Done

Started with intentions,
To finish.
Completed.
Satisfied with it,
And done.

Finish What You Started

(m. malamet/a. roboff/a. lang/d. lambert)
So, near yet so far
Thats how it is
Oh, thats how you are
What more can I do?
These walls wont let me get through
But if I know you, you will
Chorus:
Finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel, baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you
I know where I stand
A fool for your love
Oh, thats what I am
Im losin control
Youre down too deep in my soul
To let you go, wont ya
(repeat chorus)
Im standing here shakin
Wonderin if you let me in
Oh, dont watch my heart breakin
Knowing what we could have been
What more can I do?
Your heart just wont let me through
But if I know you (finish what you started)
And I think I know you, baby (finish what you started)
And you can really show me if
You finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel, baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you
I will wait for you (ahh)
Finish what you started
Im gonna wait for you
Finish what you started
Dont you keep me waitin (ohhh)
Finish what you started (ohhh)
Finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you

There's No Photo Finish Needed

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Who has succeeded.
For the one...
Undefeated.
For the one...
Who has completed,
Passing tests with peace of mind.
And doing this from time to time.

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Who has succeeded.
For the one...
Undefeated.
For the one...
Who has completed,
Passing tests with peace of mind.
And doing this from time to time.

Standing tall from a crawling done...
And doing this from time to time.
Walking while some others run.
And doing this from time to time,
Unsure what doing this would find.

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Who has succeeded.
For the one...
Undefeated.
For the one...
Who has completed,
Passing tests with peace of mind.
And doing this from time to time.
Unsure what doing this would find.
While others rush to a finish line.

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Who has succeeded.

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Undefeated.

There's no photo finish needed,
For the one...
Who has completed,
Passing tests with peace of mind.
And doing this from time to time.
Unsure what doing this would find.
While others rush to a finish line.
There's no photo finish needed,
Here!

Finish What Ya Started

Come on baby, finish what ya started
That aint no way to treat the broken hearted
If you wanna see other guys
Baby, I could let it slide
You wanna lover, you want a friend
Mama, I can be both of them
I got the tools to satisfy
Just walk away, if I fall shy at all
Come on baby, finish what you started
Im incomplete
That aint no way to treat the broken hearted
I need some sympathy
I like to take each step, one by one
Right on time, you will arrive
By keepin the dream alive
Its alive and its kicking
Inside of me
So come on baby, please
Come on baby, finish what you started
Im incomplete
That aint no way to treat the broken hearted
Come on and finish me
Come on baby, finish what you started
That aint no way to treat the broken hearted
Come on baby, finish what you started
That aint no way to treat the broken hearted
Baby, come on
Baby, come on

I Aint Ever Satisfied

I love the things that scare most folks to death
But I aint ever satisfied
Ill stay till the end or till im gasping for breath
But I aint ever satisfied
No, I am never satisfied
I can pretty much come and go as I like
But I aint ever satisfied
Hey, with no bottom line its hard to know wrong from right
But I aint ever satisfied
Ill try anything once but than I do it to death
But I aint ever satisfied
I expect the worse but I hope for the best
Oh, I aint ever satisfied
No, I am never satisfied
No, no, no, no, I am never satisfied
Cantt get enough, no, of nothing
Ive got seven of everything and more in the till
But I aint ever satisfied
You think its dangerous stuff
It aint even a thrill
I aint ever satisfied
Oh, I am never
No, I am never
I dont know why I aint ever satisfied

You're Just Never Satisfied

If you love me. why do you hurt me
Come on baby. don't desert me
I was there when you were in trouble
Now you're fine but I guess you changed your mind
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
I don't mind it when you get angry
I'm not asking for you to beg me
All I want to do is remind you
How many times I put my ass on the line
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
You're just never satisfied
You don't care if I stuck with you
Covered for you, put up with you
'Cause all you wanna do
Is try your love with somebody new
Ooh
I've been wasting my time
'Cause you're never satisfied
God only know why I try to please you
You're just never satisfied
You're just never satisfied

Unsatisfied

(Original by The Replacements )
Look me in the eye
then, tell me that I'm satisfied
Was you satisfied?
Look me in the eye
then, tell me that I'm satisfied
Hey, are you satisfied?
And it goes so slowly on
Everything I've ever wanted
Tell me what's wrong
Look me in the eye
and tell me that I'm satisfied
Were you satisfied?
Look me in the eye
then, tell me I'm satisfied
And now are you satisfied?
Everything goes
Well, anything goes all of the time
Everything you dream of
is right in front of you
And every dream is a lie
Look me in the eye
And tell me that I'm satisfed
Look me in the eye
Unsatisfied
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so dissatisfied
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so unsatisfied
Well, I'm-a
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so dissatis,dissattis...
I'm so

Im Satisfied With You

You dont dress up in satin,
You dont wear diamond rings,
But Im satisfied with you.
You look just like an angel but you havent got wings,
But Im satisfied with you.
Id rather have you just the way that you are
Than change you for somebody new.
Maybe I could do better if I reached for a star,
But Im satisfied with you.
Youre not made out of candy
But youre as sweet as you can be
So Im satisfied with you.
I just cant see no reason why you bother with me,
But Im satisfied with you.
I often wonder if its all a mistake;
Its hard to believe that its true.
But if Im only dreaming, I sure dont want to wake,
cause Im satisfied with you.
Im satisfied with you.

Early Works - Wishing Time

I walk through the cobwebs of my mind,
through the maze of thoughts and stories
pass the sadness and the heartaches
of the days that pass so quickly.
That are here and gone before you know it
and how you start but never finish
always wishing time would stand still
just to let you finish something you’ve started.

Hearts In Armor

(written by jude johnstone)
One more day
My hearts in armor
Though I meant to let you in
In an effort not to harm it
I have missed my chance again
I was singing when I freed you
But my pride was just a veil
I pretended not to need you
Now my heart tells a different tale
And every hour that goes by
The harder I become
Because I let that well run dry
Because I left you unanswered
Then like a fool I kept my secret
When it made no sense to try
Now I can no longer keep it
For its late and the moon is high
And every hour that goes by
The harder I become
Because I let that well run dry
Because I left you unanswered
One more day my hearts in armor
Though I did not see it then
I would finish what you started
If I had that chance again
I would finish what you started
If I had that chance again

Best Of Intentions

I had big plans for our future
Said I'd give you the whole world somehow
I tried makin' good on that promise
Thought I'd be so much further by now
Never could build you a castle
Even though you're the queen of my heart
But I've had the best of intentions from the start
Now some people think I'm a loser
'Cause I seldom get things right
But you make me feel like a winner
When you wrap me in your arms so tight
Please tell me you will remember
No matter how much I do wrong
That I had the best of intentions all along
Chorus:
I gave you a ring
And I promised you things
I always thought we'd do
But my best-laid plans
Slipped right through my hands
To show my love for you
And if you could read my heart
Then you'd know without exception
It was all with the best of intentions
Chorus
So here I am asking forgiveness
And praying that you'll understand
Don't think I take you for granted
Girl, I know just how lucky I am
Though you deserve so much better
You won't find devotion more true
'Cause I've had the best of intentions
Girl, I've had the best of intentions
Yes, I've had the best of intentions loving you

Musing on mortality

Musing on mortality.

Though we all start on equal terms
Your life experience will affirm.
All finish up as food for worms.

Some will win whilst others lose
We have no choice we can’t refuse
All finish up as food for worms.

Although we strive to stay alive
By any means we can contrive.
All finish up as food for worms

Some settle for cremation
An act of desperation.
All finish up as food for worms

Although the ashes are broadcast
They mingle with the soil at last.
All finish up as food for worms

That is the way it’s meant to be.
There is no doubt eventually.
All finish up as food for worms

The only true equality
Is found within the cemetery
ALL FINISH UP AS FOOD FOR WORMS.

Be As Discreet As Possible

Seeking to do something,
And wishing it completed?
It may be necessary to do it secretly.
Or at best..
Be as discreet as possible.

Projects created in their initial stages,
Have a way of attracting distractors...
Who may have good intentions,
But...
Unsolicited opinions,
Often come readily available...
From those who are experts in performing,
Acts of procrastination.

They are not there to assist,
Oh no.
They only show up to report to others,
Their wishes of what you should do...
But you are too ungrateful to give them time to listen.

The Satisfied Mind

With a mind thats satisfied
With a mind thats satisfied
That big ice cream cone in the sky
Floats right on by
The satisfied mind never needs more
It never forgets whatever its for
Beyond control of hot and cold
With a mind thats satisfied
Each one goes together alone
With a mind thats satisfied
In the middle of a heat wave
An ice cold drink is a major find
In the long dead end of winter
Frozen lovers dream of fire
With a mind thats satisfied
With a mind thats satisfied
Lucky ones learn that love is blind
They dont deny
The satisfied mind never needs more
Never regrets and never keeps score
In the middle of a heat wave
An ice cold drink is a major find
Simple facts you can depend on
Bits and pieces of desire
With a mind thats satisfied
That big ice cream cone floats on by
With a mind thats satisfied
Lucky ones learn that love is blind
With a mind thats satisfied
The satisfied mind is satisfied

Life's End

Then life was a wonderful happiness,
If its commencement was fulfilled by soceity,
If its finish was not of unhappiness
And the ending was its finish,
The very same as Fate.

One loved the purpose of existing on the World
As we were thrust headlong into peril of work
Yet made a finish.

The perils are to demand a finish,
and leave us with splendour,
To find Height at the Heaven.

Seen Before Throughout The Decades Passed

Those trying to 'find' themselves,
And have a firm hold onto their pretentions...
Only keep their intentions tricked.
Everytime they don a fresh masquerade.
Seen before throughout the decades passed.
But for those charading,
The fit for them...
Becomes something genuine,
To grab as a fast mask...
Until they are satisfied someone has been had!
