Forever Bloodshot
Creating enemies,
Does not prepare one...
To become hunted.
Although a haunting of one's deeds,
Keeps the sadness in eyes...
Forever bloodshot!
And recognized.

Haunting
(carly simon)
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
Like an echo in the wind leaves, unreconciled -
Waiting to be picked up and bounced down again on
Listeners ears
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And you know who I am
Though I never leave my name or number
Im locked inside of you so it doesnt matter
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And you know who I am
Though I never leave my name or number
Im locked inside of you so it doesnt matter
Theres always someone haunting someone - haunting someone
And I cant sleep easy
cause Im afraid of dreaming
And then the memory of the dream
Theres always someone haunting someone
Haunting someone

If God Made You
Hey Kid Your time has come to change
Though I need you more than I've needed anyone in any way tonight
Hey Kid I know it won't be long
The Captain's callingcome to see you back where we belong
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there's somewhere better than this
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can't say what I might believe
But if God made you he's in love with me
Hey KidDo wishes count at all
Can you give me a signgive me anything I won't tell a soul you told
Hey KidWill you hold me when I sleep
Will you find me when the tide decides that I got to leave
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there's somewhere better than this
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can't say what I might believe
But if God made you he's in love with me
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in your eyes
I can't say what I might believe
But if God made you he's in love with me
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there's somewhere better than this my love
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can't say what I might believe
But if God made you he's in love with me
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in your eyes
I can't say what I might believe
But if God made you he's in love with me

A Paradox of Joy...
a boy was hurt
but he could not just be a boy forever
a man too is hurt
but he could not just be a man forever
and so the hurt or whatever you name it
pain, grief, trauma
psychosis
or simply sadness
with the poetic twist of a gentle lamentation
cannot be forever that boy or that man
there is something divine in all these
gifts as you may wish
there is something that polishes that rough stone
turn it into a very precious diamond
like the story of the clam and
its pearl
that sadness exist
but sadness cannot be sadness forever
hope, that is the wish
there is no permanence in all of these
wait, from this door to the stair and to the horizon of a black line
someone comes, it is something bringing everything for you
exalt, exalt
in extreme silence....

Good bye sadness
Good bye Sadness
She is so happy now
That you are out of her mind
You finally vanished
Good bye Sadness
Why are you called Sadness?
Because that’s the name they given you
You make people cry
You even made her cry too many times
There was a dark cloud hanging in her eyes
For a long tine
And now it is gone
Good bye sadness
She doesn’t need to see you again
You are also painful
Good bye sadness
You belong in the sad Sea
Where the pain lays
Among the dead fishes
In that sad Sea
The oil from that big ship and vessels
Pollutes this sad Sea
She doesn’t want to be a part of the Sad Sea either
Because it is sad to see
All that wild life dies
Good bye sadness
You never had anything good to offer her anyway
Pain and more pain you brought her all through those years
But the truth is that she had to go through it
To appreciate the good stuff
Yes sadness I can tell you she went through with it
For a long time
Good bye sadness
Please stay away from her forever
She doesn’t need you in her life
Sadness breaks everybody’s hearts
Her heart was broken too many times
By you sadness
Good bye sadness

Bloodshot Eyes
Not all bloodshot eyes
are caused by the demon
known as Mr Alcohol.
There are times when
sleepless nights of worry
pacing the floor at midnight
waiting for a loved one
who is late beyond compare
or times when love
is entangled in a snare
and two hearts that beat as one
start drifting apart.
Then in the long darkness
and the ache of longing
keeps you from your sleep
and you get the prize
of looking in the mirror
with those bloodshot eyes.

A War Song to Englishmen
Prepare, prepare the iron helm of war,
Bring forth the lots, cast in the spacious orb;
Th' Angel of Fate turns them with mighty hands,
And casts them out upon the darken'd earth!
Prepare, prepare!
Prepare your hearts for Death's cold hand! prepare
Your souls for flight, your bodies for the earth;
Prepare your arms for glorious victory;
Prepare your eyes to meet a holy God!
Prepare, prepare!
Whose fatal scroll is that? Methinks 'tis mine!
Why sinks my heart, why faltereth my tongue?
Had I three lives, I'd die in such a cause,
And rise, with ghosts, over the well-fought field.
Prepare, prepare!
The arrows of Almighty God are drawn!
Angels of Death stand in the louring heavens!
Thousands of souls must seek the realms of light,
And walk together on the clouds of heaven!
Prepare, prepare!
Soldiers, prepare! Our cause is Heaven's cause;
Soldiers, prepare! Be worthy of our cause:
Prepare to meet our fathers in the sky:
Prepare, O troops, that are to fall to-day!
Prepare, prepare!
Alfred shall smile, and make his harp rejoice;
The Norman William, and the learnèd Clerk,
And Lion Heart, and black-brow'd Edward, with
His loyal queen, shall rise, and welcome us!
Prepare, prepare!

Twice As Hard
Clean as a whistle
Smellin like a rose
She got no dirty little fingers
Bloodshot eyes are gone
Tell me Im wrong
Twice as hard
As it was the first time
I said goodbye
And no one ever wanna know
Love aint funny
A crime in the wink of an eye
Your sister always singing
She play the step child
A broken little memory
Her heart was never kind
Tell me Im blind
(repeat chorus)
Yeah, bloodshot eyes are gone
Tell me Im wrong
(repeat chorus 5 times)

Bear Me and I am Born
If I die in the gutter today, stumbling blind and stuttering,
Will you help me on my way?
Will you place copper lids upon my eyes?
Will you pay my fare across the river of life’s forgetting?
Opium fuelled madness,
A heart lone sadness
Bloodshot eyes
Bloodshot skies
Barren desert distress
The earth is mine to wander
My mother to love
My lover to adore.
Close the blinds to find your mind
Take the time commit a crime
How does it feel?
Do I seem real to you?
Do you feel as though you could reach out?
Could you touch me if you wanted to?
The kiss of bliss is mine to miss
What strange a life, a world is this.
Electric light made day from night
The blind by touch received new sight.
Still they may stare into the eyes of the sun god swallowing.
Still we are left wallowing in pity our own
Still we are to call the hive our home.
Leave the city bleeding
Go breed within the shadows
The catacombs of hearts torn and hollow.
Wear me I'm worn
Tear me I'm torn
Bear me and I am born

Sadness Is The Silence That Dare Not Write A Word
SADNESS IS THE SILENCE THAT DARE NOT WRITE A WORD
Sadness is the silence that dares not write a word -
Sadness is the inward pain that aches to be once heard-
Sadness is the nothingness of what one forever is-
Sadness is the emptiness of nothing real to give-

My Sadness Is Who I Am Also
MY SADNESS IS WHO I AM ALSO
My sadness is who I am also-
It weighs in me-
It sinks through my eyes-
Even in my laughter and joy
It complicates and questions-
Sadness is so so deep in me-
Why I do not know.
I see my father’s eyes in me
In all mirrors-
Grief is for the long gone and long ago-
Part of Sadness is this also.

Waterfront
Leave me alone, get out, out of my face
Leave me alone, get out, out of this place
Stop haunting me! stop haunting me!
Stay in the shade, keep out of my way
What do you want of me? how low can you be?
Stop haunting me! stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
Your mouth big as the moon
Youre like a hole for two
You know what I mean when I say
Strange beasts live in you
Stop haunting me! stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
Theres so much dirt you spread
How low can you get, I am so sick of you
You keep coming back
Stop haunting me! stop haunting me!
On the waterfront, on the waterfront,
On the waterfront, on the waterfront

Africa Rise!
Africa your kindness and loyalty should cover us,
Our enemies are alive and healthy,
We are bent and bowed down through the will of our sadness,
They have made us walk bowed in sadness,
Most of our lives we have wear black clothes as a sign of sadness,
Africa they should fall in their own traps,
Let them grumble in their own nets like fishes,
Let them bury themselves in their own pits,
Let them be embarrassed to speak their known lies,
But rise Africa.
As you do this, do not think you are doing us favour,
For you betrayed our ancestors,
You gave us away like sheep in the market place,
You took away all our talented blood to work in your fields,
You let our enemies push us back while you were watching,
You let them laugh at us but I will not say a thing,
You have allowed them barn our music, languages and attires,
But rise Africa.
My soul waits patiently to see you great again.
Who suppressed your growth shall grown in pain!
May their evil movement be like that of a snail, which melts as it moves,
May your enemies disappear as water as grass burned in water,
May they be destroyed quickly as grass burning in winter,
Until then, Africa will rise.

In Memory...
No one told me the way I should feel
You left an aching heart
Lost and lonely, the feeling goes on
You were the one friend I had
You gave me so much love
Now the tears remind me youre gone
It still haunts me theres a silence
Where you used to be
It still haunts me
Just an empty space in history
It still haunts me
But life must go on, on and on
Its still haunting me
Its still haunting me
Haunting me
Haunting me

Laura
(mercer/raskin - additional lyrics by carly simon)
Lead-in with haunting:
Theres always someone, haunting someone, haunting someone,
I cant sleep easy, cause Im afraid of dreaming
And then the memory of the dream
Theres always someone, haunting someone, haunting someone
Laura is the face in the misty night
Footsteps that you hear down the hall
The laugh that floats on a summers night
That you might never quite recall
And you see laura on a train that is passing through
Those eyes how familiar they seem
She gave your very first kiss to you
That was laura but shes only a dream
She gave your very first kiss to you
That was laura
But shes only a dream
Yes she gave your very first kiss to you
That was laura, but shes only a dream
A dream, a dream

Sadness Is Twilight
SADNESS IS TWILIGHT
Sadness is twilight
Sadness is old age
Sadness is the waiting
For one who will not come-
Sadness is this fading inside
This sinking we cannot define-
Sadness is this sadness
This loss of all meaning
And all rhyme.
Sadness is sadness
Fading and decline.

Getting Good Deeds Done
The best of good deeds,
Are not the ones discussed to be done!
The best deeds that are good...
Are those deeds lived,
And done by the ones who know
When and how to give!
Getting deeds done
Without discussions,
Weaken good intentions...
With diminishing attention given!
And spoken words without action,
Provide no satisfaction.
Although distracts with attraction,
That gets everyone talking...
And then walking away,
Just to say,
They promised they would come!
They promised to provide support...
But not get involved,
With getting good deeds done.
They see deeds as no lasting remedy!
But distortions of their involvement,
In the eyes of everyone!

Replacement Theology
Replacement Theology, as it is called, to many hearts has been sold,
A belief by many that’s been bought, from distorted teachings taught.
The belief that Israel has no place, within God’s eternal plan of Grace,
And replaced by Christ’s Church, which in Acts, by Christ was birthed.
The very present Church of God, that’s spread across the earthly sod,
Has replaced God’s own Nation, which bears His eternal identification.
Some saying Jerusalem’s not literal, but a city to be taken as spiritual,
But, that’s where God put His Name, and on the city to forever remain.
Denying God’s chosen Holy Land, is simply playing into Satan’s hand,
Creating religious and political strife, to prepare that way for Antichrist.
Even the dividing of Jerusalem, that city where many killed God’s Son,
In a vain attempt to broker peace, with people who are God’s enemies.
This didn’t come from God’s Throne, but began in the Church of Rome,
Who had denied God’s people Israel, to satisfy their own religious will,
One, which replaced love with hate, for the people of God’s Holy state.
Belief that Israel can be replaced, according to their ideas, is debased.
For what God has put firmly in place, shall remain forever by his Grace,
The same Grace which saves everyone, who comes to faith in His Son.
The people of Israel can be assured, of all the promises from The Lord,
For whatever God said, He will do, just as He will, for both me and you.

Roll Up Your Sleeves
You'd like to realize your dreams.
And you seek from me and others,
'Sound' advice you wish to uncover.
Take your eyes off the prize.
Try to think of it as icing on a cake,
You have yet to bake with lessons learned...
As if you want the reputation of a chef,
Not just a cook.
Roll up your sleeves.
Become familiar,
With 'everything' in the kitchen you need.
And prepare to live your life,
Totally devoted...
To delivering each meal spiced,
With 'all' ingredients that are liked.
Become fast friends with sacrifice.
And...
MAYBE 'then',
With a 'perhaps' attached...
What you dream will be recognized,
As something 'you' alone will be proud to achieve.
With a sweating done...
Some believe others for them,
Should do!
If you can go through that...
And survive!
Those dreams perceived will come true for you!
But first...
Roll up your sleeves.
And prepare to accept rejection!
If you're in it to win it...
You will whistle as you clean toilet bowls.
That's the magic of success!
Doing something you would never accept...
Or expect that you would do.
But you will do it to get what 'you' want done!
And don't be afraid to feel a bit gloomy,
When using a broom to sweep up a room.

Corpses In The Woods
A dung heap of rotting corpses:
Glazed eyes, bloodshot,
Brains split, guts spewed out
The air poisoned by the stink of corpses
A single awful cry of madness.
Oh, women in France,
Women of Germany
Regard your menfolk!
They fumble with torn hands
For the swollen bodies of their enemies,
Gestures, stiff in death, become the touch of brotherhood,
Yes, they embrace each other,
Oh, horrible embrace!
I see and see and am struck dumb
Am I a beast, a murderous dog?
Men violated
Murdered.
