How 'Emergencies' Are Treated
The first time I heard,
The word conflict associated with disturbance...
Something within me wanted to observe it,
To study and learn.
I wanted to comprehend how conflicts could start.
And who initiated them!
In my mind I compared this to an argument...
Something that began with nonsense,
Until a shouting never seemed to end.
As time goes on...
And the need for destruction and chaos,
To become prolonged as a show of strength...
I witness no evidence of benefit from this.
And those with a consciousness that evolves,
Are less inclined to get involved.
Keeping their enlightment misunderstood,
For weakness that is wished to share.
Although those expressing their love for peace...
Seem to be concealing a lack of knowledge of it.
In once quiet neighborhoods.
Where little of it today exists with the kids,
In absolute control
And discussions of choice of weapons...
To protect themselves from any suspicious 'visitor'.
Who tries to offer a pleasant, unpremeditated 'hello'!
Is profiled from head to toe before the cops are called,
Showing up late as to not to interfere with their secret trysts!
And today?
That's how 'emergencies' are treated!

And That's Why
I didn’t call and wish you a happy fathers day today
Cause everyone called and told me today.
Did you need for us to call you on this day?
Just like the kids wanted to play that day?
I didn’t call and wish you a happy fathers day today
Because you haven’t seen your kids in 21 days
I bet they wanted to play within those days
So that’s why I didn’t call and tell you happy fathers day
I called and told my daddy happy father’s day
Because he calls me each and every day
When you didn’t buy those diapers
He came through, just like always
When the kids wanted to play
Your brothers dad came around and stayed
So I wished him a happy father’s day today
I wished all my single mothers’ happy father’s day
Because they go through the same thing i do
And they wished me a happy father’s day too
So that’s why I didn’t call you
You called too,
But I was sleeping
Because I have to work two jobs
To take up for what you don’t do
So that’s why I didn’t call you
I put your son on the phone when I woke up
To call and wish his father a happy father’s day
And guess what?
You hung up!
Now do you see why I don’t call and wish you a happy father’s day?

Reluctant To Leave Those 'Yesterdays' Alone
If there is one thing learned,
That growing older teaches...
The expressing of wisdom,
Even done innocently...
In the exchanging of conversation,
Becomes regarded as suspicious.
Especially amongst those who wish,
Their aging appearances...
Still bestows upon them a youthful glow.
To enable them to dismiss,
Any experience that reveals they too...
Are growing old!
And the evidence of that,
Shows with the lack of wisdom shown...
To those who are actually much younger,
Who today compete with the elderly...
Who are reluctant to leave those 'yesterdays' alone.
With the showing today of any guidance.

After All These Years
Turn around.
Don't show me your back,
Give me eye contact.
Stop staring at the ground.
You wanted me to be honest.
And honesty I've given.
You wanted me to give love complete.
I'm here to deliver,
Both bitter and sweet.
Don't shut me out!
Let me in.
Help me to understand.
What have I said...
For you to lower and shake your head?
If I am wrong,
Tell me now.
Open up and communicate.
Don't be like that.
I want to comprehend.
Don't give me a cold shoulder.
Over something I'm sure,
Wont happen again.
Can you for once not be so stubborn?
What did I say to offend?
Turn around.
Don't show me your back,
Give me eye contact.
Stop staring at the ground.
I was teasing when I said,
Your head is like cement!
But don't give me the silent treatment.
Or reason to initiate another argument.
Anything but that silence!
That silence you can prevent.
'Okay! Okay...you win! '
Again!
For 'whatever' it was...
That started this 'nonsense' of yours,
To begin!
'Nonsense?
You spent my last twenty dollars,
On lottery tickets?
And you say that is 'NONSENSE? '
YEAH!
But I won a hundred dollars.
'Why did you not say that in the first place? '
Well...
You still have such a terrific behind.
And after all these years...
I took a moment or two,
Of my time to bide...and ponder!

Today I wanted
Today I wanted to smile all day
But something and everything stood in my way
Today I wanted to laugh and joke
But something stopped me and I gave up hope
Today I wanted to be the best at work
But something held me back and the feeling just hurt
Today I wanted to be happy and glad
But something held me back and made me feel sad
Today I wanted to be just plain simple me
But something would just let me be
Today I wanted to be myself
but sometime we don’t get what we want with or without help

Too Late
Too late we listen,
too late we learn.
Too many years
when the fires did burn.
It all seemed cozy.
It all seemed warm.
We let time slip away
and then did form
a comfortable way to move along,
never asking, 'Is anythng wrong? '
Too late we listen,
too late we learn
to show compassion and show concern.
There were no signs to recognize.
There were no tears formed in the eyes.
We did not ask what we wanted to know.
We contented ourselves with when we go
we won't have to confront these things today.
They'll all be gone when we pass away.
Too late we listen,
too late we learn
and then we yearn
for another chance
to help discern
what was wrong?

Girls Day
Today is girls day
Let us observe today
Today's girl is tomorrow's mother
Let us live in peace together
Let us worship mother
She is the creator
Today is girl's day
And you can not say
Today is not auspicious day
You must say
We are lucky enough
To observe today
Let us love girl
Let us take care of her
Girl is the mother
Of future mankind
She is our mind
She is our strength
She is our mind
She is our heart
She is our love
Let us love girls
Today is girls day.

Personalized Garbage
What better day is it than today,
To trash and put out on the curb...
All disturbing nonsense.
Every single bit of it.
Without a need to start an argument.
Like a chore over time that has been ignored,
Sack all that crap stored...
To get rid of it.
And set it out to stay away permanently....
From your front door.
And if it should be passed as you leave,
To get some fresh air inhaled and exhaled to breathe...
Don't acknowledge you are familiar with it.
If you do recognize this as personalized garbage,
Again it will be yours to reluctantly admit.
What better day is it than today,
To trash and put out on the curb...
All disturbing nonsense.
Every single bit of it.
Without a need to start an argument.

Thinking of tomorrow
I didn’t eat food today; as I wanted to wholesomely famish myself; to
devour
the appetizing chunks of pudding; Tomorrow,
I didn’t sleep blissfully today; as I was overwhelmingly excited to
run;
Tomorrow,
I didn’t play mischievously today; as I wanted to reserve every iota of
my
energy to passionately leap; Tomorrow,
I didn’t drink water today; as I wanted to gulp gallons of voluptuous
wine;
Tomorrow,
I didn’t bathe today; as I wanted to drown my persona in flamboyant
waves of
the salty ocean; Tomorrow,
I didn’t see any object today; as I wanted to view the mesmerizing
beauty of
dawn; Tomorrow,
I didn’t move my legs today; as I wanted to dance unrelentingly all
night;
Tomorrow,
I didn’t revolve my fingers today; as I wanted to sketch intricate
landscapes
with their towering summits in the clouds; Tomorrow,
I didn’t study one bit today; as I wanted to read through volumes of
mystical
tales; Tomorrow,
I didn’t go out today; as I wanted to uninhibitedly explore through the
wilderness; Tomorrow,
I didn’t see the time today; as I wanted to scrupulously count every
unleashing minute tomorrow,
I didn’t smell the air today; as I wanted to inundate my nostrils with
the
enchanting perfume of lotus; Tomorrow,
I didn’t speak today; as I wanted to scream hysterically for hours on
the
trot; Tomorrow,
I didn’t reside in the house today; as I wanted to live the entire
evening in
the magnificent castle; Tomorrow,
I didn’t sweat today; as I wanted to bask under sizzling rays of the
sun; let
moisture dribble profusely from all pores of my body; Tomorrow,
I didn’t sneeze today; as I wanted to thunderously blow my nostrils;
emptying
them in entirety; Tomorrow,
I didn’t smile today; as I wanted to sway in sheer rhapsody and
jubilation;
tomorrow,
I didn’t cry today; as I wanted to pour out rivers of heart breaking
emotion;
Tomorrow,
And I didn’t love today; fervently anticipating to be incarcerated in
the
immortal embrace of my dream girl; 'THINKING OF TOMORROW'.

At The End Of The Day
Youll laugh if only you knew
The number of times today
Ive wanted to kiss you
Ive wanted to hold you
Closer to my heart
Closer than you can imagine
I felt this from the start
But what can I do,
What can I say
At the end of the day
Its all up to you
At the end of the day
Its all up to you
The first time I saw you
In the corner of my eyes
Waiting for something to happen
You looked so alive that night
Ohh, it must be a hundred stares...fading
Today, when I think of you
Today, when I think of you
What can I do
What can I say
At the end of the day
To prove my love for you
My love for you
My love for you
My love for you
My love for you

Easier To Monitor
Shut down and zipped.
Estranged from entangled arrangements.
To meet for 'this' and not having 'that' delivered!
Games of 'chase and catch me' seem so blasé,
When played between adults...
Who react more like disturbed children today!
Shut down...
Zipped and doo dah(ed) out!
When I arrived at irritation,
I knew quickly that was not my destination!
I wasn't willing to digest...
Another round of annoyance,
Just to test my perfection at sealing my lips
And biting my tongue,
As I witness rolling eyes and hands on hips.
Expecting me to sit through another round of fits!
I've learned how to hum hymns...
That come out of the blue!
With a quick 'hit' for a boosting lift!
'O Come all Ye Faithful...
Joyful and Triumphant.
Come Ye O Peace of Mind,
Without Gun In Hand! '
Splitting...
Shut down I did and glad it happened!
Do I miss the opportunity
Of freelancing headaches...
To quiet a guilty need to be involved and sharing?
No!
Not when that is attacked and misunderstood,
By those who only understand evil...
And not comprehend what's good!
For their own well-being
In their own neighborhoods!
Some lesson plans have been discarded,
Along the way!
Teaching 'cats' the basics of hygiene...
Is not one of my magic tricks!
Or my forte...
Mothering is not on the resumé.
I don't do the 'blues' as a lullaby well!
And for this...
Qualifications are asked and expected!
While the infestation of delusion goes on!
Prolonged without my involvement!
I've shut down!
Zipped my lips and skipped my 'doo dah' out!
I had to...
To keep my own 'piece' much easier,
To monitor!
Some things have to be kept sacred!

From Ludia To Ethiopia
What we laern today, we teach others tomorrow;
But when we die we keep quiet.
What we witness today, we express it to others as well;
But if not, we will keep silence.
Life is like a trip from Ludia to Ethiopia!
And there is a day to be born and a day to be schooled;
After which one acquire certificates during the length of time.
What we learnt yesterday are the ones we teach to others today,
But when we die we keep quiet;
And it is all about life for us to learn daily.
Life started with the trees in the Garden of Eden,
But these were laws for us to learn and to become perfect;
And today, it is better to give than to receive.

Put It Down
Put it down!
Pick it up tomorrow.
It will be more relevant.
And then a defensiveness,
You now today hold that is senseless...
Will become easier for you to admit,
Without me being around to witness it.
Put it down.
Do not attempt to absorb any of this.
Your lack of comprehension,
Will only lead to an argument.
And just for the sake of peace and quiet,
I will pretend your thought process...
Does not inhibit your lack to exhibit understanding.
Put it down.
I am sure you will find some time...
To allow your mind to open.
And digesting what is being addressed,
Without me reminding you...
How disgusted you are with my directness.
And if I came to deceive you with sweetness,
Everything I said you would accept.
Put it down.
With me in your presence...
And handing you this message,
The only thing you will remember...
Is being upset.
Not by the message...
But by my presence you will not forget.
Put this down!
It will make more sense to you tomorrow.

The Heart Never Learns
Only time can bring the peace of mind
you treasure
only love can really break your heart
but we must feel the pain before the pleasure
only then can we tell them apart
we are never too afraid of taking chances
searching in the dark with no concerns
but it's always the same with
all romances
it's the heart that never seems to learn
thinking that it's finally my turn
like a fool believing every word
you tell me that it's over but
that's not what I heard
'cause my heart just never
seems to learn
many times I've wished that love had
never found me
after knowing all the pain that
it brings
always hoping to feel your arms
around me
without fear
of losing everything
it's the heart that will awaken
all the senses
and the senses light up the soul
but we hide what we feel with
more pretences
than the pride that comes before
the fall
thinking that it's finally my turn
like a fool believing every word
you tell me that it's over but
that's not what I heard
'cause my heart just never seems
to learn
how can I ever find what I've
always wanted
with a heart that never seems
to learn
never seems to learn

You Don't Even Know
I saw you today,
My heart jumped,
I've missed you so,
You don't even know...
You held me today,
I could only smile,
For how long I've wanted this,
You don't even know...
You kissed me today,
I cry happy tears,
Much wanted for the longest time,
You don't even know...
You made me the happiest person today,
But you don't even know...

Time Is Dead, Killed In Meetings 6.3.2008
I am swimming, swimming, swimming, just keep
swimming, swimming, swimming, one word and
one phrase at a time, though my consciousness
experiences total lack of context and absolute
meaninglessness, I have my brain in a vice-grip
and we are making the trip through the document;
a most amazing occurrence, mostly I fall into the
holes in the network filaments of reality, but today
the vice-grip is steady, just plowing forwards,
irrespective of isolation and complete lack of
perspective; life had become totally meaningless
and still the vice-grip is holding, keeping steady;
one word at a time, one phrase towards eternity,
doing my job, putting down words in a series
of meanings that will bring nobody joy, will not
be blessed by a reply, a piece of work that will
fall down and die sooner than it has been written;
if this is why we have human rights and why I
have been born, then the world has to be
destroyed, the sooner the better, wasting the
magical gift of consciousness on white and grey,
colorless words in bleak sentences reporting
facts cold and empty, facts that offer nobody
succor, that does not sing or resonate with
anything, simply report on a meaningless
meeting and planning one such another –
people killing time, time is dead, it has been
killed in millions of meaningless meetings
held everywhere…

The Story Of 100 Aisles
Help yourself
If you know why you came
Cause if you need help she says...
Theres something Ive got saved
This is not what you wanted
These candy coated fakes
This is not what you wanted
This is pain
Anacin, were stumbling again
Its the story of 100 aisles
Walk away from simple on a tray
Cause if you need help she says...
These fancy pills dont rate
This is not what you wanted
A miracle today
Time is not for sale today
Time seems so far away
You need more than this
Depressed come here try this

Church
I am sure there are those who go to church,
For purposes I have yet myself researched.
But I do not intend to learn more about Satan.
Nor about those demons...
Dispensing sins.
Where from inside a church...
People pray to be forgiven for them.
I am sure there are those who go to church,
Other than to wear their Sunday best.
Or to regurgitate...
Scriptures learned or verses they've rehearsed.
And in privacy misdeeds confessed.
But there is evidence lacking on urban streets,
Near these places where 'The Word' is heard.
And sermons are preached.
All I observe is decadence done.
Where hypocrites congregated and speak,
To others what 'they' should not do!
As a form of their 'community' outreach!
While showing how the devil does it.
From lessons recited to ignite inner fear.
And the 'how-one-should-live'
To get those expected golden 'wings'...
Given to them,
By a 'heavenly' being...
Adorning upon them 'halos' they've earn.
As melodious harmonic voices sing!
With angels appearing to dance near.
And this conflicts with my depiction of God!
When I witness the destruction of all that God creates.
As those who say they are of faith with 'belief'...
Do not find their actions neither wicked or odd!

When tommorow begins without me
When tomorrow begins the new day,
I will not be here for you to see.
Please dont let the sun rise
and see the tears you shed for me.
I don't want you to cry for me like you did today.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry.
The way you did today,
I know how much you loved me,
And I loved you all too.
And of corse I understand that you'll miss me.
I will miss you too but your all in my heart.
But now when tomorrow begins without me,
Please try to find it in your heart understand.
Gods angels called my name,
They reached out a hand to me and said it's time to go.
And So I took theire hand.
My place was ready in heaven above.
I cried tears as I lert you all behind.
But you'll be coming with me in my heart.
But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye.
For all my lifeI wanted to the fight todie.
In the end I felt there wasn't much left for me.
And yet I wanted one more day.
I wanted to say my goodbyes but is the one thing I couldn't do.
But then I f realised this could never be.
For you would have stopped me even though my time had come.
And when I thought of you all left behind.
My heart was filled with guilt sorrow.
But as I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt peace and harmony.
When God looked at me and smiled at me,
He said Amy this is eternity.
Here you can start afresh.
I promise you no tomorrows only today.
Your life on earth is now your past.
Here you don't have to worry about your past.
God said to me Amy come take my hand.
And it was then I finally began to understand.
God had choosen my pain to end.
So when tomorrow begins without me,
Please know we are not apart,
We live on in each others hearts

I Wanted Everything
I heard about the Easter bunny
Presents under a Christmas tree
It was dreaming and fantasy
There was no Mom or Daddy
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I had the world on my shoulder
But I was getting older
Knew I was ready for it
Some kind of employment
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
All day working on a truck
Bringing the groceries up
Not much of a salary
No tip for the delivery
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
I wanted everything
There's no success for me
Involved in a robbery
There's money in the supermarket
And I'm goin' after it
I wanted everything.

Just for today...
Just for today I will start my day the right way
Just for today I will pray on my knees
Just for today I will be thankful for all my treasures
Just for today I will lean more into HIS understanding
Just for today I will be confidant and share my heart
Just for today I will not be afraid
Just for today I will Love myself unconditionally
just for today I will extend grace to all I know
Just for today I will be BOLD and Courageous
Just for today I will share my hopes and dreams
Just for today I will listen to others as well...
and just for today I will help others succeed.
Just for today I will accept myself for who I am
Just for today I will work on my gifts...and
Just for today I will extend a hand to a fellow man
Just for today I will know God put me on this earth to Give
