Forgiving Epiphanies

Forgiving epiphanies,
Coming to awakening minds...
Darkness once kept,
From seeing the 'light' of their actions.
Is difficult for those victimized to do.
Even though what is said is true...
About people regretting mistakes made.
No matter if intentions are premeditated.

However,
A growth process...
Can not be determined with a schedule set.
And one who has been affected,
By another's unconsciousness...
Should step aside from a bitterness,
To observe how epiphanies...
Have a way of inflicting,
Their own mental adjustments.

Those deserving to connect past actions,
To what comes to visit,
With clarity...
On the other side of those closed doors.
Should be given the opportunity...
To welcome repercussions.
If it is just for the experience of it.

Why should anyone inflict pain on another,
Without knowing how it feels?
To give is to receive...
Right?

~God don't like 'ugly'! ~

I've heard that before.
That's why I got rid of all of it from my doorstep!
I did that many years ago.
I'm glad from me it decided to leave.
Having that ugliness did nothing for me.

'Hi.
I'm here to remind you of what you did.
And since your mind is open now...
I am going to be staying inside of it for a while.
I'm sure you don't mind if I play with your consciousness?
I left someone who directed me to you.
And only recently was I able to locate where you were.

Stop it.
Don't flatter yourself.
Invite me in.
You have no idea how much there is for us to discuss.'

My mental pain

The pain inside me
The mental pain inside me
Makes physical pain seem like a walk in the park
But that’s just half
Of this story
Do you know how it feels for no one to hear you screaming
Its like time stood still
I’ve lost it… oh well
Time is now standing still
Why should one heart feel so much pain
And who will be the death of me
How long will It take for you to see
The damage, the carnage
Your words, your actions
have done to me
You words, your actions
Cause the pain inside me
Your words, your actions
Cause the mental pain inside me

Pitstop

In my pain remaining,
You still dropp more of it.
As if I occupy a pitstop.
And I am there...
To replenish your need,
To gas up...
As you retire your worn out displeasures,
To rebuckle for a rebooting...
For a race you keep,
To speed away to leave me broken.

I pray for you!
To Stop this dance you do with evil.
But emotionally you wish me drained.
So no one else can see,
Who re-energizes you...
After you are through abusing me.

But one day you will come not to feel this way.
The scars dropped by the clock...
Will inflict upon your mind reminders.
Behind closed doors,
You will begin to feel trapped.
By a consciousness that visits.
And your past misdeeds will plead to be forgiven.

But...
From whom or what,
Will release you from those pitstops,
That left me strickened as you struck...
With a letting go for a public showing.

'Stop it,
Let me go.'

The scars dropped by the clock...
Will inflict upon your mind reminders.

'Stop it,
Let me go.'

The scars dropped by the clock...
Will inflict upon your mind reminders.

In my pain remaining,
You would dropp more of it.
As if I occupied a pitstop.
And I was there...
To replenish your need,
To gas up...
As you retired your worn out displeasures.
To rebuckle for a rebooting...
For a race you kept,

'Stop it,
Let me go.'

The scars dropped by the clock...
Will inflict upon your mind reminders.

'Stop it,
Let me go.'

The scars dropped by the clock...
Will inflict upon your mind reminders.

And it will be your misdeeds.
Not me to haunt you.

Carl Gustav Jung

In studying the history of the human mind one is impressed again and again by the fact that the growth of the mind is the widening of the range of consciousness, and that each step forward has been a most painful and laborious achievement. One could almost say that nothing is more hateful to man than to give up even a particle of his unconsciousness. Ask those who have tried to introduce a new idea!

Who Are The Whos

Now...
With a hint of self evaluation,
Peeking from behind closed and padlocked doors...
Perhaps the process of ending delusion,
Has an opportunity to be introduced to truth.
A truth fools can longer afford to ignore.

And those locked in cells,
Watching cable on their flat screened TVs...
Can perform sighs of relief,
Knowing a empathy comes...
That has been slowly publicly released.

Millions of people incarcerated across the land,
Have been victimized by misunderstanding.
And taught behaviors...
That mysteriously got out of hand.

And because of a way of life,
Highlighted as advertised...
Who really knew,
That the marketing of these standards valued,
Would someday open up eyes!
Instead of leaving them shut...
As the implementation of such high moral intentions,
Were ignored just to hype...
While a diseasing mental illness,
Began to disturb and disrupt...
With deceit and accepted corruption!

Who amongst the published 'Who Are The Whos',
Would actually awaken to discover...
Those real 'Whos' are you?

I mean...
Who knew?
Did you?

And,
Now...
With a hint of self evaluation,
Peeking from behind once closed and padlocked doors...
Perhaps the process of ending delusion,
Has an opportunity to be introduced to truth.
A truth fools can longer afford to ignore

And those wounds inflicted upon your sensitive minds,
Will soon be released from confinement...
As an empathetic guilt,
Is beginning to be found by those blind...
And historically fantasized by their depictions,
Of a civilization so perfect in etiquette...
Could never find a way,
To socially realize!
A pattern disguised with pretensions and lies.

With the Who amongst the published 'Who Are The Whos',
Actually awakening to discover...
Those real 'Whos' are you?

I mean...
Who knew?
Did you?

Talk with my Love

I am not sure of how time is given in heaven
But I hope you save some for me.
You have left without touching my skin
And I live knowing I am without.
Looking down on us…
Making same mistakes
Inside the rotations…
This batch of the living
Lives for the preservation of the ugly.
And I do not know how
I can open their eyes…
I thought words would be enough…
But they took them
And claimed them
With spite…
Staying in darkness.
A thought fed to an unhealthy mind,
Does not produce fruit.
That is why, my love
I wait for a better answer.
Our works will be left behind
For those who seek light.

Gratefully Not Available

No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.

You call...
After all these years.
To have a confrontation,
Or to leave me in tears?
Which is it?

A call to see how I am doing?
To ask who I am screwing of late?
What audacity you have,
To think I am here waiting?
I'm surprise you're still alive!
I have no intentions to return to your jive.

No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.

I am doing well.
And I hope you are too.
I have no animosity in my heart for you.
I have gone on with my life...
Inspired and motivated.
Is that what you do?

You want us to discuss what went wrong?
You want us to reconnect,
To make what you left stronger...
From your point of view?
You must be crazed to believe those days,
With you I wish to relive.
To raise more havoc I rid from myself...
To invite back with you to live?
You're nuts!

No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
And no matter what thoughts you had,
And still have of me...
I appreciate your call.
However...
Erase from your mind,
Any memories you believe I still cherish.

No thanks!
Scratch me off your list.
No matter where I appear on it.
In fact...
Burn it!
And connect this to your mind:
'For you there is not time!
It has gone.
And I am gratefully not available! '

An Understanding Has Been Acquired

Experience is not from a classroom taught.
That is a process life only offers.
To believe that one can teach,
Or receive experience...
To relieve the sacrifices that come as a reward,
Is to click one's heels three times,
In the hopes Auntie Em has a freshly baked apple pie...
Just pulled from the oven,
Upon one's return from the Land of Oz!
Could be associated with having a drug induced,
Experience.

And these things happen!
Anything is possible.

Like a child hoping to escape a spanking...
Once it has been discovered,
The family cat has been put inside the refrigerator.
How does one handle this situation?
That's a judgement issue.
However,
After the tenth pet has been found in this manner...
There is a real need to take this as a serious issue.

Now...IF,
One was to serve the cat for dinner,
And watch the child nibble on it?
That is an experience that will never be forgotten!
You can say...
Experience, in this example, has definitely been achieved!
An understanding has been acquired.
And desired results...
Develop over time,
With psychological adjustments!
Can be obtained.
Maybe a little costly...
But obtainable!
Hopefully...
In some unique cases,
The avoidance of permanent mental damage...
Is recommended.

But,
We must never look back,
Wishing to have taken other actions!
We must be careful not to be too extreme,
When making our decisions.
We must...
At all cost,
Avoid having someone else's experiences...
Haunt us for the rest of our lives!
Anger fits can linger!

We have to set aside time for those adjustments.
Some take longer than others.

Experience is a mind altering change.
For some...
This process expands comprehension!
And yet,
For others...
They are left scarred for the rest of their lives!
Like one who is forced to eat broccoli.

Lima beans is my thing.
To this day I can't stand them!
And I'm sure the feeling is mutual!

However...
It is very rare these life changes,
Can be instructed.
Although some experiences,
Can leave folks traumaticized!
And these we must consider as 'Prozac Specials'.
They will be 'numb' up for quite sometime.
Some are slower at recovery than others!
Involving the aforementioned experience.
And we must be more patient with these kinds of minds.
One never knows...
When the cracking might snap.

And hopefully with some therapy...
Some folks are able to use their experiences,
As an insight for others to prove...
Even those with dysfunctions,
Can become quite successful...
At keeping their 'ailments' undetected.

My Mind Is An Oyster

The heart, can only be as open as the mind.
The mind, the creator of my world.
Not the world, but my world.
The mind, building walls.
Walls of fear, resentment and bitterness.
The spirit is trapped.
Bouncing from heart to mind.
Like a ping pong ball.
For it is my mind that is closed.
I listened to the teachings of other closed minded teachers.
They speak of a peace, they do not have.
The preach of a love, that they still seek.
The world is my oyster.
My mind is an oyster.
To find the pearl, the shell must first open up.
It is once the mind opens, I can connect to the source.
The source that tells me I am the true treasure.
I see so many closed shells.
For their pearl is as brilliant as mine.
But through the closed shell it cannot be seen.
They do not know they are just as rich as I.
So they try to take mine, because their shell is too difficult to open.
My shell is open.
I do not want your treasure for myself,
I have my own.
I am content.
I want your shell to open,
I want you and the world to see the brilliance of yours.
For it is when the mind opens,
Your true life will begin.

Fixed As If Cemented

Those who remain with wishes,
To see things as they would choose to view them.
And not how things are.
Since things are the way they have been...
Unchanged and unbending.
Fixed as if cemented.
There is nothing to say,
To those like that.

Those who disbelieve,
Things are not as they are seen.
But 'should' be the way they would 'like'?
That is alright.
Do not frustrate in argument with them.
Your time...
Not theirs,
Is to mellow like fine wine.
Know this!

Others who have had these 'things'...
Just as they are and wish to leave them that way.
Defend their points of view.
Despite what it is you do.
Whether you condone what is done or not.

And it is difficult to get that across to some people.

But not for the few!
Who have chosen their own lives to live.
And have chosen to do the best they can...
To assist,
With any apparent awakening...
Some stand by and expect.

However,
If things as they are as observed are accepted...
By those affected.
And they wish things to be just the way they are?
'Left-a-lone! '
It is better to leave what is seen that way.
ALONE!

Turn away from it and live one's own life.
Frustration free and nurturing one's peace of mind!

Unless?
There is always an 'unless' involved.

Unless...
One has desires to remain in darkness!
And argue about the prospects,
Of a light that could shine...
Between two ears already known closed.

Optimistic people love the concept of options!

Although,
Some narrow minds will never open that wide!

Those of Childish Minds

Those of childish minds,
I had to sever and leave behind.
They no longer fed my views of life.
I had been hatched from adolescence,
Many years ago...
With an expanding insight.
Rehashing redundant deeds done I did...
I could no longer validate,
Those actions of adults that reminded me of kids!
I began to feel imprisoned,
By this useless activity for me I could not envision.
That began to smother my mental growth...
And its clarity,
Beginning to feel remote and provoked.
I had to sever and leave behind,
Those of childish minds.
They found routine attractive to them.
And within me routine was not meant to be.
I am an adult!
And others who are...
Is a rare find today by far.
Leaving me to wonder,
As my aging process flows...
How gracefully can those grow old?
And where do those of childish minds go,
When an age upon them obviously shows!

Clear Karmic Debt

Some people use the phrase Born Again
to justify their actions
before their mean action begins.
They can justify actions like never before
but their mean actions can't be ignored.
For every action there is karma at stake
you will experience the same experience
likewise which you did create.
Everyone is accountable for their actions
no matter how small—
if you transgressed and hurt another
send them blessing least of all.
Or say your "Sorry" and give them a hug
it doesn't matter if you are not a thug.
So clear your karmic debt—
rethink through your actions
to live with no future regrets.

Left To Examine

People seldom select rebellion.
From a truth spoken and understood.
Yet those upset and labelled rebels,
Know too well...
They've been deceived and meant to be.
With perceptions shallow and kept to believe,
And fed to a consciousness deluded to depths.

And difficult it is to keep people like this,
Conformed to accept values distanced from reality.
Realities often thought to be militant with intent.
And long mentioned by the ones...
People decided they would choose to shun.
But themselves left to examine and now have begun,
Analyzing traditions and values with a doing done.

With a wondering of which standards to use.
Where to go and who to question,
To release them from confusion.
And self inflicting mental abuse.
Protected in historic denial hypnotized to seduce.

Left to examine...
These times.
And how will they be...
Redefined.

How will that begin to be done,
These times.
And how will they be...
Redefined.

Left to examine...
These times.
And how will they be...
Redefined.

How will that begin to be done,
These times.
And how will they affect,
Minds!

Left to examine...
In the coming of the changing times.
And...
How will that begin to be done,
In minds,
Left to examine...
In the coming of the changing times.

Come In From The Night

How many times have I seen you running;
Just one step ahead of the past?
So many nights have I seen it coming;
I try to talk to you when you pass.
I dont know who you were before I met you;
You keep your secret safe with a mask.
Its almost as though the truth is out to get you;
Youre just a runaway from the past.
Girl, weve got a love worth keeping.
Maybe theres a way to let it go.
Someday when your demons are sleeping,
Let me know, let me know.
Come out of the darkness, baby,
Come in from the night.
You can let the light
Wash it from your mind.
Open the blinds.
So many times have I seen you crying,
Never knowing what its about.
I do my best, I just keep on trying
To find a way inside to let it out.
Girl, weve got a love worth making.
It would be a shame to close the show.
Now you got a chance worth taking,
Let me know, let me know.
Come out of the darkness, baby,
Come in from the night.
You can let the light
Wash it from your mind.
Come out of the darkness, baby,
Come in from the night.
Open up your life,
Leave the past behind.
Open up the blinds.

That 'Is' Some Form Of Forgiveness

Those who unknowingly,
Rally around the ones who have lied...
And found themselves supporters of a deceit,
Are equally as quilty...
Of destroying others' lives.
With such an ambitious thoroughness.

Inflicting isolation upon others,
Because of what has been heard...
And prefabricated for selfish purposes,
Results in feelings of guilt.
Theirs!

And when the ones who have been victimized...
Have no desire to be around those who have acquired,
A following by deceit that has left them depleted...
Of doing another good deed.
It becomes discovered the extent of the damage done.
And a forgetting with a forgiveness,
Is not part of the mix.
No matter what the wholesome belief,
Of turning the other cheek may be.

'Do what?
Forgive?
After years of them actively participating,
In the ruining of my life?
With statements they've made,
That they have made mistakes?
And we are all human?
What an awakening!
My eyes are beginning to moist.

We must be on camera?
Are we on camera?

I've done something better.
I've removed them completely from memory.
In my mind they do not exist.
I guess that 'is' some form of forgiveness.
Isn't it? '

Double ride

Double ride

I was taken back when she frankly disclosed
Added something unknown as secret and posed
It was dilemma and she was restless
The worry lines could be seen on the face

She is nice soul on earth and can be appreciated
But her actions could not be supported or related
In one side she claimed to be principled lady
On other side she preferred to compromise and got ready

She is dying for her old love and miss
She may feel sorry and remain displeased
I was stunned to hear all what she had in mind
Yet her doors were open for old love to find

She found two days absence as long two years
He was not seen on line or left words to hear
She was restless to find him near
But was in fact afraid and shivered with fear

She was for all praise about her past friend
Her goal was lost love and ultimate end
I, for one, could not stop her from going ahead
It was her thinking and appeared to her end

It was double horse ride and involved great risk
Either it was to be kept secret or not to be asked
You were to loose everything in the long run
As it was neither a feasible nor a fair fun

I failed to persuade her and decided to leave
She was unmoved and refused to believe
Though I claimed to be her close associate
It was difficult for me to stay and cooperate

Good things only can be accepted in friend circle
Else it may create problems and invite troubles
It may be felt with regret later on but of no use
As it may prove futile cry in wilderness

Caught Up In The Investing Of Bait

Those caught up in the investing of bait,
To have their way...
Find much too late,
We all will learn from our mistakes.
With lessons to learn.
And many of those lessons come,
Without the avoidance of heartache.

The ones who benefit most from this process,
Seem to be the ones selected to be victimized.
With opened eyes now wide and a clarity,
That does not keep them distanced.
A retaliation is sought to return a misunderstanding.
With the use of a mental weapon to unleash,
Like never before or ever felt needed to display.

Those caught up in the investing of bait,
To have their way find much too late...
How difficult it is to admit mistakes.
And escapes are out of the question.
Especially when the paying for them,
Comes at a time they can least afford.
As those baited are at the door seeking revenge.

'Remember me?
I have something of your doing,
I would like to return.
Don't look so frightened.
I am as harmless as you thought I was.
And I will do the best I can,
To leave you with a taste of it.
My interpretation...
Of course.
Aren't you going to invite me in? '

Remarried

When I married, I have dreams
When I married, I have trust
When I married, I have hope
When I married, I have life
When I married, I have love
When I married, I have respect
When I married, I have honor
When I divorced, all are gone
By leaving me in hell

Until I am divorced
I don’t know the value of marriage
Now life is broken glass
Spread the pieces across the road
Nobody wants to step on it

Trying to fix the feelings
But they are always going back to the time
It is the pain between present and past
Struggling to move to future
Divorce is the evil
It killed my glorious memories
Stuck up in the present and
Stumbling into future

Whom to blame in this game
This is the game of blames
This is the game of failure
This the game no one wins
Don’t try to play it for fun
It is difficult to accept the defeat

I learnt about forgiveness
Now there is no one left to forgive
Forgiving my self for all my faults

I want the love
I want the hope
I want the respect
I want the honor
These are the things
No one gives freely
We need to give it first
Definitely it will come back fast
The more you give
The more you get

How can I marry again?
If you lost a leg
You can walk with artificial leg
If you lost sight
You can see with glasses
But if you lost your heart
It is difficult to marry again.

Marriage and divorce
How many times we can enter this loop
The more you play
The heart becomes more brittle
Life becomes sick
Difficult to feel
The feeling of decisiveness

No fun in counting
After completion of game
Who cheated whom?
How many times?

It is better to play Marriage game
When we play continuous,
We have opportunity to improve ourselves
Don’t stop the game in between
To count your mistakes
As long as you play there are no winners
The moment you stop, both are losers
Marriage is a game, which never ends

I love my spouse
Whom I left once
If I am not loving,
Why am I thinking?
We are planning to start
The marriage game once again
Divorce is a quarrel
Settled by God as referee
This time we decided
Not to stop it until we die.

The Radiance Of Pure Being

In the light of another sun
much brighter than this one
there no darkness is ever seen
as the mind of thought is clean.

When the ladder is climbed to that domain
what any go there with except love is vain.
Everything else may or can exist below
which is only what this light does show.

There is the Radiance of Pure Being
the like of which few are ever seeing.
A very rare experience by actual sight is had
as the mind is bewildered but the soul is glad.

Intellect and reason have been left behind
as all else except to that light one is blind.
Intuition or direct perception is the means
whereby the mind at its own source gleans.

Any limitations and divisions there don’t exist
only the effulgence of True Light does persist.
Though we receive light and warmth from the stars, moon and sun
all the light in the universe put together can’t ever equal That One.

Could it be That from which all of existence flows
as time and space by mind’s true reflection shows
and whatever seen here is the becoming of That which forever is;
in tangible finite shape or form a manifestation of The Infinite is?

The Radiance of Pure Being is also the essence of everyone’s soul
and so is seen after self effort and grace have performed their role.
To live through all of our days in life and be ignorant of That Light
isn’t what any of us have been born for in this world or given sight.

This poem relates to an experience vouchsafed to me while staying in the ashram of Swami Muktananda Paramahansa back in 1978. It was almost 20 years after that time the words or inspiration came to write about it.

Unforgettable Conscious Actions

Unforgettable conscious actions,
Forgiven with time...
But not from a mind erased.
As those memories come with intent to retrace,
In intervals of intermissions,
As if to stay replayed...
Between wanted acts of forgetting.

It is difficult to pretend,
Not to be affected emotionally by them.
Since unforgettable conscious acts,
Remain in one's mind to be noticed.
And felt to refreshen a sting that hurts.
With a leaving of an effectiveness,
Remembered.

Like the first time one's faith is lost,
In someone loved and seen cheating.
Again! To leave one feeling defeated,
From a repeated beating that does not end.
Unforgettable.
And on one's conscious mind,
Are these actions.

Seek Me Much Deeper People

You've got to seek Me,
Within yourselves...
Deep,
People.
Beneath that shallowness,
You wish to keep...
Hidden and discreet!

You've got to seek Me,
Much deeper...
People.
If you wish to receive,
A clarity that's reaped.
One I can give.
To fulfill your needs.

You've got to open wide those squinting eyes.
To enable Me to recognize...
Those proclaiming to have God inside,
Of them residing.

You've got to open wide,
Those half shut eyes.
With a removal of those layers,
Deceiving yourselves...
As if kept as a prize.
I am often surprised and bewildered 'Why'?

You've got to seek Me,
Much deeper...
People.
If you wish to receive,
A clarity that's reaped.
One I can give.
To fulfill your needs.

You've got to seek Me,
Within yourselves...
Deep,
People.
Beneath that shallowness,
You wish to keep...
Hidden and discreet!

You've got to,
Keep your faith and just believe.
With that God side residing inside.

Stay away from fantasies.
With a keeping of those eyes,
Fixed on Me!

Keep your faith and just believe.
With that God side residing inside.
With a keeping of those eyes,
Fixed on Me!
People.

You've got to seek Me,
Within yourselves...
Deep,

Beneath that shallowness,

If you wish to receive,

To fulfill your needs.

'Who is it that you seek and repeat those words? '

Him or Her...
The Omnipresent,
The All Knowing!
Who's blessings surround us,
With a showing.

'OH?
And what religion does He or Her,
Represent? '
