FORWARD With Today's Activities

Those that can not adapt to change,
Should not be convinced...
Change for them awaits,
For them to embrace its arrival.

Nor should they be ignored...
In the belief for them there is no option.
When there is.
Everyone should be respected,
For their perceptions.
Deluded or not!
It is democracy in action,
That affects one's comfortability!
And a right to choose from choices.

The ones in stubborn defiance,
Of certain and unquestioned change.
Should not be confronted with argument.
They should be offered a choice to take,
A one way ticket...
Back to a treasured paradise.
Complete with collected artifacts,
Rusted.
Or sit to rock,
Behind windows cleared.
As their lives fade away...
Listening to their own pre-recorded voices.
Looped in repeated opposition to hear.
In rooms closed and sealed.

With meals slid under locked and blocked doors.
Conveniently outfitted to dropp suggestions,
For their preferences...
From a limited list of options given.
And then read and forgotten...
By those assigned to make sure they are observed,
Going through a routine of scheduled motions!
And directed to ensure...
All elements of expectation,
Have been appeased to meet satisfactions.

'Is everyone happy?
Are all the cells scented with favorite mists?
And those who have required licorice,
Placed on folded napkins...
Next to required peppermints,
With their appropriate assortment of condiments...
Are fine?
Great.
There is not one hint of a whine!
Fabulous.
That task gets easier upon daily implementation.
FORWARD with today's activities! '

To Welcome the New

To Welcome the new,
Release the old
To enter the future,
Let go the past
To take up new lives,
Give away those lived.

It sounds so practical,
It seems so sensible,
It should be so feasible
It should be easy.

It’s none of the above,
Yet in some ways
Tho’ it’s almighty hard,
We do it each of our days.
We just move forward.

We are made to change,
We are shaped for change,
We survive by change,
We live in a storm of change,
From the Maker’s hand.

Today was another change,
We stand on the edge of vast change,
And afraid or unafraid of great change,
We all walked forward.

Some may say we had no choice,
Others say even that is a choice,
But I say that by hand and voice,
We all make a difference.
We always can,
We always will.
It is what we do.
We are the changers, and the changed.
And we go forward.

Prompted To Make Their Selections

If they were not pushed with insistence,
To have their druthers more defined.
And their preferences were not limited,
To confine them to prior choices made...
People would be quicker to choose happiness,
Over making impressions for others to approve...
Anyday and at anytime,
Without being prompted to make their selections,
From a list that had already been decided,
Were required prerequisites for the obtaining of it.

Happy They Have Been Able To Please

At one time,
People were complaining...
No activities for them were scheduled.

Today,
More than enough diverse activities...
Are scheduled for those wishing to participate.

And there are those calling from their windows,
That the planners of the activities...
Should have not scheduled them,
On the same day.
And that is why they have chosen,
Not to take advantage...
Of any those choices made available.

And the ones caring less,
Who is expressing what and for what reason...
Come and go to do as they please,
With a doing to get done...
Keeping prioritized,
From Sundown to Sunrise...
Their own focused motivations.

At one time,
People were complaining...
No activities for them were scheduled.

And the naysayers are still there,
Supplying from one event to another...
Their unsolicited critiques.

And the planners,
Who have scheduled such activities...
Are thrilled and happy,
They have been able to please...
The wants, wishes and needs of everyone.
They seem to be anyway.

'My goodness.
How were you all able to do this? '

~Excuse me?
I had earplugs in my ears.
We all do.
Most of us have removed them.
Those of us on the committee.
Do you mind repeating that?
What was it that you said? '

The way you live

life is easier every single day
it is a routine, but it can be fun
you can change it, shape it your way
if you follow the rules good things will come
it's God's way of rewarding for your deeds
if your bad it will make you want to run and hide
you dont want to be apart of bad seeds
so you must think and choose now, decide
you really want to be mean, bully someone?
you could be a favorite student
so change for yourself, and your loved ones
it will be better for you it's prudent
you were raised different not strange
remember there is always room for change

New Life Today.

There’s an old warm wind that brushes me each time we clashed
Showing me this new life today

Can change bring two paths as one or one path veered to one again; no it can not.

Questions amidst inner demons singing for a reign to bring old feelings of winds of change unwanted by one and an unwanted one now. It was just another mistake is all?

Where were that journey which was new and the pact that expired which could stand any test in time or
Agendas unknown; not here in my new life today.

A New Life today shudders with no choices in Freedom bounding to make an inevitable change of stances that shake platforms not solid but carried aloft and free. Freedom is awesome and choices are good. I am free and happier today.

Why is this New Life Today?

What is this New Life Today?

Uncontrolled and recoiling with a dream bursting with old sounds in the imagined imagination imagery of unrealities forgotten. Pushed aside and shredded after unpacking.

The light of reasoning sees that a choice taken separately was not a choice of my choosing that has produced, this 'New Life Today'.

To be felt attractive again, one's esteem to bloom again, to walk again with friends supportive and not look at your watch or think of home again. This is a New Life Today again.

No one wins but one can lose more and in my New Life Today again; I feel it is not me. No joy or comfort it is in thoughts of what could be or should be; cast off the shards of control in my New Life Today.

Just to laugh again, to fly and soar again, to not look over my shoulder again, to talk freely as I would again, in My New Life Today.

Do you think; I don't have to I see my New Life Today again. I don't look back, I have. I go forward and won't look back too much; I am looking forward to a New Life Today again.

This time, this time and again I see why things happen for a reason again in my New Life Today. It's been worse and its better now than later so I am grateful for I will be happy again in my New Life Today.

The eyes smile, my heart sings and I realise I am beginning to be Happy again in my New Life Today again.

An Expectation Of Familiarity

Exhausted from the process of moving forward,
Has left many out of breath...
Without taking viable steps.

Weaving through those who protest new directions,
Is like getting a child to think of eating vegetables...
As best for their health.

Unless perceptions change...
Directions to communicate corrections,
Will not benefit swift actions that call for it.

Even though people say they seek change,
The implementation and the quality...
Has to have an expectation of familiarity.
Or the affect of it will not be accepted.

A Desire To Taste A More Appetizing Flavor

Within a split second,
A decision to pick happiness over grief...
Will free one shackled,
To a belief that a routine kept...
Will ensure a healthy mental outlook.
And that 'someday' someone not yet known,
Is going to come knocking on one's door...
With a delivery of a bouquet,
Gift wrapped in floral scents.
And packaged with an assortment of chocolates!

These scenes might be witnessed on TV.
But an active participation in one's life,
With a desire to taste a more appetizing flavor of it...
Is going to require more than a wish.
The likelihood of someone walking down the sidewalk,
In one's neighborhood...
Making announcements,
Of what is available with choices to make...
And who's name with preferences is on list,
Is as remote as a stranger offering to pay one's rent or mortgage.

Choices

Choices
Are a form of grace
To have a choice
A voice,
is a privilege
Choices can
Change situations
The right choices
can uphold mankind
for thousands of generations
Choices
becomes personal declarations
A vow for one to live by
There shall always be
difficult choices to make
inorder to survive
Therefore,
Choose wisely today
For tomorrow
Shall surely come and
The choices of today could
Makes all future matters
well done!

Will Change change?

1.
What will happen to change?
Will change change as all things?
Or will it develop immunity
And embrace hypocrisy?
Will change resist change
And go against its doctrinaire?
Why, will change change not
Should nothing be permanent, even change?
Since change is also a thing.

2.
Our world changes daily by seconds
Our lives in the roller-coaster of time
The noon gives way to the moon
The dawn turns dusk
At intersections of these:
One enters, another exits
One moans, another mourns
One rejoices, one regrets
In the spate and space of time;
A jungle becomes a haven
The oblivious became renowned
Riches become ruins
All on the altar of change

Devoted To A Going Through Of The Motions

Is it in the routine shown,
That I believe I am and get favor...
From a 'deity' I wish to impress.
Because of the ritual of the act,
I address as told is expected...
To achieve the best affect.

Or is it my expectation that I receive it,
As I acknowledge my ability to forgive...
To others with proclamations stated,
That I am chosen and highly favored...
Since I am devoted,
To a going through of the motions.

And to do this I am,
With all of the artifacts adorned and attached...
With a flaunting of it to ensure they are seen,
By others familiar with going through the same routine.
And I can redeem myself while passing judgement,
On others anytime I choose and wish.
No matter how artificial the entire process.

Change in Me

Why I need change?
for better or for the worst?
Any choices to change or not?

I need change when
There is an opportunity to grow and mature
Things being done the wrong way

Dealing with a world of change
I rediscover change
Change is the law of life

Those who look only
to the past or the present
Are certain to miss the future

I may change anything I want or don't want
But I can't change everything I want

My dilemma is
I hate change and
love it at the same time

Best of all
What I want is
For things to remain the same
but get better.

Lastly,
I need strong courage to change,
To master change;
Be the master of change.

Always I want change,
To get where I want to be,
Be the change I want to have.

ILLUSION OF DEMOCRACY APR 3rd 2011

Is an election just an illusion of democracy?
Just a changeover of the usual aristocracy,
Where nobody is required to vote so most don’t,
Can’t talk death-with-dignity like they do over in Vermont.

Can’t have binding referendums like they do in Switzerland,
Two of the many subjects that we have completely banned,
Can’t have proportional representation in first-past-the-post,
Where the collective opposition usually have many more votes.

None of our party leaders have offered much or any change,
And why should this seem so everyday ordinary and not strange?
No binding referendums or death-with-dignity offered here,
Not even compulsory voting so they have no fear.

Change! Change! Change!

change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.

change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...

change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!

loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....

but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

Closed Walls

those closed walls so tightly pressed to my face
so thin i could hear through to the next room
but not thin enough for me to break free

no windows
nor door
i wonder how i got here
alone and frightend
at one point i once enjoyed

but now as i look at this room no bigger than me why would i
these closed walls must be speaking to me or im delousional
but they told me
once free you must change

change how you think
change how you look at things
change how you love
change how you act

for a momment i listened
but i knew i couldn't
i can change my outer apperance
but never how i think

thesefucking walls must think im stupid
i can think as i please
.
never come near these closed walls.

I

I
we don’t know where it is located
whether I is in the brain
only exist in the human mind
or just an emotion
place beneath the skin

ego
the I
is the letter, found in the center of pride
the reason of most humiliation
condemnation
depression
when pride overpowers humility
when unforgiveness clouds the inner spirit

but we can banish this I-seeking self
by changing our I-belief
what you believe is the cause
of your personality
becomes your thought
your habit
your character
your behavior
and your destiny

your belief determines your reaction
to every life situation
your choices
and it influences your emotion.

Belief defines who you are
loving or unlovable
skillful or not
creative or not
Intelligent or not
In control, grounded or not
So change what you believe

you are one of the pieces in life’s puzzle
change your belief
change your I ams
I am happy
I am lovable
I am overjoyed
I am energized
delighted
Creative
Change your intentions
Change your thoughts
Change your beliefs
make the best of your I

Black Licorice

Whooo ... wheee!
You there, comin up the stair, the feelin is ice-blue cold.
Shake, its more than I can take, Im startin to lose control.
Watch out, whats that noise, theres somebody at the door.
It must be black licorice, she come back to make me cry some more.
Time, aint on my side, Im losin it more each day.
Licorice, licorice.
Shes got evil in her eyes, and catnip is her taste.
Licorice, licorice.
She wraps me up in her slender legs, her hot black skin to mine.
Licorice, licorice.
Ple ... ple ...please, dont touch me, oh, I know Im dead this time.
Oh, oh, yeah ... licorice, yeah, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, yeah, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, yeah, black licorice.
Licorice.
Licorice.
Licorice.
Licorice.
Licorice, yeah, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, yeah, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, licorice, black licorice.
Licorice, licorice.
Licorice, woah, black licorice.

A Normality

Sometimes we experience
monumental change
within our daily lives.
A change so dramatic
that it shakes us to our very core.
We stand and ponder,
wondering what we can do,
but at the back of our mind,
we know we have to make it through.
Not only for ourselves,
but for others who depend on us.
If we give up,
then everything is lost.
By nature we are fighters,
some stronger that others.
We struggle forward
in the face of adversity
and soon that monumental change
becomes just a normality.

Change

Looking through my window shade, stare at streets that bare no name
Now it all looks strange to me, yesterday seems like a dream
But I often try too hard, to break the routine of my day
Turn around see what I see, cant help wishing it could
Chorus: change, change again
Unchain myself - I will
See the faces in the crowd, busy streets they move around
Underground seems such a drag, waiting still and then we change
(rpt. chorus twice)
Ad lib - the more I see, the more it hurts, the more we change it all seems worse
M8 - tomorrow, till tomrrow comes
As it drags me there I feel, a sense of urgency unveil
Whats in store for us today, read the papers drift away
(chorus)
Change, we change again
We change again
Unchain myself - I will
Ad libs - oh how I hate to feel this way
The more I wait to see it change
The more I see the more it hurts
The more we change it all seems worse

NO NEED TO CHANGE Apr 5th,2011

They seem to think that nothing can change the Ottawa atmosphere,
But we only need binding referendums to interfere,
Elections only change the names in our democracy,
This is good enough for those in the present aristocracy.

We need a death-with-dignity program and we need it soon,
By today or tomorrow or at least by the next full moon,
But they’re busy making appointments to the Senate or High Court,
Can’t pull out of Afghanistan and they refuse to abort.

Canadians unlike Australians, are not required to vote,
No proportional representation in first-past-the-post,
Having a discussion about a discussion any time or place,
There’s no need to change, they say, or even have a test case.

Proclaiming Preferences

Feeling a bit threatened,
By those proclaiming preferences?
Only to then become offended,
When you have been omitted...
From being a preference one admits.
How traumatic?
And why is this?

One at first feeling threatened,
Should now feel relieved.
But noooo!

They decide they would like,
To taunt those proclaiming them.
Especially if those preferences,
Has anything to do with sex.
And those choices that have been expressed...
Does not include them as addressed.

It was only when those preferences were announced,
Did those previously minding their own business...
Went about doing what they normally would do.
Snooping between gossip hops.
With an attempt to acquire details...
About who does what with what they've got.

Then one day those with preferences,
Unlocked their doors and came out of closets.
And caring less who passed judgement on them.
They sought a happiness.
From lifestyles that had one time or another,
Had them feel both closed and trapped in.

Now today...
Those with old gossip,
Have nothing to say.
If fact they seem embittered...
To stay in relationships,
Daring to admit...
Their own activities,
Have long skipped over...
And beyond a 'curiousness'.

'What's the matter?
You look upset.'

~That 'misfit' told me,
I was not desirable...
On a kept preference list.
Can you believe this?
And I 'know' I am desirable...
IF I decided to choose to be!
And IF I wanted to be selected and picked.~

'Selected and picked?
For what? '

~You know.
For 'whatever' it is...
Those two over there are doing.~

'What are they doing? '

~You can not see what they are doing?
Look at them...
Closely.
And how they are looking at each other,
With 'those'...eyes.
And...
Out in public.
I am highly offended AND appalled.~

'What are you talking about? '
