verse and poet of rhyme
you let the white man know
how easy it is to let go
the built up resentment and woe
that's inflicted on skin darker than snow.

All you did was pick up the pen.
All you did over and again
was to relate to the entire world through word
all that needed to be heard.
Radical political action proposed in poetry
was an affront to the white man's psyche.

Your words were written for all to understand.
You words were written to take command
of the ones who heard them
spit out like phlegm.
But always your hope for equality
was written in your poetry.

Great seer and seeker your words still live,
live in the hearts of the forgotten ones
who still feel the frustrating horizons
that loom in the future.
And to those who've come a long way today
your challenge to them is to have their say.

My Broken Heart

I am alone most of the time.
But oh how can that be?
A room full of people where I am
and loneliness is with me.

My mind is drifting in and out
while conversation can be heard.
But silence has taken over my heart
because of your unspoken word.

My heart is broken from words unspoken
and breathing is a chore.
The sound of your voice is what I need
just as I did before.

I am alone most of the time
and you're not even aware.
You're off and about doing your thing
and life is too hard to bear.

But bear it I must. Bear it I will
and I owe you nothing now.
For you took everything when you left
and left me with a vow

to take back the life I gave to you
and treat it tenderly.
And when I'm alone most of the time
I will not cry for thee.

Healing Part Iii

Listen, listen
Listen to the cry
Of a world thats calling to you
Listen to the cry
Of the helpless souls that need you
Though you may have trepidation
You can not refuse
You will find your own salvation
In the path you choose
Listen, listen
Listen to the voice
That whispers in the silence
Listen as the voice
Solidifies your self reliance
Let the peace that youve discovered
Be a guiding light
Let the cry that youve uncovered
Set the world aright
You could not be closer to your maker
Never more or less alone
If you know thyself
Theres nothing else to know
You are whole
Listen, listen
Listen to the sound,
Let nothing disturb you
You are in a place
Where nothing can hurt you
If you feel a strange sensation,
It can do no harm
Like the spiral of creation,
It will soon move on

The Silence Between

the silence between
words being written and read
seduces the mind to think
thoughts of creation anticipate
the blank canvas of the mind
which mirrors the open soul
calling out to listen
to the sound of pen upon paper
a mind at work
is a beautiful thing
and in writing seductive
words flow into sentence
a verse crafts itself
to be seen, felt
all in the aftermath
of the silence between
words being written
words being read

There Is A Voice...by jojobean & David Harris

There Is A Voice

Written by JoJo Bean and David Harris

There is a voice in every form
A song in every breeze
Just listen to the thunderous storm
The wind that whistles in the trees

Or have you heard the oceans cry
And the hush of a bird on wing
Happiness in the morning dawn
And sadness that the end of day brings

Listen with your senses
At the voices all around
And hear about our world
Through the voices of its song

Learn to listen
With your mind’s eye
Whenever you watch a small bird
Wing its way across the sky

When I Write These Lines

when i write these lines it is as good as
thrown paper, some words are written but
they are meant to be discarded because they have
occupied much of sadness
worn out memories
overused mumblings

they are meant to be crumpled
and thrown away

this one, this one is not meant to be kept
it is written
but meant simply to be deleted

some words are meant to be said
and be forgotten
because of pain and because they do not mean anything anymore.
goodbye lines, goodbye
take your time, there will be a little waiting
until another fool takes you in
another poet in the state of an inevitable
writer's block

A Few Words

A few words
Could bring more than a sound
Touch the ears turn wry to golden smile
or sharper than a glass to cut into pieces

Misunderstanding,
Winding up a road between us
Separating emotions out of mind from the case
Would be wrong to let ego reign the grace
How ignorant sometimes heart could be?
Deaf two ears, and blinding opened eyes
Pretend the silence is your voice
Avoiding you is not a choice

Misunderstanding
A curse of few words
Lead a way to stray from the truth
A plead for apologizing replied by ignoring
A few words used for fighting and shouting and hurting
You............Silence
Standing still but beautifully broken
I looked into your eyes and surprised
In a mirror of a story without lies
Heard...listened a word...'sorry'
Encodes a meaning of 'Forgive me'
No, your lips tightly sealed
It is your voice within sent to me

A few words
I used as the sharp glass tease
Cut you deeply, and you bleed
Saw it all behind the naked eyes
But you still standing to hold me
Never mind how wrong i can be
How i can find a magic in a few words
To heal your pain stained and clot
Regretting how wrong i did to you
To believe unreal and count your tears
I never thought so hurtful this way
When i thinking of myself it linking to you
I hurting myself whenever i hurt you

A few words
I tried to search for proper sorry
Would you blind your eyes, deaf two ears?
Words crime sound nothing but now i fear?
It fears me as i don't to lose you
...Forget the past and start a new
we never meant to be hurt...
You replied with A few words
In form of softness creating golden smile
Your sweet words neutralize the voice of bile
I learned how to speak when i was a child
But just understanding 'A few words' now

Misunderstanding
Lesson of learning to understand
If i can turn back each time i hurt you
Will avoid this bruises stamp on you
Now, between this winding road
As i standing at the aisle of choices
Picking either Emotions or Mind
Decided to fuse, balance these two
A relevant choice for not to hurt you
Sanity tell all to me,
We meet not to wait this end
We born to be happy till the end of time

A few words
Powerful or hurtful
Time to choose...

What is meant? What sent?

WHAT IS MEANT? WHAT SENT?

Impediments lament
not in themselves, content
within to document
the signs which represent
Fate’s patterns which serpent
beyond what impatient
minds see evidence patent.
For what is meant? what sent?
What is lent intent
upon safe tent, soft scent,
when statements can't be bent
to complement hopes' vent?
No compliments prevent
time spent, ascent, descent, -
can circumvent Chance pent
preparing element
to catalyze, cement,
success when two consent
to celebrate event -
of all most excellent -
when selfless sentiment
expels self-evident
expediency meant
to supplement the rent.

The Meaning There Is In the Intention Sent

I've learned to say what I mean.
And then to clear the air,
With frankincense and myrrh.
Keeping the atmosphere golden.
Without hints left to be perceived.
Or believed in the picking of thoughts
Some may rumor I intended to leave.

Any peace I release is there to be understood.
And not subjected to petty interpretations,
By those imbibed with intoxicants.
Already stirred...
And disturbed by blurring echos.
Heard but not from words.

'I heard what was said,
But that wasn't meant!
Even though the words were spoken...
The meaning there is in the intention sent.
Here...
You want a toke? '

Unspoken Words

My thoughts are going back - back to the time
When I was young to live a life
A life of lies - full of lies
Then you came into my life
And youve changed so many things
That Ive done before - that Ive done before
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
You treated me the right way
You always said dont give up
Some day you will see what I have done
And when I start thinking about me
Then I find out
You did it right - just right
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Unspoken words - so many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore
Unspoken words - words so full of meaning
They cannot lie, theyre from inside
Unspoken words
Back to start again - were working still together
More than ever - better than before
Better than before
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way - dont leave me this way
Unspoken words - so many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore
Unspoken words - words so full of meaning
They cannot lie, theyre from inside
All those unspoken words so many, many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore, oh yeah
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Unspoken words...

Healing Part I

Listen, listen
Listen to the voice,
The voice is an illusion
Listen to the voice,
Dont let the words confuse you
cause you need something to concentrate on,
Concentrate on me
You need something to meditate on,
Meditate on me
Listen, listen
Listen to your heart
Tune into the rhythm
Listen to your heart
Beating with precision
Like the waves upon the seaside,
It goes on and on
Like the spinning of the world,
It goes on and on
Listen, listen
Listen for the sound
That is not in the music
Only you can hear it,
Only you can use it
Its the sound of someone breathing,
Its the breath of life
Its the sound that you are weaving
With the thread of life
Listen, listen
Listen to the sound,
Let nothing disturb you
You are in a place
Where nothing can hurt you
If you feel a strange sensation,
It can do no harm

It will soon move on

Will The Words Come Back?

Words slip off our pen
like warm butter off a knife.
They fall in unison across the page
with everything we write.
Then one day the words don’t flow
in unison like they used to before.
They have no rhythm within them
and just become no more than words.
We look at what we’ve written
and there is no bounce in them.
The words become no more than words
once written by a creative hand.
There is no meaning in what they say
they have no heart anymore.
They are just words written on a page
with no rhyme or reason for them being there.
Some call it a writer’s block;
others call it stagnation of the mind.
The creative juices fall away to nothing,
no spark to be kindled,
no emotions to be released,
no protests to be made,
no stories to be assembled
like a jigsaw in your mind.
Just an empty pen with words
that don’t make sense anymore.
Struggles without feeling,
ideas leading nowhere
on a spiralling downward turn.
You are no longer a writer,
your creativity is gone
and the only question you have,
will the words come came back?
