Did You Ask For Sarcasm?
You may pay to be mass produced.
Using to abuse your own talents.
And then you tell me with a straight face,
I'm not the one to recognize my own skills?
Not only do I recognize yours...
But,
I will give you a clue as to how aware I am.
'Sure.
Why not?
Amuse me,
Before I fall to sleep.'
You're not going to nod through this.
Trust me.
'Please.
Whatever you do,
Do not pull out any rabbits.
Flying birds.
Or talking mice.'
I can tell you anything,
And it's on the streets.
Like you are my press agent AND...
Publicist and head the department of advertising.
'Who said what and to who did somebody else,
Say to them that I said?
You can dropp some names on me if you like.
And there wont be none!
Because I am NOT like that.'
Yes you are.
And you should be just 'that' for yourself.
Just your gossiping alone,
Has saved me at least 80% of my advertising budget...
I've would have had to spend if not for you.
So don't feel offended.
I'm saying you are great at what you do,
But focus more of that attention on yourself.
And when you do...
You will be amazed by the results you will receive.
'Why are you being so sarcastic? '
You want to argue.
This is about business and what is cost effective.
Your heart says 'Yes! '
But your head is too thick with nonsense,
To notice you have a mind.
Was that 'you' who asked for sarcasm?
Or was that more of a demand?

As Long As Their Own Needs Are Met To Satisfy
If one has an ability,
Noticed and taken for granted...
One shouldn't be made to feel obligated,
To fulfill last minute requests...
As if the abilities one has to produce,
Seems effortless and easier to disrespect.
And available to be used to someone's advantage.
People seeking the ability of another,
Without giving them a consideration of what it takes...
Usually falsely represent their own agenda.
Especially if no compensation is mentioned.
And...
If the one being used brings attention to this,
Of course someone is offended.
'You offended 'them' by not doing what they expected.
Although your time and effort to create what they requested,
Is believed to be enjoyed.'
~It is enjoyed.
Should that mean I also find it easy?
And my ability is worthless?
What drugs are these people on? ~
'I remember being asked to do an entire play production,
For a family fund raiser several years ago.
With lighting and sound technicians.
For free! '
~What happened? ~
'I asked them what they had in their budget.'
~And...
What did they have in their budget? ~
'Hotdogs, sandwiches and soft drinks.'
~Maybe they have no clue as to who you are? ~
'They could care less about that.
As long as their own needs are met to satisfy.'
~And spend thousands of dollars to parade around,
In outfits to impress others...
While complaining those entertaining them,
Demand to get paid 'BEFORE' taking the stage.~
'It sounds as if you have been around? '
~I have.
And that I keep as my secret weapon.~

There is a great deal of advertising that is much better than the product. When that happens, all that the good advertising will do is put you out of business faster.

Too Blind To Recognize
Too blind to recognize.
No one really knew,
Who they saw on a regular basis.
And this was not encouraged,
To be expected to accept.
Yet discussing other people,
Was what they did best.
Too blind to recognize.
Too blind to recognize.
Disrespecting was all they knew.
And this they did with a full effect.
No one knew who did what.
Or who had experiences to share,
That would provide benefits all would get.
So no one saw to see to receive opportunities,
They would meet but too blind to recognize.
Too blind to recognize,
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Too blind to recognize,
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Just too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize...
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize.
Too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize...
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Too blind to recognize.

Bad n Ruin
(rod stewart, ian mclagan)
Mother dont you recognize your son, ooh hoo
Coming home, yeah yeah
Getting home, cause I failed you mother, hmm-mmm
Ill be there in the mornin
If you have me back
The rent up here is much too high
For a room without a tap
A room without a tap, hoo
Ill be early in the morning
And Ill find my way back home
Back home bad n ruin
With my tail between my legs
Tail between my legs
And Ill be so tired
Ill be so tired, now listen
Ill be early tomorrow morning
And Ill fall down off my plane
Dont be embarrassed mother
By your ugly worn-out son, hmm
Your ugly worn-out son.
So just let me warn you
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now, hoo
And Ill be down on cannon[? ] street
Passport in my hand
Should you could not recognize me
Ive heavily made-up eyes
Momma, you wont recognize me now
Brother, you wont recognize me now
Hello there
Sister, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Ooh, hoo
So mother when youve seen me
Dont forget Im your boy too
I know my brother has done you proud
Hes one foot in the grave
Mother dont you recognize me now ?
Im a burglar in the first degree
But it dont seem to worry me
Ill be so tired, so tired
Ill be so tired, so tired
So tired

Until My Head Falls Off
There were 87 advil in the bottle now theres 30 left
I ate 47 so what happened to the other 10?
Why do you suspiciously change the subject and break my concentration
As I dump the bottle out and I count the advil up again?
Dont interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thought
Have some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself
And Im not done
And I wont be till my head falls off
Hitting every pocket on my shirt, pants and overcoat
And Im hitting them again but I dont know where I put my notes
Clearing my throat, and gripping the lectern I smile and face my audience
Clearing his throat and smiling with his hands on the bathroom sink
And when I lean my head against the frosted shower stall
I see stuff through the glass that I dont recognize at all
And Im not done
And I wont be till my head falls off
Though it may not be a long way off
Im not done talking yet
Im not done talking yet
And when I lean my head against the frosted shower stall
I see a broken figure silhouetted on the wall
And Im not done
And I wont be till my head falls off
Though it may not be a long way off
I wont be done until my head falls off

Only When It Is Conducive
Am I offended by your limited comprehension?
Sometimes.
When thoughts I could have saved...
Bravely fought through your ignorance.
Am I offended by your pretense?
Only when it is conducive.
And I am aware of the excuses used,
By someone insecure.
And flaunting their own mental abuse.
Do I feel a need to free myself sometimes?
Yes!
Especially when I am smothered...
By others who are vacant.
Or just absent with no minds.
However...
I am never that detached from free amusements.

I Want A New Drug
I want a new drug
One that wont make me sick
One that wont make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick
I want a new drug
One that wont hurt my head
One that wont make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
I want a new drug
One that wont spill
One that dont cost too much
Or come in a pill
I want a new drug
One that wont go away
One that wont keep me up all night
One that wont make me sleep all day
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
Im alone with you baby
I want a new drug
One that does what it should
One that wont make me feel too bad
One that wont make me feel too good
I want a new drug
One with no doubt
One that wont make me talk too much
Or make my face break out
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you

Rhyme Reason
Oh well oh well so here we stand
But we stand for nothing
My heart calls to me in my sleep
How can I turn to it
cause Im all locked up in this
Dark place--
And I do not know Im as good as dead
My head aches--
Warped and tied up I need to kill this pain
My head wont leave my head alone
And I dont believe it will
Until Im dead and gone
My head wont leave my head alone
And I dont believe it willl
Until Im six feet under gound
How long Im tied up
My mind in knots--
My stomach reels in concern for what I might do or
What Ive done
Its got me living in fear
Well I know these voices must
Be my sould Ive had my grave
Lying wired and shut and quiet in my grave
Leave me here
Leave it to me to waste here
So young and here I am again
Talking to myself
A tv blares
Oh man
Oh how I wish I didnt smoke
Or drink to reason with my head
But sometimes this thick confusion
Grows utnil I cannot bear it all
Needle to the vein
Needle to the vein
Take this needle from my vein my fiend
I said
In my grave
Lying, lying cold in my grave
The reason--my reason
Take my head off this terror
The fearing wont come back
I cant see my minds all wiped clean
The needle
Make my great escape
I seem caught in time
My head leaves me behing
Body fall cold
And I have seen heaven

There are huge advertising budgets only when there's no difference between the products. If the products really were different, people would buy the one that's better. Advertising teaches people not to trust their judgment. Advertising teaches people to be stupid.

Lovely Head
It starts in my belly
Then up to my heart
Into my mouth I cant keep it shut
Do you recognize the smell
Is that how you tell
Us apart
I fool myself
To sleep and dream
Nobodys there
No-one but me
So cool
Youre hardly there
Why cant this be killing you
Frankenstein would want your mind
Your lovely head
Your lovely head

Nothing To Hide
There in my darkest hour, somehow you knew what I felt
And just in the nick of time you saved me from myself
Didnt know I could cut through my defenses
And see through the mask
I figured you must want something from me, but you never asked
I just had to call and you were always there
I think you must have been the answer to my prayer
With you Ive got nothing to hide
My heart is starting to pound
Now the walls are tumbling down
I wish I could find the words that linger just out of reach
I see myself in your eyes and lose my power of speech
I am someone now that I dont recognize
It took someone like you to shatter my disguise
Now Ive got nothing to hide
My hearts remembering to pound
I can feel the walls coming down
Ive got nothing to hide
All that I needed was you around
Now the walls are tumbling down
Head in the sky, feeling just like some kind of lovesick child
I finally pulled through, and I owe it to you, dont want to keep it inside
I am someone now that I dont recognize
Oh Im healing, Im believing, you made me realize

how situation changes
sometimes we do not notice
you look at the child's face
you think it is still the usual girl's face
the usual humiliation comes with a name
a old name
you fail to recognize that beyond
the girl's face is a strong woman
that you fail to recognize
you refuse to give way to the changes
look at you
miserable as a rat jumping from the boat
just to save yourself
and yet when you see the girl in that
woman's face
you keep on clinging to what was once great
falling like debris
upon the present citadel of broken pieces
how can you not see the misery in you now?
poor as a rat but prouder still like a lion
without teeth
disregarding the near death
ahead of you
miserable rich, wretched by the price
of your time
look at you
how can you not see that rat in you

When it went on the air, the sales department hated it. It was the highest advertising pullout show in the history of NBC. At the early focus groups, people were saying, 'Who are these people? Why should we watch them?
If you ever have the good fortune to create a great advertising campaign, you will soon see another agency steal it. This is irritating, but don't let it worry you; nobody has ever built a brand by imitating somebody else's advertising.

Doing What I Do For Too Long
Keep 'this' in mind.
I don't 'have' to express an opinion,
When asked.
I 'select' to give one.
Realizing this...
I don't have to give any at all.
And if I should elect to express it...
I am giving it to the one who asked!
Who they should share it with is their business.
That is 'why' I keep my opinions,
To a limit.
And embellishments done to my statements,
Are obvious for the creative exaggerations made.
I've been doing what I do for too long,
Not to recognize those who plagiarize!
And those who 'ask' for answers to questions...
Just for the purpose to initiate conflict!
They are the ones quick to disagree,
To any response I may give.
And this 'before' I give it,
Is known!
