The flame I see within you brightens.
Something has dawned,
To ignite a dimming need.
Something has connected,
To spark an increase...
Of a desired feeding pleased.
You have attached to happiness.
An entrapment has been detached.
You have come to decide,
Whatever you carried...
To lift it off your back!
I hope you allow this to magnify.
Hold and escalate it.

To identify any remnants of darkness.

~Smile~
We all smile to show our happiness,
We use it a lot, Yes,
Smile can be fake or real,
Its used to show or hide how we feel,
Fake smile is shown when,
Pain in heart rises,
And real smile is shown when,
Unexpected happiness doubles in sizes,
Natural or Not,
But its better to show a real one on the spot,
Let us be honest,
the only time we show the real smile is when someone has touched our heart,
and when we show the fake smile,
is when someone has tear everything apart,
Yes we show our fake smile,
to show people that we are okay so they wont revile,
Its hard to put on a real one as your hurt,
And yes we try to heal it as we flirt,
Its time to face the fact,
Showing a fake smile is like showing a fake and stupid act,

Sun-Woman
Let the sun show
over the hills, I love it so
Life is the sun,
the sun is life
let life rise, brightly, slowly, funly
let life never set.
But it does.
light turns to night, the
darkness comes
my eyes close slowly
sun, please don’t go.
please don’t go.
but wait-in the light of the setting sun
I see some hope
a slender shape
walks over the hills in the distance
the sun halls to a stop, seems
to look at the figure
seems to stare, decide if it’s worthy
then the sun starts flying,
back up into the sky.
the figure keeps walking, closer,
closer.
the sun keeps moving, as fast as light itself,
into the middle of the sky above me.
the shape is hope, hope itself
she is light, and for me, the only
way to avoid darkness.
She is not far now, I see her face.
she says, “Are you all right? ”
“Don’t worry, ” I tell her, “the sun is not
my enemy anymore. He is my ally.”
She smiles at my healing face, and then I say,
“You were my hope, you are my hope. You
are my only hope of avoiding the darkness.”
“And you are the same to me, my love, ”
She says.
I jump up and I take her hands,
and I sing, “My love, my hope,
when you go the darkness comes,
but as long as you come back
light will shed on my weary face.

Burning
When I look at you
I melt like a candle
You light a fire in me
What am I to do
I just hope I can handle
The heat and the smoke blinding me
This feeling, this fire
This burning desire
Is raging its way through my soul

The Choir Rehearsal
(This poem was inspired by the choir rehearsals I attend with Voicelab, based at the Royal Festival Hall in London.)
The day that I joined the choir,
I satisfied my singing desire.
Music is such a magical gift.
My sleepy soul, it awakes and lifts.
It’s heaven to listen to the four voice parts,
Singing together with all their hearts.
The four tunes all twist and entwine,
Sending shivers of excitement down my spine.
They come together and are heard as one.
It sounds beautiful and I’m totally stunned.
It’s wonderful being part of it all.
I really am having a magical ball.
When I leave home sometimes, I may feel down,
But when I get to rehearsals, it soon lifts my frown.
My face feels as though it’s always ready to smile
And I am enjoying myself all of the while.
Our vocal coach keeps the mood light,
But, of her aims, she doesn’t lose sight.
She sings a short phrase and we sing it back
We repeat it a few times until we’ve got the knack.
If we go wrong, we hear an operatic ‘Stop! ’
And the volume of singing suddenly drops.
She will go over a phrase until it is just so,
Then, and only then, onwards she’ll go.
A single finger placed in front of her shushing lips,
Indicates for us to sing softer, so our volume dips.
Seeing her drawing her hands slowly apart, we know,
Indicates that she wants the sound to rise and grow.
Not everyone in the choir can read music, so
Her hands indicate whether to sing high or low.
During rehearsals, we’re given much praise,
To motivate us for our performance days.
When she’s pleased, we’re rewarded with a smile,
Making it seem all the more worthwhile.
When it’s all over and I board my train,
Traces of a smile, on my face, still remain.
When I reach home, I’m still on a high,
And it’s hard to wind down and shut my eyes.
Eventually, over me, tiredness creeps,
And, feeling content, I drift off to sleep.

Music Is Hapiness
I lift up my hands
The smile on my face tells all
The music
Takes me away
Away from everything bad

It makes me laugh

Sway back and forth
If there is one thing good in this world
Its Music
It fills my mind
With good thoughts
Replacing the bad ones
My eyes
Full of joy

I am quite fractured when we are detached.
When you have feelings I can not touch,
I am concerned more than you realize
About that.
And that's a fact.
I can not force you to communicate,
If you believe I'm impatient.
And it is with patience I wait.
I hate it when you begin to assume.
And those assumptions you use,
Just create more confusion.
And I am not having that on my plate.
I am quite fractured when we are detached.
When you have feelings I can not touch,

About that.
And that's a fact.
But I am not going to do flips and roll on my back.
I've done that before.
Not to do that anymore.
No matter who you tell,
How well you have me trained!
And I respond to your commands,
Without demands.

But still confused...

Or didn't do I could for you.

The Sands That Spill From My Fingers
so there you are again
why do you come inside my room
at the hour when i am so empty
and needy of
affection
you tease me with that smile
and you put your finger
between your lips and
show your tongue like a bud
of a very red rose
i am amazed and ready like i am
a water escaping from
the hold of this dam
you laugh and then you go outside the door
without even closing it
