Some had been on sleeves.
For years grieving
With emotions deep.
And taken for granted...
By those who believed them weak,
And soft of spine.
They loved too much...
And too much left behind.
To be found in concern...
For someone who had not learned,
To recognize
Sincere eyes that carried love!
The flight of the naked hearts...
Chose to depart
Instead of dipping into bitterness.
And broken hearts to mend...
To heal and break again!
With arguments to defend...
Why they love!
And love like theirs will never end!

Who practice spewing venom,
Will come to understand.
Until an unsuspecting fang...
Appears from the mouth of a friend claimed.
Who pierces them to expose
Blood that's sucked!
A loved one they gave up,
Would never have had those thoughts to allow!
Or inflict that kind of pain!
And no unconditional love left comes...
To heal the depth of the drip dropp blood letting,
Felt in this sorrow!
Is left to regain!
All tomorrows...
And the comfort known

I think about how
I love.
The first time
I hung onto him
So hard with my heart,
That when he left

From birth tiny hearts all grow
As they mature they will know
What hearts are created for
Not by their sizes alone
Do mature hearts become known
Hearts need be judged by much more
Hearts can be carelessly torn
Readily become careworn
Life will lend each heart some pain
Yet such forlorn hearts will heal
Careworn hearts learn how to deal
Mended hearts strength thereby gain
Hearts become bruised and broken
By cruel words that are spoken

Lessons Learned
(9/15/12)
There is a lesson that I have learned
And in my heart will forever burn.
Love your partner as you love yourself
And in your heart they will forever dwell.
Look in their eyes and see their emotions
Look even deeper and see the devotion
Take my love and gently place it in your heart
And watch it grow from the start.
My love is called "DAY" and as the day
Meets the rising sun, and also greets
The setting sun, this love can never be undone.
I will love you 24/7 and make you
Feel as if you reached heaven.
You will no longer see the gloom of night
For my love will make things right.
There is a lesson in what I say
For I loved you yesterday
And I will love you even more today.
At times we have to take our hearts
And remold and reshape it like a piece of clay
To fit the changes made from day to day.
We have to remind ourselves that love
Is always there, and it's something beautiful
That we must share.
If you would like to hear the music of love
Then place your ear upon my chest
And let your own heart do the rest.
For when two hearts beat as one
There is nothing left to be done.

Knowing We Can Still Do That
You hurt me.
And when I healed from it,
I realized it was your hurt.
Something you wanted me to feel.
Something you chose to inflict,
To expose and dispose of my deepest emotions.
You left me wounded.
Have you mended from your pain?
What did you have to gain?
Strength to tell me you apologize?
That you can now look into my eyes to say that?

Murder My Broken Heart
Slash break.
Keep the love you claim to make.
Break my heart you have put to starve.
For you and only you do I want this dark mark.
Rip and slit,
The wounds that have been cut.
By you and only you do this blood still falls.
I just want you there,
In sight with a tear.
The cure to my pain is you.
