Extra! Extra! Have You Heard Who Did Who...
Extramarital this.
Extracurricular that.
Extra! Extra!
Have you heard who did who...
As gossiped at the laundromat?
Let us all get real petty.
Since those self righteous,
Have microscoped some facts!
It seems a pristined society,
Has had its image smudged.
Unfaithful athletes are having sex.
And their spouses are being snubbed.
So appalling are their actions.
These idols of our kids.
How can any of us walk with dignity...
Knowing what these folks,
Behind our backs did!
And this is offensive to our way of life.
With a highlighting of our standards,
To reflect what is done undercover.
With a getting of their 'rocks' off...
As if they have the right!
Extramarital this.
Extracurricular that.
Extra! Extra!
Have you heard who did who...
As gossiped at the laundromat?
Let us all get real petty.
Since those self righteous,
Have microscoped some facts!
Adulterous folks are having sex.
And wiping their bare feet,
On foreign welcome mats!
And everyone secretly wishes to know,
If what was done...
Was irresistably good!
Like that which is given in discreet,
And sneaked in deceit.

A little extra, from an extra ordinary woman
She goes out of her way and travels that extra mile
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She consoles you, smiles with you, cries with you and for you
A little extra than anyone else
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She spends on you a little extra than she does on her own self
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She uses her extra strength and wisdom to pick you up when you fall
She blinds her sight to your imperfections
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She loves you a little extra just to stand out different
From all those who love you
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She starves herself so that you may eat a little extra
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She forgives you all the time
Even when you guilty mind knows you don’t deserve such kindness
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She may not be the most perfect woman but
She is indeed an extra ordinary woman
She is your mother, your wife, your fiancee, your girlfriend
Your sister, your grandmother and your daughter
You best appreciate her

Anything To Be Happy
What would you do for a touch of happiness
Would you run that extra distance
Would you spend that extra hour
Would you show that extra effort
What would you do for a touch of happiness
Would you feel that extra pain
Would you spend that extra cash
Would you drive that extra mile
What would you do for a touch of happiness
People would do anything to be happy
It is something they need
They do the “extras”
When it is all quite simple
Happiness comes from the inside

Claim To Fame
Talk-talk, yak-yak
Watch you pull that old one track
Get it up and get it back
Making it upon your back
No space, no rent
The moneys gone, its all been spent now
Tell me bout your claim to fame
Now aint that some claim to fame
Extra, extra, read all about it now
Extra, extra, something bout a claim to fame
Ooohhh sweet mama, ooohhh sweet mama
Something bout your claim to fame
Wet lips, dry now
Ready for that old hand out, now
Aint that some claim to fame
Spaced out, spaced in
The heads round, the squares flat
Aint that some claim to fame
Now tell me aint that some claim to fame
Extra, extra, read all about it now
Extra, extra, something, something bout some claim to fame
Ooohhh-wheee sweet mama, extra, extra, something
Something bout your claim to fame
Yeah now
I said now, extra, extra
Something bout your claim to fame
I said now, extra, extra
Something bout your claim to fame
Ooohhh mama, said now, extra, extra
Something bout your claim to fame
Extra, extra, something bout a
About a, about a, something bout your claim to fame
Extra, extra, something bout a
bout a, bout a, something bout your claim to fame
Ooohhh, ooohhh sweet mama
Something bout your claim to fame
Oh, ooohhh sweet mama
Something bout your claim to fame

A Sunday Prayer 12
Dear Lord as I pray to you today
for help for all of us everywhere
to get through another day.
There are some in this world,
who need an extra blessing from you.
Their quality of life is not what it should be.
They are look on by some
as burden to our society.
They are pointed at with fingers,
by those showing little or no respect.
It is for these individuals that I want
you to give an extra blessing today.
Those among us who cannot
for whatever reason defend themselves.
Some have suffered terrible injuries
by either life or accident.
They need extra care from you
to see their lives through.
So as I finish this prayer
for Sunday my Lord.
Could you give them
a little extra of your time?

Crazy and Lazy
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
Instead of one bag of chips they offer a free extra pack.
They wish to sail through life without knowing the facts.
And we know they're crazy and lazy.
With attention spans no wider than an inch.
Everything they do makes not one bit of sense.
And the more you listen to them,
Of that you are convinced...
They are much too crazy and lazy.
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
Instead of one bag of chips they offer a free extra pack.
They wish to sail through life without knowing the facts.
And we know they are crazy and lazy.
Kicked to the curb and pounced.
These kids don't deserve to be bounced.
And announced by voices heard...
They are worthless to a society,
That is pathetically absurd.
Yet it's fashionably irrational.
Kicked to the curb and pounced.
These kids don't deserve to be bounced.
And announced by voices heard...
They are worthless to a society,
That is pathetically absurd.
It's a painful scene screaming agony.
With attention spans no wider than an inch.
Everything they do makes not one bit of sense.
And the more you listen to them,
Of that you are convinced...
They are much too crazy and lazy.
It's a painful scene screaming agony.
To see this being done to people consciously.
It's crazy and lazy!
It's a painful scene screaming agony.
To see this being done to people consciously.
It's crazy and lazy!
It's a painful scene screaming agony.
To see this being done to people consciously.
It's crazy and lazy!
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
And crazy and lazy!
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
And crazy and lazy!
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
And crazy and lazy!
With two snaps up they think they are 'all' that.
And crazy and lazy!

A whore is holier
A woman in extra marital love
With a man, though in mind,
A woman in extra marital sex
As an accident,
The former is more adulterous.
The latter is still faithful.
Don’t mix love and sex.
A whore is holier than a paramour.

Tonight
Tonight is a extra special night.
Not only because the stars are shing extra sparkley
Or because the moon is full of love and joy.
Tonight is extra special because
I am with you under the pail sky lying together making eachother laugh. Telling eachother what we want to here.
Listening to the grass willow beneath us.
While we whisper in eachother's ear.
One's hoping for a little midnight walk or maybe even a midnight kiss

Extras
THE CROCUSES in the Square
Lend a winsome touch to the May;
The clouds are vanished away,
The weather is bland and fair;
Now peace seems everywhere.
Hark to the raucous, sullen cries:
“Extra! extra!”—tersely flies
The news, and a great hope mounts, or dies.
About the bulletin-boards
Dark knots of people surge;
Strained faces show, then merge
In the inconspicuous hordes
That yet are the Nation’s lords.
“Extra! extra! Big fight at sea!”
Was the luck with us? Is it victory?
Dear God, they died for you and me!
Meanwhile the crocuses down the street
With heaven’s own patience are calm and sweet.

Strength to have extra perception
Extra perception to know

Evil is making a home of my heart

Monday Morning Coffee
Most people don't look forward to Monday mornings...
I do.
It's the start of something new...
It's a clean slate
I like my Monday morning ritual
I wake up extra early.
Well,
It's early for me.
I get ready for work.
Hopeful,
That it will be a pretty good week.
I go to my favorite doughnut shop.
It really is owned by a mom and a pop...
I walk in at 6: 30
Two smiling faces greet me
She always says a 'good morning'
And,
He's either whistling or singing to the doughnuts...
Maybe that's why they're so extra sweet
An extra tasty treat.
I don't even have to ask anymore
An extra large coffee waits for me
And a
Perfect
Cloud
Melt in your mouth
Beautiful in it's simplicity
Glazed Doughnut
Friendly faces and a delicious treat
It's a great way for me to start my week..
On the corner of Chino Ave and Peyton Street
My Monday morning
Look forward to it treat.

Not extra walk
In my life
In my day to day activities
If I am not honest
If I am not truthful
Not clear not transparent
If I am on wrong path
Destroy me throw me out
Throw me out from this
Celetial blessed holy
Heavenly world.
I am not telling
Anything extra
Not doing extra walk.
If I am no in righttrack
Put me in to the hell
Put me in to the hades
Put me in to the abyss.

Qualified To Do
The only thing that qualifies most who are not scutinized,
Are looks of images created to project and portray...
What is wished to be perceived and believed.
And unfortunately for others who are microscoped,
Competence, looks and intelligence together,
Are rarely in the mix when images are created...
To meet expectations that rely on accountability.
This just doesn't happen when folks seek mediocrity.
Since it isn't publicly revealed,
Only images are sought to appeal.
People of intelligence present threats to the status quo!
And although those who prefer to go unchallenged,
Are often the ones selecting image over substance...
To address their standards that are valued,
They are often given an attention to debate...
Without reason,
Why their insults placed upon responsible folks...
Should merit a listening to their fault finding.
The only real thing image seekers are qualified to do!
And insist with persistence their 'senses' are common.

It's Autumn-atic!
The heatwave's gone! The sun retreats! The Summer bids adieu!
'What a scorcher! ' thus completes the season known as 'Phew! '
It's 'Autumn-atic' what ensues and Winter waits its turn...
September starts its coloured hues on trees as green as fern.
Is that a chill within the bones? Rheumatic pains increase.
Across the nation, hear the groans from those who can't find peace!
So on with extra togs on beds, our duvets to improve.
So on with extra logs from sheds, our living rooms to soothe.
The folks with central heating, too, turn up a notch each night.
It's no good if their feet turn blue, 'cos that would be a sight!
Out come the extra pairs of socks, the mittens and the scarves!
And soon we have to change the clocks we don't do things by halves!
We watch the roads in case of ice! We watch dark days take hold!
Then chestnuts ripen in a trice all shiny, good as gold!
Then Halloween's bewitching spell enchants, once cast, till past...
Bonfires burn as if from hell! Then Christmas comes AT LAST!

I'd Be RICH!
I have never felt more examined,
Microscoped and discussed...
Than anytime in my life,
Than 'now'.
From thought process,
To how I digest my food...
To my beliefs and what I pray to,
As if I exist as a novelty.
Sometimes I feel,
That I am an animated mannequin,
For many.
And in 'some' folks eyes,
I can see the surprise when I speak...
With elocution, tone and diction intact.
And no where will I go,
Will I ever forget I am black.
Or...
Should I say African-American,
To be politically correct...
About the whole concept,
Of where folks' heads are at?
I have never felt more examined,
Microscoped and discussed...
Than anytime in my life,
Than 'now'.
And don't think it hasn't occurred to me,
That IF I carried a basketball...
AND tapped danced in a shopping mall.
I'd be RICH!
Even if I didn't have a clue,
As to what I was doing.
All I would have to do is to be entertaining.

It's not how much you do, it's how often you do it. It simply doesn't matter if you make some monumental effort at any given time. You have it in your to give that extra little bit. You know that you could add that finishing touch. You know you can take that extra step.
