Ending of Pretensions
Like a brisk wind cool and quick,
To come a leave a resettling of dust...
To reconnect as dust to again settle.
With few remembering where it sat.
Or where it was at before the disturbance occurred.
As this is done,
Some are numb.
To anything or anyone.
And caring less if the Sun,
Is a solid or a ball of gas.
Few even bother to ask.
It's just a piece of heat.
An adult status has arrived!
Surprising some as it comes.
An acceptance fits without it being compromised.
Many bemoan age.
As if it can be skipped!
As if a youthful glow stops it.
And we can decide to hide.
From a process that adopts death.
Others find their happiness,
With an ending of pretensions.
And whistling freely.
Worthy of a skipping around the bush.
Picture it...
A skipping done absent of concern.
'...and 'this' has something to do with,
The brisk of wind?
That is cool and quick to come and leave? '
Well...
That depends on your fortunes.
I hope you are not relying on me,
To provide reason, purpose and clarity?
You should know I do not live in your neighborhood!
Does it appear to you I am trying to locate comprehension?

What's IN and What AINT Cool
To be considerate of others.
That's IN.
To be disrespectful on a daily basis?
That AINT cool.
Being there and caring with empathy expressed.
That's IN.
Self-centered people feeding greedy needs?
That AINT cool.
Calling someone or emailing, texting...
Or downloading a picture to send via computer.
That's IN.
Jealousy, envy, backstabbing...
And character assassinations?
That AINT cool.
In fact,
All that crap should be frozen!
What's IN and What AINT Cool,
Should be analyzed...
For the picking up of the good,
And the ditching that which is bad.
With a skipping over to a chapter of life,
That is lived for the harmony and joy of it!
What's IN and What AINT Cool?
Step and glide to the right side,
With the getting over of yourself.
Dry weepy eyes,
And leap into the light of a new dawn!
That's what's happening.
That's what's going on.
That's what's UP.
Leave that Down stuff on the ground,
And move!
Get up off your BUTT.
You 'feel' me?
You oughta.
Doin-The Sad Is My Life-Woe Is Me Shuffle,

Locked to be blocked and stored to rust.
And blown away when it turns to dust.
Shutting lips with movement.
Now that's what's Hip.
You got it?

Dust In The Wind
Music : Kerry Livgren
Lyrics: Kerry Livgren
I close my eyes
Only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Now, Don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Jumping Puddles
On a cool spring evening
saw cocooned young girl
skipping skipping skipping
while her mother’s blood
was dripping dripping dripping.
Not mashed
musky stench
stencil-plating
failure foetus
plastering out psyche
aberrant aborted spleen.
But razored edge
editing adult life.

Quick
Quick to dismiss,
That which is misunderstood.
And quick to do this often.
Because one can and could.
Quick to define something wrong.
Quick to complain about it,
All day long.
Quick to sit to nitpick and pull apart.
As if this quickness was intended from the start.
Quick to resist a comprehension that exist.
Quick to allow a temper tantrum fit.
Quick to whip up excuses...
And split to disappear.
Quick to discover the nearest exit!
That's what troublemakers do...
When they stir up others in raging fits!

Summer's Wind
Be weary, Lord of the summer wind,
Lord of the heat that you blow in,
Away with flowers, land and trees,
To stay them not, least all the trees.
Listen to this, all that I say,
Our land does die, and drift away.
Our living born upon the wind,
All of ours, and those of friends.
So we called upon the leave-filled wind,
The autumn one, of which were friends.
This wind of cool and gentle hand,
Not like the wind that stole our land.
And the heat did melt into the leaves,
And turned them colors from the trees.
Then the leave-filled wind bore them away,
And upon the land, they came to stay.
And stayed them there, till land-hard cold,
And then the land, the leaves they stole.
And after the harsh cold wind had blown,
And living soil again was sown,
Summer's wind came again to prey,
Upon our lands, most every day.
But our living land, the leaves did save,
And the summer's wind did blow away,
Never to re-live, the seasons day.
The cool soft wind now blows so free,
Upon the land, and through the trees.
All through the people, and over me.

Lessons Are There to Be Taught
The lessons are there,
To be taught.
But too few have the patience to learn.
Believing themselves already with class.
Skipping to miss a comprehension for them,
That never occurs in their minds to stir.
Since a yearning for it stays left unearned.
To leave the value of understanding,
None of their concern.

Skipping!
A little girl was skipping;
As she swung her skipping rope
The neighbors heard her singing
And the song she sang was - Quote:
'Mummy's in the parlour
And she's there with Uncle Fred,
Daddy's in the garage
Says she's doing in his head,
Auntie Jane was crying
Now she's swimming in the pool
And I must keep on skipping
'Til it's time to go to school.'
The neighbors saw her skipping
All along the afternoon,
She skipped a hundred singles
As she sang her little tune:
'Mummy's saying nothing
But she hasn't any clothes,
Uncle Fred is staring
With a chopper through his nose,
Auntie Jane is floating
But her face is turning black
And Daddy's in the garage
With a rope around his neck.'
A little girl was skipping
But there wasn't any sound,
I guess she'll still be skipping
When the sun goes down…

Cool Touch
Writers: leo sayer & alan tarney
Hanging out with the nighttime clientele
Place your ladder for the social climb
Same old routine that you know so well
Another opening and another line
Its the cool touch
Yeah the cool touch
Call your lover on the mobile phone
Cmon over well have some fun
Leave a message sayin theres no one home
I guess the good times just begun
Its the cool touch
Yeah the cool touch
Cool touch--too much--its too muich
Too much--cool touch--or not enough
Cool touch--too much--too much
Too much--cool touch--its not enough
Take me take me to the sky above
Fool me fool me with your words of love
Cool touch--too much
Now shes reclined in the back of the sports car
Champagne and glasses he slips right in
No passing stranger couldve torn them two apart
Some games you play and you just cant help but win
The cool touch
Yeah the cool touch
Cool touch--too much--its too much
Too much--cool touch--its not enough
Take me take me to the sky above
Fool me fool me with these words of love
Cool touch--too much
A wind is blowing through this get rich town
She wraps the fur round her pretty waist
He feels a shiver as he grips the wheel
Feeling strangely out of place
Bring me bring someone I can trust
All this glitters just a bag of dust
Cool touch--too much--its too much
Too much--cool touch--its not enough
I had enough of this cool touch
Kids stuff
But I cant get enough

Cuddled In A Sharing
Midnight flickers on the tip,
Of a candlewick lit.
With sparks of light flashing,
To enhance the romance of it.
And suddenly a glow surrounds,
Bestowing a flood of warmth that comes.
As a chilling wind whips,
The cool and brisk air...
Two inside cuddled in a sharing,
Ignore without a care as they stay focused.

Getaway Car
The first time I saw you you were
Chasin down
A cyclone
All alone in the field
With railyards and clovers I kept rollin on
Never thought youd wind up chasin
Me
I settle down
I wont hesitate
To hit the highway
Before you leave me to waste no
Ill settle up and Ill help you find something to drive
Before you drown yourself
Your tired of walkin
And you loathe the ground
The sideway belly touched your feet
Black moons to slowly to hold you down
With ring hand you take it out on me
Settle down
I wont hesitate to hit the highway
Before you leave me to waste
Saddle up and Ill help you find something to drive
Before you drive me insane
So get yourself a car
Drive it all alone
Get ourself a car
And ride it on the wind
Get yourself a car
And drive it all alone
Get yourself a car
And ride it on the wind yea
Yea well settle down
I wont hesitate to hit the highway
Before you leave me to waste
Settle up and Ill help you find something to drive
Before you drive me insane
Get yourself a car
And drive it all alone
Get yourself a car
And ride it on the wind
Get yourself a car
And drive it all alone
Get yourself a car
And ride it on the wind

Wind Blows And Stops
wind blows and stops
like a cycle of grief and glee
wind when blows brings with it many natural things
and grief, when they come
bring lot of tension, aggression and apprehension
when wind gets tired it stops and move away
leaves a message to come later
when a person has faced lot of sorrows
they are all gone
and leave a message to come later
wind blows and stops
like a cycle of grief and glee
wind blows and brings a new season, a refreshing weather
and glee, when it comes
it brings lot of hopes, aspirations, cheerfulness, exhilaration and jubilation
and when wind and glee have given sufficient happiness
they all are gone
and leave a message that they'll come later
for these all may come and these may go
but life goes on forever.
wind blows and stops
like a cycle of grief and glee

Poems Of The Heart (Their Origin)
Did you perhaps attend my Springtime class?
Participating flushed and imbued from past silences?
Or are you in the mountains now?
Masked in the rocky crags of camouflage?
Will i find you brisk as the Winter wind?
Or will you be still as the first leaf of Fall upon the sod?
And what of your eyes-are they still filled with Summer intent?
With perhaps the beginnings of your first poem?
Are you at last out from the shadows that once spoiled you?
Or are your ears now filled with the music of rhyme?
And your breaths-are they the reason for the seasons?
What of your purpose-is it now defined by rhyme so sublime?
Has it at last arrived in your heart?
Where all poems have been born throughout time.

Ghost of You
Whistling wind
Crashing waves
Hot white sand
And high caves
The smell of grass
The taste of sand
The sight of happiness
Cool skin 'gainst my hand
Footballs and soccer
Cameras and lenses
Exercise and hugs
Sitting watching movies
Hiking the bush
Cycling in the heat
Slaving at work
Blisters on my feet
Ur cool lips
Ur smooth legs
Ur delightful smile
things i won't forget
But no joy
Do they give
They merely remind
Me of what i could've
Everywhere i go
In the things i do
I'm constantly haunted
By the ghost of you
Trying so hard
To get you out my head
But The ghost of you
Still isnt dead

The Skipping-Rope
SURE never yet was antelope
Could skip so lightly by.
Stand off, or else my skipping-rope
Will hit you in the eye.
How lightly Whirls the skipping-rope !
How fairy-like you fly !
Go, get you gone, you muse and mope -
I hate that silly sigh.
Nay, dearest, teach me how to hope,
Or tell me how to die.
There, take it, take my skipping-rope,
And hang yourself thereby.

My Heart Is A Caged Bird
My heart is a caged bird
Legs tied by the bond of
Relationships
Wings clipped by
Responsibilities
Crying in agony
Writhing with pain
Wants to fly
In the open skies
Leave every memory
Behind
Feel the heat of sun
Cool breeze on the body
Sing freely
Like the flowing water
Cross the oceans
Conquer the Mountains
Break the shackles of
Worldly rules
Live freely thereafter

Joy and sorrow
Who does not laugh?
Who does not cry?
Joy and sorrow
Are in Every body's life
Who does not hope?
Whose hope
Are always fulfilled
Who does not fear death?
Still new hope
Takes birth in the mind
Everybody keeps
On living

Cool Tombs
When Abraham Lincoln was shoveled into the tombs he forgot
the copperheads and the assassin . . . in the dust, in the
cool tombs.
And Ulysses Grant lost all thought of con men and Wall Street,
cash and collateral turned ashes . . . in the dust, in the
cool tombs.
Pocahontas' body, lovely as a poplar, sweet as a red haw in
November or a pawpaw in May, did she wonder? does she
remember? . . . in the dust, in the cool tombs?
Take any streetful of people buying clothes and groceries,
cheering a hero or throwing confetti and blowing tin
horns . . . tell me if the lovers are losers . . . tell me if any
get more than the lovers . . . in the dust . . . in the cool
tombs.

Sonnet: The Wind
What shakes the trees so violently? ’Tis Wind;
What moves the clouds hither/ thither? ’Tis Wind;
What takes the tornado around? ’Tis Wind;
What brings the sandstorm on the earth? ’Tis Wind.
What makes the cool and gentle breeze? ’Tis Wind
What makes the boughs and leaves to dance? ’Tis Wind;
What makes the autumn leaves to fall? ’Tis Wind;
What makes the honey-bees to fly? ’Tis Wind.
What makes pollen reach in showers? ’Tis Wind;
What makes the dust to climb towers? ’Tis Wind;
What spreads the perfume of flowers? ’Tis Wind;
What makes the rain-clouds advance far? ’Tis Wind.
What makes the Wind to blow? ’Tis God;
What makes a Tempest stop? ’ Tis our Lord.

Wind Me Up
I've got something
That you ought to know
Don't even know
Whether to come or go
Up down
Head's spinning around
Wind up in
The lost and found
Wind me up, Wind me up
Wind me up, Wind me up
Wind me up, Wind me up
Tell me why
You make it so hard
All I ask is
Finish what you start
Wind me up, Wind me up
Wind me up, Wind me up
Wind me up, Wind me up
Wind me up that's
All you do
Wind me up and
Leave me blue
I'd like to see if
You could be
Kind enough to me
When you
Wind me up
Don't take me places
Then wanna go home
Sometimes, I think
I'm better off alone
Hey girl, you know
What you do
Color me red
Then leave me blue

Frolicking Grains Of Dust Are Blown Away
Frolicking grains of dust are blown away,
are spreading everywhere,
blown away lies violets
in the marsh and veldt
and all kinds of birds
swish on their wings up and down
when the wind runs past skipping.
